I wouldn't put any stars to be honest. The food was dry and flavorless. Frozen Margaritas were shamelessly watered down/melted and the atmosphere was not great at all. Won't be coming back no thank you. Spend your money elsewhere.

1 star for customer service. I'm not sure if they don't have respect for copper color people, but I dont appreciate that everytime I frequented here whether to pick up an uber order, and a couple times for service, that the guy with the suit in the front and some others (whom should be greeting ALL guest with a smile or just some sort of real acknowledgement upon entry) litterly just glance and then look away at copper colored folk without any sort of greeting🤔 Fix the problem management. it's occurred multiple times. So i most likely won't return. I only leave comments if its serious. All lives matter! #respect and love first.

The food was decent. The chips and salsa are good. I wasn't a fan of the house margarita. If the house margarita is good, you don't have to worry about any other type of margarita. The service was a little slow.

I have mini tacos….. little too salty!

The second time I have ordered the steak fajita salad and it had so much water and no clue other than they did not drain the water off the lettuce. I had a steak faijta salad soup. OMG awful once again.

These people are very rude and racist . I came in building mind you it’s only me and the employees and manger i guess . They seen me come and just proceeded to keep doing they own thing so i waited like 7 mins starting at them as they just walked by . So i just say out loud i have an order if anybody cares somebody is standing at your door i. Your establishment are yall not going to greet or see what i want . The women was the only to answer me the men that clearly were in suits and not employees acted like i never was there.so too who ever was listening i told them it’s your job to see what somebody wants in your job . They never answered me so i left and told them I’ll just write a review

The Border Mexican Restaurant is where it’s at if you are looking for great food and even better service. I ordered the Tacos Carne Asada and they were on point. Salsa was really good with just the right amount of heat. The absolute best part of eating here was by far the service provided. My server, Mario, was exceptionally courteous and had a super nice attitude. If the food doesn’t bring you back to this establishment, the customer service will!

This place just keeps getting better and better. Great spot to eat before or after a Braves game without having to pay high Battery prices.

I've been here several times with friends and it's always been a good experience. The margaritas are good and the food is great as well. The staff has always been attentive and friendly. There has only been one instance where a friend had a piece of chicken not properly cooked but once we alerted our waiter he refunded the meal and offered to have the kitchen make my friend something else. The owner even came by to personally apologize for the mistake. They were so understanding and since it was a minor thing that only happened once in the many times I've gone, I believe it was just a fluke and would be surprised if anything like that happened again. Can't wait to go back honestly!

Blackened steak shouldn't be a thing on tacos.

Let me start by saying that I am never opposed to a “homey” Mexican food spot, but these were the worst nachos I’ve ever had. I don’t really understand how you could mess up nachos, but they did. The chips were soggy, despite being put in the oven. The cheese was watery and flavorless. The guacamole was just puréed avocado, nothing else. The chicken was bland, obviously boiled. The best thing was the mango margarita. And that was mostly juice. They were short staffed, but our server was polite nonetheless. For 2 nachos and 2 margaritas plus tip, we paid $73. I probably will never come back.

This place is fantastic. We go back time and time again because our favorite server, Mario, is always so generous. Margaritas are very good. Update: still the best place ever.

My GoTo place for Mexican food. You better have an appetite when you come here. And the staff is awesome. A little slow because it's all made to order but worth the time and money

I ordered a sprite...glass was dirty twice. I sent back 2 times. Food was not good. Steak over cooked. I ordered the steak chicken shrimp over rice with cheese on top. Than the blinds at window was dirty, silverware dirty. First time there. Want go back again. Just a dirty place over all.

A bit pricey for basic Mexican food and experience. Host did not want to accommodate our party of 2 at a table on a busy Saturday night and sat us at the bar. Multiple tables opened up 15 minutes after sitting down, so we moved. Servers were friendly. No prices on the drink menu, which is never a good sign. Pitcher of house margaritas was $29. Difficult parking.

If you have a food allergy this is your place. I left a mother place called “Prickly Pear”…. 1 word Horrible. But this place. Great food. Nice people. They took me 30 mons before they closed. The atmosphere was amazing. They have a waitress by the name of Nevay. Simply the best. Simplemente la mejor! Nevay 🫶🏽

We visited for the first time and we were very satisfied! We ordered a bean burrito, cheese enchilada, chalupa, Mexican rice, and refined beans. They all tasted great and we loved it! The menu has lots of vegetarian options as well! If you are a vegetarian and enjoy Mexican food this is a perfect place for you! If you are a Mexican food lover I would highly recommend this place!

Steak was way too salty and chewy, service was ok, barely saw the waitress, Food is overpriced, we really don't care much for this restaurant, but it was raining and we were hungry, next time we are going next door.

