Me & my nephew were looking for Thai food & came here. It's a very small place, & they don't even have a restroom for their customers. So we ended up walking out of this place. We never ordered any food. Was quite disappointed.

Love their Green, Yellow, and massaman curries

Little to No chicken. They use Bamboo shoots as a filler so if you aren’t paying attention you won’t notice. Low quality food. Not worth it at all

My father in law suggested we check this place out. We were in the area so we decided to try it. You can only order take out, which is fine. The food took maybe 15 minutes, but it came out piping hot and fresh. We ordered green curry and Pad Gra Prow. Both were good, the Pad Gra Prow though was one of the best Thai dishes I’ve ever tried. It was flavorful and smoky, I’d definitely would come back just for that dish, it was reasonably priced as well. So so so good!!

I rarely take the time to post a review, but this place exceeded expectations, even for "foodies" like us. First time order through Grubhub. It arrived 10 min earlier than scheduled -- hot, freshly prepared, and fragrant. We had to immediately open and taste EVERYTHING (see recommendations below). Granted, this is our first and only order so far. Having now read some of the negative comments, we still definitely intend to make this a repeat. Mistakes do happen, so to those who were less than satisfied -- maybe give this place another try and a chance to impress. Tom Kha Gai soup -- out of this world delicious! Green curry -- yum, though stay on the milder side. Pot stickers -- a must try. Tom Yum -- if you are a Tom Yum fan like me, their recipe is not the best I have had in SL (on the sour side and not as full-bodied and savory as I like; but still very good -- fresh, full of veggies and shrimp).

Food was splendid. Nice and clean. Our food was hot and perfectly Thai. Coconut soup is my favorite. We also had basil chicken that was flavorful and tender.

The peanut sauce was rancid, the wraps barely had any meat in it. The mango on the stick rice was extremely unripe and the rice was swimming in sweet milk.

I had a great experience here. Love Thai food, but asked for a spicy recommendation and was told green curry (which I normally never get). Really enjoyed the food and was even offered a complimentary water bottle while I was eating. Friendly and tasty.

One of the best Thai food places in the valley. If I could go anywhere, I'd pick Thai Orchid. So delicious, i cannot recommend enough.

I’m not sure what’s happening to this place. We have ordered take out here quite a few times and at first it was great. However, the last 3 times have been not good. Last night was the final straw. The chicken curry was green water mixed with a couple shreds of chicken. The chicken skewers were tougher than jerky. I’m not sure what changed but whoever is making the new food obviously doesn’t care about the quality so we won’t be ordering any more.

I’ve tried the massaman curry and the pad Thai from here. The curry is absolutely amazing! However, the pad Thai needs work.. too sweet and not enough other flavor.

Best green curry we have found in Utah

I was hesitant to buy at first because of the few bad reviews but my favorite Thai place was closed for delivery so I tried Thai Orchid. WOW! The food was so so good! I got the Tofu Pad Ke Mao and the Tofu Pad Gra Prow both spicy and it was so delicious and very spicy how I wanted it. I am going to order from here all the time now, so much better than what I was getting before!

I have ordered here twice and each time I've really enjoyed it. They have a wide selection on the menu and the food is incredibly well done. I also appreciate that if I want something super spicy, they deliver on it and make me second guess my decision to ask for pain. This is now my go to location for Thai food and expect to be back often for more. If you are doing pickup, you can use the app linked off their site and it's super easy. It emails or texts when it's ready and they gave it all ready when you arrive.

This is our go-to place! Always good and fresh, this place is a must if your in the mood for Thai. Prices are great for the proportion you get, and we always receive the best service. Highly recommended!

Smaller but good Thai restaurant. For always tastes really good. My biggest complaint is that there is not a lot of meat in the portions served.

