The food is great. The service is fantastic. The only issues for me were that the restaurant was hot inside probably upper 70s 78 or so and there was no music or anything so it was too quiet. I could hear all the conversations around me. I do recommend though it's a great find.

The service is impeccable, they make sure you will like what you order before you get it and suggest things based on your tastes and it's SPOT ON!! We got the ginger beef and the sesame shrimp (not like sesame chicken, it's sweet and tastes almost like waffle cones) and they were amazing. Exactly what we were craving today. The cheese puffs we got as an appetizer and they were flaky and crisp but not greasy. So was the rice, it was light with lots of flavor without being heavy or greasy 10/10 recommend over any Chinese food in the area.

I have lived in the area all my life, and not once had i came here. Decided to try it put snd i was beyond impressed. Food was absolutely delicious and the owner was so sweet and kind. Lets support this small family business yall!

This is one of those untapped restaurants that you MUST come visit! It is bu far the BEST Asian food I've ever had!

This place is an off-the-beaten-path gem! We ordered takeout and will not order Chinese from anywhere else. When we picked up our order, the owner told us to try everything before we added additional sauces or soy sauce. And he was so right! The food was incredibly flavorful and perfectly balanced. We ordered the chicken fried rice and chicken with garlic sauce. The fried rice was amazing, probably the best I've ever had! The chicken with garlic sauce was sweet and spicy and extremely fresh tasting. And plenty for leftovers! We will recommend Taste of Nations to everyone looking for authentic Chinese! The owner is so friendly and really cares about his food and customers. We will be back!

Owner chef is delightful to talk to and loves what he does. Don't let the outside kinda hard to find spot fool you. It's worth pulling in. Ambiance inside is good as is the flavorful food

We eat here when we’re visiting family at Surfside Beach! The food is great & the service is excellent! Things were slow & the owner visited with us a lot! He is very funny and friendly! We’ll definitely be back!

While The building may not be much to look at, the food is exceptional. We had the General Tso's chicken. The best part, however, was speaking with the owner on the dishes that he's made and the history behind many of the dishes we take for granted in the United States. His goal is to produce traditional recipes based on the history of the food he serves. The sad part is this is a gem that is ignored based on location. Hopefully this review will help people to find it again.

So my friend decided he wanted me to try his favorite Chinese place and we ended up here last night. The outside is an interesting amalgamation of stuff....the inside is clean and bright and comfortable. The owner is incredibly funny, and attentive and the food is incredible. You cannot go wrong with having dinner here.

Me and my husband went there a couple of nights ago....food is amazing...Patrick the owner is amazing..I got a chicken and vegetable dish with noodles...while waiting on our food...Patrick comes out to our table to ask me if I would like white meat chicken or dark meat chicken in my dish....wow...who does that...Please go and experience not only the great food but Patrick himself you won't be disappointed

I don't have enough stars to give this place. We have moved into the area couple months ago and we always said it looks a little but shady from outside looking. However there are many people recommended this place so I have to try it. The FOOD is excellent. We have traveled to many states many different asian countries and this place absolutely one of the best restaurants we ever tried. We have a veggie dish and Mongolian beef. They are so fresh and so good. The RESTAURANT is so clean I mean like spotless clean and it's surprising us so much since it looks kinda old outside. The SERVICE IS AMAZING. They treat us like family and talk about some stories. I would absolutely recommended this place for everyone ever come by to town. It's an awesome place. Must try.

This is a special place with great Chinese food, great prices and some of the only authentic Chinese food n the area. The rice itself is so good and flavorful it could be a meal. The broth in the wonton soup is so flavorful I could make a meal of it. Love the special bean leaf he has on occasion. Many dishes are good and hard to pick favorites.

Excellent food and service, If you are looking for authentic Chinese food this is were its at. Great quality for a decent price. Nothing compared to a "mall Chinese buffet". Big thanks to our server for giving us some knowledge about the food. He has worked over 25 years for the restaurant his customer service was outstanding. Thanks so much! The best Chinese restaurant in Brazoria County by far! Being from San Francisco, I think I'm a good judge of Chinese cuisine. They actually have a very nice Asian gentleman who cooks there, not like Shanghai were the food is cooked by Hispanics. I highly recommend Taste of Nations! It may not be much to look at in the outside, but the food is very good!

