Freaking amazing! This is 100% comfort food! And while it is far from being "friendly" to various dietary choices/needs--this place is awesome! The food is well made and DELICIOUS! The employees are the most personable and friendly people I've met in a while, and the atmosphere is just so fun!!! It is worth a cheat-day on your diet--confort food win!

Probably the best everyday Mexican food I have ever had. Seriously. Very good tasting, unique choices. I highly recommend this place.

My party came in semi-haggard from a day of walking, but ready to dig in. Taco Luchador never disappoints and I’m glad to say this location was totally wheelchair accessible, down to the height of the tables. We got started with some heavenly mango margarita, split four ways. Wait staff was incredible, and when the food arrived it was as though a hush fell over the table, we were all so enamored with our plates. The birria is unmissable but don’t discount their tortas with fried plantains. Whenever I come down to Louisville from Indiana this is a must visit.

Food was well presented but lacked depth of flavor. Barbacoa was more like pot roast with a very mild chili sauce. I'm used to barbacoa having some fat to it whereas the one here seemed very lean; maybe it was just the luck of the draw. Overall score: 3.75 / 5.

I used to love this place...well, I still do but the portions have decreased while cost has increased. I ordered the carne asada bowl and felt like I half the meat was missing~ Still one of the best carne asada tacos (on corn tortilla) in the city. I will return. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience at this restaurant. I have a service animal. One of the employees was allergic & she didn’t see fit to have him in the restaurant. When asked to show the service tags, my phone was attempted to be grabbed out of my hand without my permission. I also received major attitude after showing his credentials because she still didn’t want to have him in. Service dogs should not be an issue, but in this restaurant they are frowned upon.

I ordered the chips and queso as an appetizer. For my meal, I chose the Baja Fish Taco and Suadero Taco. The sauce on the fish taco had minimal flavor, it was bland and almost tasted like mayonnaise. The breading on the fish was thick and also bland. The tortilla was not fresh, was not hot, and tasted bland. The slaw was good. I ate the slaw and the removed most of the breading to eat the fish. For the Suadero taco, the tortilla was also bland, not fresh, and not hot. The meat was too salty, fatty, and had gristle. The sauce was slightly oily and did not have much flavor either. I did not eat that taco. The chips and queso was not much better. I ate about 5 chips with the queso. The chips were not fresh, not salted very well and tasted like they could have been bought from the local grocery store. The queso was warm but didn't have much flavor either. The atmosphere is nice. It is clean, colorful, and the staff are friendly. My sister highly recommended Taco Luchador to me but I think it fell far short of what I heard and expected.
