Everything seemed filthy and sticky counter top by the pop machine was flithy. Food was great otherwise. The restaurant is overall modern and nice. Men’s bathroom was out of order completely. Had to use women’s to wash my hands.

One thing I will say on their behalf is that we got there with a half hour before they closed...as someone that's worked in fast food before, I know how it goes. But we were the ONLY ones in line though, and our order was not difficult so we didn't think too much about it. Before ordering, we are told that the grill is off already and they can't do anything grilled and they're out of something else. Fine, no big deal. Just wanted some oles and burritos. We place our order and pull up to the window, they take our payment and give us our drinks. Then, no joke, 10 to 15 minutes go by and we don't even see anyone moving around in there. Finally, around 20 minutes later we get our food.. we figure they had to make everything fresh... unfortunately the burritos were lukewarm at best, they were not prepared properly and we didn't get our nacho cheese. 10/10 wouldn't recommend going here during night shift. We fully understand it's close to closing time....but if you don't want to serve us just don't answer the drive through, or tell us you had to close early for some reason. It was like they just wanted us to drive off before ordering and again after paying. Or close earlier if it's too tough being open late night. Won't be going here again.

Ordered six tacos 🌮 from this restaurant and thee tacos where as skinny as a rail hardly any filling they forgot my guacamole .! potatoes were good the nachos were really sad no cheese no nothing came with it .. the delivery guys were great tho .. so taco John’s y’all need to step it up better quality food ..

I like tacos, and Taco John's does a good job with it. I mainly go there because I can take my super duty truck through the drive-through, and they have diet mountain dew.

The breakfast food was great and the service was phenomenal. Leaf is always kind and a great person to talk to. Keith at the window also makes me laugh and has great jokes. 5/5 stars

Im in Pierre SD. It’s June 9th 2024, around 10pm. Just had the young woman at the drive throw window toss our bag of food at us & had an attitude the whole time ordering. As someone who has worked in customer service, I advise she finds a different job if you’re going to act that way towards customers.

The morning manager (Lear) has always been super nice and inviting and food was always right and fresh.

05/24/24 Leaf the manager was amazing helping the new cashier out I don't remember the others names but they made the food fast and correctly

They always forget something in your order

My girlfriend and I stooped in today to get something to eat, and we went through the drive through. We got helped out by a man named Ben. This dude is cooler than a mug. This guy made my girlfriends and i day today. Definitely put a smile on our faces.

Ordered 6 minutes before breakfast service ended, waited in line in drive thru for 20 minutes before deciding to drive off as there was no way the food was still going to be fresh since it had been so long since I ordered….ridiculous

I would like the meat to be less spicy.

Recently the Breakfast Burritos have been so tasty good..!!.. Totally ruined by finding an earring in the first burrito & didn't eat the second burrito. Called the TJ's staff; the first lady was courteous & the second lady was rude & wanted to be right when I informed her about the earring. She became louder & started sounding belligerent so I returned the attitude since she made it sound like I was lying. Poor pitiful customer service. I was informing them not blaming or accusing. I may still go there & order, "Breakfast Burrito hold the earrings!" And I gave one star because I had to but they get no stars from me. *Pierre SD Taco John's*

Nothing beats the breakfast burritos

Super slow. Food was good. The lady at the cash register had a really hard time communicating.

Ordered 3 - #5 crispy chicken combos to go. First time we received 1- #3 combo. Second time we received 3 - #5 grilled chicken combos... Potato oles were in the warmer for the duration of our wait. We never did receive what we ordered.

I guessed i just expected more.

Taco John's in Pierre is always good. Quick service and correct food.

Ate here several times this month. Paid for Nacho cheese for Ole's and did not get any. My husbands food got cold while he went down to get it. Today ordered two hard shell taco's add sour cream, onions and x-tra hot sauce. No sour cream, no onions not hot sauce packets. I had to get back to work, so ate them. Sent my husband to get back the dollar for sour cream and he was called a liar and said he would have needed to bring the food back. Well I work and don't have time for that and they do not offer to reimburse my gas or time. Hence my lying husband did not get our dollar back. Worst customer service.

It's a Taco Johns. Grabbed some stuff to-go, food was hot and order was correct. Restaurant looked clean inside. No issues!

Another great Taco John's location! I have been to many and this is one of the better ones I have been to.

This place is amazing if you're drunk

Not sure what’s going on with TJ’s but I bought a Breakfast Burrito & my soft shell was hard (like a stale tortilla) & the potato oles tasted old, along with them being hard. Which ended up being a waste of money on my end. I had a friend go & when she asked why her potato oles were hard, the staff said “we have to rewarm the already cooked oles so we don’t waste” YUCK.

5/5 the first night. Unfortunately, things changed the second night things went to hell and a handbasket. Our order was completely wrong and when we went back they had to observe the food and tried handing us back the food they TOUCHED in the kitchen. Stating that nothing was wrong with our order. Completely unsanitary. They also made a big deal about having to remake the food.

