We went to dinner last night, and were a party of 6 (3 adults and 3 children.) Everything was absolutely delicious! The clam chowder and calamari as appetizers were so yummy! My friend and I had the shrimp scampi which was honestly the best we’ve ever had! My husband got the cod taco bowl which he loved as well! The pasta with marinara kids meal was enjoyed by my youngest, and the kids cheeseburger was also a hit! Our newest fav restaurant!

Local seafood, raw bar, live music on weekends, pizza, outdoor seating. Ive been to this busy restaurant a few times in the off season. Nice relaxed place for a cocktail and a meal. Daily seafood specials.

Everything was Amazing. I had the lobster bisque. It was definitely 1 of my top 5. My husband had the fish and chips and raved about the flavor and the freshness. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

We went in to eat after hours of kayaking. We ordered drinks and almost ordered food. The service was beyond slow so we decided eñto drive back home rather than waste an hour waiting for food

The Brussels sprouts were good but we did not like anything else. The fish & chips were not very fresh. The chicken goyza was okay but too salty and not tasty, the seared ahi tuna & oysters were just okay. IMO

The staff was accommodating and professional. We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before the kitchen opened, but the staff welcomed us (a party of almost 20), seated us, served us water and handed out menus so that when the kitchen opened, we were ready to order. The staff was wonderful, and the food was delicious. The restaurant became busy due to a large soccer tournament being held down the road, but the staff remained calm and welcoming the entire time we were there. It was a sweltering hot day, so when we arrived early, they were happy to seat us inside with air conditioning while they finished preparing to officially open for business. We had several children with us, and the staff was patient and kind throughout our time there. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will certainly be back again!!

Servers know the dishes well, our girl gave a great description of the specials, and our meals were all excellent. The price is very fair for the quality of the food. We got lucky and ended our night with live music. Very welcoming to kids as well. Gluten free was available

Was looking for a place to accommodate my wife's 40th surprise birthday party and Mike was able to accommodate us in their recently renovated "loft". The room was perfect, with our own bar, bartender, waitress and restroom. If you wanted to escape outside, we had our own private lounge area outside, with plenty of patio furniture for everyone to sit and enjoy a dessert cocktail Food wss delicious and we had enough left over for another party. Would highly recommend this venue for your next private party!!

As a local, I’ve been here a couple of times, thought I’d give it another try, terrible food and terrible service. Spend another 20 and go to MOB.

Went here with a group of 6. The food was very good, reasonably priced for what is a bit more of an upscale place. Solid selection of cocktails and beers. We had New England Clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque. The fish trio special was perfect. The salmon was medium rare, the swordfish was juicy and the tuna tartar was fresh. My husband had honey garlic salmon over rice with corn and beans. It was perfectly cooked as well. We shared a bread pudding with lemon drizzle for a refreshing desert.

We recently hosted our daughter's URI grad party while in Charlestown and had The Breachway Grill cater our appetizers and dinner. It was AMAZING. They delivered the food, setup the chaffing dishes and prepared a taco bar with all the trimmings (with the most delicious tortillas)... we added a tray chicken frachese and penned alavodka! Yum!! Honestly, the catering menu had so many options, it was hard to decide... but we felt it was perfect... I'll add that we had their Caesar Salad and an incredible Guacamole appetizer...We worked with Mike who was super helpful especially since we were in NY and planning this all from a distance.... this restaurant is highly recommended whether you dine in or cater... thank you Mike and the Breachway staff for making our party a huge success!!!!

Was looking for fresh oysters and theirs were the best I've had while here on vacation. I had the Shrimp Scampi Linguini and it was incredible. I was worried about the spinach and tomatoes in it but it worked and was quite delightful. My partner had the Baked Cod and it was perfect. No issues with portions or freshness at all it was all wonderful. I felt bad for the waitress though as it did a very long time for us to get our dinners. The poor waitress apologized but we knew it wasn't her fault.

Had the cod fish tacos, they weren't that great. Cod was a little over cooked. I like trying fish tacos at places but this one wasn't for me. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and perfect on spot service. They even had a one piece band that played great music.

We stopped here on a whim for Mother’s Day. It was delicious! The beer battered cod was crisp and fresh, the brioche bun was so soft, my picky kids even loved their food!

