Came for a work breakfast. We were all happy with the food and service. The food is relatively affordable with great quality!

Unique and delicious breakfast offerings. Good coffee. Excellent service.

Picked up an order of blueberry pancakes to go which were near perfect. The server was very nice as well and had my order ready in less than 5 minutes.

Food was excellent. Waitress fantastic and we got our food really quick, and they of course are always busy. Fresh baked bread the best

We were in town for a concert and stayed just down the road. This is a GREAT breakfast spot. The crepes are delicious and a perfect blend of tart and sweet. The corned beef hash is outstanding too. The chicken and waffles were very tasty and the breakfast club is amazing. Wish we had one near us!

Our extended family of 16 people ate breakfast here. Many of us were visiting from NY, WA, ID, and NM. All of us enjoyed the food and the excellent service. We all hope to eat here again

I don’t usually write reviews but This is my husband and I new spot!! We loved the servers, pricing and most importantly the food!! Everything was really great!! If you like lemon try the lemon pancakes. Great experience we had 4 plates and spent less than $50 awesome experience.

Wednesday 11:30 am and you were very busy. Your staff was very attentive and pleasant, your food was excellent and prices reasonable. Our experience was well above average and I recommend you strongly. Thanks!

We normally love this place, however today was HORRIBLE! I came her to celebrate my birthday only for the service to be a complete let down. From the hostess (who pointed to the table instead of walking us to the table) to the server it was a complete let down. We waited 30 minutes to even place an order then when I finally did I ordered what I always do but noticed it tastes a little different, once I informed the server she was rude saying that it was not instead of apologize and getting a manger. I decided to send the food back and leave due to how bad the service and food was today. If you go here make sure it’s a slow day because they do not work well under pressure.

Be aware! They will not do any substitutions, as a consequence my menu options were extremely limited. You are allowed to remove items of course but the return of value for the meal is not there due to this policy.

Cool place and food was outstanding!! Can’t wait to go back.

We ate here probably 6 times in the past for breakfast always usually good worth the waiite time we got there at 2pm and orderd breakfast it was really bad we orderd biscuits and gravey side of bacon eggs Benedict The bacon was old couldn't chew it think it was from the morning the biscuits were the same couldn't cut it with a knife, eggs Benedict tasted like old muffins and the ham was cold and couldn't chew it the only thing we could eat was the eggs and the gravey I'm not sure if they changed owners but was nothing like last year We would drive 40min and wait to eat I'm not sure I would try them again maybe only before 11am Waitress was nice and place was clean but idk the food was so really bad

Great spot for breakfast. There's a reason why it was busy at 7am. But laid out nicely and well ran. Service was just as good as the food. Will be coming back on next visit to Orion Township. Clean bathrooms lots of parking and outdoor covered patio a real plus. Well done !

Got chicken and waffles Waffle was like elastic and the chicken was like leather. Very bad dish. Slim Jim was reported to be good although they don't have tartar sauce which is a slim Jim staple.

Such a shame that a good restaurant would stoop to allow "up charges" when the menu clearly does not indicate this. My friend and I ordered the Early Bird for $13 which included two eggs, two fruit crepes, and choice of meat. When the bill came, we were both charged an additional $2 because we ordered the triple berry crepes. $2 extra for 2 raspberries, 2 strawberries and 2 blackberries. Buyer Beware!!

Delightful meal... amazing service... beautiful decor... we opted to sample a single strawberry blintz, as pictured and a single slice of the banana bread french toast, so understand they are not full meal plates! ... the chicken, in the chicken and waffles, was seasoned perfectly... our meatlovers skillet had more meat than potatoes!! I topped mine with a side order of hollandaise sauce... Yum... they bake bread in house for toast!! You will be glad you stopped in for breakfast!!

Great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. It also is a beautiful venue inside, when the weather is good, you can sit outside as well. The best options on the menu are the yogurt, parfait, roasted veggie omelette and the Florentine Benedict.

This place is usually a solid 5 stars, but today gets four stars for food. I ordered the big breakfast with three eggs over easy. As you can see in the photo, two were over medium, and one yoke was broken. It's a little disappointing for those who like over easy. The spice seemed to lean heavily to Rosemary on everything, even the potatoes. Still a good stop. We seemed to be seated out of order, but staff explained that they take phone reservations and some people come in and get on the list and go back out to their cars while waiting. We will try to pay more attention on the next visit to verify this.

The only reason I wouldn’t give this restaurant 5 stars all the way around is because they’re not open on Sunday! Food is amazing and service is stellar, however Sunday is the #1 breakfast/brunch day for everyone! I often find myself craving the Bread and Yolk’s delicious food on a Sunday afternoon.

I’ve been coming to the bread and yolk for about 4 years and this is the first time I ever had to send food back. I got the very berry cinnamon rolls, they were super stale, hard and like flavorless (also it used to come with 3 rolls and now it comes with 2 which is kinda wild). My wonderful amazing server Sam who has never been rude handled it beautifully and got me something else. She was very nice about it which I appreciate because sending food back sucks. All the staff here is always nice consistently and I’ve never had a problem. Even when it’s busy the staff is always friendly, respectful and attentive. So shout out to them!

Always about an hour wait and must be present to be seated. Only open until about 2:00pm. They also allow for customization of your menu choices.

I came here last week. I had the same waitress I had last time, I believe her name was Sam. Not friendly, and rude when taking our order both times. The service makes me not want to return.

