We ordered breakfast burritos. they were very nice and fast. Food was good.

Best restaurant in Hernando for breakfast! Hands down! Best cook and waiters and waitresses . Always packed and this is why! Everything is delicious and I wished they served breakfast all day long ! I know the owner is smiling down from heaven.

Absolutly delicious. We had omelets and a breakfast bowl. Katie was our server. She is professional and cheerful. We look forward to a return visit. If you are hungry and in the area, Please, drop in there for a lovely experience.

This is by far one of my favorite places to go eat. I'm there a couple times a week. The staff are amazing and treat you like family.

I get the street tacos every time and they’re amazing! I’ve tried street tacos from everywhere in desoto county & taco Felix definitely has the best! Not to mention their heavenly green sauce

Everything was great the service the food especially the drinks 🥃😵‍💫😎. The tables were a little cramped and it was like we were so close to the kitchen we were in there with them fixing the food. Otherwise I love it.

Ordered 2 orders to go and a diet soda. Tipped three Modelo one for each cook and the waiter. Paid 100.00 gave the waiter two more singles for each cook and a five for him. Review: No steak on the Carne asada plate, rice was hard, eggs folded and toasted to crisp not scrambled, not hand made tortillas, called for the proprietor and the pill head said snotty I am the manager and the same lady was kissing ass to two ladies shaming her private life and getting .15 cents.

I love the large portions and the family atmosphere. Once you have breakfast here, nowhere else will measure up. Come on in and be surprised at how a Mexican restaurant can serve up a great home style mess of food.

It is more of a neighborhood diner. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious and plentiful. I had the Mexican omelette and it was delicious. I would recommend eating here.

It was busy but the wait staff was very helpful and the food was delicious. I got the quesa birrira and wow was it good. Very good seasoning and enough topping to also put in my rice making it even better. My daughter has a plain crunchy taco and it was really good as well. We'll definitely be coming back.

Was greeted when I walked in. Waiter was very friendly. I had a strawberry margarita which was a little strong but that is never a bad thing. For my meal I tried the fajita bowl and it was very good and a healthy option for me to have.

We were told that they had a super breakfast. We were not bowled over. It reminded us of an old filling station that had been changed to a restaurant. It was not as clean inside as we would have wished.

Taco Felix is one of the wonderful flavors of Mexican cuisine. You may order the best tacos, salsa & chips, and grilled chicken. Moreover, I had a waffle with bacon sausage for my breakfast. It was very delicious. This restaurant made my first day of this year perfect.

The menu had lots of choices for breakfast and the food was well cooked and delicious and tastey. I had the full size omlett with chicken, three cheeses, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. This was a big omlett for a reasonable price.

Foog was great nice little authentic Mexican restaurant love there shrimp tacos, Carne asada and fresh juices.

Food was very salty. It was all I could taste. No flavor - they forgot my cilantro add on all carte- and I didn’t want rice on my burrito- so they took the liberty of stuffing gross French fries into it. Tasted horrible.I got three different tacos to try— The only thing I could halfway eat was a fish taco- but they don’t add lime or cilantro- just salt. Took longer than expected also. Would not recommend

Great food and service, they were short a cook that day, so it was a little crowded(they closed down the patio) and slow. But, it's always good at Taco Felix! 🌮

No doubt the food was decent and the salsa wasn't spicy so I loved that. But my sister ordered some street tacos (which were so small you literally could be done in two bites) and she said they were overly salty. She then asked me to taste it so we could see what item on the taco was salty so we could just remove it ourselves and not have to send food back, which we hate doing. The server came over and I explained the situation so he took the plate and she ordered a different menu item. She was satisfied with her fajita tacos so now time for the check. I never physically was handed a receipt/ check. The server read all items that were ordered and proceeded to give a total. I'm like no wait! We sent the street tacos back so why are you charging for it. So he said it's their policy if you eat more than half of the dish you have to be charged full price. First of all, it was their fault the food was salty. Secondly, the dish would include her sides as well which she didn't even touch. She only tasted one of the tacos. Instead of removing the item off the receipt I never saw, he says oh but I can give you 30% off your meal. If you can do that why not just take the item off. This was frustrating and something I've never experienced before. This was my first and last outing to Taco Felix. That service was unfair.

Ach. I hate giving anything less than five stars. However, we've made three attempts to give this quaint place a chance. Yesterday, it was our last visit. The tacos are so thin that they collapse while you're taking a bite. It's meat, cheese and a little cheese. That's it. We bought two that and the cost is $5+. They people are wonderful! The free chips and dip are extraordinary! If they could create tacos that will stay together until eaten, we would give it another chance.

