Amazing tacos! Will be back often!!

Cash only burrito truck that cost more than a sit down.... smdh....

Best burrito in the east bay by a decently wide margin, and I've tried at least 15 different places. Solid asada, pastor, and lengua. Their quesadilla is a small thing with a side of shredded lettuce and a dollop of sour cream. They recently started taking credit cards.

I'm a massive fan of Mexican food and this has been my number 1 go to burrito place for the past year or so. Just an incredibly tasty burrito and the tacos are phenomenal too. However, it is a huge bummer that the price has increased now to 15.50 for a burrito, having been 13 for a while. It's a great burrito, but arguably no longer worth the price; the size is also not large enough to merit this price increase. There are other spots nearby that give an equal quality burrito (or almost equal) for much less. Still highly recommend tho haha

We had asada and al pastor tacos. I've eaten at many taco trucks and these were just not that good. I won't go back.

I had severe food poisoning 1 hour after eating the burrito. I threw up over 9 times and my whole body hurts. Never ever going back or recommend you to go

Don’t eat the burrito. They must use old rice or their refrigeration is broken. My wife and several close friends are now sick with severe food poisoning, one of whom is 33 weeks pregnant. I had the tacos- they had the burritos. I’m not picky- I love the ceviche here and I love the tacos. I have love in my heart for the people in the taco truck. Fact is- they just poisoned a few people I care deeply for and I don’t think I can ever go back. If you do visit, the wait is not long unless the bar next door is busy. The tacos are safe. The ceviche has always been great and is a rare treat because they don’t make much. Don’t get anything with rice or you’ll get the runs.

Fav place in the North Bay to get tacos or Burritos when I'm craving beefy goodness. For tacos I get Cabeza and Tripa. Their carnitas have good flavor too. I like to combine the 2 beefy meats in my burritos. I like to believe they added the option of half half meat choices on their posted menu because of me :P Definitely worth the dollar or two more! Also I like that their tripas are fried on the blacktop rather than deep frying, making them crispy yet preserving their tender chewiness. Ask for pickled veggies to go with their tacos and both Salsa Verde & Roja (Green & Red) Good flavor horchata on the occasion I get it. Not watery, good cinnamon

Review update- I’ve been here a few times now and there is an issue with consistency. They’ve also messed the order up twice (out of like 5 times) with that said it is still a top 5 taco truck in the East Bay. Excellent Carnitas Tacos and the Asada Burrito is rich and flavorful.

Best taco truck hands down! Ordered tripe, cow tongue, and beef tacos! Amazing flavor! The atmosphere is not so great as the truck is next to a dive bar. I get it, people get drunk and the food craving kicks in. Will be eating here indefinitely unless food quality changes. Highly recommended this taco truck! Street parking!

Still my go to taco truck spot in the last 10 years. They have show consistency in flavor and quality throughout the years.

Carnitas is great, al pastor solid. Favorite part is when they warm the tortillas until a little crisp is formed. That can be hit or miss. Grab a cheap pint at Hotsy Totsy & enjoy.

delicious cheap tacos! they give you tasty pickled peppers and salsa with your order if you ask. this truck's tacos are far better than any sit-down restaurant tacos I've had, and the workers in the truck are nice people. if you're in the area you should get these tacos, you won't regret it! the food is carry-out only though the bar next door lets you eat the tacos in there I believe.

I have been going here for years and the quality has remained consistent. Unfortunately the last two times I went there different employees were making the burritos and the younger new girl seemed annoyed at her job. Their prices for a burrito went from $ 8 to $11 and they shrunk . The burrito I got yesterday which is also the last one I get from this place was 1/2 the size of the old days and the massive tortilla was looped so many times it resulted in roughly a 1/3rd of the burrito being flour. Flavorless rip-off. Save your money.

[Cash Only] solid 4.5! Between the two of us we had 3 tacos (beef tongue, steak, tripe) & steak burrito with avocado. Beef burrito was a little salty but still good. All were delicious!

Atmosphere I gave a 2 because let's be honest, it's a truck in the alley behind a bar. That said, I find these kind of places offer the best foods Getting to which, the food here is phenomenal! Delicious burritos? Check! Can't miss tacos? Check! Everything is good and we come back here regularly. Don't miss out on their lengua and cabeza. Douse everything in their tangy and spicy salsa Verde and get a side of pickled jalapenos and carrots and you'll be a happy camper. So so good!

Open until midnight and cash only. I've only tried their burritos but I see many customers getting their tacos. The Carne Asada might be a little salty for some, but great late night Mexican food after a night of drinking. You have to get it to go or eat in the bar next door.

Their carnitas is fantastic. I'm within walking distance but I know people that make it a destination over other places that are closer to where they live. I usually get tacos or a torta, Gordo is my go-to for burritos. It can get busy close to meal times which means you might have a bit of a wait. Fortunately you duck into the bar for some quick pain relief if you're so inclined.

Delicious tacos. My son loved his beef burrito and on our 2nd run he loved the 'lengua' burrito. Vegetable and chicken tacos are sooo good. Freshest of veggies and meats, loaded w yumminess.

