Visited here on 7/17. A waitress who was sitting at a table yelled across the dining room when we arrived, directing us to choose a table. Too much effort was required, apparently, for her to stand and greet us. Sadly, she turned out to be our server. Chicken fried rice and shrimp tempura on the table. The tempura were quite small and hard to cut. The fried rice dish was ample, but had the wrong type of onion in it. Taste was just so so. The server didn't offer to refill beverages until after she brought the check. Worried, I'm sure, that her horrid service would reflect unfavorably in the tip. This is truly awful on the part of a server. People order beverages to enjoy With the meal.... Not the check. Although the decor was pleasant and colorful, it won't do anything to disguise the lack of even basic service and the rather steep prices. It was our first visit here. We won't return.

We went for lunch as Thai Spice offers a great lunch menu. We were seated quickly in a nicely decorated and spacious room, service was very attentive and fast. They walked around to refill water and tea frequently. Our dishes were prepared nicely, the ginger pork was full of fresh ginger and yellow curry with chicken was spiced nicely at the medium level. Pad Thai was a disappointment: it just tasted salty and with too much dark soy sauce, noodles were soggy. Adding shrimp means 4 shrimps were placed on top. The lunch menu comes with egg drop soup, 2 small fried egg rolls, and tapioca pudding which were nice add-ons to round out the meal. Overall a pleasant experience although the simple Thai dishes were disappointing.....

Outstanding delicious food. Eye popping atmosphere. Very reasonable, affordable and generous lunch special that includes a cup of very tasty egg drop soup before the meal, 2 small vegetarian fried egg rolls with the meal and a small portion of delectable tapioca pudding after. My partner had the Tom Yum soup and fresh veggie spring rolls as an appetizer. The spring rolls were very fresh and served with an interesting dipping sauce we both enjoyed. The Tom Yum soup was outstanding and quite a large portion. We will be coming back to try more of the menu.

Thai Spice delivered a delightful dining experience with a mix of vibrant flavors and generous portions. Our meal included a variety of dishes: beef salad, ginger stir-fry with beef, sweet and sour chicken stir-fry, fresh spring rolls, fried rolls, and sticky rice for dessert. Starting with the appetizers, the fresh spring rolls were generously sized and bursting with freshness, while the fried rolls were simply amazing, crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. Moving on to the main courses, both the beef salad and ginger stir-fry with beef impressed with their tender meat and crunchy vegetables. The sweet and sour chicken stir-fry was a hit as well, perfectly balancing tangy and sweet flavors. Despite a busy dining room, the service was commendable though the food did take a bit longer to arrive, which was understandable given the freshness and cooking to order. Highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the sticky rice dessert, which we all loved for its rich, satisfying sweetness. Overall, Thai Spice offers a memorable dining experience with delicious food that's worth the wait. We look forward to returning to explore more of their menu. Went back the next day for more and the service was very quick even though they were quite busy. Love this place.

I lived in Thailand for 9 months, I know how Thai food supposed to taste. Even though I do not expect exact same taste here in America , I still want decent quality of food. My husband and I ordered Pad Thai , Basil fried rice- the taste was normal, thank you for that. But our Tom Kha was just terrible with every spoon I ate, I just had a feeling that I am eating sugar. It’s literally sweeter than their Thai tea. Absolutely disappointed with that soup, I would not be back.

The culinary offerings at this establishment are of a high standard, however, the service provided by the wait staff is inconsistent and unprofessional. During my initial visit with colleagues, the primary server displayed a rude demeanor and treated us as if our presence was an inconvenience. Conversely, the secondary server who assisted us towards the end of the meal was exceptionally friendly and attentive. On a subsequent visit with my parents, there was a significant delay in serving my mother's appetizer, approximately 15 minutes after my father and I had received our complete meals. Upon inquiring about the status of her order with a server who was not assigned to our table, we discovered that the server who had initially taken our order had neglected to check on us and had subsequently disappeared. Given the abundance of dining options available in Albuquerque, it is regrettable that this establishment's subpar service overshadows its culinary merits. While the quality of the food is commendable, it is insufficient to compensate for the poor service, which ultimately results in an unsatisfactory dining experience.

Staff say they don't cook with MSG at all at Thai Spice, so you don't have to request No MSG.  Both Pad Thai and Tom Kha (coconut soup) are excellent, though you won't get rice with the coconut soup on a to-go order like you will at most Thai places. I always order to-go, and the steamed (not fried) tofu that comes in my Pad Thai orders is always tender & delicious; but the scallions  are incredibly inconsistently done — sometimes good-sized, fresh & plentiful; other occasions, you can barely find them. They used to have an attractive and welcoming cast iron table with padded seats out front where you could rest or dine outdoors; but regrettably, got rid of it just in time for spring 2024.

Excellent Thai food. Prices are on par if not the most reasonable in the city. The location is far from where we normally dine but this was worth trying as many people claim it’s good - and they are not wrong. The Pad Thai is actually a little fishier than most places but the texture and taste were still amazing. Their pineapple curry was incredible. Full of flavor and nearly authentic (since we were just in Thailand and had plenty of delicious curry). Considering we (USA) don’t have all the correct ingredients to make the best curry around, this was as good as you can get.

We were excited to try Thai Spice but I'm not sure if it was just because it's Friday night that left us underwhelmed by the whole experience. We waited for 30 mins which was longer than we were told but it was fine. We got seated and the wait staff gave us the menu and since we were all hungry we were ready in 3 minutes. She came back after 10 minutes and asked what we wanted to eat and drink. Since most of us ordered hot tea our waitress did not ask if we want iced water. I was going to ask but she never came back. Our dishes was served by the owner/manager after 30 minutes. The soup I ordered did not come with rice nor I was asked if I wanted a cup. The one small rice cup we have gotten had mixed of burnt rice mixed in. To top our dining experience there was a lady soliciting while we were eating selling pink bracelets supposedly for cancer. I don't know if this is the norm but will definitely rethink about going to this place.

