One of the best places near Leadville to visit. We stayed at one of the sleep yurts for our daughters 12th birthday. The staff are always professional and make you feel so welcome. The yurts are awesome and have everything you need for a comfortable back country 'lite' experience. We ate breakfast at the Nordic Center and it was tasty! My daughter and her friends had an absolutely fantastic time. 5 stars to everyone at TPNC!!

This is a great Nordic ski area. The owner, Ty, is responsive to feedback from customers. We are season ticket holders and offered some constructive concerns with him today about the classic track. He responded thoughtfully. My wife and I now better understand the challenges of setting track everyday. We will be back next year for another season of great skiing.

Don’t rent the fat bikes. I was excited to try it out but the bikes are one size fits all (not ideal for us shorties) and poorly maintained. Staff had zero knowledge and had to dig for a helmet and bike pump. Who rents bikes but can’t find where their pump is?!? I went on some of the easiest trails and still had to walk up most hills because the bike just couldn’t handle it. On the flats the bike wouldn’t let me go more than 5-10mph as fast as I could pedal. I road bike and mountain bike in the mountains and have NEVER had difficulty getting up such small hills nor have I ever gone so slow on flat land. You rent a bike and it’s not going to be top notch but come on. I could have made it better with a single gear bike. The gears slipped and sometimes just stopped working. It just wasn’t fun and a huge waste of money ($25 to use the trail and $33 for an hour on the bike I spent mostly walking). Total rip off and horrible experience (which is really really hard to do being outside in such a gorgeous area)

We love this hometown nordic ski place. An experience you will never forget. The trails will give you a workout! They even have sledding for the little guys.

For me this is a great place to go snow biking (aka fat biking). The nordic center is really charming with outstanding service, coffee and sandwiches. Btw, the cook house is reservations only.

We had such an incredible time having our Rehearsal Dinner at the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center in July. The space was perfect, the views were incredible, and the food was phenomenal. Thank you Erica and team for putting together such a lovely evening. If you're looking for a space to host an event, we highly recommend the Nordic Center.

Our group of 12 started our day at the Nordic Center where me all met, had drinks while everyone trickled in and some rented snowshoes. Once the group was ready, we headed up the trail to the cookhouse a little over a mile away. Once we made it to the cookhouse we took in the incredible views and went in for our lunch. Reservations are a must. If you arrive early, you can get drinks while you wait. The food was delicious and the cookies at the end where perfect. With full bellies, we headed back. Can’t wait to return and stay in one of the yurts.

What an amazing weekend our group had at the cookhouse & yurts. Every staff member we met genuinely made us feel like they enjoyed their jobs. And liked us being there. We were right at home. Delicious wine and food. Yurts with spectacular views. Fantastic getaway just a short drive from Leadville. Special thanks to the young man who gave us a ride in and out. 42.

This place is totally WORLD CLASS!!! We stayed in the sleep yurts for 2 nights and were SO happy we did! The views are 180 degrees of majestic Colorado mountains. From our deck we sipped champagne and watched the sunset over Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive. Our trip was quiet and romantic and full of fun winter activities! We cross country skied, snowshoed, and fat biked. The trails are well-maintained and we utilized almost all of them. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The beds are comfortable and the yurts are stocked with everything necessary for a relaxing mountain getaway. The nordic center even has delicious espresso! The 5 course dinner at the cookhouse was outstanding, and it’s hard to beat being able to glide (on skis) to dinner! We are already booking our next trip to stay here. Highly recommend!!!!

Had a great time spending two nights at the yurts. The beds were really cozy and the staff is super friendly and responsive (I mentioned in passing to a woman at the nordic center that we were having an issue adjusting our wood stove and 2 hours later a staff member showed up at the yurt to show us what we were doing wrong). Really great Colorado experience.

Very pretty location and one of the few places that doesn't charge extra for having your wedding there on a weekend. Just be aware you don't get to taste any of the food before hand and it's not good at all. They also failed to get a tap for the keg we ordered and told me a few hours before the wedding started. That was sad because we had custom cups and napkins for the keg we didn't get to use. They also seem to have a lot of turn-over with the staff because a couple of months before the wedding we couldn't get a hold of our contact and it turned out she had quit and we had to work with another woman to get her up to speed in a short period of time. It's not the kid of professionalism or quality you'd expect from something that costs thousands of dollars.

Often overlooked by the throngs at the big resorts, this nordic center is a jewel hiding in the shadows of Vail, Copper Mountain, Breckinridge and Keystone. Located right next to the Ski Cooper alpine resort, so everyone in the family should be satisfied. The nordic center has well marked and well groomed trails. The lodge is comfortable and my only gripe, which is minor, is that the parking is kind of mixed into the busier alpine lots, and maybe a little more trail network would be nice. Dining at the Cookhouse is a special adventure.

The week of my birthday, I called the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center hoping, wishing, praying there was a cancellation and happened to be a yurt available on Saturday evening. When Erica told me there in fact had been a cancellation, I grabbed the available yurt and was so excited and truthfully, couldn't believe my luck as these yurts often book months and up to a year out. We packed our bags, got groceries, wine, etc and showed up only to find out our reservation was actually the FOLLOWING Saturday. I couldn't be angry as i knew it was an honest mistake and obvious miscommunication. Erica was so apologetic and immediately got on the phone with two other local hotels to see if there was any availability. She offered to comp our yurt the following weekend and also offered us cookhouse dinner passes that evening (if we got a room at another hotel) OR the following weekend. She went out of her way to make me feel she cared and was there to help us. We left town and weirdly got our brand new 4Runner stuck in the snow which took about two hours, resulting in strangers going to Leadville to get a two strap, later pulling us out. About five minutes after our car was out, Erica called and asked if we were still in the area, weirdly we were....she said one of the yurts had a "no call/no show" and we could have it if we wanted it. WE DID! We drove right back, checked in, got escorted quickly to our yurt so we had time before dinner to unwind and refresh, we skied to our dinner at the cook house which was nothing short of amazing. From the owner Ty, to Erica at the front desk, and the guys who helped us with out luggage, this team displayed qualities and service levels that absolutely match those at the Four Seasons, St. Regis, Peninsula Hotels. I work in global events and travel ALL over the world executing events for Fortune clients and this team exceeded my expecations with regard to service. The actual stay was unforgettable, such a special place/experience and we will, without a doubt, be back soon. Thank you Tennessee Pass team for your kindness, generosity, and positive attitudes. You made my birthday eventful, fun, and memorable.

The Tennessee Pass Nordic center is a great family friendly place and organization. They have fantastic staff, great ski instructors and great trails to X-country ski on. Their prices are extremely reasonable for both the trail pass and rental. Plus, they have an awesome lodge with great food and drinks too. Additionally, they have a great dining location (you have to hike, snowshoe or ski there) plus some sleeping yurts. This is a great place to go if you are looking for some great X-country skiing. I will definitely return.

What a wonderful place to make some happy memories! The mountain rustic setting of the little Nordic Center was something out of the past, with its toasty little cast iron stove warming our feet as we all sipped hot coco and tea! The homemade chili with hot corn bread was delicious- and the homemade artichoke quiche was generous in size and exceptional too ! Everyone who worked there really made us all feel at home with their kindness & service. Lots of really nice "rental" Nordic Equipment to choose from, and lots of SWIX winter gear! Everyone had to go home with a rustic mug, hand-made locally, unique and ARTY too!
