The Blu Halo is my “go to” restaurant in Tallahassee. Beautiful decor, attentive and friendly staff and the food and creative cocktails are consistently delicious. My friend had the ribeye on a recent visit and raved that it was so tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. My salmon was topped with a light satsuma sauce was absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect spot for a lovely dinner or brunch. I highly recommend!

Amazing Delicious Food and Incredible Live Music The Vibe is so romantic and fun. Great for date night, family dinner, parties, brunch, girls day out. It's the place to see and be seen. I definitely recommend a reservation as they book up fast. We have been going for years and the Blu Halo Team is the BEST!!

The Blu Halo is ALWAYS my go to gor special occasions, brunch with the girls, date night and happy hour. Recently, we had an aunt pass and wanted to have close family members done and celebrate her life after the service. I called the Blu Halo team and as always, they made it happen. We dined with 30 family members who loved the food, service and atmosphere. I can't thank them enough for saying "yes" anytime I call upon them.

Blu Halo is a fine dining restaurant, backs it up with their food and the friendships and atmosphere is what it’s all about. Our favorite place to go!

This was the worst dinner we’ve everhad. Not only was it horribly cooked, but it didn’t taste like steak at all. The side/ tasted like they had been left out for days as well.

This was the worst dinner we’ve ever had. The ribeye was the worst we’ve ever had in our lives outside of highway restaurants. Both my husband and I looked at each other and we asked - is this even steak? Truly. Not only was it horribly cooked, but it didn’t taste like beef at all - like a mix of ham, pork, and grease. The vegetable side tasted like it had been left out of the fridge for days and covered in lemon juice to cover it up. We love the team here - and the service was wonderful.

Came to Blu Halo last Friday with a group of 6 and ordered the seafood tower as our table appetizer and it did not disappoint!! Wonderfully laid out full lobster, shrimp cocktail, king crab, ahi tuna, oysters, and a smoked mahi fish dip. For a table of 6 this was the perfect appetizer as all of us are seafood lovers. They also had a half tower option for smaller groups but recommended that the full tower would be a better portion for our group. This tower is only offered on weekend or else we would go every other night!! Most definitely will dine again at the Blu Halo!!

Had the best service and experience at Blu Halo. Alyssa and Catherine are fantastic at the bar. Baby Gray was amazing. So entertaining!!

Went on a Friday evening with friends. Food and drinks were great and the atmosphere was fun. We will come back in the future.

It's simply ok. Plates start at 30 and top out at 50. A couple won't escape under 120 and will be hungry afterwards. The food is good, but expect a decorative but moderate experience. Environment can be noisy on weekends. Our table blew about 400 and the waiter was definitely coaching us to the door.

I am incredibly grateful to Chef Josh and the amazing team at Blu Halo for going above and beyond to make my wife's birthday dinner truly unforgettable. Their exceptional service and delicious food truly made the evening special. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

Hung up on 4 times. Reservation of 16 or more, $250 food deposit $1500 drink deposit for party of 16 And you need to sign a contract!!! Really?!! Is there underlying racism here?

a wonderful dining experience. the atmosphere is blissful, the food is angelic, and the drinks are exquisite. every dish and cocktail is a work of art. would be an easy 5 stars but the service is rather sluggish. still, with everything else considered, it's a great restaurant and definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic service from Haylee. Entrees of blackened grouper and honey glazed salmon. Delicious and cooked perfectly. If you've had their blackened grouper before you may want to try this. Lovely bold spice that does not overwhelm the grouper flavor. Topped off with a blueberry lemon creme brulee. Pictured is the appetizer ahi tuna on guacamole

Had brunch at Blu Halo to celebrate with family, and it was amazing! Drinks were amazing, food was delicious! (I recommend the Country Benedict) This was my second visit, so I’m sure there will be a third. 🥰 10/10

I go here often for anniversaries and got a filet as usual and it was delicious. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating, but was greatly disappointed when finding out they got rid of their smashed potatoes. Our server was so kind and smashed some of their fingerling potatoes for me, but if not for that, my rating for today would be lower.

