Fantastic tacos. I had rte Al Pastor and Carnitas and couldn’t stop thinking about them all day. So good!

I ordered the Al Pastor tacos with a side of beans and rice! The pastor was very delicious and tasted freshly cooked. Not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. The red and green chile were also delicious but were packaged in a little plastic baggie that was hard to open. Overall a very no-frills you get what you pay for type establishment. Cash only. You need to park at a gas station across the street since the road to the restaurant is blocked off by construction.

My burrito was dry as heck. Both burritos were not wrapped right and fell apart as we tried to eat them. Sticky tables, everything needed a good scrub down. Flies everywhere. Horchata was good but that was about it. Wish we would have gone somewhere else :(

Updated review took my stars back cause prices are not as the menu says no more &2.50 now instead of $1.50!!!!! 😪 tacos are soggy and meat falls out tables inside are crusty and sticky $2.50 each taco 🌮 they need to update menu asap I won't be back

Today 07/28/24 at 5 in the afternoon I went to eat at this restaurant, I bought 6 tacos and two gorditas. After we received the order, we opened one of the bags of tacos and one gordita was a hair loss in an order of tacos and in the chubby girl after bringing the food so that the employees could see what happened if they were replaced but when she wanted to talk to an owner the employees were very rude, especially the cook who spoke very badly when we started to tell her what happened and she told us that “that's what happens” as if that always happens to them that hygienic at all Well for our part and other family members we will not return to this restaurant, thank you.

The chubby girls are good, but thin for the price they have now, each chubby girl is already very expensive!!!!!! They already cost $6.50!!!!

Love the food soo much just wish they answered there phone more I have to call about 5 times makes me little sad but food is absolutely worth it 👌 ☺️ ❤️

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food not new Mexican food this is the spot 👌 everything is maid to order I've been eating here since I was a small child and now I can enjoy bringing my children her to enjoy the same food I did when I was younger the tacos here are absolutely delicious carne asada and al pastor are my favorite and definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to enjoy real Mexican tacos las gorrditas are always hot and fresh hand maid maza everything is maid fresh daily las aguas frescas are supper delicious and everything at a fair price definitely a 9/10 highly recommended!!!!

My family and I have been coming here since I was about 5 years old. They have some of the best flour gorditas out here. Our go to meal has always been the Gorditas de harina con frijoles y queso con agua de melón. It gives me so much nostalgia every time I eat here. Definitely an o.g. Location. The tacos & burritos are amazing as well. If your in town you definitely need to eat here :)

It's a unique location with authentic food and to match the location. If you are looking for classic mexico tacos this is the place.

The best tacos I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot of tacos. Don’t expect anything fancy (tacos with only onion and cilantro wrapped in foil with lime on the side and salsas in plastic bags), the tacos speak for themselves. I tried the tacos al pastor, barbacoa, and lengua with an agua fresca de piña. The al pastor was well marinated and perfectly cooked, and I could tell it was cooked with an open flame. The barbacoa and lengua were the juiciest and most tender I’ve ever eaten. The tortillas tasted hand made, and the salsas had the right balance of flavor and heat. The agua de piña was obviously made with fresh pineapple and had some pulp in it. Prices are very modest as well, $2.50 per tacos including tax.

I used to go this place because the price was fairly cheap for okay food. I just went and it’s now way over priced and the food has gone down in quality. I would go once in a while now I think I’ll stay away from this place for good .

My go-to exclusively for quesadillas and tacos in Abq. Especially for the asada and pastor, they are doing it right. The red salsa and avocado salsa are usually my picks. The ladies in the front taking orders are so nice, and work really hard. Hate to see all the construction in their neighborhood but I hope that doesn’t deter people from stopping by!

I actually came here to eat. I was expecting more flavor and fresh food . I ordered lengua tacos with onion and cilantro on a scale 1-10 they were a 7 , and I ordered Asada tacos with onion and cilantro on a scale 1-10 they were a 5 I feel the meat was over cook not fresh, and last I order 1 barbacoa gordita that was fresh on a scale 1-10 it was a 9 . I think the best dish to go with is gorditas tacos. They are not too good, but they help if you are hungry, lol

The city sucks but the food’s great. I got a barbacoa torta - amazing as is, didn’t need any extra salt or anything. Love how unique the inside of the restaurant feels. Me and my wife spent $16 and got filling food for the both of us and a drink to share. Good bang for your buck and the employees were very welcoming.

Service was good. The atmosphere was also good. Unfortunately the food could be better. The Torta I got was mainly fat and not something edibles at all. The aguas frescas were amazing. You could taste that it was real fruit in them.