We are from CT and were looking for a place to eat, when we ran into some locals. They suggested The Breachway Grill. Upon entering, Anna greeted us at the door with a smile and helped us to the outdoor seating. The environment is very welcoming and comfortable. We got the lobster Rangoon dip, it was phenomenal. Ate the whole thing, then we had the brisket sandwich, Breachway burger and the patty melt. All were delicious. Anna did an amazing job-she was attentive, super nice, and accommodating. Check this spot out and tell Anna we sent you.

First let me say my parents have lived in RI for 30 years and I have never visited this eatery before. Now I’m renting a Abnb close by with my family, and we decided to give this place a try despite some bad reviews that I read here. We visited on a Thursday and the place was very clean, we were welcomed when we walked in and sat immediately. We have fried calamari for an appetizer which was good, I would’ve liked it to be a little less heavily battered but it was good and my family loved it. I had the most amazing black bean burger, and honestly I’m thinking of going back again tonight to get it again, that’s how good it was! My husband said his burger was one of the best burgers he ever has eaten and was perfectly cooked to his liking. The brisket bowl was also very good. Staff was very attentive, and we definitely will go back.

Went for Taco Tuesday and $5 margaritas and was not disappointed at all. I ordered everything on the special Taco Tuesday menu plus 3 margaritas and the bill for myself and another diner was $52 2 fish tacos 1 chicken taco 1 buffalo cauliflower taco Rice and beans Mexican street corn 3 margaritas 2 (to go orders) churros Everything was delicious and frankly, I can't wait to go back. The server did a great job too.

Today March 3, 2024 looking online Fish and Chips is $23 (already high for off season) but if I want chips, I have to add it for an extra $4? So, $27 for Fish and Chips? Is this an error in the online menu? BTW, the MOB price with chips today is 18.95... chips included.

I was there recently for course event that was sponsored by the restaurant. Each course was extraordinarily thought out with wonderful taste bud treats. They also had it paired with wine that was simply lovely. Hands down the lamb lollipops jumped off the plate and happily landed in my mouth! They were pulling that night but our primary server was Marco. Delightful, Prompt and Professional. The atmosphere was n8ce + well renovated. I think for a casual dinner with friends it's perfect. They had a nice bar too. Even though it's a long drive from where we live, We will definitely be back. A yummy go to in Charlestown.

Although the cost has increased across the menu...still the best whole belly clams around!

Went last night for thrifty Thursday menu. As seated was told that one and possibly two of the three entree options were Sold out and there were no substitutions. When discussing allergy options we waited 15-20 minutes to hear our options and were unable to utilize the special menu. The service staff did not show any compassion and did not provide the food that was ordered.

Calamari was delicious, buffalo cauliflower was amazing. The cider was delicious.

The owner Craig makes this place feel like home you want to stay and just hang out the atmosphere here is just like you would find if your going to a friends for dinner, very welcoming and the food is to die for !

Had a great lunch time with my girlfriends here. The host was very friendly and helped us with the suggestions. The Brussel sprouts were really good.

Had the French onion soup and fish sandwich. Both were good. I wish the soup was a little cheaper but I wasn't't paying. The waitress was attentive enough while giving us time to enjoy each other and have a meal.

Visited The Breachway Grill on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch and had a fantastic experience at the bar. Beth, the bartender, was incredibly friendly and attentive. Enjoyed Grey Sail Captain’s Daughters and engaging conversation. The chowder and cod sandwich were impressive; portions were generous. Partner loved the chicken parm, and the fries were delicious. Can’t wait to return, especially for Taco Tuesday – heard it’s a great time!

Lobster roll was amazing! They are open every day which was nice for us to stop while passing through. Friendly service!

Firstly I want to say the food was absolutely great and my negative experience has nothing to do with food. Me and my girlfriend ordered take out. While we waited we decided to each get a drink and asked the host if we could sit at the bar. Since there was no room he had us just sit at a table and brought us our two drinks. After 30 minutes our food gets there with our bill and a “AUTO GRATUITY” of 18% of the whole bill including the food that we had for takeaway. Now I always tip however the server brought us two drinks and our auto tip was more than the two drinks? This was because of the lobster rolls we had however why would I tip someone 25$ when they brought me teo drinks? I’m sorry but that’s too much. When I asked about this nicely the server said it was policy. If that is the case they are charging 18% on all takeout orders which is robbery. I’ve worked as a server for 4 years and never heard of this. If I’m wrong please someone let me know but either this restaurant has a terrible policy or a terrible employee who is charging people extra to get more money.

