I recently dined at this sushi place, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The sashimi cuts were very small, and the overall quantity of food felt lacking. To make matters worse, the sushi ginger only came with one order, and they forgot it with the second. When we finally received it, there was a salmon pin bone poking out of the ginger—completely unacceptable and a clear sign of poor sushi preparation. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning.

Went without a reservation. The place was full for the hibachi tables. Ordered meals in the restaurant side. Good Mai Tai and plenty of food. The steak was great with lots of fried rice.

Best hibachi food by far. Scorpion bowl was dangerously delicious and our chef was super talented.

Little rough on the outside but beautiful on the inside with friendly staff. Takoyaki was perfect and the chicken karaage was crispy, tender and delicious!

Bill the Bartender is amazing. Can't rave enough about Bill. Bill made us feel so welcome and made me want to come here time and time again. The servers made us feel unwelcome.

Aside from the dazzle of cooking your food in front of you with an array of tricks and magic, they go the extra mile to make your birthday special when you inform them that it is. They would take a picture of you and your family, have it printed and given to you same day with the date and it comes in a nice card. They also give you 2 scopes of ice cream. I would go there for all birthdays.

Takumi is a really good restaurant. It's been a while since we visited the hibachi, but it was fun when we did. The dining room/sushi bar are great. Excellent, fresh food, good prices - especially the lunch specials.

Food was good. A little pricey. Their 'salmon skin roll' is absolutely delicious. They should really 'refresh' the main entrance and restaurant in general. It smells like pee when you get in. Not appetizing. It was good, but probably won't go back there for another 3-4 years.

We'll go here pretty often. Normally we go on a Saturday for lunch. I get the Bento box, which is always outstanding I get it every time I go there, talk about a creature of habit. Prices are very reasonable. They actually just went up about a dollar and that's not bad considering most places. The bento box itself is a very filling lunch. It comes with a soup you got a salad with and the Bento box itself has some sushi, rice, tempura shrimp and vegetables. Overall it costs about $19 which is outstanding I think.

Hibachi is definitely popular here however I always come for the dining. It's surprising how they always have dining seating considering how delicious the food is here. I never have to worry about coming in without reservation as long as I have a party of 4 or less they usually have space. The servers are friendly and atmosphere is perfect Everytime for a casual dining experience. Definitely one of my top 5 casual restaurants in the northern Mass/southern NH area. Highly recommend.

Not the most attractive decor (dated) but great food.

The food was awesome! Even though it's expensive, it is super worth it. Our chef was also very fun and skilled! 100% give this place a try!

The entire experience was awesome from the moment i walked into this establishment with my mom, sisters, and niece. The staff were friendly, our chef was entertaining, professional, and kind. Food was served fresh and hot. The meal remained warm throughout our dining time. I would highly recommend this steak house for any first-time visits to a Japanese steakhouse as well as first time tourists, looking for a great place to eat. It is a little pricey. Expect to pay 20 to 41 per person. The quality of food is well worth the price. The portions are generous, and you'll leave there with a full belly and maybe some leftovers. There are a couple of extra little surprises for birthdays. I will let you discover that for yourselves. Happy dining, everyone. It was worth the 5 star rating.

Went here for a birthday dinner and it was pretty cool that they put happy birthday messages on the electronic sign outside! The food was tasty, but I wished the hibachi show had more tricks. The service was super quick, which would've been great except they made us feel rushed by setting up plates right where we were sitting after a while. To be fair, we were chatting sometime after paying the check. The ceiling filters and ceilings could use a bit of a clean-up or replacing because they were quite beat up.

Always great celebrating a birthday at Takumi

Very little fish in my roll and avocado was brown. 3 sushi she's behind the bar on their phones. Bummer.

It is a good place to share with the family, the chef is very very good.

This is the best place for sushi in the area. We order the chef's choice option. Give them a budget and they'll put together sushi and sashimi to suit. The hibachi is good as well. Pretty much what you would expect. A fun meal out for the family. Update: Five years later, the sushi is still high quality. We moved to New Mexico last summer and made it a point to come back here when we were visiting. Service was really good as well.

We had a great lunch at Takumi. They are fantastic at accommodating large groups. We celebrated birthdays for my husband and my 30th/40th. They had our names on the digital sign and even printed a group photo for us. Highly recommend!

Just WOW! Its a beautiful space. The Koi pond at the entrance could be spruced up a little and wires and pips hidden. But everything else was just great. Service was amazing, friendly, able to joke with you. Very good. Food was good. I would expect better maki at a place like this, but it was still good. I would highly recommend.

