From the first meeting at the door through dessert, dinner and service were top notched. I did find that the upper floor dining felt like a fishbowl so will be sure to ask for the cellar at the “The Cellar” again. All of our food was served perfectly. My choices were the small plates of appetizers: A special chilled calamari mixed with beans, capers, and arugula. Carpaccio di Manzo - Paper-thin sliced beef served raw with arugula, shaved Parmigiano, fennel, and Balsamic vinaigrette. Avocado con Gamberi e Granchio - Half an avocado filled with shrimp and crab meat salads and a citrus-saffron sauce My husband shared his own choices for appetizer and main course: Peperoni Imbottiti - Home roasted peppers filled with fresh mozzarella cheese and Parma prosciutto, then baked with fresh basil. Duetto Verde e Nero - Giant shrimp and snapper sautéed with green olives, dry black figs and fresh rosemary in a white wine lemon. Desserts were delicious as well: Torta Di Cioccolata - "Almost Flourless", dense, rich, semisweet chocolate tort served slightly warm with chocolate sauce and crème Anglaise. Mousse Di Cioccolata - (rich) Dark chocolate mousse covered in dark chocolate, served with Frangelica whipped cream (a delicious change on the usual mousse.)

Made birthday dinner reservations after having reviewed all of their requirements which included no children under eight and business casual attire no flip-flops, etc. When they called to confirm they called to confirm they left on the message that men had to wear collared shirts, and so I called and said that it had not said that when I was booking it, but that I was pretty certain my son did not own a collared shirt, but that he would be dressed neatly and she's replied. I'll go ahead and cancel your reservation, and I said OK. A little slice of crazy in Daytona Beach. I think they need to update and be very clear. What all of their many requirements are, We did here once 10 years ago and it was OK but not good enough for us to ever come back but on a Tuesday night in Daytona, my husband wanted Italian and our favorite place is not open on Tuesdays so we thought we would give it another try. We ended up having a lovely welcoming experience across the bridge on Seabreeze at Anna’s Trattoria.

We are in the restaurant business and went to The Cellar tonight for our anniversary and could not have been more impressed. The Service, Food and atmosphere was TOP Shelf. This is a Diamond in the rough!

Eat here many times a year. Incredible culinary experience. Wine by the glass has a very good selection. I often get half bottles so we can change with each course. Nothing comes close in the Daytona area.

The Cellar restaurant is an Italian restaurant inside of a historical house in Daytona Beach. The food here is amazing. You can tell the chef and his staff have carefully thought out authentic Italian dishes to serve their guests. This is probably the best Italian restaurant in Daytona Beach. I enjoyed the pheasant and rabbit in a white cream sauce. My wife had the delicious carbonara pasta.

Came here last week, still thinking about how good the food was!! Loved the carbonara pasta, shrimp and crab avocado salad, and veal! Tiramisu was to DIE for. My compliments to Chef Giovanni, he made our food exquisite and accommodated to my boyfriend’s dietary restrictions due to allergies. 10/10!!!

In this world of mediocre food The Cellar is a piece of paradise. Coming from a strong Italian background our motto is "We live to eat". Needless to say most of our meals come from my kitchen. But what a very wonderful surprise it was when my husband and I gave The Cellar a try! My absolute favorite was the Colorado Rack of Ribs!! Done perfectly every time I've ordered them! This meal is not one I would venture to attempt which makes it so much more enjoyable! Great Food, great people, great atmosphere! Highly recommend 😁

A first visit for me . Food presentation and desert presentation are perfectly executed . However, the pasta dishes to me are very small portions, but delicious.Large wine list as well. You get outstanding service by the wait staff. My only issue is nobody smiles or laughs . Everyone is so serious. Maybe because it's an expensive place to dine? I don't think it would offend anyone to smile or laugh. Enjoy life because tomorrow is never promised . We will dine here again and hopefully I see some smiling faces.

This is a small restaurant - about a dozen tables, so the service is very personal - attentive but not intrusive. The food was excellent. I had the snapper with artichoke hearts and a house salad. My husband had veal and a shrimp with pesto appetizer. We were both pleased with our selections. Portion sizes are appropriate. Be prepared to pay what the meal is worth.