Hands down, BEST TACO SPOT IN EAST BAY. Where do I even begin? Ok the taste: amazing. Very flavorful. Even the tortilla by itself packs lots of flavor. The meat selection: 💯. I finally, finally found a delicious tripa taco!! Woohooo! A little soft, a little crunchy, a whole lotta perfect. The carnitas are muah *chef’s kiss* as are the birria tacos. You can also order a quesadilla, get it with birria, add the consome and bam. Meal! They also have lengua, cabeza, asada, al pastor and veggie, which are quite tasty. They do NOT skimp on the meat, toppings, salsa, or the little jalapeños and carrots they give you in little baggies. The prices? Phenomenal. $2.5-$3 for tacos, $10 for a huge torta or burrito. Pssh, it’s a steal! And the service is quuuick, baby! Even if there’s a lot of people, you will get your food in 10 min or less. AND they’re open literally every day. Every day. We go twice a week at least. It might not be good for my diet plans but it’s good for my soul.

We love trying new tacos so here we go Food: got 3 tacos asada 8/10 only because it was a tad bit salty, carnitas 10/10 crispy and flavorful, tripas 10/10 well cooked and crispy. Red salsa wasn't my fave only because it tasted too tomatoy, green salsa was bomb so flavorful. I do wish the tortilla was handmade but overall great to satisfy a street taco craving for sure. Prices were a bit pricey but reasonable $3 each. Wish they had pickled carrots and cebolla asada too but still good. Service: I appreciate that they had one person was charging and other handling food. Makes it feel clean. Very friendly also. No seating unless you want to go inside the bar next door. Overall i would likely to come back and would recommend

I ordered three tacos. The Birria was very tender and juicy, the Aastor was good, and the Lengua was my favorite because of the sweetness of the meat combined with the sourness of the sauce. The ceviche is great on tortilla chips.

I sent my boyfriend to get some food and this is the 3rd time they sent back less of what i ordered. Now i spent more then what i ordered. Do better. I payed for 6 tacos and only got 3. Just make sure to check your order.

Been in the bay 9+ years now from LA. These are the best tacos.

First time here. Ordered 1 taco of Pastor, Cabeza, Carnitas, & Birria. The meat was very tender, juicy, and flavorful. Had green salsa, which had a great flavor and wasn't too spicy. Lots of veggies available as well. Service was quick and polite. There isn't any seating area to eat there. Also parking is very scarce.

Growing up in San Diego its difficult to find Mexican food I can appreciate in the Bay Area, but I would definitely eat here again. It was excellent, and the salsa was actually quite good.

One of the best burritos we’ve had. My husband got a birria burrito and I got a veggie burrito and both were delicious!!

Luckily, Ivy Room shows tend to end before midnight and luckily this spot is open til midnight. Decided to give it a shot and it boy was it worth it. Absolutely delicious Birria tacos, some of the best if not best I've had in the Bay. 10/10 will be back to try the rest of their stuff.

Some of the best Latino food I've ever had. For the best prices I've ever seen. I left California 5 years ago and I haven't stopped thinking about this place. Nothing compares.

Delicious tacos made quickly at an amazing price. What else could one want? The lengua tacos are totally legit, btw. I’ve had them multiple times and consistently good! Tender, moist and very well prepped.

I get the beef burrito. Consistent every time! It's unusual for Albany to have a taco truck. Never saw one during my middle and high school years in this city. But I'm glad it's here now.

Carnitas were tender yet also crisped nicely, and their salsa was on point. I’ve been looking long for a great taco truck in Berkeley, and I believe my search has ended.

I LOVE THIS TACO TRUCK! It satisfies my taco cravings at any time of day! The tacos come out quick and fresh with all the toppings (if that's your style). There's always some foot traffic around the area, but definitely worth the wait even if you see a line. Just a reminder, they only accept cash, so make sure you're prepared. Otherwise, couldn't ask for more from this place.

Really amazing food! I try and eat plant based as much as possible so I can say their veggie tacos are really good. But for those days when you need some extra protein, and have been doing your best to reduce your carbon footprint, their chicken burritos are out of this world! The flavor is truly on another level. There can be a little wait, but it's not bad. Green salsa is the way to go. If you want more than one salsa with your burrito, make sure to ask ahead of time as I believe it costs a little more for extra. Line to order on the right usually, then just wait off to the left for your number (if they gave you a ticket). They don't always had out tickets if it's not too busy, so don't be alarmed if you don't get one. Enjoy!

Not sure why this place is hyped up. Nickel and dime for everything. Paid for chips and salsa and got two prepacked salsa with store bought chips. Nothing “Authense” about this truck

Probably the best Taco place in this area! Had been there hundreds of times when I was going to Berkeley for school! Definitely miss the food and the nice owner of the place.

If you've every had tacos in LA, or any where south thereof, then you'll know that the tacos in the Bay Area simply don't stack up. However this place comes closer than any other. The Birria is amazing and the Carnitas are juicy with the perfect amount of crispy!

# g r a t e f u l I have been to this taco truck next to the bar many times. There are certainly some busy times, but it is always worth the wait. My go-to is the Carnitas burrito, because this is one of the only mexican eateries (I’ve found) which has CRUNCHY carnitas. Their cabeza burrito is also very tasty. Be sure to stop by Tacos El Autlense.
