I heard so many good things about this place but was not very impressed. The place was crowded and service was very slow. Lunch time it gets extremely crowded get there early or get there after lunch hour.

Toronto's has the best shrimp Po-Boys anywhere on the coast. The service is great. No long waiting times for the food it's fast.

Gave it 2 stars because the woman was very sweet, but the food actually made me sick. Over fried, the crab poBoy was just gross. I usually don’t leave reviews, especially bad ones, and I love supporting local businesses but this was crazy.

Casual dining. Fresh seafood. Friendly staff. Had the seafood gumbo and the catfish on a bun tonight. Also had the roast beef po boy the other day. Catfish is lightly breaded. Gumbo is perfectly seasoned. And their toasted bread is delicious!

Bit off of the highway but SO worth the side trip. Crab Po-boy was money, gumbo was excellent, n hush puppies were just right. But the service was fab. They really work as team and it is appreciated!

Went a few days ago had the Crawfish they were disappointing smalls/deads. Fried oysters were good, Royal Reds were overcooked. I'll go back but it'll be awhile

I had the Boiled shrimp over cooked couldn't peel, Wife roast beef po boy she said it was bland, the cup of Gumbo was ok. But not good enough to go out of my way to try again, we always search out the hole in the wall family places but we will pass this by next trip

Nice local spot. It has an old school charm of a local spot off the tourist trial. Worth the visit. Service was friendly and efficient. We had the crawfish, shrimp Poboy and gumbo on our visit. The poboy was a good as they get. Great French bread, generous amount of fried shrimp. The gumbo was good - not as rich as I like but good. The crawfish were disappointing- given the bad crawfish season we’ve had I’ll give them a little break, but too many had very hard shells and were too hard on the fingers just getting to the tail meat. Almost needed a mallet to crack the shells - they were seasoned nicely. I plan to return to try other items and would recommend.

We drove 20 miles last evening to eat their crawfish because someone told us they were the best around. When we arrived, the hostess told us it was a 30 minute wait, which was no issue. She then proceeded to tell us they wouldn’t have any crawfish by the time we were seated. We left and have no intention of returning. If they’re going to sell crawfish, then there should be enough for ALL customers.

We were on a road trip to New Orleans and were looking for a good spot to stop for lunch. Based on the reviews, and our affinity for local, small town restaurants, we decided to go to Taranto’s. The Wednesday specials included a shrimp poboy, gumbo, and drink. Three of us ordered that special and I ordered the boiled platter with shrimp, potatoes, and corn on the cob. The servings were generous, service friendly and attentive, and atmosphere was just what we were hoping for. Everyone was happy. Authentic Gulf Coast deliciousness!! Thank you, Taranto’s!

Consistenly good, a bit out of the way but worth finding. Great for seafood, po-boys, etc.. went at 3:30 thinking after lunch but before dinner but it was still packed. Plan on a wait on the weekend.

Never got food cause they do NOT do takeout as it states… 30minute drive through the children of the corn to not even try their crawfish.

The place is little and in the middle of woolmarket but so worth the drive and wait. You will not be disappointed by the food or the service.

Was one of my favorite places to eat, until they habitually overcharge your ticket for something you didn’t receive. It seems a little sketchy to me. Their “system” is unable to correct it, such a shame a business has to do this.

Started with the Buffalo Shrimp which was delicious! Then I had the crawfish platter....some of the most flavorful crawfish I have eaten. Will definitely be back.

I ordered the 6” Ribeye Po Boy. It was fantastic. The ribeye was cooked to order and I had the potato salad as a side which had a spicy seasoning that was delicious.

This hole in the wall seafood shack is awesome. Our server, Cassie along with the other staff provided excellent service. Although they were out of crawfish the shrimp poorboy along with shrimp and crawfish bisque was on point as was the catfish with fries. Food was hot and delicious and was served to us surprisingly fast. Awesome place🎊

Rode over to try this for lunch as I saw that they have received good reviews. Arrived a little early and noticed people already lining up at the front door, thought this is a good sign. The doors opened at 11 a.m. and about 15 minutes later the place was packed. I ordered the lunch special which was a roast beef poboy with fries and a drink for $11.99. Nice price. The food was good as the poboy was on real French bread and was pressed. It was loaded with Mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickles as should be. This place really shines with the service. Our drinks were never empty as every waitress who passed by seemed to check on us. Overall it was a great lunch experience and I’m looking forward to trying other menu options.

Crawfish and royal reds were on point

Food was well seasoned, steak tender, now presentation not the best but food was great. The waitress wasn't the friendliest but outside of that everything else was good.

Catfish had bones, for a restaurant you should make sure there aren't any. It is fillet, I would think you would make sure your food is high quality. I let the manager know that because my child had the Catfish and thank goodness she didn't choke. The manager says oh well it happens. I say unacceptable and not cool and will not be back!!!

