Wonderful experience, a jewel with the best whiskey selection in La.

Had a few good nights here. Tried a few different drinks and ordered charcuterie. I would recommend this to anyone in the area.

I found this place and I come every chance I get! Food is exceptional, this is great, and the drinks are amazing! Do yourself a favor and make sure you visit this gem of Alexandria! You are sure to have a good time and feel nourished

Best place to get a drink or go on a date night in Alexandria, hands down.

Tasting Room to the rescue again! Went to another establishment that was much too loud for conversation. The nachos are shareably HUGE! And the Chandeleur Blueberry Crumble was a tasty replacement for the Riverboat Razz that was tapped out.

I look forward to Melissa’s excellent Tasting Room for an early nosh and a cocktail with friends or family. Such a convivial atmosphere together with food that is so delightful, I find myself returning to venture into the next delectable… then the next, and the next. SOOOOO delicious! Also, note, Melissa makes the Best champagne cocktail, so…. get one!

This is a gem and you MUST check it out! Melissa (the owner) is a level 4 sommelier (highest rating, only a handful across the world) and has brought her drink & food experience back with her. She has whiskey and whisky from places I didn’t even know knew how to make those. She curated the food menu too; loved the Empress Press with sweet potato kettle fries. Love the vibe inside. I just I came through Alexandria more often. Melissa hails from Alexandria and wants to improve her home. Love the desire. Give it a try!

Excellent food, excellent service, and a high quality selection of craft beer make this a must-do in Alexandria. They have an extensive bourbon and whiskey selection as well.

This was my first time here. The food was absolutely fabulous, and the taste always went to the next level. The staff were welcoming and took great care of us even to the point of escorting me to my car just for safety. It was fun to interact so well with folks. I can’t wait to go back and check out some of the other menu items, you know like the dark chocolate bacon cheesecake. I usually don’t like cheesecake, but I gotta try this. Congratulations you guys! I’m telling everybody that this is the place to go if you want really good cuisine.

I'm so glad they were serving. Everyone else downtown was not serving or reserved. Our waitress seemed rushed and could've been a little more knowledgeable. Great menu selection.

Incredible high quality food. I had this tomato basil soup, Comes with grilled cheese. Beautiful taste better then Ramsey’s. Good Merlot and Amazing atmosphere. Definitely wasn’t expecting to find a place like this here. Service was amazing. Thank you

One of the few nice pubs in the downtown area, so most often, you'll find a nice crowd and good atmosphere. Friendly bartenders have a nice selection of beers and liquor, and I heard they're specialized in cocktails.

Such a great place to unwind after work with a few coworkers. I’ve had a few food items on the menu and they are always delicious! The drinks are even better! You can’t beat the prices either! Go check them out!

This place has great bones but is very sad inside. Everyone seems like they are about to get on a bus to attend a funeral. The food tastes like it was microwaved, though the menu looks appetizing. The selection of beer and liquor is extensive and priced fair, but the service is extremely poor. The girls behind the bar don't seem to want to be here, and if you want to ask them a question about beer, wine, or spirits, you will be better off asking Google because they either don't know or don't care.

Hands down, the best cocktail menu and liquor selection of anywhere I've been in LA, AR, MS, and AL. And MOST REASONABLY PRICED. Food options are really nice too... Not your typical bar fare. Excellent selection of bourbon and scotch. Very friendly staff too. This place is a hidden gem in Alexandria, LA!

Great spot to grab drinks and a little bite to eat with friends. Drink selection is wonderful. Their versions of the melon and apple martini - delicious. Food was light and tasty. Price points are good. Celeste and Sara were both very welcoming and attentive. Overall - just - a great local spot with a good atmosphere.

Drinks, service and food were great but we were grossly overcharged for our drinks that the server said were supposed to be on special for Martini Tuesday. We were all very disappointed about the extreme overcharges that we encountered.

Great spot to grab great cocktails (or mocktails!) and dinner at a reasonable price. My wife is pregnant and she was super excited to see that they have a full drink menu with no alcohol so she can get something too! Their old fashion is simple and great for a reasonable price. Service was great too, the staff is super friendly! Can't wait to go back!

We were passing through and our hotel happened to be near. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had chicken and waffles with grits. All were tasty and filling. The space has a lot of charm with a lot of potential. Overall enjoyable and I would not hesitate to stop if we were in the area again.

Still awesome as always. The name and ownership may be different(sort of) but it's still the best place in Alexandria by far. Outstanding whiskey selection and great drinks all around. The addition of food options has been great too and only made the place even more of a standout. Awesome place and awesome staff!

I spent the last four nights here and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Tasting Room of Louisiana. The daily specials are fantastic and the regular menu is delicious as well. The bartenders (and the owner) are extremely knowledgeable about drinks and are also incredibly friendly. The building itself is gorgeous and well maintained; I can’t wait to make another trip back to Alexandria!

Nice little bar. Cozy atmosphere. Good, fairly priced whiskey. Delicious reuben sammich. Will definitely go there again when I'm in the Alexandria area.

This has become one of my favorite places to eat for lunch. The lunch menu is excellent;I've never had a meal I didn't love. Their dinner menu is good too, I just don't go out for dinner as often. Melissa the owner is a certified whiskey sommelier (one of the few in the state). So it is no surprise that she knows her craft. She is makes excellent recommendations every time I go in, and is regularly acquiring new bottles. I highly recommend stopping by and checking the place out. It's located downtown, and is across the street from both downtown hotels.

I would give more than 5 stars of it would let me. Best place ever on Alexandria!

This place is awesome. Love the atmosphere. Melissa and her staff are fabulous! A must visit if you ever come to alexandria.

My dinner date and I came to this unique spot on Sat. 2-19-22 around 9:30. There were 2 patrons at the bar and the other tables of occupants dining. I ordered the Tortellini Soup, and it was REALLY GOOD! I would like to come back to try the jambalaya and a few other items. I also ordered the salted caramel cheesecake. It came out with Original Zap's chips on top of it...with a few pretzels, too. The cheesecake was VERY smooth/creamy tasting and the caramel was great. My dinner date ordered the Charcuterie board. It was tasty!

Absolutely fantastic! This is my very favorite place to go for lunch and drinks 🍸 Melissa puts her expertise to use with her Smoked Old Fashioned. She literally smokes it in front of you!! The coolest experience and the most comfortable pub/bar/restaurant I know.
