Going to try this place for the 1st time. Go online to see the menu and realize I'm paying 20 dollars for a 5.5 oz burger patty. It's going to take me 60 dollars to fill up. Omg. Rip off. 4 dollars for an extra patty..... ask for just a bun. Then ask for only the extra patties. Get 3. Ask for the free condiments. Pay 12 dollars to fill up.

OMG. Seriously, it's the best burger I've had. Why? Everything is fresh. Not frozen. Not made 2 weeks ago. Fresh. I'm gluten-free, so I did a lettuce wrap. They have Udis, but I'm glad I went for no bun. All the better to taste the burger. Fries are fresh cut, too. Awesome.

This place is life changing. It was a monumental moment as soon as I took my first bite! I had something along the lines of the huckelberry burger, SO GOOD. Add parm garlic fries and you're set!

This is possibly the best burger I’ve ever had. If I had know how delicious this was going to be, I probably would not have ordered the ThunderBolt spicy burger. My wife enjoyed the veggie burger. The s’mores shake was great as well.

We ate here Monday night, the place was packed and the staff were working their tails off. Andi was our server and she was fantastic!!! We have been here several times and it’s always delicious but Andi put our experience over the top with her fantastic energy and quick service. Our food got to us quickly despite how busy they were and it was delicious as always. If you like huckleberry, get the huckleberry burger! It’s my absolute favorite.

This is a really good burger place. The staff was friendly, service was fast. They have gluten free buns and are very knowledgeable about cross contamination. My server informed me when I ordered the fries that they were in shared fryer. I appreciate restaurants being upfront about what is and what is not gluten free. I had a Hotdog and the chef cut my gluten free burger bun into 4ths for me so it was more like a hot dog bun. I really appreciated this little gesture. Things like that will make me go of my way to come back to restaurants like this one! Thanks for a great experience!

Really good food & friendly fast service!

Well, that was the 3rd strike in for me. I've tried 3 times (well tricked into 2 times) The atmosphere is really nice and filled with nostalgia. The signs and decore is nice. It's very small and very hot, at least in the summer. The food has mixed reviews. My wife like it, but I haven't had a good experience yet. The burgers have always been way overcooked and the fries taste like they have been cooked way too long in old cold grease. I love diner food, but this place wasn't good in my opinion. Once you order you better grab someone if you need a refill because you'll go an entire time without a refill if you're not willing to grab someone. The limeade is very good and I have had the ice cream in the past and that was the only thing I thought tasted good. Make your own opinion on it. If nothing else it will make a decently formed stool sample.

Food was great but as a person of color, I will not be eating here again. Very unwelcoming vibe from multiple workers and patrons the moment I walked in. Immediately noticed it and ordered my food to go. Unfortunate since the food was great!

I wish I had taken some pics! But once my Jim Beam and Coke burger arrived, it was game on! Grabbed it and ate it like there was no meal coming tomorrow. Met the owner Brad, and what a nice guy. Sat and talked to us like family. We are from Missouri, and visited with my inlaws. Great atmosphere with lots of nostalgia on the walls, and great service to match! You gotta go!

Delicious Burgers! We were passing through town and decided to stop for lunch. Glad we did! My husband had the The Best of the Bash. Our son had a plain hamburger with bacon and I had the Jim Beam with a Coke. All the burgers were really juicy & delicious!! Definitely worth the stop!

We stopped in Billings just to eat here. Burgers were fantastic and the Huckleberry goat cheese milkshake was divine - tasted like cheesecake. Warning - the milkshakes are big, we should have shared 2 instead of getting one each, but this pace will not disappoint!

Would have given food 5 stars but we did not like the milkshakes. The hamburgers were incredible! So were the onion rings. The milkshakes were not to our liking as they were sickeningly sweet. We took about 3 swallows of each, went into a sugar coma, and threw the rest away. To us the purchase of these milkshakes were a waste of $15.

If you're in Billings Motana, The Burger Dive is a must stop burger joint. Friendly service and the atmosphere are perfect. Walking in it was relatively quiet, and I can understand why. Everyone has busy eating. I had the Spicy Tuna Burger. Just the right amount of spice, and perfect charred sear. The tuna burger is the best I've had. I must say, the fresh cut fries are great and finish off the duo. Cheers!! 🍻🍔🍟

Visiting Billings Montana for work and found the Best place to grab a burger if you are in Billings. Never had spicy and delicious burgers!!!

