Love the food! I always get the same thing and it never disappoints!

Always delicious! Staff is friendly and fun. We love this place.

Delicious and inventive food. Healthy options. It's simple, but made right there. Slurp Saturdays have a special rotating homemade soup. It's a special place. The name is weird. Ignore it. There is a reason they have been around for awhile, and are getting proper recognition.

I get the teriyaki salmon and it is perfect every time. I have never been to a restaurant that is so consistently good.

I love the flavors. A nice combination between Oriental dishes like Thai curry, or Mongolian beef and classic flavors. I loved their Thai curry fried chicken and Steve's sandwich where the meat was cooked to perfection.

Food and service were fantastic! Recommended.

My first visit here. My Daughter had the salmon salad And I had the beef sandwich with fries. my daughter said that’s the best salmon she ever had. I had to try it got a piece from my daughter and it was delicious.. my sandwich was medium rare just how I like it. Very humble people love the location and atmosphere. People tend to forget this is not a fast food restaurant. I read other comments that it took forever to get your food. Don’t expect a McDonald’s service expect a five star restaurant.. The best thing to do if you’re in a hurry or a crunch of time order ahead. But I like to enjoy my food and take my time because life is too short. I’m in no hurry.. I will visit this place again and again. Whenever I’m in town thank you keep up with the delicious food and courtesy to customers.. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brought the family here, got a great table and food. The family that runs this business were exceptionally accommodating, sweet and great at what they do. The food was delicious AND they had gluten-free beer on draft!! Made my wife very happy. The bento box was the deal!

Very disappointed ☹️, I got my food to go, first time there, I got so little food, I got like 3 tablespoons of rice and 4 very small pieces of veggies, the meat and sauce had a good flavor though, but the quantity was very disappointing, we went and bought Jack in the Box to get full. Ugh needless to say won’t be going there again, NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Service was friendly. Only thing I found off was that our meals (2 people) came to the table 10 mins apart. Located on busy street. Some parking on street. Homeless camping on sidewalk nearby.

What a lovely, CLEAN, casual atmosphere on 3rd Avenue! The employees are kind and attentive and the food is freshly prepared but... The portions were very disappointing. We enjoyed a very tasty salmon "bento" box but... for $18+ you would expect to get a decent portion of rice to go with the salmon filet (decent portion of salmon but I was struggling to find any rice or Teriyaki sauce on the plate! See picture.) The vegetables were delicious!!! Only two, tiny fried gyoza come on a small bed of mixed salad. The ginger dressing for the salad is served separately and was good but it was so much compared to the amount of salad you get. The actual white plate that the food comes on is huge and adds to the illusion that the food portion is small, which it totally is. It did not scream "bento box." The lemongrass curry sauce on the wings was super yummy even though the wings could have been much crispier. They have canned sodas, canned Thai tea and green tea, Sapporo and other beers. I would reluctantly go back to try some other menu items but I won't expect good portions.

The first time I ordered to go from this place and food was awesome, one of the best teriyakis I've ever tried. If you are looking for a tasty and delicious teriyaki, I highly recommend this place. The plate I ordered is called bento combination.

Tijdens ons drie daagse verblijf in Chula Vista hebben we hier twee keer gegeten. Beide keren gekozen voor een bowl menu. Wij probeerden de teriyaki beef, de teriyaki salmon en de bulgogi beef. Beide keren was het heerlijk en ook genoeg. Toen we de tweede keer kwamen herkende het meisje in de bediening en de kok ons meteen en vonden ze het leuk dat we voor een tweede keer kwamen. Zeker een aanrader als je in de buurt bent en je wil eens wat anders dan hamburgers en friet.

Meeting to have family dinner and 🍻. Always friendly service. Loved the fresh squash this time. Super tasty, and the proverbial cherry 🍒 on top was dessert. Abuelitas Flan with fresh strawberry OMG GOOD 👍

Mediocre food, took forever to get here. We got the knucklehead sandwich (I asked for no egg) and the teriyaki burger. They couldn't bring both meals at same time, and at the end the food was extremely mediocre.