Food and service was average but not great. We made reservations in January for graduation weekend in May. After being seated we realized the menu was not the same as on the website. Our waiter did not say anything regarding the menu but after we asked he confirmed the menu was scaled back due to it being the busiest night of the year!! Upon checking most of the entrees were $5-10 higher than their regular menu and significantly fewer options. After placing our drink order a member of our party went to the restroom and quickly returned to the table. The smell was so atrocious that he almost got sick and could not stay in there. Everyone at the table started to notice the smell so we alerted the hostess. They quickly said they would reseat us and were aware of the problem. As it turns out they are having a continuous plumbing issue since opening the new room. Not worthy of a return visit and disappointing for our daughter’s graduation dinner!!

We love Blu Halo! Especially the owner Andy and manager/bartender DJ. All the staff are pleasant from the time you hit the front door. The food is always fresh and my latest favorite are the mahi-mahi bites. If you're ever in town visiting stop by I promoise you will not be disappointed. Hoping and praying one day they can opening a location in Atlanta😉

We got to the table and ordered drinks. The drinks came 30 minutes after the food. The food was mediocre. The atmosphere was ok.

Always ask to meet Andy. His hospitality sets the standards for Tallahassee dining experience.

The atmosphere was nice, but we were in a separate room for an event and the live music was so loud we struggled to hear.

We had a great evening at Blu Halo. When I made our reservation on Open Table I requested a table near the bar if there was live music, and they definitely accommodated! Drinks were excellent, as was the steak. We will be back…again and again!

Went to celebrate with family, and we ended up throwing away the left over food and ate at another place. Found hair in the potatoes, hair on the steak, fly in the drink. For average people it might be fine but we left in disgust. I’m writing a review so others will get a better service in the future since a manager was not called.. picture of the fly we sat indoors and the fly came with the refilling of the drink.

Can't in good conscious recommend the Blu Halo. It's trendy, fashionable, and nestled right in the heart of NE Tallahassee, and it's better for a place to get a drink than it is to get a meal. I've gone twice - Once about a year ago, again early March of 2024. Both times I ordered a steak - The first time a ribeye, the second time the filet. Both times, the steak came out cold. The first time, with the ribeye, I sent it back. This time I didn't bother, because lo and behold when they cooked me a new steak with the ribeye, the recook came out cold too. The red skin potatoes were bland, the steaks appeared to lack even a dusting of salt and pepper, and the cuts weren't anything to write home about. Service was great, the drinks were strong and satisfying. Expensive, but as is everything else at Blu Halo. This was the only part of the experience that was worth it. They make a great old fashioned. While the first time I went the restaurant was busy, early march of 2024 was not that bad - there's no excuse for a $55-$60 steak to come out cold. Do better guys. Outback is a loathesome restaurant but if I were going out for a steak, their offering is actually better. $125 for a disappointing meal with a few good drinks is not worth it in the slightest.

Our experience at the Blu Halo was unforgettable! We went for an early valentine’s dinner on February 8th and it was excellent. Our server, Taylor, was very professional and so informative and responsive to all our questions. Andy was great with wine advice and the awesome Chef came out to check on us, too. The food was beyond our expectations. Highly recommend.

This was my first visit the experience was like fine dining the atmosphere was nice and elegant I did enjoy it the grouper was delicious also the scallops my drink was the lavender lemonade…. Delicious and pretty. The only problem was the long wait for the food but it was understandable it was a crowd there. I will most definitely return for another visit.

Our first time trying this restaurant. Was extremely disappointed. Greasiest steak ever Ive ever had. Scallop topping came out cold. Husband's steak was burnt. Sad when the best thing on your plate is gray potatoes.

We eat here frequently and it is usually amazing. Last night I tried the dry rubbed new york strip, and it was a very bad cut of meat. The steak was not good and had lots of gristle. It was rather disappointing since it was a $70 steak. You could tell it was a bad cut and should not have been served. Love the grouper and salmon piccata though - both very good dishes. Great drinks and service as well, so disappointed about the steak.

Made a reservation for NYE. Went in to the restaurant to confirm the reservation and find out if it would be ok if the # changed. I’ll just say I was NOT amused by the managers response. I made the reservation for 5. It was probably going to be 3. He sarcastically (and with attitude) explained the inconvenience that would cause because we were set up for a BIG table. I ended up canceling because my friend was sick but I will NEVER go there to eat not will I attend any events held there. To talk down to a customer and make them feel like they are a bother for trying to give you business is a no-go in my book.

