The chimichango shredded smothered in queso was making my mouth salivate. In other words the food was amazing.

I had no expectations and they surprised me. The food is really good.

Tongue tacos and steak quesadillas, chips and queso, and the horchata all on point, my favorite place.

I had the steak taco plate that came with two tacos, rice, and beans. Rice tasted homemade like Mom’s! Refried beans a little too salty for me. Steak meat was OK but also a little too salty for me. Black beans were on point. Homemade corn tortillas were awesome.

Ordered a breakfast burrito and got sick a half hour later. Stay away from this place. Don't know what kind of food it is , but Definitely not Mexican.

Oh my word! Best shrimp quesadilla I’ve ever had—no take that back, best quesadilla! Hands down! Shrimp was cooked to perfection, and a generous portion of meat&filling ratio. And exceptional price! Open space and quick service. Tasty!!

The manager is a person who has no patience and mistreats customers. The Restorant's biggest problem is the arrogance and mistreatment of the manager.

We eat here about one time a month for many years, and they have never let us down in quality of food and service. Great place for spanish food.

If you're not eating at Taco Son at least once a month, you're really missing out.. Everything I've had there has been really well-prepared, fresh ingredients and very flavorful. From basic burritos that are at least a pound and a quarter heavy, to the crunchy overstuffed tacos to the ceviche. Everything has been wonderful.!!! And if you go through the drive-thru, don't forget to leave a little something in the tip jar. Everyone inside is working just as hard to get your food out as fresh as possible as if you were sitting inside the restaurant. On 56th St North between Sligh and the Hillsborough river bridge. On the right side going north to Temple Terrace. ENJOY 😉 😉!!!

Solid breakfast burritos for $6.50. I watched the cook break 3 eggs into the burrito. I really liked the garlic heavy green salsa. The chorizo they used had quite a few chewy bits I had to spit out.

We have gotten food from TacoSon many times and for many years. On a recent Saturday I ordered the "Special of the Day" which was "Carnitas-Michoacan Style Braised Pork." After spitting out the gristly, chewy, inedible meat at least 6 to 8 times I gave up eating the meat. The rice was good BUT the bean portion was a less than half filled section of my takeout container. The upper right section is where the beans are always located. If you look at pictures from others' meals in the past you may see that section 100% filled. Also, the beans looked like reconstituted bean powder because there was not one single bean or portion of a bean present. It was 100% pureed orange-y bean "stuff." That's the last time I will order from TacoSon!

The first place I came to in order to get something to eat as I first arrived in Florida. My niece recommended this place and their food is delicious, filling and affordable 😋🤤😋

The food didn't taste badly but it also wasn't very flavorful, as you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant. Therefore, we weren't wow'd by the experience.

I'm not going to write down a huge explanation of why this place should never hopefully close, but the good here is alot of fresh and tasty fare for this style of food your gonna get for miles in all directions, just give any dish a try none have been bad yet for years, enjoy. Also they have always been very polite in service.

Man ...this use to be my favorite spot they just aren't as yummy as before but they are still one of the best in the bay area. You get a nice stuffed taco no skimping from the good stuff. Just missed the food before they changed the pricing .

Ordered the chicken flautas for delivery. Instead, they’re stuffed with mashed up chicken and potato. Pretty low.

I have been going here for years and under any other circumstances I wouldn’t even have wrote a review but the way they handle the situation was completely unacceptable!!!! My husband and I stopped by to grab lunch just to drive 30 min home to eat my taco salad and (on the 3rd bite) pull up a long piece of hair 😩 ok no problem I call to inform them but no answer after about 4 attempts I get in the car and drive back ANOTHER 30 mins to get this resolved. I walk in calmly and tell the cashier there is hair in my taco salad she then replies “that’s weird” No apology or anything so I said excuse me? She says I’m just saying it’s weird nothing has happen like this before.I then asked for a manager and she calls the girl over from drive thru who starts inspecting the plate that you can clearly see the hair on top of the food.She starts asking questions and for my receipt which I didn’t have luckily my husband had paid Apple Pay so he was able to bring it up that way because she started acting as though I was the problem. Honestly I just wanted them to remake the food minus the hair but after dealing with the unprofessional ladies in the front I just asked for a refund!!! I really liked this place but after the way they treated the situation I wouldn’t even spend $1 with them ever!!!

They remodeled this past winter and it looks great and clean. Food is always awesome. This place never disappointed me in over 10 Years. For the price is much better than fast food chain restaurants and better food.

I drive an hour to get their Friday special - yes I love it that much ❤️❤️ It called steak rancheros I believe and if you enjoy spicy foods you must ask for the green sauce.. at least that's what I reference it as and they sell it by the bottle too!🤗 The rice is perfection the combination of everything is delicious.

Been coming here for years they have always been My Go to for Tacos especially since I don’t care for Tacos like most my family, and as of late 2023 & now 2024 they’ve just been going downhill… Today was another failed attempt this year smh it’s like the meat is now tuff & extremely greasy and I’m not sure if the sour cream is good or bad but it’s like a whole different taste. I’m just hoping the restaurant can get back to its original taste and cooking cause a lot has changed there.

