The quality of my chicken, broccoli and rice and crab rangoons was very good. However, I will not return simply because they're too highly priced. My total came to over 18 dollars (before tip) and i had 2 cups of food. My first choice was closed today and Thai Theras food has never disappointed so I went ahead and ordered....but damn....too expensive for me and to not have leftovers.

Got scammed.. order pad thai.. this is the only thai place or restaurant that if you order a pad thai noodle it comes with a rice.. what ???! Carbo plus Carbo?! So it turns out you only get half of the order of pad thai coZ the other half is rice.... for $11.50?? Not coming back..

A "once" wonderful place to eat. Service, food, value, & atmosphere were all top notch. Howerever.... food quality has dropped, price has significantly increased, which is acceptable but I hate when a restaurant increases prices and at same time cuts the portion size! Thi Thara was probably one of my top 5, go to restaurants in Richmond Indiana but after my lunch today, I doubt I will return. Not to mention when picking up my order I was told the prices are going up again! Let's hope the portion size isn't cut even further. Denver C.

Dine-in at thai thara and you will taste the authentic thai cuisine. Food taste is so good. I got chicken curry and it comes with a cup of rice. They'll also serve a complimentary soup while waiting for your order. You might want to try their thai tea.

Richmond is really lucky to have this place... the food is amazing, the service is great, and the portions are generous. The spicy fried rice and chicken satay are the highlights of the menu for me.

Casual place that serves yummy authentic food, well priced, serves soup as an appetizer.

Love this place! Me and husband have had the sesame balls, pad thai, chicken and rice soup, sesame chicken, and Thai fried rice so far. All have been very good. The fried rice is the best I’ve ever had. The chicken and rice soup was also superb. I really appreciate that the chicken is cooked well (not dry) in the pad Thai, which I always seem to run into at other restaurants. Not to mention, the staff are all friendly and very attentive. Much appreciated! If we lived closer, we’d be here all the time. Highly recommend!

I never write reviews but want everyone to know how fantastic this place is. My absolute favorite restaurant. I come here almost weekly since first trying it. The Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) chicken level 3 with cashews added is my go-to. I usually also get the spring rolls. Best spring rolls Ive ever had! So crispy and the sauce is unreal. My sister doesn’t like spring rolls (or Thai food) and even she is obsessed! I have also tried the crab Rangoon’s, sesame chicken, and kung pao chicken- all fantastic. I’ve tried several other Thai restaurants including very expensive spots in Dayton, and they are just absolutely nothing compared to this place. The staff is also so friendly and welcoming. When I bring my daughter in they always give her little cookies/candy/a toy even! And they recently added mango sticky rice- game changer!!!!!!!!

Food was ok but for the price their definitely should have been more food

I love the soup they give you, and they offer you water no pop. I didn't really like their pad thai but if you like peanut butter then it's for you.

Best Thai Drunken Noodle in the Midwest. A Monday night, place was swamped with takeout orders- usually a good sign. I usually judge a new Thai restaurant by the Pad Thai but waitress suggested the Drunken noodle. I was blown away. I’ve eaten at all the best Thai restaurants in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago. Previous best Thai in Wausau WI called Newch’s. How is this gem in Richmond IN? Same reason my hometown has Newch’s. Would love to try their Tom Yum soup. This is a do not miss.

We were running errands while camping nearby and looking for a lunch option. Wow, we were surprised to find such a good Thai restaurant in the area. Food was served quickly, and it was great.

Really surprised with this place! The outside doesn't give it justice. Food was spectacular. They have the typical Chinese food, but thier Thai food was amazing. Closet thing to traditional Thai food I've had in Indiana.

We tried it for the first time. Cashew Chicken with the Thai Tea to drink, and the Crab Rangoons. it was great. I highly recommend.

I felt so welcomed as soon as I walked in. I had never been here before. She was very patient with me. I was sooooo indecisive. So many things to choose from. I ended up getting the sesame chicken and volcano chicken. I also had the soup with chicken and rice! BEST I EVER HAD! Oh and I got the crab Rangoon!!! Soooooo good! Just how I like it. Everyone was SUPER friendly! Great atmosphere! Great staff! Great food! I’ll definitely be going back!

I go nearly every week, I've been doing that for a while and it's still not getting old. I'm trying to branch out more and the Pad Mei Bei is something I recently tried and it is fantastic. The pad Thai is the best I've ever had and that has been my favorite dish since before I knew about Thai Tara. The staff is wonderful and kind! The place looks beautiful inside and it's a great place to sit and eat. I'll see you again next week! Lol

This is my favorite restaurant in Richmond! The customer service is amazing! I moved here from Denver and was so happy to find them! I eat here a couple times per week. Favorites are: Thai tea, pineapple tangerine chicken, and the sesame balls!

Food was good - I ordered pineapple fried rice with pork, with a Thai iced tea. It was excellent - large pieces of pork, and easily enough for two meals. I did a carry out, and they were really quick. I'll definitely go back again when I'm in town on business.