I love Thai and have tried most every restaraunt in the valley. Thai orchid is.. Ok. I wasnt impressed the first time and I figured it was time for a secibd chance and still wasnt impressed. I felt like it lacked tjose really bold flavors I eat Thai food for. It seemed kinda bland both times. I also asked for authentic hot both times and it wasnt even spicy either time.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant ever! (Also my favorite restaurant ever) The owner is from Thailand and the food is very authentic. I have loved every dish. My favorite dishes that you should try are: chicken satay (appetizer), sweet and sour, cashew chicken, massaman curry, PAD THAI!!, and sweet coconut sticky rice. This is a permanent birthday dinner location for most of my family.

My husband and I LOVE this place. It is one of the best Thai restaurants around. The yellow curry is amazing and the dumplings are the best I’ve ever had. We’ve had several other dishes here and they’ve all been delicious. You can’t go wrong with the Thai iced tea either.

Best Pad Thai in Salt Lake. This place is really good. They cook the food fresh, but it's ready pretty quickly. They are affiliated with Door Dash and Grub Hub as well. It's small inside, but it creates a nice peaceful dining experience. Also, try the red curry, that is really good too.

Fantastic flavors. Really generous portion sizes. Some of the best thai iced tea I've ever had. Extremely friendly and fast service. Great character inside as well, with interesting travel documentaries about Thailand playing on the televisions inside. Highly recommend and would definitely go again.

I can’t stop eating here... I’m obsessed with their yellow curry(i finished a whole takeout container in one sitting)and my husband loves the pad Thai. I went twice last week... i will be blaming them for my holiday weight gain.

This place has the best yellow curry in the city. They use chicken breast and other quality ingredients. The potato’s are buttery and the curry is so flavorful. I highly recommend this place if your looking for good Thai comfort food.

Amazing sweet rice and ice cream

This place has some of the best Thai food that I've had. It is a small and precious shop that has awesome art on the walls to make a great environment. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and the ingredients in each dish. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants really great Thai food and a great dining experience.

This will forever be my favorite place to go. The owner/cook is from Thailand, and the food is amazing. If you're looking for authentic thai food, I love this place for their massaman curry, pad seiw, and pad puck. Theyre bobba thai ice tea is also a great new addition. And the price isn't bad for the size. Unless you want to eat cheap, fake, asian, food, and spend like 9 bucks, please feel free to go to panda express.

This is a small restaurant with each order prepared individually. Not fast food, but very tasteful food prepared with attention to quality.

In town on business. Looking for something different, and hadn’t had Thai in quite a while. So I found this close by. Started with spring rolls. I prefer natural Un-fried spring rolls but they didn’t have those. They were very tasty. For an entree I tried #41. Chicken with zucchini mushrooms mini corn broccoli and cabbage. Very good. I wish I knew more of the choices. But was very happy with my choices.

I make it a point to eat at this restaurant every time I'm in town, which isn't very often, and I am never disappointed. The food is authentic and good and the staff is so friendly. The ambiance isn't much to speak of, but the service and food make up for it.

This place has the BEST Thai curry dishes in Utah. Yut the owner cooks each and every dish. Many items to choose from. But the curries are my favorite! Gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights. But well worth the wait. Their lunch special is AWESOME! You get to choose two items from the menu. Comes with rice and a nice little salad with GREAT Thai salad dressing. Well worth the money!!!

I order from here somewhat frequently. They are always fast to get the food ready for me to pick up. They'll always quote 20 - 30 minutes, but if I get there early, the food is almost always already ready. The food is delicious and the prices are great. My one complaint is that some dishes aren't quite as large as I would like, but I'm a bit of a glutton so I can't hold that against them.

This place has the BEST massaman curry ever, seriously it smells and tastes like heaven. Their rice is so soft and creamy and pairs perfectly well with the curry. I have also tried their shrimp pad thai, which was also really flavorful and delicious, but I typically just come here for the massaman curry. I've seen someone negatively talk about the texture of the curry in a review, and while it is very thin and liquidy, it is by NO means watery! I feel the texture is just how curry is supposed to be, and it's packed full of flavor. The ambiance of this place is really quaint, relaxing, and quiet. We love coming to dine in, or it's quick and easy to grab some food to go. This place is definitely worth checking out!

