It's a small, clean place with simple average food. Has a buffet that you are charged $8.99/lb. If you want any meat other than the 2 or3 or so, on the buffet such as a very thin sirloin steak, it's an extra charge. I ordered a medium rare steak (thickest available) and was served a medium to medium well steak about 1/2" thick. It was pretty bland other than the garlic seared on it. Came with almost sauteed onions on top. The watermelon was very salty, potato salad had a fair amount of mixed vegetables, was not a fan. Bottom line- no, I don't have plans to return.

Taste of Brazil is my go to place for a quick but great lunch. The food is delicious with homemade flavor. The buffet offers a variety of options and is constantly freshen up so you don’t end up eating old food that has been out for hours. The service is also great, this is a family business so the owner and his family are always there to greet you and help you out anyway they can. And the best part of this place is its cleanliness, they take care of everything. You can’t go wrong with Taste of Brazil

Everything is just so good. Favorite spot in Norwalk! If you can, get a Pastel with frango and palmito. Just delicious!

If you don't eat too much, this is the place to go if you do not want to waste your money. It is a buffet style resto with different and healthy choices. Very recommended!

Great food , with a taste of Brazil

As a fan of Brazilian food, l took a chance at this restaurant. What a disappointment! First, the meat wasn't cut as needed.The different types of buffet meats( beef and chicken lacked any taste). The beans were store brought, rice and pasta were bland. Lastly, the dessert ( 3 milks) were too creamy. Overall a bad experience, please learn from our mistake.

Um lugar tranquilo com comida gostosa, o dono Nilton é mineiro e reflete no serviço e na comida :). O buffet tem bastante variedade com muitas opções de carne e a feijoada é fantástico. Preço por libra está $6.99. A mandioca e as coxinhas são feitas na hora e bem gostosas. Em resumo, exatamente que eu precisava para matar minha saudade de Minas e do Brasil.

to update this comment to a year later now Feb. 2019 - outstanding beef stew, really excellent. Really outstanding. very very nice chicken stew as well. I would consider trying a new brand of rice however - I do not think the rice is undercooked, I think it may be a slightly too robust type of rice, would be worth experimenting on a new kind. Also - maybe a little more garlic in the rice would be nice. excellent buffet / cafe restaurant. beef brisket outstanding, very nice chicken dishes, nice garlic rice,good sausage, nice flan - overall excellent !

Honest and legit Brazilian food

Really good home cooked Brazilian food. The chicken, the beef were great and the black beans were outstanding! Owners couldn't be better people. Definitely stop in if your hungry and in the neighborhood.

"The Ladies who Lunch!" (5 good friends LOL) picked this spot in November, and we had so much fun! The food was great, and they were so sweet to explain what we didn't know! We all had different items and we all enjoyed our lunch very much. The staff made us feel like we knew them forever. It's a great spot to grab the buffet lunch to go. Give it a try!

They know us personally. Me and my three year old daughter come here alot. We love how happy and friendly they are when we walk in the door. The food is always excellent with a great variety.

Tasty buffet style food at a solid price. They've got a good variety or authentic Brazilian dishes to choose from. The staff is also very friendly. The menu differs from online so keep that in mind, but worth a stop for a quick meal.

We ate from the buffet which was about $7 per pound of food--load up your plate and then pay and eat. It was fantastic! Small but lots of seating, buffet food is labeled and tastes great, lots of drink options, meat market in the back, and a display cabinet of great looking desserts. Meat fell off the bone and even the plain rice tasted awesome! Would definitely come back.

The place is like a cafe/restaurant with a decent salad bar (rice, some meats, veggies). The menu offers several choices of meat and combo. We had the plate for 2 which was definitely very filling and very good. I found prices ok and the ambiance very casual. I'll go back there.

Los precios eran razonables, en el rango de $15, y las porciones eran correctas. El servicio era amable y personal, ya que uno espera de estos pequeños, restaurantes de escaparate.

The pork they serve in the buffet is my favorite. If your looking to save some time, and grab a very good quick bite to eat, stop in during buffet hours. Other prepared menu items are excellent. Recently added a patio/some chairs outside which is great for a nice day.😎

Recientemente fui aquí para el almuerzo con mis compañeros y me sorprendió gratamente. Optamos para recoger algo fuera del menú normal ya que a ninguno de nosotros como bufetes, pero la comida era buena y había una gran selección. Todas las comidas eran muy buenas y los plátanos son deliciosas. Los empleados eran más allá de agradable y atento. La próxima vez probaremos la cena! Y espacio para el postre.