I highly recommend getting the meals preps offered here! Very affordable and delicious :)

We’ve had dinner there two nights in a row. The first time I had their salmon bowl, it was flavorful and the fish was cooked just the way I like it.. Tonight I enjoyed the tofu bowl, its flavors complimented each other but the portion of vegetables didn’t live up to the description on the menu. Overall they served the best meals I’ve had near Chiula Vista.

You can't go wrong with made to order food. Always fresh. You may wait. But it's worth it Teriyaki Bowl with double the meat is filling...add extra chimichura and you are good to go.

This place is slowly disappointing. The meat is rarely ever medium rare now and they're always closing early... Not cool.

Wonderful! Excellent and friendly and explained things I had never heard of!! Had a dessert that u drink and eat lots of fruit. It was really refreshing and delicious!!

Very good selection of food, tried several items and all quite tasty. The atmosphere was not particularly warm and inviting though, as the floors are polished cement and tables with hard chairs are the only seating options

If I wanted grill or a Rotisserie Chicken I can get it anywhere but I wanted it Teriyaki Chicken and saw this place and told myself " let's give it a try" . Well I got disappointed because yes they do grill the chicken very good till dry but not with the sauce, they give you the sauce on the side and sorry but why call it "Teriyaki Chicken" if you will just give Grill Chicken with a dipping sauce on the side and very little sauce after ordered double meat by the way. I ordered to Go and The packaging wasn't the most secure because even the containers didn't closed correctly.

Salmon bowl is hardly a bowl at all. It comes in a sandwich to go carton and has one small piece of salmon, a few asparagus and a few zucchini cuts. Not worth $16. Also, the young lady at the front counter needs.some customer service training. The place seemed very clean, and the little bit of food I did get tasted pretty good! This spot just needs a few adjustments

This is my Favorite Restaurant in Chula Vista ! Delicious Hamburgers, Steak, Salmon, Sandwiches, Teriyaki chicken. So Good. Always fresh. Great Owner & Staff. Highly recommend it.

Wow what a great place to eat!! This is not your normal Teriyaki Grill. So don't let the outside fool you, inside is a special treat. We walked in and they were so friendly to include a couple of their regulars, who recommended everything on the menu. I ordered the Mekishiko Taco which has seared ahi tuna and the Esteban Taco with steak. Wow! The tacos are small, so you need more then one but the flavors in these little tacos are delicious. The hubby got Steve's Steak Sandwich and it was amazing. The portion size is a normal size so don't plan on sharing a plate. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. Parking on 3rd ave can be tricky, so you might need to walk a block or two. Pay attention to their hours, they close at 8 and aren't open on Sundays. So if you are like us and feel in love with their food on a Saturday and were talking about getting food from them again on Sunday, you and I will have to wait until Monday.

Let me tell you this place is amazing! I have no idea how I’m typing still expressing the feelings of the environment. Super friendly. Nice. Respectful. Welcoming. This is my go to place for lunch! I advise if you like burgers go for the teriyaki burger. My favorite.

Update: nearly always closed. Older woman who owns the spot, unpleasant, to employees and costumers alike... Food has changed of course, but still good. When it's just the young people working, the vibe is cheerful and hip. If the older woman is there, everybody is walking on egg shells and you can tell... Hidden Gem!! If everybody knew how wonderful the ambience was and how super fresh and delicious virtually All the food was, there'd be a line out the door .. Uncommonly tasty fresh fusion Asian food my people and no, I don't work here. But I do live a few blocks away and feel blessed to be able to enjoy excellent inexpensive meals whenever I'd like to...

Steak sandwich for lunch was very good. Service a bit lacking. Server never checked to see if food was ok until i finished the meal. Only offered more water when i was finished meal. I had to bring my check to the cashier to have my credit card run. Overall service lacking, but very good food.