The Cellar restaurant is a fine Italian restaurant. I went and had the best Italian food in the whole United States , in my opinion. I started off with prosciutto with melon and pear, the melon was fresh and juicy and I don’t really like pear but that was the best pear in my life. For my main course I had the Colorado rack of lamb,the vegetables were delicious the buttery cheesy potatoes on the side were also really delicious, the sauce was phenomenal and the star of the show the lamb. The lamb was the best lamb I’ve ever had at any restaurant it was soft ,juicy ,tender and the sauce complimented the lamb perfectly. And dessert, I got the chocolate torte it was spectacular the way it melts in your mouth it’s a delight and is also the best dessert I’ve had in my life. And while I was dining Santa came to our table in December and took pictures with me. My total rating is a 5/5 stars.

Love, love, love this place. Food was amazing from the osso buco and fish to the pasta - which transported me to Italy. Affogato and tiramisu were perfect. Hazel, our server, was attentive and friendly. Family is still talking about how delicious all the food was.

Dinner was delicious & reasonable. I had rigatoni with bolognese sauce. The bread was amazing. My son in law said his cappuccino was the best he's ever had. Highly recommend The Cellar!

The Cellar restaurant is a must have for food not just in Daytona, but all of Florida. From the atmosphere to the food, I have never had any sort of issue with the restaurant in my years of coming here. The restaurant is catered towards fine Italian dining, and it shows with their vast selection of wines and menu full of great dishes that you could never go wrong with. The restaurant has a calming and inviting atmosphere, perfect for dates and anniversaries. Their service is also impeccable. Their servers are always attentive and doing their absolute best to ensure a positive experience for you. The food being their specialty is the star of the show. Not once has the quality or flavor ever ceased to be there. Their chefs have passion for what they make and it all shows in the food they make. If you do plan on coming to this restaurant do be aware that they require reservations and have dress code you must follow. Even with this, I cannot recommend The Cellar enough for any occasion as the experience you have is second to none anywhere else.

This restaurant was highly recommended. A woman who said she was the manager was abrupt and short and non-apologetic, cutting us off stating she had a cold and would call us back - never did and when we tried again and stated that this was not the way to welcome people, she told us free country to go elsewhere, wow!!! Sad, let the owners know

Simply one of the best meals I have ever had. Lina and Sam are outstanding professionals that have created something truly special. Anything on the menu is amazing. Wine list is unbelievable. Try it and I’m sure you’ll love it.

Old school real Italian. Setting is beautiful in the basement of Warren G Harding's vacation home. Real china, old school all the way. Food was like being in a great ristorante in Bologna. Only complaint, no dates on the wine list. No Soave was ever meant to be drunk at 10 years old! Just be smarter than me and check the vintage before ordering. The wine list is deep and interesting.

Great food and service. We enjoyed a date night with a bottle of wine, a couple of appetizers, the chef’s special, a pasta and a couple of desserts. Everything was delicious. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was quiet allowing personal conversations at your table. Definitely will return.

I was looking for a romantic restaurant and found one at the Cellar.

The Cellar is deserving of all 5 Stars from our servers and wonderful meals.

My husband went to the Cellar for a quiet date night. The food was incredible, and we loved the atmosphere. The server was attentive without being intrusive. We highly recommend the Cellar for a special evening.

Short version: You go to the Cellar for food, not service or atmosphere. The food is truly the star of the show, from appetizers to desserts - best Italian in the area, end of story!!! Service can be spotty and somewhat awkward. My least favorite - being asked to order the entire meal at once, because I was told “that’s more convenient for the kitchen”. And here I was thinking that guests should be the priority! The interior is dated. It’s a bit like going to a grandparents house, everything is perfectly serviceable, but you’re taking a time machine into the early 90’s. For some this can be endearing, but something to keep in mind.

Was a very nice and quiet anniversary dinner enjoyed it thoroughly. But make sure you have a reservation. Great food and will be back..

Food was truly excellent! We (a party of 10) had all courses offered...each was an appropriate portion and delicious.

Manger was super rude from the meet and greet will never ever go back she made us feel very unwelcome like If she didn’t want us there just horrible customer service literally the waitress apologized to me cause of the manger attitude worst customer service

The cellar is the place to be! Service and atmosphere are amazing and the food is out of this world. Our server, Anne Marie, took great care to make sure we enjoyed our evening. Highly recommend!

Amazing food service and atmosphere!

We were in town for the ACBL bridge tournament. We had dined here before and remembered how great it was. We ended up going two nights in a row. The first night I had the Caprese salad and the mushroom risotto. The caprese was a twist on the normal one. It was built into a tower and included artichokes. My dining companions had the carbonara. The second night I had the seafood special. One person got the Prosciutto for their appetizer. All in all both nights were superb. Fabulous food, great service and wonderful ambiance. It’s so nice to finally go to a beautiful restaurant where everything is perfect and you can talk and hear too! This is a “must go” place if you are visiting Daytona. The locals already know.