Food: Hibachi experience overall is good. Everything tasted delicious, and they served a little ice cream in the end. They don't offer noodles instead of rice without you having to pay for a whole noodle appetizer. And they upcharge for fried rice. Service: Our server for drinks and everything outside the person who cooked in front of us was excellent. The person who did the Hibachi experience was definitely someone who needs a break from it. His heart or head were not in it. Atmosphere: The Hibachi tables are nice. Decor overall is good. The bathrooms need some serious scrubbing ( wash the stall doors and put in some deodorizer, please!) Also, in the bar, there is a room in the back very visible when you walk in that looks like storage, boxes and chairs etc. There's a pool table back there and it's a good size space... could move all that storage stuff more in the back and open up that space and make bar seem less cluttered and closet like.

Delicious food. We went for two birthdays and their names were displayed on the sign outside for our arrival. They also took a picture of our party and printed it out for us. Very kind!

Went for dinner tonight. Ordered the Scorpion bowl for two, spicy edame, mid-level Omakase option, and two makis. Scorpion bowl was good, with a nice balance of flavors. The spicy edame had a nice taste and the spice wasn't overpowering. The sushi chef made an excellent selection for our Omakase. However, the service was subpar. We ordered two Omakase, and was originally brought one. We made the server aware and they rectified this. But, then we didn't see them until we had finished our meal. We were interested in having more drinks, and had been empty for about 15 minutes. Even though I enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and presentation, I don't think I will be returning.

Food is awesome as is the service

I was served bad sushi here. It did not taste fresh. Had to rush stop on the way home twice to use restrooms within minutes of leaving this restaurant.. I will not be back.

I went here a few years ago and gave them a 3. I just went again, and now giving them a 1. The place looks nice though and they have a cool fish pond. -------------------- I recommend below. Food was good but.... the soup should have mushrooms in it every hibachi place I've even been too has then I was disappointed in that aspect

The service was absolutely delightful, the food was outstanding (very good ramen as well as sushi), and the setting it upbeat while still very relaxing. This is the place to go to feel like your money is well spent. Perfect way to reset for a good week. Thank you!

I don’t dine out often. This is the nicest dining experience we’ve had in Nashua. My daughter loves Sushi and to me it appears fresh, clean and well prepared. She loved it. I had the chicken katsu which was delicious and huge. Going back for sure. The koi pond is cute.

The place was very busy, we decided to sit in the non hibachi area so we could eat faster from the kitchen. We were told hibachi station was a long wait l, so we got seated in the other side and ordered a scorpion bowl for 2. The food was great! We had for an entrée shrimp teriyaki and chicken tempera that comes with rice, soup, and salad. Service was great. The only thing was she forgot my sushi roll, which she excused herself and ordered it after my food came. I honestly forgot myself and told her to forget about it. Honest mistake, but it was very busy, and she was the only server in her section, serving 7 tables. They are hiring, so I understand. Service was still great 👍 Also, they have this nice pond in the front with fish, the host or Manger gave me food to feed the fish very nice. I'm definitely going back. Overall, it was a great date night!

We have been coming to Takumi for at least 20 years for our Japanese sushi and sashimi. This is by far, the best Japanese restaurant in the area. We usually split a sushi/sashimi combo with the salad and or soup. It is very filling and we barely finish it all. Fish is always fresh and delectable. The rolls are amazing! We bring the family to the Hibachi Grille on occasion and they love it!! That’s a lot of fun!!!! It’s a very relaxed and fun place! It’s also fun to just order sashimi appetizers. I like the seaweed salad and tempura. Take it from me, everything at Takumi is Outstanding! Delicious! and oh so fresh! The Bar is a nice place to visit any time day or night. Order your favorite beverage or try the japanese sake - hot or cold with a bite!

My recent visit to this restaurant was far from my expectations. The service was exceptionally poor, and the lack of cleanliness was truly disappointing. Pouring water and using cleaning liquids in front of customers, created an uncomfortable dining atmosphere, leaving me with a sense of regret about the entire experience.

Food was just okay. Nothing special. What was really bad - smell of the kitchen and grease , food and etc which you can't get rid of even if you leave the place.

Been to their restaurant quite a few times and have had absolutely no complaints so far. The people who work there are pretty chill and the food is great.

Ramen to go was a complete ripoff. $14, it was cold, little pile of noodles, half of an egg, some tiny shreds of pork, worst ramen ever.