Don't let the outside looks fool you. this place is a gem! Patrick is FANTASTIC and his costumer service skills are through the roof. Yes, I can sit here and talk about the outside and inside esthetics not being mind blowing. But Patrick keeps the place clean and the Food is Amazing! I mean, at the end of the day, that is what really matters, right? In my opinion, this is the best place to get Chinese food in the Clute/Lake Jackson area. Go give them a try!

Beautiful Restaurant with delicious food and a Hilarious Waiter.

Everything was excellent, I especially enjoyed the spring rolls. Nothing was drowning in sauce, the proteins were allowed to stand on their own and were delicious.

The owner is so personable and the food is excellent.

Very tasty. We usually do not eat much rice but their rice was flavorful and the best we have eaten. Spring rolls, beef & broccoli, and General TSO’s was good too. Server was friendly and never let our drinks get below half full. They also had extensive menu of more exotic side: squid, jelly fish, and more.

Pleasantly surprised by the authentic food here made with care by the very personable owners. Don't let the outside look of this restaurant deter you. The inside is very clean and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back for the food and very friendly atmosphere. Don't pass this place up !!!

Wow what a surprise! I looked passed this place a few times but the hubby wanted Chinese today so I got on Yelp and was convinced to try it. The outside is a little rough but the inside is clean and full of decor. The owner took care of us at lunch and he was so very nice and shared stories. He has recommendations and can surprise you! The food was excellent. We had Chicken in Garlic Sauce and General Tso's with Hot and Sour Soup. The flavor was great and portions were just right. This is not the typical Chinese place. The food was fresh and authentic.

👍🏼 There are 2 vegetarian options and a pescatarian option. I tried the fish (a specialty) and it was AMAZING. My work was paying for meals the two weeks they had me travel; I ate out 3 times a day at restaurants around Texas and Taste of Nations was top 3, probably #1! 👍🏼 The owner, Patrick I believe is his name, is a special person like an old soul or wise, observant man. We had a brief conversation but his words stuck with me one month later.

We had to try this restaurant because the reviews were so good. It is owned and run by a husband and wife who are the ones who do the cooking. Pat was so friendly and informative! We had the eggrolls, general tso chicken, and mongolian beef. The food was very authentic and delicious! We will definitely go back if we are ever in the area again! I truly want to try the lo mein next time!!

Went here today for lunch. I spoke with the owner as he served our food. I could tell he was was proud of his food when he suggested we taste it before we added any sauces. I’m glad I took his advice because the flavor was awesome. Overall a great place to eat!

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and the owner has never forgot me or my dad. It's been almost 20 years of me coming here and I'll never stop going. You arnt just a customer here you're family and you'll be able to tell that right away. The food is fantastic also, best general tsos in the county.

Had shrimp and vegetables off lunch menu. Was okay. Smaller portion than usually get elsewhere. Tasted fine. Shrimp were on the small side and probably not fresh. Was under 10 including tip. I will go back.

Taste of Nations has some of the best food i've ever had. If you want not just good food but an amazing dining experience in this area, treat yourself to this place. The staff is kind and helpful, and it is BEAUTIFUL inside creating an atmosphere like no other restaurant i've ever been to.

I discovered this place a few years ago (thanks to Yelp reviews) while in Galveston working the Lonestar Rally, and now I come back every time I'm in the area! The friendly owner is from Taiwan and the food is authentic and delicious! This time I had the spring rolls and the Swai fish. The spring rolls have more flavor than any I've had, and the sauce the fish comes with is so flavorful and delicious! I definitely recommend that you try this place out!

Great authentic homemade chinese food!!

we had dinner here last night. I was NOT disappointed!! We had the dim-sum for the appetizer, and i enjoyed the combo lo mien, and my s/o had the combo fried rice. We both had the iced tea. Patrick the waiter was wonderful!! I will definitely come back to this establishment.

This isn't just a meal, it's an experience! Our waiter was incredible and the food was absolutely perfect. Old school Chinese food! The dim sum are a must! The egg foo yung was the best I have ever had. Even the fried rice was impeccable. I will definitely return as often as possible!

The food is good but the portions are off. 4 pork buns for $8? Awesome, but they skim you on the filling. Its like 80% bread.
