I don't usually write reviews for food establishments but this food truck is just so good that I have to. I've tried the majority of the items on the menu, and each one was extremely tasty. My personal favorites are the pad thai, satay chicken, and the pineapple curry. The food is authentic, and the owner is extremely generous with portion sizes. A small entree, which costs $8, is already a lot of food. Large entrees are only a dollar more ($9) and, for most people, are enough for at least two meals. All entrees even come with a complementary bag of potato chips. The owner, Tim, is also probably one of the nicest and sweetest human beings ever. He serves customers every day with a genuine smile on his face and also remembers all the regular customers. He even gave me a Thai iced tea (which I'd also strongly recommend!) for free one time because there were extra. Overall, the Thai Gourmet Food Truck gets a 5/5 in all of my main metrics of taste, value, and service. If you haven't already, please give this place a try. update: rest in peace Tim. I'll never forget the kindness you showed us.

This place is really a gem. I come here often (whenever I crave spicy pad kee mao (it is amazing!)). The owner is the sweetest and he always smiles! I feel like whenever I go there he gives me some of his positive energy along with great food!

I had the chicken pad see ew. It was full of flavor. Way better than a few places i have been recently. The portion was enough for two meals for me and the price of $7 was great! I will definitely be going back soon.

We just had this for my son's birthday party this weekend. Everyone LOVED the desserts - kids and adults. We ordered the ice cream sandwiches, donuts, cake pops and strawberry lemonade. They made sure we ordered enough for everyone (and was kind enough to make sure we didn't order too much as well)! Highly recommend Sweet Ride for your next event!!!

I hate Pitt. Pitt is the worst university I’ve ever studied/worked in. I usually don’t like anything about Pitt. But I have to say they have a great food truck.

Please come to CMU, it beats all the food options around campus.

I work in Oakland and this might be my go to lunch spot - it doesn't break the bank, food is delicious and I have leftovers for even a small size, and the owner is hard working and very friendly. You seriously cannot beat the prices of this Thai food truck. The portions are large and food is delicious! Also the owner is super super friendly! It’s a MUST, we drive out of our way to go here. There’s street parking near the truck.

Tim is incredible. Ive been coming here since 2018 and his ability to remember every customer coupled with their amazing food makes for a very pleasant experience. I suggest their pad see ew noodles as well as the pad ki mow. The Thai fried rice is excellent as is the Thai iced tea. The tofu is always crispy and they use solid cuts of meat in their dishes. The pricing is also beyond reasonable. I can order a small (plenty filling) dish with a coke for less than $7. They're truly the best. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

Despite being roadside, this food truck is absolutely a "hidden" treasure around Pitt's campus. Has to be the best street food in terms of both quality and price in the entire city of Pittsburgh! Would defintely recommend as the service was friendly, the food was prepared quickly, and both the drink and vegetables tasted incredibly fresh! I highly recommend the pad kee mow. A perfect balance of spicy and savory. Portion was definitely more than worth the price. Thai iced tea was quite flavorful as well! Check this spot out, you won't be sorry!

Pad Thai is excellently seasoned with great heat, chicken or veg are the best choices imo. Price is also fantastic - a small is like 700 calories for $6. Having a la carte peanuts and hot sauce is amazing and should be the norm in every Thai place. 4 stars only because they ran out of the other noodle types and drinks about halfway through the day - will happily revise later. Update: Pad Kee Mow is arguably better than the pad Thai. First time I've actually tasted the Thai basil in any one of these dishes, awesome taste. Noodles have great, chewy consistency too. Just make sure to arrive before 12:15 if don't want a 30 minute wait.