Había oído que éste era un buen restaurante de un amigo mío, así que nos fuimos a comer con otro amigo. Que no están familiarizados con la cocina brasileña, así que preguntamos a la camarera por recomendaciones. Señaló varias cosas que dijo eran muy buenos. Una de sus recomendaciones fue un plato de carne combinación de carne, pollo, cerdo y salchichas para 2 personas. Por desgracia, no me escriba el nombre pero que estaba catalogado como barbacoa y cuesta $25.00. Lo que trajo fue varias piezas de carne que ha sido frito, no hecho en una parrilla. Fue recocido, secos, y muy difícil de cortar. He dicho a la camarera que no era de la barbacoa. Ella dijo que habían tomado el restaurante hace 3 meses pero no había cambiado el menú. He dicho que no debe ser catalogado como la barbacoa en el menú. Tal vez los propietarios anteriores tenían una mejor manera de preparar la comida, que es lo que estoy suponiendo que ya la camarera decía que no había cambiado el menú y las críticas dadas aquí son muy buenos.

Let's just say I went into a food coma here! Assorted meat plate (sirloin steak, sausages, chicken, pork steak) salmon dinner, some kind of chicken croquets, rice beans, beer, home made coconut dessert all for $50.00 combined for the 2 of us! Sauces were great as well. Not fancy but OMG!!

Secret gem! This restaurant offers a varied menu, but we always take food from the very clean and covered buffet. At $6.99 a pound, it is quite a bargain. The buffet offerings vary each time we go, but there are always several hot meats to choose from such as pork chops, pernil, fried chicken, chicken lasagna, stuffed shrimp, chicken masala, roasted chicken, beef, and tilapia. There are fresh cooked sides such as collard greens, brussel sprouts, yucca, plantains, rice. The fresh salads selection includes red beets, fresh argula salad, chickpea salad, cuke and tomato salad, olives,and lovely fresh strawberries, melon, pineapple.Good choice of soda and beer ( not included in buffet). It is totally casual, quick, healthy and our new go-to place when we don't want to cook!

I've been going to this restaurant for 5 years. Many locals return day after day to get a taste of home. They have a buffet, menu service, as well as a meat market. Plus, if you're on a budget or pressed for time it's a great place to get good food on the go!

We adopted this place as it is very close to our house. If you are looking for the original flavor of Brazilian food, this is the place to go. The place is extremely clean, and the food is served on a buffet, with enough varieties to choose from. Besides the restaurant they also sell different products from Brazil including a small meat market.

Taste of Brasil makes good home cooked food. I haven't been to brasil in a awhile and even though we eat it at home, it's nice to go out and have good brazilian food every once in a while. We ordered some food and also had self service buffet food. It was all fresh and good quality and the restaurant is very fairly priced and affordable for families. The owner was very nice and inviting. I would recommend this place to friends and will be returning once again with an empty stomach ready to chow down! Obrigado!

The food at Taste of Brasil is very good. It's definitely on par with some Ironbound restaurants. The menu isn't very extensive, but has a good variety. They also offer a buffet which looks/smells great, but at almost $7 a pound, could get to be a bit expensive since there are a lot of heavy-weight choices. The food choices and preparation has a homey feel, and makes you think you're eating from a real kitchen, not a standard commercial venture. There's beer and wine available, but limited choices, and nothing Brazilian. The atmosphere is a bit like a sandwich shop, very to go - although inside seating is available. It feels a bit like a college spot, although it's a bit far from most campuses. There's also parking (I think) at the small adjacent shopping center. Overall, the food itself was very good, but the restaurant itself was otherwise average.

I have to say, I've been to many brazilians restaurants, and this one in my opinion is the cleanest, the food is good and the service is friendly - people there I just nice. I ordered for a party some brazilians appetizers (coxinha de frango (chicken fritters) and some kibe (some kind of meat ball let's call that way) - and everything was delicious - just like the ones we find in Brazil in the finest catering places. The owner is always there at the cash register to help you. Best no doubt.
