We went here for our anniversary dinner I've always wanted to go to a Brazilian Steakhouse. Upon arriving, it was really noisy and open seating. The environment was not what I anticipated for spending $150 not including any alcohol. The salad bar was actually phenomenal. I'm not sure how much it would be by itself, but it was beautiful and everything was fresh and delicious. As the meat came around it was very exciting to see everything. My favorite were the lamb and filet mignon. The passion fruit shrimp didn't have much flavor. In my opinion. Maybe in the future try a different Brazilian steakhouse in the city . They did have the best blue cheese dressing I've ever had

Came for the meat, they do not season their meat except the chicken. Flavor was crappy. Had to use chimichurri to make it all edible. Definitely a waste of money going here if you actually know what meat should taste like with flavor.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this restaurant another try after our last …interesting experience… which occurred almost two months ago. If you want to read about what my boyfriend and I went through scroll down to the bottom of this review. After our last experience we didn’t know if we wanted to come back again. However, we decided to bite the bullet and try again to see if this experience would be better or similar to our last one. We left the restaurant very happy and satisfied this time. The service was extremely welcoming and thoughtful with very attentive staff. The managers, Lorena and Ricardo, were absolutely amazing and made our night. There was a large variety of delicious meat that was constantly going around and served hot. The drinks were delicious and I highly recommend the crème brûlée and tiramisu dessert martinis. My boyfriend and I are very very pleased that we decided to come back and give this place another go and were so happy they didn’t disappoint us. We will be coming here many more times in the future. Review from a month and a half ago: “The food and the experience is amazing don’t get me wrong. However, when it came to paying the bill I swear they tried pulling a fast one on my boyfriend and I and I think it’s because we are young and they thought they can get away with it. When the check came I put my credit card down like normal and calculated how much 18 percent on the subtotal would be. The waitress then swiped my card on her little self checkout machine and then proceeded to tell me “one second” and disappeared for 5 minutes out of sight with my credit card and me not finishing the transaction of choosing the tip and signing. In my mind I’m thinking why did she leave with my credit card after swiping it. Is she writing down my info? A lot of thoughts and confusing we’re circling my mind. I then see her come from around a corner and talking to a man at one of the computers. I’m thinking maybe the card declined? But that’s utterly impossible. She then comes back to the table with the bill printed and proceeds to tell me that an 18 percent automatic gratuity has already been added, and this bill is my final total bill. I’m staring at the bill confused because I had already calculated out the 18% and that was not what the total looked like. I then ask her, what do you mean gratuities already added? that’s usually for groups 5 and up like it states on their website. She then continues to stumble over her words and tell me that gratuity is already included. I question her saying that I have never heard of that before and this isn’t my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse and that what if someone comes in by their self do they have an 18 percent gratuity? She then stumbles some more and say “well no if they are by themselves no but for two or more people yes” at this point I’m starting to get angry. She then runs off and I’m calculating out the bill and it wasn’t an 18 percent like she said but almost 22 percent off of the FINAL TOTAL of the bill… The manager comes over and hits me with the “the waitress says you’re upset about the bill” I then tell him that the waitress claimed to already add an 18 percent gratuity that was automatic only for it to be 22 percent and he apologized and fixed it. Never in my life have I ever had this experience before.”

Great atmosphere... Excellent service... Our waitress was amazing, she helped me and explained how it works because it was my first time there. The hot and cold salad bar, could have some salads without dressing, and maybe more charcuterie meats and fruit. The meats needed to be more seasoned .

Best meat ever I had in my life.

Was on our way to take a cruise out of Jacksonville and did a search on Google for some nearby restaurants and Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse popped up. We decided to try and what a pleasant surprise it was. The meat was done right, the salad bar was on point and the service was the bomb. From our entrance to our exit, everyone and I mean everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to make our dining experience a memorable one. Next time in Jacksonville guess where we'll be dining?

I had an amazing experience at here. The ambiance was inviting, the food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was top-notch. All the disdes that I ordered was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Disgusting. The was leftovers food in the utensils. I went to the kitchen by mistake and there was wet food on the floor. And it nasty.