This place has almost become a weekly meal that we need to have. The food is fantastic. The Bulgogi Beef Bentos is my go-to meal for when I'm really hungry. They prepare the sides well with the salad and potstickers. Excellent customer service and super friendly staff.

I usually don't write reviews. But felt like I needed to this time! Right down the street from my work. First time coming here, and I'm amazed I have not heard of this place before! The staff was friendly and the food was really really good. Since COVID, this is probably the first good meal I've had in a very long time. It did not disappoint. I didn't have to flavor my food it was legit GOOD. Veggies were fresh, the beef was not over cooked or undercooked it was perfect. I seriously will add this place to my lunch rotation. Thank you!!!!

I guess they are not fully prepared for busy Friday night. At first it was a fast service, but they lost momentum with more people coming in. I had to ask them how much longer wait (30 mins pass). I was about to.cxl order if not made. 1904 loades fries was good. The Thai Curry Chicken was not flavorable (not quite thai curry). The bulgogi meat was alright. Overall, it was ok. Hopefully its better next time. Just needs a little help with servers at tables and less chaos seen in kitchen area.

I HATE BEING SEATED THEN BEING FORCED TO ORDER FROM AN APP. I feel it's very INPERSONABLE....we sat down and the server tokd usvto order ftom the app and we coukd get our own water from the water tabke. The lack of a server greeting you and offering you beverages, etc alienates a customer. That said.....their food is to die for... PHENOMENAL!

The food was amazing. The meat are so tender. Workers were very friendly. Kinda pricey but worth it. Wish they put more food for the price. Other wise I give it Five star.

Fairly pricey but isn't everything nowadays with inflation? The bahn mi was pretty good. Not as big as a traditional spot but higher quality for sure. Wings were good.

Ambience of the restaurant is nice with decor to accompany it. Service was adequate but the food was delicious. The chicken teriyaki was a bit on the drier side, but that is also because I ordered it extra Crispy. I was under the assumption that the chicken would be Crispy enough due to the fact that they don't really put too much sauce. I will have to try it another time with how it is usually cooked. The vegetables that came with it were great, although I was a bit iffy on the quality of the cauliflower. The tacos (beef and tuna) were both flavorful and tasty in their own right. Admittedly I was a bit surprised at the portion at first, but figured it would be quality over quantity and they delivered just that. Presentation of the food was great and I would definitely come back to try some more of their food. I will have to try their sandwich that everybody raves about and report back on it.

I really enjoy the chicken teriyaki plate. The grilled vegetables are always fresh and perfectly cooked. One of my favorite take out places.

Good place to eat. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious. They could improve little bit on the lighting of the place and maybe new chairs and tables since they are kind of sticky!! Other than that, try the Chap Chae noodles, they are very tasty!!

Ahi tacos are delish! The 1904 fries are fire & my all time fav is the Japanese ceviche especially on a hot summer day, it is amazing !! I intro my friend to this place and it is now one of her fav spots on 3rd Ave!

We go to this place several times a month due to their great fresh food and good prices. I always order a chicken teriyaki bento with double meat and my wife a tofu bento. Soooo good. This restaurant is probably in my top 10 best restaurants in Chula Vista. Highly recommended

I got the Alpha Salad and my husband got Steve's sandwich. Both were absolutely amazing, the steak was cooked perfect and tender, it was healthy tasted good, highly recommend this place 😊

Was a regular a few years ago. Was in the area today and ordered my go to meal. STEVES SANDWICH. Cant say it was as good as I remembered. I'll defenetly come back to make sure it wasn't just me. Will keep you posted.

I have to give credit where credit is due, 1st time customer and I got the best steak sandwich I've ever had in my life. Amazing flavor, cooked perfectly and has a slight kick which I loved. Will be back again very soon.