The staff is friendly the food is unbelievable and the atmosphere is something you don't see much these days. Do yourself a favor and eat at Burger Dive as soon as possible.

This place is by far my favourite burger joint I've ever been too. The food came out almost immediately and the atmosphere is just incredible you walk in and you go back in time back to the 50's if your in downtown billings definitely check it out it is behind Jake's you don't wanna miss it

You know that scene in THE MENU where Anna Taylor-Joy absolutely destroys Ralph Fiennes over his menu because she just wants a damned decent cheeseburger? Yeah, she learned that by going to The Burger Dive. (Note: I can't actually back that statement up, but I'm sure it's not that far off the mark.) I'm in town, on a business trip, and I ask people, "Where does one get a decent burger?" I don't need a Royale with Cheese, just a solid burger. No less than four different people all tell me, "THE BURGER DIVE!" A'ight, I'm in. Cut to me, standing in line, asking the nice gentleman for a double Blackened Sabbeth Burger. In my head, I had composed a soliloquy about getting a cheeseburger so good it would make the Devil weep for mercy. Out loud, it sounded like, "Me hungry, need burber." (Note: Writers don't do well in public when they are over tired.) Got back to the hotel and I can smell the spices wafting off the burger and fries. I can smell the pungent Bleu Cheese. I can feel the garlic mayonnaise wafting through the TO GO box. My friends... Hear me. This burger was everything it was purported to be. I'm sure the Devil himself is crying because he can't have this burger. Ladies and Gentlemen, there are burger joints... And then there are Burger Joints. This is the latter. Absolute epicness abounds. I shall return when I am not sleep deprived and can form coherent words, such that I may converse with the fine people of The Burger Dive, and let them know how amazing their food is. Until then, please accept this review as my form of gratitude. And I think Anna Taylor-Joy would love it.

Anne was our server was very polite and on top of anything that was needed, great old soul atmosphere inside diner. The fries were perfectly seasoned, didn't need any ketchup for flavor or moisture. I had the thunderbolt burger, great flavor and not too hot if you like jalapenos but with ghost pepper flavor. For drinks they have a great selection of pops, wine and beer.

The retro atmosphere set the vibe. The food was unique and delicious. The service was super fast. We particularly loved the “I’m your huckleberry burger!”

This burger dive IS AMAZING!!!! 😋 So much to choose from, and everything is delicious!!! My son is visiting from California and I can't wait for him to eat here!!! Garlic fries flying by to other tables, just makes your mouth water and more eager for your food to arrive. Sit at the bar and watch everything being cooked, servers are wonderful. It's the perfect spot!!!! It's the only place, I want to bring my son.

Food was good but not worth the hype or the prices. They were out of garlic sauce and only had ranch and chipotle for the onion rings. Staff was friendly though and fairly quick considering they were packed

Best Burger in the Upper Midwest.

I find it hard to believe that any of these burgers won any real “championship”. Came in and ordered 4 Of the highest rated burgers, all patties were overworked and cooked well done to hockey puck consistency. $22 for a burger and fries it had better be good and neither the burger nor the fries were. You can put all the goat cheese and arugula you want on a burger and it won’t mask the lack of basic cookery.

My wife had the veggie patty with huckleberry BBQ sauce, caramelized onions, tomatoes, and a side of onion rings. I had the burger with onions and a side of sweet potato fries. Everything was average and needed more seasoning.

Was recommended this place in Billings. Would not recommend, had the behemoth and it was undercooked. Parmesan fries were overcooked and if I didn’t add ketchup and salt, it wouldn’t even be tolerable. Service was sub par, sat waiting for 15 min before a server came to take my order and didn’t see her again until it was time to pay. Only reason it don’t have a 1 star is that my order was correct.

This is by far the best burger around! And the customer service was excellent! The owner gave great recommendations in the burger and sides! And it’s FRESH!