I have been a foodie and a hard-die fan of Brazilian steakhouses for a very long time... and to put it simply, nothing and I mean NOTHING compares to this place... from Argentina, Brazil, California, New York. The food is rolling by your table at all times, with a huge variety of cuts, just seasoned to perfection. The waiters are on top of their game, not a single glass becomes empty without having it refilled right away. The atmosphere is awesome and the hot and cold salad bars are out of this world. Management is on the floor constantly, engaging with customers, assisting staff and helping with the flow. They have this place running like a well oiled machine tunned to its core... and the clientele that keeps this restaurant busy at all times is witness to that. Cheers to an excellent establishment and unforgettable experience.

WOW WOW WOW I don't even know how to begin to describe the experience that my husband and I had tonight. Everything was so fresh, so flavorful, so amazing ! We have dined at Brazilian steakhouses before but this was our first time here. We were hoping for a great meal from the usual "Churascaria" restaurant where they come around with different cuts of meat. This was so elevated from any Rodizio that we've ever been to. The salad bar had hot and cold options, and a delicious lobster bisque. The side served at the table where mashed potatoes, polenta fries, plantains and those beautiful little dinner rolls that they serve. Within seconds meat was at our table. Lamb, chicken, pichaña, beef ribs, pork, filet...even pork belly and grilled shrimp! Now that's something we have never seen as an option. It was delicious! I did not have to pick up the salt or pepper once and I am notorious for salting things before I even try them. We got a pitcher of red sangria, it was perfect, not too strong or sweet. For dessert we ordered cappuccino, espresso and the molten lava cake with extra strawberries. This was the quietest dinner we've ever had. With every bite we just kept looking at each other like 'can you believe this restaurant!? It's SO GREAT!' We just moved to town 2 weeks ago and we have found our new spot! The staff was wonderful, they have so many people working there and anything that you could need they thought of before you could even look for someone. Glasses refilled, napkins brought to the table, dishes cleared. And not just by the wait staff, the managers as well. EVERYONE was working together and helping every table! It was one of the best we've ever been taken care of. Reservations recommended. We went ona a Saturday around 5:30. When we left the line was out the door! Plenty of free parking and tables to sit outside while you wait.

This is one of our favorite authentic Brazilian Barbecue restaurants. We often travel 139 miles from Savanna, GA, just to enjoy dinner at Terra Gaucha. Definitely our favorite restaurant in Jacksonville. We love the place, the staff and the management team! The food is absolutely incredible, what makes it impossible not to come back over and over and over. The video posted, is just a quick pick on the salad bar, which is amazing. The variety of Brazilian style barbecued meats is great and share a unique taste. You may find it a little pricey, however, it's worth every penny. This is a great place to come with your family, friends or a group of coworkers. I would definitely advise reservations for large groups or any dates around any holidays, since this is a popular destination.

I went in for my anniversary a few nights ago and I cannot recommend this place enough. The manager Lorena was so incredible. The market table was insanely good, filled up with all kinds of things. Perfect variety for both picky and non picky eaters. The meats that came around were cooked, seasoned, and timed perfectly. The gauchos were very attentive and met all requests we made. We ended the night with a complimentary dessert from Lorena and had an unforgettable experience. For my 1 year wedding anniversary my expectations were overachieved and then some.

I've traveled and eaten the US and europe. This was some of the best fine dining I've had. Amazing service, attention to detail, and absolutely amazing meats and salad bar. I can't wait to bring my wife down to experience it as well.

I am a local and have gone to two other similar restaurants. My experience here was superior to the other locations. The staff made me my husband and 12 year old son feel so welcomed and relaxed. The food was top notch with variety and quality. The place is beautiful and spacious. I will definitely go there again. Highly recommended.

Always enjoy our meal. Was disappointed that they didn't make an affogato that I ordered and took their time to unceremoniously tell me after everyone else had their dessert. Also, was annoyed that we couldn't use our gift card because the other couple had a gift card. It's not like we combined the bills. We both had gift cards and should have been able to use them. We also tip on the original bill, not the discounted amount, but I guess the management is just trying to limit discounts. Hope our next visit has no disappointing surprises.

The service was exceptional. I felt like a billionaire. This was the first time my wife and I have been to a Brazilian steak house. All the food was amazing. I don't even like pineapple but the grilled pineapple was delicious. Mierza went above and beyond and introduced me to a new flavor because I mentioned I forgot to try the ribs. we had already paid and getting ready to leave but he made sure i did not leave without trying the beef rib and even brought out a sauce for it. Everything about it was delectable. Highly recommend and will be returning on any occasion I can find.