One of the best Thai places I’ve been through out the country. I’ve had a lot of Thai food. We went on a week night and reserved a table jic but it was unnecessary, the restaurant was busy but not packed and had good flow. First you’ll notice the atmosphere, very relaxed, a little whimsical and of course Thai originated. The waiter was quick, friendly and very good at his job. We ordered Thai iced tea, Thai iced green tea, hot jasmine tea and mango nectar, all of which were brought to the table pretty quickly. Between the three adults and 2 children we ordered Satay Chicken app, Thai fried rice w/chicken, pineapple curry, panang salmon and pad Thai. Each dish was to rave about. Got there and was seated relatively quickly, they got our order quickly, but that’s where any resemblance of service stopped. The waitress never really came back and it took almost an hour and a half for us to get our food. When it did come out it was either luke warm or ice cold…if even the correct food. Didn’t even want to bother with asking for it to be reheated or asking for the correct item since we didn’t want it to take another hour.

Saturday. December 9, 2023. Dinner. We lucked out. They had an empty table as soon as we walked in. Sat us down immediately. There is an outdoor patio, but no one sat there because of the freezing temperatures. I heard the waiter tell subsequent people walking in that it would be a 30–40-minute wait. They are located Northwest of Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte. Our waiter, Johnny, looked young and energetic. He told us the restaurant had been opened seven years. We ordered 2 shrimp spring rolls ($5.95). They were large but had very little shrimp inside. The vegetables inside didn't taste old, but they weren't super fresh either. I ordered the Jasmine tea ($2.50). The tea came in a heavy, black metal tea pot with two tea bags and a black metal cup. I liked the presentation, and the tea had a nice, light floral flavor. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with seafood ($15.95). I believe the seafood included mussels, squid and some sort of fish. Johnny told me that the Thai Spice level was hot. He joked that I couldn't send it back. So, I ordered that level and found it to be not hot at all. I had to add Sriracha to it. Johnny checked on us multiple times during our meal. He had a pleasant, positive attitude. The restaurant is decorated impeccably, with swimming fish, multi-colored upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, romantic lighting and modern artwork on the walls. I can attest, from personal experience, that the men's bathroom was very clean inside. Let me be honest, this isn't the best Thai cuisine in Burque. It was a bit bland and not very spicy. However, the service and ambiance were hitting the mark and the prices are reasonable. If you want an average Thai meal, this is your spot.

However, my last three visits have been sub-standard. First the host, is consistently overwhelmed and confused about the whole seating queue which may be why he’s RUDE. This last visit the cooks confused my and my guest’s order, and did not place onions in my curry, then when I requested my order be corrected they placed undercooked onions in the curry and tried to pass it off as “remade”. When I called it to the waitress’ attention and she acknowledged that they only added onions and did not remake my order properly! Definitely the quality and class of this restaurant is dissipating.

Portions are amazing and the food is even better. During peak lunch and dinner hours, seating can be full, but it is worth it! For the quality of food and service the price is very good too! The dining area is decorated beautifully and gets lots of natural light.

Green Curry was bland with only one sad little basil leaf to be found. There were no lime leaves at all but there was a ton of mushy overcooked broccoli, carrots, and cabbage.

First time here and will not be returning. The food was good but the staff are SO rude and uptight. We waited 15 mins for anyone to take our drink order. My mother ordered the #30 and they brought out a #31. When she told the server she did not order the #31 the server rudely told her “you order this one. this is what it is.” Like my mother didn’t know which one she ordered. No accountability whatsoever not even making sure with the lady who ORIGINALLY took our order. We sat with empty glasses for almost a whole hour before someone came around to check on us. The #31 dish was left on the table untouched and all they asked is if we wanted a box for it smh. Still after trying to get someone to take it off our ticket they STILL charged us for it! The poor and rude service resulted in us not leaving a tip because why would we tip someone who didn’t even care to provide proper service to us in the first place? Well come to find out, they ADDED A 20% TIP TO OUR TICKET WITHOUT OUR AUTHORIZATION. I am baffled at the way this place is conducting business and the way they allow their staff to treat costumers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place ever.

I had the massaman curry with tofu for dinner for $12.95. The server didn’t ask whether the tofu should be fried or steamed; the tofu came fried and seemed slightly tough, especially for being immersed in curry. I had been warned by a friend the dishes came spicy, and “spice” is in the name, so I erred on the side of caution and got my dish mild since it was my first time trying this restaurant. The dish was indeed mild with spice level. There was also not much flavor to the dish overall. Even with a dish being mild, it can still be flavorful, though that was missing. This massaman included tomatoes, along with the standard peanuts, onions, large chopped potatoes, peanut sauce, and then a choice of protein. This massaman does not come with carrots. The restaurant was completely full as it was a Friday night. There is not an area to wait or seating while waiting for a table. All seating is movable chairs (no booths), and there are no stairs into the venue, so patrons using wheelchairs or large-bodied individuals will not have an issue with seating arrangements.

If you’ve been to a lot of thai restaurants across the country you may know what I’m talking about. This is one of those thai places where the ladies have a ego, drama, & elitist attitude. That usually foreshadows the food. The food was not good at all. They’re stingy with ingredient and the flavoring was subpar. One and done. No thank you