I did not really enjoy my experience. My significant other and I came in on a weekend night, and the server was decent at first. However, after we ordered our food, the server mentioned he would come back to give us more salsa, but he did not. He also never refilled our drinks, despite coming by often and talking to tables around us. He never spoke with us after we ordered our food; instead, he just dropped off the bill and went on his way. The food was bland at best and lacked flavor. I ordered enchiladas for reference, and I have to say I could have made them better at home with store-bought products. I would not recommend this place, and I will not come back ever again. It was a waste of money.

We’ve come here four or five times. Usually the service and the food has been pretty good, but on Friday, we watched numerous to-go orders go out the door, and it took us over an hour to get our food. It was the last time we’re coming here. It’s not like every single table was full, but it looks like they might’ve only had two servers handling 8 to 10 tables.

Mario was our server and he was fantastic! I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita, queso, and the burrito de carnitas. It was all very good. The parking lot is a bit small though. Other than that, would 100% recommend.

When I arrived at the restaurant, the staff was very welcoming and I was seated right away. I started off with the Queso dip and it was BOMB! The food was fantastic, I think that this is the best Mexican food I have every had. When I was looking at the reviews I was appalled by them. Either these customers are 1. Very picky and over dramatic, or 2. Have no life and are very negative. I loved everything from the food to the restaurant itself, it gave me and my family a homey vibe. This business is wonderful and the staff is great, especially twin cashiers and managers, LOL. I will definitely be coming here again and recommending this to all my friends. :)

I ordered an enchilada and my baby had a burrito and it was not good the plate was so hot like it was in the oven I have had some really good. Mexican food being it’s my favorite but this was not it

I had shrimp tacos, and they were particularly fishy. Shrimp tasted old. 3 tortillas came with 4 shrimp in them.That's it. No toppings. Nothing at all. Looked terrible and tasted the same.Atmosphere is dark and dingy.

Came here on a Saturday night with family. It was a group of 6, and despite them being busy, they still sat and served us quickly. The chips were fresh, and the salsa was too. Potent nice sized drinks, nice portions, and very reasonable prices. Parking was a bit tough, as the lot is shared. Kids menu available as well as booster seats and high chairs. Overall enjoyable evening.

I frequent for lunch as it’s close to work. Always great food and service! :)

Really great food, love the vibe in here! Our waitress had a major attitude for some reason, but maybe she was just having a bad day. Overall, I'd come back! Drinks are a little expensive, and so is the queso, but really tasty.

Ok food... Amazing chicken soup!

This was my first time here. The service was friendly and attentive. Cheese dips are delicious. Carnitas dinner was yummy has to add a little salt and pepper, but I would rather do that than have it be over-seasoned. The rice is soft and flavorful, and the beans are fresh. Everything came out quickly and super hot. Chicken soups is also tasty. If you're sensitive to spicy, tell them diced jalapenos on the side. I would recommend and will return again. 👍

The tacos were horrible they were completely uncooked tasted like blood and some weird chemical taste would not recommend here at all don’t listen to the other reviews I’ve been here three times and they messed up all three times no go!

My problem is I have come to this restaurant before and the food was decent BUT today I decided to get take out from them and I was unsure of what to order, ended up getting enchiladas I wanted chicken and forgot to mention it so I went back to exchange the order THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE EXCHANGE. He said it was my fault and had to purchase another order. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE CUSTOMER COURTESY I GUESS NOT. ANY OTHER MEXICAN RESTAURANT WOULD ASK YOU WHAT MEAT YOU WANT EVEN IF ITS ON THE MENU. I will not return here again.

I have been visiting this restaurant for over ten years and I ALWAYS leave pleased. They are always consistent with their food and service.

I mostly order to go from them and never had any issues. Food is always great. When I sit at the bar the staff is always wonderful.

Dark and dead. Terrible food options and choices. Almost everything was the same. Dim lighting. TERRIBLE SEATS! Roaches...not lying. Playing weird TikTok sounds as music???

Burrito and Guacamole 28.00! No flavor in any of it. I asked for extra Cilantro and Jalapeno in the Guacamole and they charged me 2.00! The men working here are very friendly and the women are the opposite! I felt like an intruder.