Hernando is a great location. Very busy so be Patient while waiting for a table. Staff is top touch and always very friendely.

I dined last evening on the patio at Taco Felix in Hernando. I had several special requests with my order because of dietary/medical issues. The order came exactly as I ordered, AND the kitchen staff had given me a bit extra of a couple of things because I had four things held. I thought that was so nice that they tried to somewhat offset the things that I had them to hold. By the way, I ordered a fajita bowl; the meal (la comida...LOL) was delicious, it looked very attractive, and the service was Outstanding. My server remembered that I always order water and that I'm not eating the chips and salsa now...and remembered a couple of other things. I recommend Taco Felix. The food is consistently outstanding, the service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is so nice.

This is the TLDR version of a rant now deleted, most of us don't read Google reviews for story time. Salsa bad-bad. "Almost-authentic" Tex Mex is literally what they served. Servers seemed lost. Kids Menu is frozen food somehow not cooked right. (¿Donde esta la air fryer?) Wonky tables and booth seats that sink as low as the quality of the restaurant. Do not come here.

I have eaten here a bunch and the food and service are always top notch. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all good here. Highly recommend!

Still the Best Breakfast in Hernando

My hubby and I were both ill after eating here. Atmosphere was loud and hot. They had to bring fans out to try to help make the dining area more comfortable. The food looked over cooked and was not pleasant to look at. I have been told the BREAKFAST is 🔥 but we won't be back.

In the past I have really enjoyed eating here but today was different. The salsa was watery and after eating many chips we saw a bug in the basket. It looked as if it had been fried in with the chips. Terrible! I appreciate their apology but we will not be coming back.

Burrito Felix is top notch. Chicken steak shrimp and chorizo for the win.

Passing through and we ate here for dinner. There is nice patio so our pooch was welcome. We both had the Street Tacos one order steak and one grilled chicken. At $9.95 including rice and refried or black beans was a good bargain for the quality Complementary chips and salsa was also included. They were excellent!! I watched other orders come out and everything looked delicious. Service was great!! A++++

When walking in, we were told to sit anywhere, we did. After 10 minutes a lady walked by and asked us what we wanted to drink, waters. The waters returned fairly quickly but still no menu. After another 15 minutes, no menu and no one returned to our table. We sat sipping water and waited for almost a half hour then gave up and left. We will not return to this restaurant. How does a restaurant ignore customers when that is literally their only job, to serve customers food? Let me not fail to mention that during this time, 3 employees took their food breaks at the table next to us. Not one of them acknowledge us. Do better.

Went here with my husband last week, people who came in after us ordered after got their food and were done and we had to ask where ours was. Meanwhile we had queso and guacamole…Guac had HAIR in it…multiple too! I was completely disgusted when my husband dipped a chip and picked up a hair. This is not the first time it’s happened, but take out I chalked up to maybe it was mine…NOPE. Then my husbands food came out and I told him not to wait for me…he was halfway through and I still didn’t have mine. I will drive to Southaven before ever going back to this place.

Went for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. The biscuits and gravy are so yummy! The breakfast menu has lots of choices and we really enjoyed our food. Our server was excellent! So attentive and nice! We sat outside on the patio because the weather was great. They were very busy but we were seated right away and our wait for food was not bad at all! I totally forgot to take pictures!

I recently visited Taco Felix for breakfast and I have to say, I was blown away by how delicious everything was. The breakfast burrito in particular was out of this world. Every bite was a delight. The eggs were fluffy and the meat was juicy and savory. It was exactly what I needed to start my day off right. The staff at Taco Felix were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made me feel right at home and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Overall, I would highly recommend Taco Felix to anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast experience. The food is top-notch and the service is unbeatable. If I’m ever passing through the area again, I will definitely stop by again!

Decent spot. Had the “Chile Colorado” burrito. It was bland with not much flavor. The savior was the spicy salsa (you need to ask for it otherwise they give you a small bowl of tomato sauce). It certainly for locals. Would not recommend to outsiders that have a pallet for Mexican food. If I had to equate Taco Felix I would say similar to Filiberto’s but lower on the flavor scale. Enjoy amigos.

Such a solid choice. We always plan our trips south with a stop here during lunch or dinnertime. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is excellent. Savory and delicious no matter what you choose. The cheese dip is especially good. Highly recommend!

Great margaritas (on the rocks, please)! Chicken tinga quesadilla was excellent, chicken was moist, spices were perfectly balanced. I NEVER get salsa that is spicy enough, since I make my own habañero salsa at home, but guess what? The habañero salsa met my heat requirements! Not for the faint of heart. Servers were friendly, helpful and attentive - we will be back.