Best Restaurant I've been to in a long time

One Star because Zero is not an option!!! This place was awful!!! My wife’s food was cold. We sent it back and when the waiter returned it was not much better. None of the bathrooms are working. Do yourself a favor and choose a different restaurant.

Top-notch Tallahassee experience. Blu Halo never disappoints. We have come here countless times and continue to have an excellent time. Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is very cozy/chic. But the food is next level! Some of the best steaks I’ve had come from here. The Halo Punch is my favorite pairing, but to each their own. Overall, it’s a great place to go to spend an evening with friends or family and have a wonderful time.

I had my 50th birthday party celebration in one of their private rooms. David helped me with all of the planning and he was there to personally take care of my party of 40 people. He was fantastic. He made my day very special and memorable. Everyone had a wonderful time!

After being seated a server greeted us and brought us waters. It was all downhill from there. We waited 30 minutes for another server to take our drink order. We then waited another 15 minutes to receive our drinks. Keep in mind the restaurant was only 1/2 full. We had another server stop by to deliver other people's drinks to our table. After placing our entree order we had another server try to deliver someone else's entrees. Our entrees finally arrived, but they forgot about our salads, which were delivered shortly thereafter. I ordered the lamb. I should have been concerned when they didn't ask for a temperature. The lamb arrived medium well and tasted like cardboard. Our server concluded our visit by bringing us the wrong check. This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. Avoid this place at all costs.

The waiter was wonderful. The food was not so good I ordered the shrimp and grits which cost $20 the portion size was for a child not an adult.

This restaurant was incredible. It was our first time eating here, and nothing we had was disappointing. Every facet of this experience was amazing. We used OpenTable to book a reservation and got right in. I highly recommend this restaurant for a couples night out. I ordered the baby back ribs. It was a whole slab of ribs! They fell off the bone. Mynwife had the pork chops, and they were great as well. Our servers' name was Jordan, and he was amazing and not concerned about sharing his opinion. Fantastic experience. We will be back!

Was there for a presentation on finance. My wife got her plate and was already eating before mine was brought. Her steak was bigger and the serving of potatoes I was given was small. The food was good, but not worth $40+ dollars a plate.

I was so lucky to have David taking care of me when I came in! He was very personable, funny, offered great suggestions and not too hard on the eyes if you know what I mean.

Went to have dinner with family. I only recommend the appetizers. Our mac/w.lobster was too small. My chilean sea bass was cold when I cut it in half to share. Drinks are great, I had a coconut mojito which, was tasty.

The patrons are Hollywood wanna be’s… the vibe is extra cologne and multiple plastic surgeries. Not the fun vibe we look for. If I want to overpay for service, food & drinks… I’ll find a spot that is actually worth it! #BasicAF

MY HUSBAD ORDERED THE 36OZ. PORTERHOUSE medium rare. This was their special for the evening $70.00 . Unfortunately , they had overcooked it to a medium well. He had to send it back and 30 minutes later they brought a new steak to him. Unfortunately, I had to eat without my husband and it ruined our special dinner. Not much help from management or waiter. We will not be going back there

It was a good food limited choices drinks were good. water seemed was not the service priority was hard to get hold of waiter after meal was served.

My wife and I went last night for their happy hour and couldn't be happier. We enjoyed great drinks and tasted most of the happy hour appetizers and each one was better than last. Dave the bartender was attentive and nailed the recommendations.

Came here for my 5 year anniversary. Food was great, service was excellent and the attention to detail was amazing. Easily one of the best places in Tallahassee!

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for so long. We decided to plan a date night here. Upon getting there, we were seated in the back (near the restroom).Our server came and took our drink orders. The drinks were sour and tasted like a bunch of bitters, and the food took about an hour to come out, even without a large crowd. We also noticed that it seems that they put all of the people of color in the back of the restaurant. The service was subpar, and we truly felt that we were placed in the back and forgotten about. When the food did come out, my pork chop, and my husbands steak was charred and tasted like dirty grill. The lobster Mac & cheese was dry and really isn’t a true lobster Mac and cheese. For this place to be “upscale,” it was definitely subpar and I will not return. We also didn’t even see, or get to experience the bar area.

Unreal! The ambience is amazing and the food is even better. Wow! Def try the beef tips and ahi poke apps. Drinks were great too. Soft live music was a bonus. The perfect date night spot. Alanna was our server and she was great too. Overall great experience. Five stars.