One of the best Thai food restaurants in Salt Lake City. A cozy little spot with friendly service. The food is never over sauced. Even a simple dish like fried rice is incredible here. It isn't Thailand, but it is about as close as I've experienced.

Okay so after arriving in Sandy for the week and heading over to Casa de Mole - CLOSED, then drove over the Bandits - CLOSED.... OMG... we were so hungry that we were about to pass out. Warning folks for out of town: this part of the country seems to completely close down on Sunday!... must be a religious thing... whatever, we were aobu to come unglued... Thanks god for Thai Orchid! I will be honest it was not the absolute best Thai food we ever had but at the time is what like eating at the Four Seasons:-) So I'm not sue if I can be completely objective... We were staving, over ordered, etc etc... The service was great (we were the ONLY ones dining-in), saw many pick up orders. It was a bit pricy for Thai - my young son and I racked up a $60 bill... but again we over ordered so who knows. Thank you Thai Orchid - Thank you for being open!

This place has the best Red Curry Chicken in town. The staff is always super friendly and kind. It's cute and quaint inside. Definitely worth a try. ;)

My wife has been coming here for years I on the other hand have been reluctant to try finally I gave it a shot and am glad I did! I had the Pad Siew. It is one of my wives go to meals and it was fantastic. The service is good not great but the job gets done. The food is excellent and worth overlooking a little slow service.

We absolutely love this place!!! My mom is the best cook in the history of the world, but this place comes pretty damn close. We come every time we're in the area. The owner is so kind and good. We love the food - I always get the gang massaman, my wife tries different things and loves it all. We also love it because we're supporting a small place and genuinely good people.

We like going to this restaurant. We had a group of 6 plus a child and arrived for dinner. We were seated immediately. We ordered a few appetizers (we were disappointed that they were all out of Curry Puffs) and many entrees. I love the Panang Curry, and we ate the first dish and ordered a second. The food is freshly prepared and hot from the kitchen, and there are a lot of items to choose from. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Free parking is available. The space is small, so come early to get a table. We really like Thai Orchid and we will return.

We found this little restaurant near where we were staying in Salt Lake and decided to try it. It's not much on ambiance, but what it lacks there it certainly makes up for with the food. The owner and chef is from Thailand so the food is very authentic. There is a great selection of food and it is reasonably priced. The staff couldn't be more friendly, just like in Thailand. The owner even comes out to see how you are doing and takes the time to chat with you. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want an authentic Thai meal. Try the som tam, the green papaya salad.

We consistently get good food whenever we go to Thai Orchid. We like to eat in versus ordering out as the portions seem a bit larger when eating in. The price is a bit higher than other Thai restaurants, but the taste and quality are supreme. We love all their curry dishes and their phad thai. Its a small place in a strip mall and seems very suited to a neighborhood clientele . They have all the standard Thai dishes and do offer some daily specials. Food is very good and very reasonable and service is excellent. If you're in the area well worth a try..

My family had all had Thai before and I was the only newbie. The server that took our drink order never returned after delivering drinks. After about 15 minutes we had to ask to be served. Then I heard our 1st time new server asked our drink server if he wanted her to take our table as he continued to serve the bulk of this small restaurant. She was very polite but continuously delivered to us incorrect times for when appetizer and then our food would be delivered. The drink server when taking our drink orders failed to tells that the lemonade ordered was out except for the two glasses brought to us and that we could have water. We were charged for lemonade. Everyone at our table seemed to enjoy their food but mine was bland and left a funny taste in my mouth, like dry or cotton-mouth. Not enticing this 1st time Thai food consumer to ever try Thai food again and definitely not this restaurant. We're off to a Vietnamese restaurant tonight.

This is family owned, and the owner is from Thailand. We've ordered the exact same yellow curry at other Thai restaurants, and they couldn't even come close to Thai Orchid. Exceptionally personalized service is what you expect, and what you get from an eight-table family owned and run restaurant. They don't disappoint. This place is the standard I apply to all Thai food.