The tacos are just what we were looking for. I ordered two lingua and one carne asada. My companion ordered four carne asada and a barbacoa. The guy before us ordered three carne asada. He appeared to be Hispanic, I do not. When asked what kind of salsa he wanted, he asked if he could get a one of each and she said sure. My response was the same when it was my turn, she said I was limited to one salsa per order even though there were 8 tacos ordered. She wouldn't budge. I regret tipping when I paid. Best tacos I've had in New Mexico, but not worth the racism.

I like it a lot because it is delicious to eat. The roast beef fatties are my favorites. And also very economical

The food was ok. Good value for the money and the lady that took our order was very nice. One concern is that there was no hand soap in the restroom.

Food and Service were phenomenal! The front desk lady was really nice, and I personally loved everything I got. Steak Gordita really slapped Rating it 3 stars because I have concerns about hygiene after seeing that there was no soap in the restroom, and the drink was handled to us without gloves right after taking our cash.

Excellent food, authentic Mexican, from gorditas to burritos they have almost everything even seafood, the only bad thing so far 2/2024 there is construction in front of the taqueria which makes it a little difficult for people to see it thinking that they are not there.

The quality of the food, the customer service, and the worst of all is that they continue to increase their prices ridiculously because now they even charge .50 for a very small bag if you like more sauce... they almost charge you For the smile when charging you for food that no longer tastes good... DON'T spend your money or your time going and try a restaurant with new Mexican food They've been in business for so many years to just continue accepting cash has something suspicious about it, you ask me. TWO THUMBS DOWN 👎 👎

ONLY CASH LOL.. don’t ask for anything extra only if you have extra money. Al pasar de los años este lugar ha ido empeorando poco a poco, espero que no desaparezca en el futuro porque en realidad me gustaba pero si siguen así estoy seguro que los clientes dejarán de ir poco a poco.. Creo que el dueño estaba perdiendo mucho dinero cada vez que la gente le preguntaba por limones que ya empezó a cobrarlos.

I came to Paisas in February, and the food was cold and greasy. But ive been coming to this establishment t since the early 2000s. I figured they were having an off day! I was right. They were on top of their game. Tacos were hot and flavorful. Salsa was also 🔥.

Probably the best homestyle Mexican food in town. It reminds me of my late grandmother's cooking! Thr only negative I truly have is the location/size could be better, but the food, prices, and customer service make up for it 10 times over. I wish they add superfries to their menu! Because their Carne Adada is 10/10

Cash only but wow. Good food...filling...Hot sauces were exactly that...hot and flavorful. Steady flow of folks which is always a good sign.

Al pastor tacos were awesome! Carne asada quesadilla meat was not good. Cob webs hanging from ceiling. Limes were dried out. 3 Salsas were okay. 25 minutes to make food.

This was one of my fave spots for asada tacos but they've changed. The flavor is not the same and we got big pieces of fat or nerve in our tacos. They should cut it up better. I didn't get any pics and I usually don't post without them, but it's doubtful I'll be back because this is already one of many not so-good serving of our fave tacos!

Amazing place. Service was super friendly and funny too. Plus the price is insane- $1.50 per taco plus around $4-5 for a burrito, and you gotta get a Horchata on the side. Had a barbacoa, chicken, and al pastor taco as well as tried some of my friend's pork gordita. Everything was SO GOOD but I gotta say my favorite was the al pastor with the crispy bits of meat in it. Will definitely be back multiple times during my short stay in ABQ.

Best Mexican food in town. Everything is the delicious, and even on a busy day the wait is not that long. The staff is super nice and helpful. They only take cash, but it's absolutely worth a trip to the ATM to get the best tacos in town.

PROS: the food is on point, it was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The prices are reasonable. There’s plenty of parking. The service was great. It’s a no-frills Mexican joint and all the people there were Mexican so that’s a good sign. CONS: cash only, hard to access the parking lot in part due to roadwork, the bathroom was out of order.

I went to check it out because it was recommended by a coworker I found the tacos bland and the meat chewy the sauce they gave you was just hot no real flavor. It was very disappointing 😔

It's really an experience to visit this restaurant. It made me feel like I was in Mexico. They have this old car inside the restaurant. I believe it's a Ford model T.

Honestly one of the best places for Mexican in Albuquerque. Gave a 4 star because they let the phone ring and ring. We usually go in person and hear the phone ring when we are there and notice they don’t answer. Tried calling (we live on Westside) and sure enough the phone rang and rang. Can’t imagine being from out of town or someone who has never been there before, calling, and not ordering from there because they didn’t answer the phone. Those people end up going to Taco Cabana or Twisters or something else and miss out on some quality food. The workers are usually very kind in person.

These were the best tacos I’ve ever had stateside. I’m in NM for a week, I will be back.. highly recommend and bring cash because they don’t take cards. And the prices are perfection. I got 4 tacos, chips and salsa and soda for $12

This place is extremely generous with their meat portions and the food is excellent. Totally worth the hype.