It was such a cute vibe, service was fast, and the food was delicious. Excellent for a date or family night out. We'll definitely be back

my absolute favorite sushi place. the service has always been wonderful and the food has always been exquisite The bartender pays attention to regulars and more than once he has made food suggestions to me based on what else I've ordered and he has never ONCE let me down, even today I tried something else new that was fabulous

Takumi is... okay. It tastes OK. The chicken katsu was a bit chewy. The sushi rolls were chewy as well. The lo mein was very mediocre. The drinks were not very good, either. Its not the worst ive had - but not the best. The bathrooms were disgusting and service is slow. This place has great reviews... but I just dont agree. Roll the dice if you want: But I dont recommend it.

First time I've been to a Hibachi place in a long while. The food was very good and the staff was very polite and prompt with the service. There were large groups and it seems like they were having a good time, so it definitely looks like a good place to have a party, my kid already said he wants to have his birthday party there lol. If you're in the mood for some Hibachi, I would certainly recommend this place. We will for sure be back!

Takumi has taken no such a nose dive in cleanliness and service. Went for lunch the other day and left immediately after being sat. The place smells like it’s never properly cleaned anymore and the cans of Lysol wipes sitting everywhere you look would suggest that they just wipe down certain surfaces as needed. The ceiling doesn’t have a single tile that isn’t brown form water damage, cracked or falling out. The way the hostess shoes stuck to the ground as she walked should have been red flag enough to tell me we shouldn’t have even sat down. We ordered a beer before determining that we wouldn’t stay, I wasn’t hungry anymore after seeing the caked on dust on all the dividers and the drink splattered walls, so we asked the server for the check for the beer because we changed our mind. Waited for about 15 minutes for that one check as she walked back and forth serval times helping the other tables, ended up leaving cash on the table and walking out without saying a word.

Takumi is hands down the best sushi and Japanese cuisine experience in Nashua. Big shout out to the bartender Bill, front of the house Moto, and the sushi chef Michael. Takumi's habichi is second to none. I will never stop going here if they keep up the quality experience I've been provided for the past 8 years.

Excellent food, fantastic Sushi but the Internet connection here is atrocious so plan around if you need a steady connection for work, kids etc. The interior is otherwise ok but could maybe do with more lights or decorations. Please modernize your establishment!

Hidden gem in Nashua. Not the best atmosphere but our son loves the little fish pool inside. We have been there for regular dining not for hibachi, but the shows look good for a third eye. Regular menu is delicious, service is quick (except for sesame balls for which our waitress warns us before hand that it takes a good 15 min to prepare to get our consent) Gets crowded for dinner after 7 but if you go before you would have served right away. Would go back, nice place out there.

Habachi was decent experience. Food was a little bland. Sushi was really good!

Everything tasted delicious and it was all prepared really quickly. My only complaint was the Wasabi wasn't very good, like it was very weak and more like horseradish but bitter. Not necessarily something the restaurant can control but it's the only thing I could even try to complain about.

Food has always been excellent here. Service is pretty good . Im just disappointed that they no longer have the buffet. Used to drive here once a month from Keene to eat here .

I called this past Monday for reservation for my daughter for Friday. They called Friday to confirm all of the details, we showed up and they had put happy birthday and her name on the neon sign out front. Very cool experience out hibachi chef was great very funny and made our food perfect. They held our cake in their fridge and also added candles to it and I didn't even ask. They brought out plates to serve as well. They are very accommodating and our visit was amazing. The front desk people are absolutely amazing very genuine and nice people. We will definitely be back for sure!

I enjoyed the food here. My first time I went to lunch and got the pork katsu and it was delicious and blew my mind away that it was fairly cheap for the amount that they give. The second time I went for dinner. I couldn't wait to have the pork katsu again but it's not on the dinner menu! Omg!! What is a girl to do???! 😂 I simply asked if it was a lunch item only (which it is according to the waitress) but without hesitation, she said she would check to see if they could make it for me for dinner. I was beyond excited. So I got pork katsu and it was the same size as the lunch portion (which is huge so no complaints) but the price was higher. No big deal bc they did it without thinking twice about it and also before I even thought to ask about it. We also had sushi. Sushi was good. I never had red snapper sushi and it was good but nothing special. I think that's more on the fish than the restaurant. The spicy tuna maki was good. They also bring you miso soup and salad. It ends up being a lot of food. There definitely will be leftovers. We got the scorpion bowl for two which was again... Huge. It was hard to finish bc of the size. 😆 Maybe I'm a whimp but it's good if one of you is a drinker. Overall, I think you get your best bang for your buck by coming during lunch. It gets a little pricer for dinner but why pay more when you can have it all for lunch. 🤷‍♀️ Side note... When we were there for dinner, they sang happy birthday 5 times in the hibachi area. Must be a good spot to celebrate your birthday.