This is my favorite brunch location in the Metro Detroit area. The inside is super cute and quaint; the food is amazing! I usually get the avocado toast with goat cheese, bacon, and two over easy eggs on top; it is outstanding! I definitely recommend this spot for an awesome brunch menu!

My oatmeal was fantastic. My date's chicken sandwich was flavorless but beautiful. He added salt to no avail.

My wife and I have been coming here on Saturdays for a few weeks now and the place is awesome. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I usually get avocado toast with over easy eggs or the spinach/feta/bacon omelet - both are great. We also occasionally get the cinnamon roll pancakes which are amazing. If your looking for good breakfast/brunch this is your spot!

A truly great bfast and lunch destination. Everything on menu is great. Use reservation option on web site. This is truly a great destination for locals and travelers. Slightly off I 75, but oh so worth it. Great pricing for quality eats!

Tasty, fresh and high quality food. Great service and nice environment. We had avocado toast and chicken salad, they we both absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our brunch, it was worth waiting 20 minutes to get a table, we will definitely come back.

I know The Bread & Yolk has my back when I'm out of breakfast foods and need a quick and delicious, takeout option on my way to the office. Overall, a great breakfast, brunch and lunch option with a fun atmosphere, friendly staff and an excellent menu!

Met my friend there on a Saturday morning and even though the restaurant was super busy, the wait was exactly what was predicted and the atmosphere was not overly noisy. We were able to converse and hear each other just fine. Food was hot and delicious and perfectly prepared. Attentive and efficient wait staff. Will visit again soon.

Ordered the Chicken and Waffles and the Usual. The Usual was good but nothing special. The potatoes were just chucks cooked on a pan without any culinary effort spent. Both servings had a great deal of inedible fry potatoes debris. As for the Chicken and Waffles this plate set the gold standard for awful. 3 small pieces of chicken 2 which were so over cooked I could not cut them. The waffles looked like puffy bread. Since the chicken was visibly over cooked, dark with burn edges, I sent the meal back without tasting the waffles. I then order the Usual and I too was underwhelmed. If I were to come back it would be for the coffee which was excellent.

Always a treat! Staff is friendly and attentive. The potatoes are the best around. We been here often and have never been disappointed.

I met one of my besties here for brunch over the holiday break and it was amazing! I highly recommend the stuffed French toast. The only negative is they don't serve mimosas. Mimosas are a staple with brunch.

Brunch with my bestie and this is our favorite place to go. I had the cinnamon French toast with strawberries, but left off the filling, etc. as I don't like things too sweet. It was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive, but did not make us feel rushed. It is sometimes hard to have a conversation with someone as this place is always packed and the tables are extremely close together. This, and only one ladies restroom are the only things I would change.

If you like espresso and good food, go here!

Finally made it in anf got to try this amazing place. My wife and I loved the food, service and atmosphere but have 1 very serious complaint!! The chairs for the tabled in the middle of the resturant are absolutely horrible!! The booths along the outer wall have wood/padded chairs and the bar/counter has padded high stools. Why did the owners waste the money on the rest of the chairs?? If the bar or outer booths aren't available I will not eat here again. Sorry but if you can't be comfortable then the amazing food really doesn't matter. Let's step it up Bread & Yolk!!

This is my favorite breakfast/brunch place ever! From the portion sizes to the price and the quick, friendly service, we’ve never been disappointed with anything. This restaurant is one of the most consistent places I’ve been and I truly appreciate what they do. My husband and I look forward to going every chance we get.

"Philly cheese steak"...this phrase should make your cholesterol levels quake with delight. I reluctantly left the Philly area about 20 years ago, and have been YEARNING for a good cheesesteak sandwich ever since. In a culinary area utterly devoid of good cheesesteaks, The Bread & Yolk has succeeded beyond my wildest expectations!

Awesome food that is very fast and always fresh. Only reason I took a star off was because it's not a place to go and hang out. I took friends there and we were definitely rushed to eat and get out. There were plenty of open tables and nobody waiting to be sat, but we definitely felt pressure to leave by the waitress.

I used to eat here twice a week, and wait up to a hour to sit. But since the owner quit cooking, the food quality has suffered. And it seems like they're cutting corners. I only am willing to wait 15 minutes for a table now. And only go when my son's in town from college. Because he enjoys the incredible Delight. The fresh squeezed orange juice is still amazing and the service is impeccable.

Breakfast was good, had the lemon and Blueberry pancakes and one of the skillets with all the Meats. Will be back again.

Dang! This place is AMAZING 😍 We came in for a late brunch today. The service was fast and friendly. The stuffed French toast is rich, and tender. The Florentine Benedict is a delight! Their hollandaise sauce is so well balanced. The house potatoes are seasoned well and crispy. Watching the staff work was amazing too. The cooks were clearly having fun with what they were doing, and no one stops moving. Wow. Neurodivergent heads up: as with many diners, it's very loud inside. Ear plugs helped. The lighting is not fluorescent, and is a nice relaxing level.

Food is pretty good and servers are friendly, but the coffee and cappuccinos are absolutely terrible -- they always taste burnt and old (at least 6 different trips of morning reference). Please get new coffee, it's disgusting.

They had a wait when we arrived, but we were sat quickly. The server was attentive. The food came out hit and fast, and was deliscious. I'm not from the area, it's a shame I can't go back whenever I want.

Avocado toast, crepes, french toast, chocolate milk and coffee were all amazing!!

Food is above average. Waitstaff is pleasant enough. The only downside is even with outdoor dining being available the place feels crammed in. Give it a chance, but if you get anxious due to crowds maybe order carryout.