From the outside this looks like a “hole in the wall”, however this place is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Excellent menu and service.

We had a large reservation for a birthday and they were wonderful. Their food is excellent and various, with GF options.

Great spot right on the corner on the way to the Charlestown breachway! We went last night for dinner and it was a great evening. We did not have a reservation but they seated us in a cozy spot outside. My girlfriend's original drink was a bit bitter to her liking, and our server graciously exhanged it for her for a sweeter one. The food was phenomenal, highly recommend their hot lobster roll!!!

Delicious food & drinks! We ended up each ordering 2 of their delicious cocktails. The Rum Runner was our favorite, smooth & fruity with a slice of orange. Our other favorite was the tuna appetizer, fresh tasting with yummy sauce & scallions. The calamari were good, they were perfectly fried and not rubbery. The patio was a nice place to sit and enjoy the nice evening.

We ended up here by accident, because where we were planning to go was closed. Have passed by many times , but never tried. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and everything we ordered was exceptionally good! I had the calamari app (huge) and crispy brussels sprouts, and husband had fried cod with the " heavenly" mashed potatoes, which lived up to their name. Only wish we had left room for dessert, which sounded great. We'll definitely be back.

First time at the Breachway Grill though we've been coming to Charlestown for a number of years. Superlative all the way around; Marco, our server was friendly and attentive, the mashed potatoes were truly heavenly and the fish was to write home about. We'll be back!

Tried it on the Friday of labor day weekend. Made a 7 30 res for indoors but when we arrived they have live music and it was a little louder than we wanted so we asked for the outdoor patio and they accommodated that. Food was great. Both of us had the Mahi Mahi. Service was really good as well. Waitress was busy but always upbeat and attentive. Would definitely return.

This would be a 1 star review if it wasn’t for that fact that I know how hard it is to find good help. Young kids working here that didn’t even acknowledge us after we sat down for almost 20 minutes. Start to finish with no apps took 90-+ minutes. 2nd Round of drinks almost never showed up. Place wasn’t even that busy. No excuse. Food was decent. Won’t come back though. Ever.

Usually don’t write reviews but was charged for a mixup in ordering and wasn’t told until check was brought. Service was Ok and food was great but if there is a mixup in orders, customers should be made aware immediately and not charged without being told. Unfortunately cannot recommend and will not be coming back

Food was very good, with not a long wait time. Inside was nice dining filled with a great group of staff. Christiana was out waitress and she did an amazing job at showing that she was paying attention to all. Highly recommend!!

Place is solid, if you read between the lines on a lot of the reviews you can tell they’re just the stuck up type complaining about things that are quite minor. Food is really good anytime I’ve been, not the fanciest place but who cares given everything else. Just got the chocolate cake tonight and it was top tier.

The food was SOOOOOO good. I had a special salad and added shrimp, which was a great choice. The waitstaff were so helpful, quick, and pleasant. 10/10 would recommend.

You don’t always get what you pay for. Last night we ordered two hors d’oeuvres from the Breachway Grill. Street corn shrimp and coconut shrimp. The street corn shrimp were nothing like pictured or described in the menu. The were very small probably the next size up from cocktail shrimp. The sauce came on the side. Mediocre at best. The coconut shrimp tasted like what you get at the supermarket, like Mattlaws frozen shrimp. Not what I expected for $32.00.

Food was fine but not fantastic. Service was friendly but slow. Expensive for what we got overall.

The food is pretty good here, only issue is that most of your entrees cost between $25-$35, and the atmosphere is very much a $15-$25 restaurant. At that food price with a dedicated drinks menu I'd expect them to have actual margarita glasses and highball glasses, not use a drinking glass for every drink.

was excited to go here given reviews, left underwhelmed. kitchen slammed (very busy) so took over hour from when we sat down to entrees. server did best -- not her fault kitchen was backed up! two folks at my table said sides were cold when food did arrive. food okay, tad boring TBH. however, atmosphere was *VERY* fun and vibrant! so good, fun ambience. cocktails looked awesome.

The Lobster roll I ordered last night was a complete rip off and caught me off guard, a roll the size of a hot dog bun, and filled with an awful cream sauce . Are you ready $32.00 no one is getting this for lobster rolls in south county, will not go back there again!!!

The food is amazing and the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. Everything I’ve ever had at this restaurant taste amazing, from the tacos to the bowls to the burgers, delicious. Also the most delicious pickled red onions.