I thought overall that this place was not worth the hype that the TV show promoted. My burger was delicious and the parmesan garlic fries were on point. However, it was off-putting that our server acted like she was inconvenienced by us being there. The only time she seemed more engaged to me was when I went to tip. It was awkward.

A great spot to find hand pressed, locally sourced, never frozen, sirloin burgers seasoned just right. The restaurant has friendly staff and a nostalgic atmosphere. They serve hand cut fries and hand mixed shakes. An A+ all around, only complaint is terrible parking.

Huckleberry Burger was good as was the behumous burger. However, the french fries were burnt unless this was the way that they normally cook French fries.

I was surprised. Recommended by a friend. One of those places you would not expect good service but the service was super quick and very attentive. Great burgers. Had the Black Sabbath not spicy at all and if you like Blue Cheese, yummy. All liked everything.

30 bucks for a burger and shake + tip, ouch!

We visit Billings a couple times per year as a family, and decided to try out the burger dive after seeing them on Man Vs. Food. The “I’m your huckleberry” burger was every bit as delicious as it looked on TV. Perfect combination of savory and sweet with the huckleberry sauce and goat cheese. I got the garlic Parmesan fries on the side, and they were loaded with fresh bits of garlic and tons of Parmesan cheese. The restaurant itself has a nice cozy diner type motif, and all of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The prices are steep, but definitely worth it for the quality of food and portion sizes. A must try if you’re visiting Billings.

We all really liked the fries. I liked the huckleberry burger but thought it would have a little kick to it and was kinda bummed that there wasn't. But overall it was still a really good burger.

Food was really good. My wife and I both had different burgers and they were delicious. My only deduction of a star is because of the price. 2 adults and 2 kids ended up costing $100 after tip. Still highly recommend if you want a great unique burger and a shake.

We live 140 miles from Billings. Coming to “the Big City” we could have our pick from the innumerable options for dining. My friend wanted to try The Burger Dive. Even the Dr. endorsed the thought - wholeheartedly. I was skeptical but not about to be contrary - so I bit my tongue and agreed. A burger is a burger is a burger, right? Whoa - wrong. WAY wrong. I’m a convert, a disciple and a huge fan. Wow. Just wow. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

Was starving after getting out of the gym, decided to give this place a try. I understand that there was a huge takeout order right in front of us. BUT you should’ve had a cook, cook the in-store customers, and then have the other huge takeout order cooked by the other cook. 30+ minutes for one burger, and one kids burger in inexcusable. No check-in from the waitress, just a simple “sorry this took so long” when our food finally came. No “hey that child’s milkshakes on us,” no “heres a coupon for next time.” Nothing. If I wasn’t starving, I would’ve just left, and the burger was mediocre at best. And so tiny! Also because I was in there for over an hour, I got a parking ticket. Not going back, can’t recommend. I’m just searching for somewhere in Billings that isn’t an expensive letdown.

I loved everything about the Burger Dive. This has all the charm and quirks of an old-fashioned burger joint. My husband and I both had cheeseburgers and fries. He also ordered the most sinful vanilla shake I have tasted in a long time. I only got a sip. Staff is friendly and playful. like eating at a friend's house. The burgers were head and shoulder above most burger places. They were juicy, had a good char, and I think the buns were home-made. The toppings were fresh and wonderful. This was overall a 5-star experience for a much better price.

Tooooo much goat cheese …. Could not taste the burger. Onion rings are greasy - heavy batter and soggy . Garlic fries smelled great but limp …. Really missed the mark. Uber Brew has better burgers……. Beer was cold . 😁

My husband and son love their regular burgers. They also have the best veggie burger ever, which is nice because I sure do miss my meat!! We always get a shake to split. Their fries are my favorite and I hear from hubs that their onion rings don’t suck either.

Good food, slow service, forgotten items we ordered. Overall, I love the food, but, it is pretty dirty. Grease on the floor to the bathroom made walking dangerous! I know this place is an icon,but, it needs to clean up it's act with regards to cleanliness and service

Burger dive used to be good. My suggestion would be to change the frying oil more often. If the oil is brown, change it. The fried food, like fries and onion rings, taste rancid. It's very disappointing when you order food to go and get it home, and it's unedible.
