We hadn't ever had Thai food before. The server was spot on with her recommendations and so friendly. The food was delicious, and we will definitely be back.

We had an obviously new waitress, which is fine. Despite clarifying our order prior to placing it, the check was still wrong. When we had a question about it, the person training her was rude and very unprofessional. The overall meal was good, but we will not be returning after the service we received.

The food is really good and fresh. I have tried the fried rice, pad Thai, and pad kee mao (my absolute favorite). I really love their ginger dressing for their salads too. The restaurant is always clean and the staff are friendly.

Great small place [Update: 5/26/2024]: Thai Diner has to be one of the best Thai restaurants in the entire Mobile metropolitan area. I spent two weeks in Thailand, and ate a ton of different dishes there. Also, living in SF for 15+ years provided me access to a lot of great Thai restaurants. Thai Diner never disappoints! Service, atmosphere, food, quality.. it is all 5-stars. Plus, they have prik nam pla!

My friends and I truly enjoyed the food and the customer service. The portion sizes are great and the tea is delicious.

Great food, reasonable price, and nice portions. Be aware that hot is #3 on a 1-3 scale. I like hot and 2 is sufficient for me. Well seasoned food and friendly staff. Be aware Basel Rolls (light appetizers) are served with peanut sauce on the side.

Thai Diner is our favorite place to eat Thai in Mobile! Best spring rolls in town! You can't go wrong with their curries, house fried rice, or Pad Thai. Be sure to enjoy a pot of hot Jasmine tea with your meal.

Food is incredible, lots of flavor and the price is very reasonable. I spent $12 for a great lunch.

Thai Diner is always a pleasure. Quiet, nice atmosphere. The service is nearly always phenomenal. And the food is always amazing. I will always recommend the Tom Kha soup and any number of curries they have.

Good food but very slow service. Two young people working the customer area. There were maybe 3 other tables filled besides us. The young lady waiting on other tables was very efficient and super friendly. Maybe the guy waiting on us was new and couldn’t juggle the two tables he had with answering the phone and getting take out orders ready. We got our water and apps quickly but then he never came back to take our entree orders. I asked the other waitress who told us he had to take our order but after awhile longer she decided to take it. The food took a long time to come out and I’m pretty sure some of the people who called to order take out while we were there came and got their food and left before we ever got our food. No one ever came back to our table until they brought the check so no drink refills. It seemed there was a lot of wrong items for the takeout orders and a bunch of confusion between the two taking care of customers so I guess that was the problem. 🤷🏻‍♀️

An adorable Thai Diner with great food. The service is good but they can get busy during main lunch / dinner hours sometimes. Their quick if you want take out, too.

We visited here for the time yesterday evening. Small restaurant, but the food was good and reasonable prices. Services were great, and foods were prepared fairly fast. Enjoyed our meals.

Clean well kept small restaurant in a strip mall. Our first time here and we ordered the crab Rangoon, and house fried rice. We were asked what meat we wanted and got one tofu and one pork. Also asked about side and both chose spring roll. The Rangoon came out right away and was the best ever. Next came one egg roll?? (Thought we must have misunderstood what she asked) Also very good. The house rice was hot and delicious with enough for another meal take home. The bill was just weird. We were charged for the Rangoon and the rice as expected but upcharged $1 for the tofu and $2 for the pork. No a huge deal but neither the menu or the server mentioned it. If we were in the area again we’d still definitely return.

Prim King green beans with tofu we're off the charts. Such good food and great pricing. Biggest and best Thai tea I've had this side of the Mississippi.

We love everything we've ordered on the menu here. Our go to favorites are the lemon curry noodle bowl, pineapple curry and beef salad.

First time dining here and was really impressed. The crab angels and spring rolls appetizers were tasty. The crunchy shrimp and pad prik entrees were so flavorful and fresh. Will definitely be returning!

One of the best Thai diners in Mobile. It's the best Thai food I've had compared to the others. Just know a little something about Thai food before you go in, and don't ask silly questions, like "what do you recommend. . ." It's Thai--everything is good.

After a long day of roadtriping - eating mostly fast food, we wanted a healthier dinner. Reviews for Thai Diner were good, & we gave it a try. The 3 of us each had something different: broccoli with tofu, veggies with tofu, & a pad thai with chicken. Each dish was very fresh & delicious. The service was quick & excellent - & the place was clean & charming. If we lived in Mobile, this would be a regular on our dining list!

I asked waitress what she recommend and she said Crispy Chicken, that is what we got. I loved the rice the way they did it was different than any I have had and it was great. Everything was very good, next time I am in Mobil I will go there again.

This makes the third visit that something has been wrong with our order. Food has great flavor but the wait staff and ease of ordering needs help!!!

Me and my fiancé have been regulars here for a couple of years, and I have never had a bad experience! In fact, we have introduced most of our friends to this place and love it as well. The employees are super sweet, always on top of things. We've never have had to wait for food more than 20 mins, even when they are slammed with people. We both get the fried rice and the favor in it is AMAZING. You can get it however hot you want it (they go up to 20 stars), and the prices are reasonable as well! This place is our favorite restaurant to eat at

I ate the spicy crispy duck and it was absolutely wonderful. The quality and quantity of food was amazing and the service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely recommend and come back again!!! This was the best crispy duck I've had since Chiang Mai!

I got the spicy catfish dinner with white rice. I got it at the Thai hot level which I thought was spicy but still full of flavor. Overall the meal was pretty good in the coconut soup was also something different and good.

I had the spicy basil beef takeout with brown rice. I asked for Thai hot and got it medium, which is typical....rarely can you get it Thai hot, but very tasty, quick and friendly service .. no complaints, I’d come back for sure.

No one would fail to rate this place a five star restaurant if it was located somewhere other than a strip mall. Though it is cramped with cooking supplies and foodstuffs in seemingly every corner with the exception of the small dining room, the food is nothing short of exceptional. Colorful and generous portions from a diverse menu. Make sure you experience the Thai tea-you won't get a better one.

good size.portion. price is reasonable. we like their red curry dishes best. their coconut soup is creamy. it is very convenient from the univ (usa). highly recommended.

Very willing to adjust recipes for my vegan preference. Had ginger tofu with brown rice. A home run! Quiet, efficient service in a friendly but understated way. Spice choices are mild, medium, hot, and Thai hot. I had mild and it was quite enough. Hot would be too much for me. Nice decor, very clean.

Our party of two both enjoyed our entrees that were very reasonably priced. Service was good and very friendly. The only downer was that I couldn't have a Thai beer with my meal, as the don't have an alcohol license. Oh well...

Thai Diner serves a good meal with ample lunch portions but they need to work on their spice level. Our table ordered either Hot or Thai Hot and all our food arrived with the same spice level which had a little heat but was not in any way spicy. That being said, the food was very good, service was quick and the prices very reasonable. This is definitely place to re-visit for dinner to see the expanded menu.

I had the Panang Curry (chicken) - Thai hot lunch special with coconut soup and brown rice. Everything was awesome. The Thai hot spice was hot, but not obnoxious. The meal with unsweet tea was under $10.00 before tip. I highly recommend this restaurant.