Not busy for Father's Day. After a day of fishing in Quonnie, we decided to try Breachway again. Just wish Brussels sprouts weren't so crispy, almost burned but the aioli was delicious. The baked cod was good but too soft and fell apart. A cod should be flaky but this was pure mush. The topping was very good though. And the masked were very good as were the string beans. Guiliana was our waitress who was excellent at taking care of our dining needs. However, it is Rhode Island and I asked for an iced coffee. She was unsure about that and we settled for ginger ales. All in all I would return; however, I may choose something other that scrod (cod).

Ordered the “special” shrimp gumbo. The rice was half cooked, crunchy. Waitress told manager but no comment from him. Waitress gave 10% discount which was nice gesture but meal was disappointing.

Passed through on a road trip through several states. Turned around just to come try it. I got the brisket sandwich, they were very understanding and cautious as I have a shell fish allergy. Was super delicious!!! Would go again if in the area

Once again, another establishment that caters to couples and groups and offers single/solo diners nothing but near-harassment for even attempting to come in with the expectation of being served like anyone else. While I did come in on a fairly busy Friday night tonight- looking just for a bar seat to grab and drink/dinner and watch a friend perform- I was repeatedly sidelined/moved around, especially by one the apparent managers who quite frankly seemed to be irritated that I was even there while patiently trying to wait for a seat to open up. Anyone who still chooses to go to the Breachway Grill can have their overpriced menu/drinks and elitist attitude any day of the week. I vowed never to go back again after a previous, similar experience and certainly will never set foot in there again...

So being out of town.. I always check Trip Adviser… it always stairs me well … so we went early to tha Breachway n was delighted with the 5 star Lobster Bisque n Atlantic Cod… we were gracefully taken care of by Beth and were impressed with all the community events they host n participant with.. It says allot of a place if the local’s ,treats a place like a second home!!! Congrats!!! Hope to be back before we had home!!! Blessings, J n M

I arrived at 6:30 PM on a hopping Sat night--was told the wait was 25 minutes. After a short wait, Michael steered me to the Raw bar, where Doug was in attendance. After the couple to my right told me how good the raw clams were, I decided to try them even though I do not like raw shellfish--and they were good, but not as good as the raw oysters I had later, after the owner insisted I try one. But that is getting ahead of myself. I had the Shrimp pasta with Lobster sauce, and oh my was it good. The Sauvignon Blanc was fair, pricey at $11, but went great with the pasta. It is a happening place, with kind and friendly service.

We had a very enjoyable dinner here and would definitely recommend The Breachway Grill. We originally were seated outside, but the mosquitos were in full swing, and the manager and staff were extremely accommodating us in moving us inside after our family was starting to get bitten. The cod dish was excellent, and our kids loved the pizza. My husband had the fish tacos which were delicious. Our server, Gianna, was very helpful and friendly. Wonderful meal all around!

We recently visited and sat outside. We started with organic margaritas and lobster Rangoon. Followed by the baked cod dinner and I had the mango habanero salmon. Everything was delicious and seasoned perfectly. Our server was prompt and efficient and very friendly. Everything was so good we went back the following night.

Our family came in last night and ordered apps and entrees. We have a wonderful time, the food was quick and fresh, and we enjoyed the tuna special. It was all great, some of the food could have been presented better and some of the people who cleared plates were a bit inexperienced, however everyone, especially our server, Jessie, was very friendly! Jessie was fun and efficient as well as very patient! Recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick and simple seafood or pub dinner! Highly recommend asking for Jessie!

This is the best restaurant in Charlestown. The mgr Mike is a great guy . They menu has great everything and the pizzz really nice NYC style. They have a great rewards program under their brand name Tymark. I highly reccomend sll the Tymark restaurants.

Casual, friendly, noisy, fun. Every town (but especially every beach town) needs a place like this. The food won't knock your socks of, but it's hearty and tasty, Prices won't break the bank and the servers seem to enjoy what they are doing.

The Breachway Grill is a nice venue for drinks or dinner. Located very near the Charlestown beaches and the breachway, it's convenient to and from the beaches. They also deliver to the beach!!! There's music on weekends, plenty of parking.

We are lucky to live in Charlestown and we go to the Breachway quite often. A great bar, wonderful menu, indoor and outdoor seating and friendly staff make this a terrific experience. And the fish tacos are fantastic!