The food is great , I ordered take out during my lunch break 25 minutes in advance only to find out they don’t start making your order until you get there . Don’t recommend it for lunch if you have time constraints . They didn’t seem to care about my time at all .

Hands down best Mexican food in the Tampa Bay area

Winter recently for dinner and it was pretty good got a Carnitas burrito and my only complaint was it was pretty greasy like a big puddle of Grease stripping out the bottom when some people do want just personally not me the pricing was good though at $13 for a burrito rice and beans I would say that's pretty average

TacoSon's inconsistency makes it difficult to recommend. While dishes can be decent on good days, bad days are a letdown. Despite being the closest option to work, and my boss Dennis insisting that we go here, the fluctuating quality of the food—ranging from dry and inedible to flavorful—leaves much to be desired. The taco bowl's variable frying quality adds to the disappointment. If TacoSon could maintain consistency, it might be worth revisiting, but until then, it's hard to justify returning, especially after numerous disappointing experiences encouraged by my boss.

Ashley said this is the best tacos she's ever eaten and I couldn't agree more.

Food was 10/10 def go get the food. It’s the manager (I think it’s a Hispanic lady taller) that is rude. It shows on her face and in the way she acts toward the employees and customers. Learn to treat people nicer as a MANAGER

🤢🤢🤮🤮 ...probably because I lived in San Diego, Californi for years We ordered Lengua Nachos and Chicken Nachos. Both were gross. *i.e. 1. Nachos were not fresh and from a bag. 2. Instead of REAL shredded and melted cheese, the use processed, white, creamy, horribly flavored cheese, probably from a can. And cheese was at the bottom of the tray (like why?) 3. Each serving had two tablespoons of meat at best. 4. It's just a cold mess of goopy sour cream, guac, saucy cheese and soggy nachos out of a bag. If you know real Mexican food, stay away. BEWARE ***It is NOT Mexican Food, but it's kinda LIKE Mexican food.

Great place to grab a bite...very close to authentic Mexican food

I’ve been going to this place for over 10 yrs. I always go through the drive thru, but my issue is every time I ask for 5-6 sauces it’s a f$&@& issue when you can eat inside the restaurant and there’s a bottle of red and a bottle green sauce on each of the tables. The food is not even that authentic if you know about Mexican food. They put a whole bunch of veggies on their tacos so they can fill it up and put less protein. Authentic Mexican tacos have only 2 things besides the protein of choice, and that’s cilantro, and diced onions. So with that being said F$&@ TACOSON. 2 better options. 1 is on the parking lot of Publix on Busch and 56th St and the other one where Taco Bell is at, on the corner of Busch and 30th st.

This place is amazing. Whenever we are in the Temple Terrace area, we order a family platter meal and everyone loves it. Tacos are great and the rice and refried beans are delicious.

Authentic!!!! We had a chicken mole tamale, ceviche with shrimp and octopus, fish tacos and a side of grilled jalapenos... it was all wonderful! Everything was cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere with plenty of seating. Highly recommend Tacoson to anyone wanting authentic Mexican food 🤌

Taco son has the right amount of authenticity for me. They have never disappointed. Food is always fresh and flavorful . Good portions for your buck! If you're thinking about trying TACO SON. Stop thinking and swing by. In my 10 years of visiting they've delivered the best everytime .

On my way to Zephyrhills saw this Taco family restaurant in a small strip stores in Wesley Chapel Driving by on a whim, I decided to Stop and have lunch..wow the tortilla tacos ( my choice)pork shredded pork with a side of chips and queso was so delicious!! was served with a warm smile ..too the business its been open for 7 yrs How did miss this place ????? I will be back I'm okay with the drive for a delicious meal home-cooked taste . HIGHLY recommend 👌

My favorite taco place EVER. pricing isn't much more than anywhere else. Fresh ceviche, amazing homemade everything. Cabbage and fresh salsa on the tacos with amazing flavors. All of their salsas are extremely addicting. Highly recommend

I been here for years and I do not go to this place often, but their burritos are so good.... their guacamole and queso are bangers in my opinion. Would definitely recommend going there. I had no issues going there for a few handfuls of times. I guess the only things is bring salt for the guacamole (personal preference really), and sometimes my dad visits and when getting chicken, he gets more fat than normal in his chicken sometimes? It's probably rare but yeah. Never gotten sick there. Their number 1 in restaurant is well deserved. Would recommend!

There was a large metal staple in the vegetarian flautas. My partner bit into something sharp and pulled it out of her mouth. Who know what other kinds of careless and unsanitary practices are taking place here.

Huge portions. Seating is limited, so grab a number and grab a seat. Food was good. Popular with work crews, so a bit hectic.

1 hour and 25 min in the drive thru. Just awful. I would have left but then I was stuck and blocked in and had no choice but to wait. I used to come all the time but now I value my time more than waiting this long for 1 combo meal. The parking and drive thru situation needs to be fixed.

Good food. We had flautas, chimichanga, and nachos supreme. Everything was good. They use pickled onions which were delicious.