I recently dined at this restaurant (11/3/23), and it left much to be desired. The service was subpar; we watched the table next to us receive attention multiple times while we sat unnoticed. Our waitress seemed disinterested and never even glanced over. We received the bare minimum of service, simply what was required in order to be customers at a restaurant (place order, receive order, get check). FOOD - The food fell short, it tasted okay but lacked flavor and beef was dry & chewy. SERVICE - Very slow.. It took nearly 45 minutes from the time we placed our order to finally receiving our food. Initially, when we placed our order, the waitress appeared to be in a hurry and rushed us through it, leading her to have to double-check what we ordered about 20 minutes after. DRINKS - The redeeming quality of our experience was their frozen strawberry margarita, which was surprisingly good. $10 for a small glass. It’s probably a premade mix as there was no bartender present at the bar, but still good. PARKING - Small lot so be prepared to park in the Red Lobster lot next door. If timely service is a priority for you, this might not be the ideal place to visit. Honestly, we received the worst service we have ever had.. just 2 people, no apps/dessert. 2 entrees and 1 marg

Me and my wife went there for the first time. We ordered enchiladas Verdes and chori Pollo. The service was quick, and we had food in our table within 15 minutes. Food quality : Enchiladas were not that tasty. Chickens were just boiled and mostly raw without much seasoning. The cheese quantity was less. So it almost felt like taste less. We will not come again for enchiladas. On the other hand, Chori Pollo was good. Their table menus were really old, and some of the fonts were not visible. Inside atmosphere was good and cozy.

This is my go-to for inexpensive Mexican food. Quality is consistent, and portions are generous. Service is very good. I am vegetarian, and there are multiple vegetarian options.

Authentic. This one of my favorites in Georgia. They have great customer service, and a menu to die for 😋. The fajitas are amazing. Get the 2 for 35 plus a 20 pitcher of margaritas A1 FIVE STARS 💪.

Good food, great service. Friendly staff, bilingual in case anyone needs. Nice atmosphere located near the battery and very interesting and unique decor inside and around the bar area. We put in our orders, and they came out quickly. The food was good and reasonably priced.

Better lighting and music would improve the atmosphere. Rolando is the BEST waiter in the place!

Was super excited to try this spot! The menu looked good and the other reviews seemed on point. We showed up and were seated right away, given some chips and then it took about 15 minutes before a derver came and asked if we had been helped. Sweet girl and when she asked if we were ready,we did ask her to give us just a few more minutes 35 minutes in we were asked our order and 45 we got our drink and here we are an hour later and waiting for our appetizers! Again server was sweet and kind they need to get her more help.

I was craving tacos and came here to dine in. Service here was horrible. The wait staff or the waitress I had in particular was very dismissive. When we were ready to order she interrupted me and was like hold on and just walked away. I had to ask for another waiter to take our order. When the food came I had to get up and look for silverware. Then she was like oh, let me get that for you. When she moved the empty plate from our table, she hit my shoulder with the plate. When it came time to get the check, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes. I can see if it was busy but it wasn’t. She was tending to other people or gossiping with other servers. It was my first time eating here and needless to say, I will not be returning.

Great food and drinks. With the slight language barrier between the server and my partner and I, he became a little agitated when I was asking questions about the menu. Overall, great food and drinks. Our server adjusted his attitude (for the tip), which I’m glad he did because we tip nicely!

Food was mediocre and service was good. Convenient for a quick bite before a Braves game. Cheese dip was $11 and it came out in 2 bowls. I would opt for smaller bowl unless you just love cheese dip.

This has become a regular place for me. Absolutely love it every time. The service is always incredible and the food never disappoints. With Chips, Queso, and Choripollo you can never go wrong.

The chicken and the beef on fajita was very old and smelled bad! We told them they just said sorry and charged the full amount although we didn’t eat any of it at all! Not a good experience at all just paid for food we didn’t eat, and went and had food elsewhere

Does not respect disabled children I was asked to leave because my child was fussy he has autism and is non verbal he is 2 so they packed my food up and told me not to bring my child back to the restaurant they give children one crayon and a piece of paper what is that going to do for a child at least my job at bartaco has a play area for children and better food so if you have a disabled child, please do not choose this restaurant. They are paces of s***

My mom and sister were kicked out during meal cause of her child crying and were forced to pay for the unfinished meal ask for the manager but the server lied and said there isn't one I'm in charge I understand he was a disruption but there is no reason to be rude or at least take off what hasn't been served off the bill extremely rude and unprofessional

My server Nayel was so friendly! She kept my drink full all night and we had a great time getting to know her. On top of that, the food was incredible!! One of the best dining experiences I have had since moving to Atlanta!!

My office is on Herodian Way and this place is far and away our company’s favorite restaurant in the area. Every birthday and work occasion is celebrated with lunch and margaritas here. The food is fabulous and the staff is wonderful. Love love this place!

Fantastic food and speedy lunch service

This restaurant is the best in all the features, food, service and atmosphere. Really you felling in a Old Mexican Restaurant from the past. The customer service it's awesome and the food too, I went here for Valentine's Day and was the perfect option for that. The drinks are good too and they have a excellent parking, just the thing that you could don't agree it's with the small time to wait for a table but all of this worth it with the experience that you recieve here. 🌮