Fabulous Japanese sushi& hibachi spot! Takumi has it all- excellent parking, space, atmosphere, staff, service and of course the food! A full sushi menu and great drink options. Every part of the hibachi menu from the miso soup to the salad to the entrée packed with flavor! The house sake is delicious. The service is fast & friendly. Prices are reasonable. Our hibachi chef didn’t really do the whole “show” but he was still good and the kiddos loved his humor. We’ve been many times and each chef definitely has their own style/ some showboating more than others. Highly recommend!

The service here was great, everyone was so nice and attentive. The chef was hilarious and it was a good time. I got the vegetable dinner with tofu and it was delightful.

I've always been so happy with the hibachi I forget they have sushi too. My favorites are the miso soup, whatever the dressing they put on the salad is, the chicken and steak hibachi, and scorpion bowl for two!

They waitress very dismissive of me and ignored me. She even gave me dirty looks while I was asking questions. I went to go talk to the manager about being ignored and then he ignored me while he was on the phone. He dressed up like he was a professional here, suit and all, but then he didn’t actually act like a professional. Horrible experience, won’t be back. Shame because the food wasn’t bad. However, something does feel slightly shady or off about this place. We used to come for group events but we won’t be coming anymore. That’s like $700-1000 in lost money for them from us alone.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! I called on an early Sunday afternoon, for a last minute reservation for a surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law && my step daughter && they were extremely accommodating, put "Happy birthday to her && my step daughter's names on their big electric sign outfront. I brought in my own two cakes && candles && they put them in the fridge for me && brought them out after our delicious dinner!! We sat at the hibachi table, && we got amazing service right from the minute we stepped into the restaurant, from the kind professional gentlemen dressed very nicely at the front door, to the hibachi cook who was very friendly && nice, to both our waitresses that did an amazing job with our drinks && food!! I definitely recommend this place && can't wait to go back there again. Thank you to everyone here for everything!! 😁😁😁

I go in here anytime I want Hibachi closer to home. I understand places things get done at a certain time but I showed up at 8:30 for a take out order when the place closes at 9. Not 8:50 and not 8:40. I was refused and it just doesn’t make any sense to me. I wasn’t asking to sit or stay later but for take out. This is one of many reasons why I prefer to go to Hibachi places in Mass.

We recently came here for the first time after living in the area for many years. Takumi was a standard dinner event at a Hibachi restaurant. We did ask to sit at a regular table and that can speed up your seating, if you are doing the Hibachi you should probably make reservations. The pan seared dumpling app was pretty good, the best thing I personally ate that night. Our group also had the teriyaki chicken, tempura vegetable and chicken and the spicy miso soup. The spicy miso soup was the top winning dinner meals that we had. The service was friendly, but a bit slow out of the gate, however once we were identified the service was attentive. I think overall it was a fair evening, nothing out of the park, but good enough that I would go back if friends wanted to go.

By far the most disappointing sushi I’ve tried. I’ve been to several places between MA and NH at least 9 and this was on the do not go back list. Normal spicy combo of salmon/tuna and a 3rd one. Nothing spicy about it and just lacked flavor. Area where I was seated was dirty like they didn’t clean up before sitting us down.

Had high hopes for this place but sure was disappointed! Place was nasty as you can see from my photos! Market Basket sushi has more flavor. Definitely will NOT be returning!

This is a great place to eat. You sit at the grill and the chef puts on a show. Reasonably priced and great food. The people are very friendly.

It is my sons 12th Birthday, and we had dinner here tonight. Let me just say, it was wonderful from start to finish. The hostess was kind, the waitstaff was exceptional, the chef blew us away. The food was absolutely delicious. It was such a fun night, through and through. My son had such a wonderful Birthday thanks to everyone who made him feel so special! We will definitely be back, my other son, the picky eater inhaled his dinner. He just had seconds when we got home! 10 out of 10!!!! Thank you to this wonderful staff!

Went here for habachi. The first time we tried the habachi food, it was not of good quality, meat definitely tasted old or stale. Thought maybe it was just an off day, so gave them a second chance and it was the same poor quality. For the prices they are charging for habachi, you'd think they would use better quality, or at least keep the meats and seafood fresher.

Great food selection, excellent sushi and drinks, only downside was hibachi requires reservations and you can't offer it at a regular table at most places you are forced to sit for the presentation if a table is available.