Shrimp and chorizo is my regular. No Pico de Gallo. Sometimes there's not much cheese, but plenty of meat. The thing is huge. We've been patrons since they opened. The only Mexican restaurant we go to in Hernando.

They used to be reasonable in price they are way overpriced especially at lunch

I ordered the Steak & Eggs, which is a T-bone with some side choices. I got a pancake, grits, biscuit & gravy and Pepsi to drink. I gave Felix an average score because the issues are so common. I sat on the patio because it's a beautiful day. I told them I was going there and there were already two occupied tables. My server was very attentive as I placed my order. Another person brought the food. The original server is supposed to come back to ask if everything is all right. She didn't, so I went in to get a steak knife. I got back to my seat and realized there were no pepper & salt on the table. The tables have umbrellas. I thought they might put s&p out when they opened. Nope. Rather than go inside again, I waited until she came back - it seemed like ages. I asked her for it as she started to walk away with her back to me. By the time she wandered back with salt & pepper, everything was cold. I don't eat grits or eggs without s&p. Better to be cold than bland. Thr biscuit was about 5 inches tall and crumbly. Even with the gravy, it disintegrated. The steak was good, but it was not rare, as I had ordered. The only rare place was by the bone, with the rest being medium. It was tasty and easy to cut with the steak knife. Nobody mentioned steak sauce. It could've used some A-1. The waitress FINALLY came back with my ticket and I asked for a to-go box for the pancake and steak. That was a mistake. Anyway, you get the picture. Except for the crumbly biscuit, the food was not bad. The service was abysmal. The server started to pout when I went in for the steak knife. When I first came in. I overheard her saying that there are only two employees that speak Spanish! Crazy white owners in a giant population of Mexican Americans in North Mississippi. I came here only because it's not far from Kroger and I wanted to try it. I thought it would be cheaper. From now on, I will drive over to the Kroger parking lot and eat authentic Mexican American food at Mi Pueblo.

I had called my order in way before arriving to pick it up and when I arrived they said my order was "accidentally" given to another person. I had to wait another 25 minutes for my food which should have been there but wasn't. I even had to pay full price and nothing was knocked off my ticket. I still had to pay full price!!! They never offered to give a discount! Nothing. I didn't tip which I always do. I'll think twice before I go back. I like Rio Lindo in Senatobia better.

Food was really good , one of best tasting Mexican food spots in Mississippi southern area forsure . The service was also great , all the waiters were attentive and ready to help with anything.

If you've ever been to Taco Felix 2, this is nothing like it! It's SO much better! Parking is limited, the location feels like a hole in the wall, and seating is limited... But the food and service was PHENOMENAL and for an amazing price!

We had breakfast and it was so delicious. As busy as they are it's not a big secret that they have the best breakfast in town.

This has been my spot for Mexican for years... great food, breakfast, lunch, dinner.... reasonably priced.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Taco Felix. I had the street tacos and they were amazing. The rice and beans were also very good. The complementary chips and salsa were also above average. The staff was friendly, courteous, and attentive. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is small but it only adds to the charm of the place.

Is soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and was offered a table. I told him no thank you I would just sit at this ledge behind the bar and order. Within one minute of taking my seat my server had already brought salsa and a basket of chips. I also ordered a margarita which was quite tasty. It was hard to choose from a menu of such tasty options, but I finally settled on the burrito supreme. Now this ain't no Taco Bell burrito supreme that I'm talking about. This was a massive footlong burrito that was about as around as a softball. Believe me it was an awful lot of food packed in there. By the way, it took less than 2 minutes after placing my order to receive it in front of me. I can't believe I ate the whole thing, but I just couldn't stop myself from eating. It was that good!!

Taco Felix is one of the many choices for Mexican food in the Hernando area. This is a local favorite and pretty busy every afternoon. I don’t come here much for lunch or dinner but this is our main choice for ordering breakfast burritos. They only serve breakfast until 11 and they don’t have the same menu options as Taco Felix in Southaven so keep that in mind. I deducted a star because my drive thru order was wrong twice. Both times when ordering a chicken dish. However, the food is still pretty good and they can make it quickly.

We've traveled to a lot of Mexican/Tex-mex restaurants in this area and this is by far our winner. We come back on a near weekly basis. The guacamole is the freshest we've found and the food is not watered down on flavor. Recently had the Sopa Pollo and wow, it was amazing.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars. This was a really good breakfast spot. The breakfast tacos are delicious.