Came here tonight with my family and we were all very unimpressed with the crawfish. Id like to say first of all that the service was wonderful and our waitress was a sweetheart and we don’t blame her at all, she was polite and brought out our drinks and food very quickly! We’ve been coming here for years but tonight was rough and not worth the money at all. The crawfish had minimal flavor and most in my basket were crushed and falling apart, I even had some that had such a rotten, nasty taste that I had to spit them out in a napkin. Could be just a rough night I suppose, but I can’t see us coming back any time soon.

My mom and I came here over the weekend. We live in Michigan and don’t have crawfish ( at least that you can eat lol) and wanted to try this place out. I’m so happy we did! Right when we walked through the door, we were greeted with warm welcome smiles and sat down right away. I had the 2# crawfish platter that was AMAZING and my mom had a steak po-boy that she raved about. I read reviews prior to coming and I now understand why everyone loves it. I will definitely come back next time I’m ever in Biloxi and highly recommend everyone to try it out. Thank you for the great service and food.

Tarantos used to be my obsession favorite.. now, every time I go they’re out of the most common items. No bacon for my burger one week, then exactly the next week when I went back, no cheese for my chicken sandwich. Disappointing. After 2 weeks straight, I'm taking a break for a while. Also, the portion sizes seem smaller.

$18 for a mayo lettuce and tomato poboy. Was supposed to be a shrimp poboy. Couldn't even taste shrimp for bread. Could taste the mayo though. $6 for a single order onion rings. Nasty. BK has better onion rings. Fries were ok heck they were only $3 - go figure.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Florida and got there a little after 11. Good thing as this old time diner filled up quickly. I had the oyster po boy and my wife the crawfish po boy. Both were good but I would have liked less breading and more oysters taste than what I got. The crawfish po boy was very good with plenty of crawfish. The only downside was the bun for the sandwich. We enjoyed our little detour for lunch and would go back again.

I have heard good things about Taranto's Crawfish. I tried the Thursday Special, pulled pork on a bun. The bun was a little burnt but the pulled pork was pretty good. I liked the way they make their French Fries. Good Service. Saw a couple of the customers eating their Crawfish, by the looks of them they were pretty good.

Not an easy place to get into they're always pretty busy but that's because the food is so like seafood this is the place to go

Disappointing. We have been here a few times when traveling through; this time was not very good. Seafood gumbo was mainly sausage and barely warm. Shrimp po-boy was not freshly cooked.

Eaten at a lot of places in Biloxi when the wife and I come down to gamble this is easily the best food! It’s a little off the beaten path but is usually packed with locals. The portions are massive for the price. Highly highly recommend the side of fried crawfish for 5.99 you get an entire plate of it with garlic bread.

Really loved the bisque. All the food came out quickly, was well seasoned and hot! Seafood Platter was more than my wife and I could eat for lunch. Had the leftovers for dinner! Great value.

This is what the coasts of the Deep South are all about. Fresh seafood, well cooked, tasty, and delivered by the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. All at excellent prices. If you like seafood and are in the area, you can't miss this little treasure of a restaurant.

Wow! This place is delicious. A little off the beaten path but so worth it. It was packed at 130 and after trying the food you know why. Besides the delicious food, the service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly. I had the gumbo and it was delicious. I also had the local caught fried shrimp. The seasoning was delicious. They were crunchy and they already had the tails removed, so I got to enjoy every bite. I ended up having the potato salad and it was creamy and seasoned perfectly. Definitely a must try.

Awesome service with smiles delicious seafood- oysters- catfish and shrimp crawfish bisque with fluffy soft lightly toasted French bread!!! Much better than all the “ fancy” seafood places we normally eat at!!!! Will be on our regular visit list for sure!!!

We read a review in Costal Magazine about Taranto's and decided to give it a visit. It was a best decision. The place it off the charts. First clue was as we arrived at 11:30 am the parking lot was almost full. We were met at the door by a very happy and friendly server and escorted to our table. A few minutes later we had menus and very knowledgeable server to help us select our lunch items. I choose the combo plater of catfish and shrimp and my friends selected the seafood plater. Both were unbelievable fresh and extremely tasty. We tried sample and we both agree this was the best fried fish we have ever had. Hands down. I encourage you to take the trip and visit Taranto's. You won't regret it.

Service was 10/10. Shrimp Po Boy lacked flavor as I felt it was too much bread and shrimp was cooked perfectly but lacked taste. Had to add tartar sauce to make it not so dry. No side with my meal. Will try again at another time.

The service here is great. Every server will attend to your needs. I had the shrimp basket and opted for potatoe salad not French fries. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the potatoe salad only needed salt. The swamp fries were recommended and we tried those but will not have them again simply because the bisque makes them.soggy and that is just a preference. Have been back already!

The quintessential Mississippi Gulf shore restaurant. Taranto’s has the food and atmosphere to back up its high rating. I might have to make a separate vacation to stop again.

When we pass thru this area, you can bet we are going to stop. Ordered an appetizer of KT shrimp, it was amazing. The bread they gave with it was so good. We ordered the Fish Basket and Oyster Basket. Ate every bite. First time for the catfish it was very good. If you like your oysters fried very crispy then you will be happy. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Will pass thru again soon.