The worst Brazilian steakhouse imaginable. The manager is quite possibly the rudest most unhelpful person on the planet. If you have a problem here.. and you will.. don’t bother asking for help. They just want your money. That’s all..

Great service each time I've been. The food bar is great with a good selection. I could eat in just it and have a good meal. The meats are all well seasoned and full of flavor. The meats come so fast you have to keep your card flipped over to slow them down, which is a compliment. The cinnamon pineapple is absolutely a must try! My only knock is that it can get loud at times with an open floor. Overall a great experience.

I went for my birthday it was awesome. The the hole staff all the way to management was very helpful and nice. Top it off I received a free desert and a gift card for my next visit.

We had a descent experience but our service was very rude she tried to embarrass us in front of our entire party. They are very expensive but their food is okay. That server argued with me and was very rude there was also a roach on my table but because the server and the manager was so mean I didn’t say anything. Much of it I believe was because I was African American. It’s sad and they made me give gratuity to that nasty server.

Definitely not as nice or as good as Fogo de Chao. From the salad bar to the flavor/quality of the meat...subpar. I wanted it to be good, but it's a cheap replica. Well, not cheap! If you enjoy a meal like this once or twice a year, go to Fogo. This will leave you disappointed.

This place is amazing 🤩 we had the full experience and I'm telling you it was unforgettable. We were in Florida for a wedding and this was one of the highlights of the whole weekend. Absolutely loved it. The meats were so tender and flavorful. I can't say enough good 😊

We've previously eaten at "Texas de Brazil" and "Fogo de Chao" and are familiar with their services. Terra Gaucha was impressive. The service was on point and we never went without. While we had an engaged server, every worker was attentive to our needs (they may share tips, but I wouldn't know). Salad bar was expansive. Protein seasoning was superior to competitors. The shrimp, which is difficult to describe, was simply amazing and made a wonderful companion to our meal. Highly recommend. Do not pass up this place!

Every time I go here, it’s the worst experience. Subpar disgusting steak , they seem to have new management now who don’t know how to run the place. I used to always get my Brazilian limeade, today I was told after I ordered it would be $9 for the limeade and I can only get the full pitcher instead of just a glass like I used to. I had no clue. They recently changed the policy and would not credit back anything, the manager here is the worst manager, I have ever seen. He can’t take off a simple drink??? Liar.. You guys have lost my business forever, and I will tell everyone to go to Fogo instead.

Great casual Brazillian Steak House. Meats were brought by frequently, and all the meats were good, but the Prime Rib and Parmesan Pork Tenderloin were fantastic. The servers were very attentive and helpful. I would definitely come back again.

Everything was exceptional with the exception of a couple items. The first issue was the dress code. We were expecting a nice proper attire as stated on the website and we were greeted with people in cutoff Jean shorts and wife beater t-shirts. The second issue was when we asked about desert. The young woman must have taken our question as we were ready to leave because immediately after we asked she cleaned off our table and brought our check. We were ready for another cocktail and possibly desert. It was so chaotic and rushed that completely screwed up our checks. The end was a nightmare, but the food and service before we asked about desert was fantastic.

The food is excellent and includes Brazilian grilled items not seen at the big churrascarias, such as shrimp, salmon, and pineapple. The salad bar is fresh with a huge selection. You do not have a single server, rather all of the employees work together to ensure that each table has continuous service. They also Inquire frequently to see if you are waiting for one meat in particular so they can be sure it gets to you quickly. The best meal that I have had in some time.

I've been here twice. The first time the food was great the meats were tender and flavorful. The staff is always very attentive and the atmosphere is beautifully maintained. The second the visit the meat was chewy. Not just one cut but many, ribeye, sirloin and even the filet mignon. The ribs were tender but lacked flavor. The picanha was delicious and tender. The shrimp were very good as well. We had a coupon from the first visit and waited around 15 minutes to pay the bill as the manager is the only one who can process the coupons. I'd go back if I thought it would be as good as the first visit but for $100 it is not worth the risk.