Food was good and the service was super quick

It took 5 minutes for someone to take my order. They were out of small lids and the lobby needed attention. I counted 7 people working and no one to clean the lobby or take counter orders. Very disorganized.

No ice! Wrong order! 40 min wait!

Six pack and a pound, consisting of 3 soft tacos and 3 crispy tacos and Ole's that were lightly seasoned. The tacos were limp and uninspired. I gave 4 stars for service just because they did get the Ole's right.

Cheese is watered down and food tastes like plastic and cardboard with taco seasoning.

Love 6pack and a pound, so when I got into town late, we went straight for Taco John's. Unfortunately, food was delivered cold and when asked for it to be fixed they wouldn't because if was to close to closing.

The person that took the order started then things went silent. After about 3 min they came back and asked if we had been helped yet. Finally got to order but get the total and told to go to the 2nd window before we could order anything else. Got the food and half the shell from the taco salad was missing. Don't bother paying for extra items. You won't get them.

Figured i would update last person to say it was 4 months ago but the drive thru is still EXTREMELYSLOW i thought the speakers was broken thats how slow it was i was there for over 15 minutes waiting to order food DO NOT COME HERE!!!! IF U ARE IN A HURRY!!!

Went and got a 6 pack and a pound, a quesadilla. The tacos hardly has anything on them all you tastes was the shell. The quesadilla barley has any cheese on it. For the price that we paid you would expect more. This Taco Johns has gone down hill. The soda needed to be changed out. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Needs to be shut down. Or people that actually know what they are doing

Drive through is insanely slow. Drive through is supposed to be quick for those on the go, but this takes longer than going in to dine elsewhere. I saw 1 car move in the line in 10 minutes.

Taco John's is pretty consistent no matter the location. This location was busy, a little slow (not in a bad way because everything was hot and prepared well), and had good staff that were helpful and congenial.

Super Nachos had cheese meat tomato on chips. ? Oops.... what happened to the rest? Get LOTS of got sauce. About 20 packets.

Carpet in dining area needs attention my shoes were sticking to the carpet and while there were only a few people in at 3 ish all the tables were dirty and high chairs were super sticky. Looked very dirty and not appealing.

I enjoy Taco John's for some highly Americanized Mexican from time to time, but I was admittedly EXTREMELY surprised by their breakfast! While some fast food places have decent breakfast burritos, the one thing that's always annoyed me is that they're 60% filling and 40% tortilla, and I'm not the biggest fan of flour tortilla flavor. However, Taco John's is more like 85% filling and 15% tortilla, so you can barely taste the tortilla. Not to mention the potato ole's keep their crunch so you get not only flavor, but texture. I never thought I would say Taco John's is my favorite fast food breakfast food, but here I am!

Slow service, messed up order.

Pierre SD Taco John's...Do NOT order the chicken tacos. BRICK hard..can't bite..can't bend..and COLD. I took it back up to the counter for a replacement. Don't waste your money or your time...

Waiting in line for an hour only to discover you didn't put any Lettuce or tomatoes on any of the tacos. Horrible incompetent people own this place who obviously do not know how to hire anyone who can make a Taco. TRASH.

Its okay if you want something fast to eat but they make a lot of mistakes.

The service was good. They messed up my order I was supposed to get an all beef taco bravo with no beans and fot an all bean with no beef. Very disappointed in that.

some of the friendliest staff I’ve met in fast food, it’s always clean and food comes quickly and exactly how I want it, everything is spot on and great management, I don’t understand the negative reviews but I’m willing to bet you went to fast food and expected something nicer and I’m also willing to bet you went on taco Tuesday, made a 70$ Order in drive thru and held up a line because you didn’t call ahead AND still complained about wait times and cold tacos when you ordered in the winter and drove for 20 minutes back to the house and all the while you got your moneys worth and still ate the food so please, remember nobody wants to work right now and fast food is struggling too

The food generally is always good it's my favorite taco place but as in all fast food they seem to be struggling with help God bless him for trying

The potato oles hed liitle to few bacon bits in it. Not as much flavor as other places.

As a previous employee all that food is hand made. There's nothing premade about it. So yea it gets hectic when people wanna Be picky eaters. Gotta remember it's fast food not gourmet. It's hit and miss. If it's busy don't expect quality. My six pack and a pound looked like a 3rd grade art project.

If you are here, in this town, and want fast food tacos. This is the only game in town. I have been going to this exact taco johns my entire life. I even lived right behind it in an apartment, when I was a kid, and my bed was 20-30 feet from the drive thru. How do i summarize such a long extended exposure to a place. I've seen this place through fund raisers for those in need. This place is the reason I know what a Potato Olè is. I've gone so many times that the food was great the Olès were fresh, delicious and clearly cooked in clean oil. I've also had times where the Olès they were clearly none of those things. So...Go here, get a "6 pack and a pound" and eat it. It's the go to option for most I think. "Taco Tuesday" (which is discounted tacos on Tuesdays lol) is also still a thing, I believe.

Fresh food made to order, usually pretty fast but there are times where they get slammed when the whole town wants tacos, employees are nice and mistakes are handled well