Thai salad as an appetizer, Yellow curry as a main. 10/10 I love this place so much for not just the food, the service or the atmosphere but all three combined qualities that make Thai Thara truly amazing.

Two words, "Eat here." If you enjoy Thai food you won't find anything this good for miles. Very large menu, generous portion sizes, Vegetarian friendly options. Plan ahead for ordering though, they shut down for certain hours of the day. I would dine here everyday if I could.

Excellent food! Spring rolls were fabulous. Service was quick and our water refilled repeatedly. We weren't paying attention to the time and didn't leave until 15 minutes after closing time (last people there) and no one said a word. Nice staff! I will come back here!

The food is AMAZING! Stopped here in the middle of a cross country road trip not expecting anything but was immediately surprised on my first bite. My wife's meal was wonderful as well so it wasn't just a lucky pick. So good!

We’ve been enjoying this great place for years! We stopped by last Saturday night after not visiting for awhile since we moved further away awhile back. The staff remembered us as usual and even remembered what food we like & how we liked it prepared. Friendly crew and delicious Thai cuisine!

It was my first time dining here. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had the Pad Kee Mao ( drunken noodles) and the Thai Prikam (peanut sauce with vegetables). Both were delicious and my friend who doesn't eat exotic food raved on about the latter dish.

This place needs a remodel but don't let that fool you. The food was delicious. Great service as well. I loved the Fried rice with Tofu. Everything was fresh and hot!

Food was delicious, and plenty.

Tried this place for the first time tonight. We went in and ordered carry out. Our food was ready in 10 minutes, the place was clean, service was great and the food was excellent. It's been almost an hour since I've ate and I'm still oohing and awing over how delicious it was. I live 35 minutes away and will not hesitate to make a long drive to eat here again.

The building doesn't look impressive, but fortunately I was there to eat something new. The food was delicious and the portions were filling. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. We had no idea what to order and our questions were happily answered. I can't believe it took us so long to try it out, but we will definitely be going back for more.

Went last night and got a curry that isn't on the menu. I was so disappointed when I saw that red curry wasn't on the menu but the waitress told me I could still get it. So I got my curry, it's delicious and a really good sized bowl. It also came with rice. When I was finished I had eaten all my rice and still had a lot of curry so the waitress gave me another box of rice to take home with my leftovers. Love this place will be going back. The only bad thing I can say is that the portion sizes for the appetizer is disappointing.

It was recommended by local people. I really like their food. One on my favorites is the lettuce wraps. Owner and staff are very friendly. I got a menu and the owner marks the dishes I tried and recommended new ones. This place is a jewel and a "most visit" if you are looking for a place to eat. Prices are also good.

Went in not expecting much due to the exterior. Inside is VERY NICE. Food is EXCELLENT. Lunch Entree came with the best soup I've ever had. I had volcano chicken. Very flavorful. Definitely recommend if you're in the area

Doordash, delivers. Many phone ahead for pick up service. Very clean. Staff is very helpful. Food is wonderful. Heat from1-5, 3 is perfect for me. Outside is rather uninviting but once entered it opens up into a much more attractive setting. Some beers and wines available. I recommend starting with the appetizer sampler.

We stopped for lunch here while travelling. My wife and I chose to share, so we split one of their appetizer samplers and a plate of pad Thai. They started us with a bowl of chicken rice soup, which was outstanding. The apps were great--three dipping sauces, one a very mild sweet chili, one a sweet-sour, and one peanut based. They went quite well with the crispy egg roll, the crab rangoon, the steam pork bun, and the exceptionally good chicken satay. The pad Thai was the first I've had in a long while that had that indescribable taste. Consider getting a Thai iced tea, sweet and creamy and gorgeous to look at. Service was great, and prices modest. Definitely worth a visit.

We love the international options that are available in Richmond. This makes me miss home, Bloomington, IN a little less. The food is consistent, hot, and delicious.

My hus and I just tried this place. It was great. The service was awesome and quick. We have talked about trying this place and we just now did. We could kick ourselves. We will be going back here.

Amazing food. As an L.A. transplant, I fell in love with this place on my first trip here in 2019. Historic Thai Town in L.A. was minutes away from my house and the neighborhood to go to if you wanted bomb Thai food. Thai Thara rivals what I was used to eating in L.A. and for that I'm grateful because the food options here aren't spectacular. Menu is limited but that's understandable based on this being the midwest and folks here have a different palate than big city people.

Thai Thara is the best restaurant in a hundred mile radius. The food is outstanding and the staff are truly the nicest people. Even if we lived somewhere else we would come back just to come here. Thank you guys for being the best at what you do.

Thai Thara is great. I haven't been as often as I used to because the dining room is still closed. Im looking forward to being able to sit down, have a small bowl of soup (great soup) and pad kee mao. As with most Thai restaurants, spice scale is 1-5 with 2 or 3 being roughly equivalent to a Mexican restaurant hot salsa.

Love the Pad Thai. Absolutely love it. I keep saying I'm going to try something new off the menu, but I can't lol.