Food and service is always good. It's hard to find a restaurant that is consistently good but Terra Guacha is definitely that place. We have been celebrating special occasions here for 9 years now and we will definitely be back. Wish I would have snapped a picture of my mocktail. I had the cucumber drink. It was very good!!!

Went for my friend (Angela) 50th birthday celebration. It was a group of us. The food was AWESOME and so were the drinks!! The salad bar had many oprions for everyone. Alexandra explained the entire process to us newbies. Savannah assisted in cutting the cake. They took every good care of us and kept checking to make sure we were ok. The servers kept our plates full. I'll come back for lumch or dinner.

The entire experience was fantastic. Food, staff, service, atmosphere...all top notch. Very, very good, and we'll be back again. The only (very minor) complaint we had is that they should have a slightly tighter dress code. On the night we visited, gold-toothed 'Tyrone' with his jean shorts, basketball jersey and backwards ball cap was a terrible eyesore in an otherwise very nice, classy place.

This was truly an experience. I've been to a Brazilian steakhouse in PR and had an amazing time, but this experience supercedes every restaurant I've visited. So as a first time visitor I was a little surprised by the lack of service and attention given to get a situated. I love the restaurant however I was a little bothered by the fact that we were told to ask for certain things if they didn't come around and I waited and waited and waited for those two things one of which I never even got to try. My other complaint would be that you give us a inclusive price for this meal and then add desert to the bottom of the menu making it look like it's part of that pretty hefty price and yet I was charged separately for ordering a dessert. Which is fine I just wish I would have known ahead of time so I was aware. The cheesecake was worth the price just felt like it was a little misleading. I know my next trip will go smoother whenever I can save up enough to go back again now that I've experienced it once already and I would definitely enjoy it as a treat to go back because that steak was fantastic. I believe it was a sirloin cut that I absolutely love the most out of all of them. And for that alone it was worth it. I just feel like it's hard to get your money's worth to eat that much food because none of the sides or anything I really would bother eating except for just the meats and now that I've tried them all I really only want one maybe two. Overall the experience was unique, fun and tasty and I would definitely recommend others try it if they have not. I can't speak for how good their drinks may be because dinner was too expensive for us to do that as well. I can't believe I forgot to take pictures inside the restaurant of the food but oh well

We went here for the first time and it was amazing. It is a little bit pricey, but it's worth it. We had reservations, but we were able to get in ahead of time. They have a hot and cold buffet bar. They also bring out different types of meats and serve you. I'm looking forward to going back to this restaurant again.

What a surprise, and a disappointment! Since the lunch buffet on their site appeared to contain the same selection as Fogo de Chao, I thought I could save time by stopping on Southside and avoiding noon traffic in Towne Center. This place is noisy, with most tables placed around the bar. The selection was good, but the quality did not compare to Fogo. The rice was aldente, and the black beans were virtually tasteless. The receptionist was on the phone, made eye contact when I entered, but made no attempt to summon a waiter while I waited... and waited. I was eventually seated and shown the bar. Not once did the waiter ever return to refill my drink. I had to wave down someone to find him for my check, and then he presented me with a check for $48. We got that corrected, and I explained in detail why there would be NO tip.

I recently moved from Tampa and found out that Jacksonville had a Terra Gaucha. I’m not even going to hesitate in saying that this location is even better than the one in Tampa hands down. Definitely coming back!

Overrated. Glorified Golden Corral at best. No intimate seating. Meat quality just ok. $55 a person might as well go to Longhorns. SEAFOOD allergy Cross contamination a concern. JMO

The atmosphere is elegant and warm. The staff is highly attentive and friendly. The staff remembered everyone’s preferred temperature and likes and dislikes. The table was constantly being attended to. Their bar is well stocked and the staff was able to speak on the various selections. They have a true top shelf selections. The manager was inviting and made everyone feel like we were having a family reunion. This is truly a gem and leaps and bounds better than the competition. I will make it my business to return. The experience I had was par to a Michelin selection restaurant. FYI. I am not affiliated or have any connections with this establishment. I am simply giving credit where credit is due.

We end up going here, because Fogo de Chão was having a private party that day for lunch. First time here, and had a wonderful experience, the food, the service, the decor, and the atmosphere top-notch. We will definitely return.