As a hospitality industry professional (Chef) for 46 years, my wife and I had one of the best dining experiences since eating out in Daytona. One of my specialties in cooking and eating is Italian cuisine. I commend the family chef and wife owners for a "Wow" great experience as we celebrate our anniversary. We will return. Thank you. 👍🏾

Second year in a row The Cellar made our wedding anniversary celebration a special one. Just go.

This used to be my favorite restaurant. This experience was not what I was hoping for. I regret taking my cousin. The service level has dropped significantly. The appetizers were not at all as delicious as I remember. They lacked flavor. The neighboring table was SO loud. The pasta dishes were average at best. I regret dropping $130 on dinner for two - I will likely not be back after being there three times.

Delicious, even my picky husband enjoyed his meal. The waitress was kind and great at her job. Food was excellent

Wonderful experience. Only issue is that parking is tricky at best, as they have no designated lot. Took several attempts to find a spot on the street. Restaurant is wonderful for that special event you are celebrating.

Every minute was just as we had hoped. We were greeted at the door and always served with a smile and charm from that moment until we we left. It was a fantastic meal wrapped up in a fantastic experience. Most enjoyable! My husband and I had the veal. It was not too heavy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. There was another party in the same room but we didn’t notice them, which added to the ambiance. The Cellar is a great choice for any special occasion or a romantic dinner. This was our second visit and we’ll be back!

Where do you even start?!!! This place is incredible the staff is so attentive and driven to make you feel so comfortable and taken care of. Then you have the food!!!! Just fabulous. A definite gem in Daytona Beach.  From the wine selection, exceptional service, detailed menu and fabulous pastry chef, we have found our new special occasion, (and hopefully more often) restaurant. Loved every minute.

Fabulous place. We loved everything about it. The waitress was super attentive. The chef came out a few times and spoke with us regarding suggestions. Amazing food and wine. Beautiful place and we highly recommend for a nice quiet and intimate evening out with your spouse.

The Cellar is our favorite special celebration restaurant. It is not a place for loud jocularity, but instead provides a dining experience where guests can enjoy a low key evening with delicious food and exceptional service. Their pastas are made there and some of our favorite entrees include the Osso Buco, veal with porcini mushrooms and any of their pasta dishes.

Very high end requirements from the customer ( please come well dressed wear etc , booking deposit) but on their end - Snobbish treatment from the beginning to end. Extreme Slow & Poor service Main entry ( expensive) was a complete disaster - uncooked and practically raw ( despite instructions) Nobody asks or even tries to rectify the mistake In the end the hostess takes it off the bill as if doing some great favor. Total waste of time !

I had the roasted duck breast and the rabbit ragu, they were both wonderful! My boyfriend had Osso Bucco Lamb Shank and he said it was very good too!

This was a great unique experience, a perfect place for a date night. They have a dress code, ask for you not to use your phone and in general to be respectful. We were treated like family and had a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. There is a great wine menu. We truly enjoyed it.

The Cellar is a very intimate, quiet, high end restaurant. Definitely some place you would want to go for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. Adults only, they do not allow kids, so be sure and get a sitter.

We were excited to try the Cellar after hearing so many good things about how authentic the food is. The chef has been there over 20 years as well as his wife who was very friendly and helpful.

This was our first visit to The Cellar and it immediately jumped from not only being our favorite restaurant in Daytona, but one of our favorites anywhere. This is truly a dining experience that very few restaurants practice anymore. The attention to detail in every facet of the experience is exquisite. Do not come here on a diet and if you can afford it, plan to splurge a bit-it’ll be worth it! We ordered a bottle of 2013 Brunello which was wonderful. Beautifully presented and decanted. We started our meal with a sautéed calamari appetizer special that was served over polenta with cherry tomatoes and had a wonderful mint/herb undertone flavors-so fresh tasting! Then we each had 1/2 portions of pasta (they call it ‘primi’ on the menu for a reason), which were perfectly sized-I had the gnocchi bolognese and my husband had the crab w/basil pesto cream sauce-both amazing. For our entree’s I had the veal chop w/roasted shallots and Gorgonzola cream sauce. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. My husband had the ribeye special that was perfectly cooked and equally as delicious! You would think there would be no room for dessert but we wanted to try everything we possibly could so we ordered the chocolate torte and the streusel, both made in house by Carrie, the pastry chef. They were both absolutely delicious. Hazel was our waitress and didn’t miss a beat. She was meticulous in her attention to detail with us while being very pleasant and personable and helpful in her menu suggestions. The owner stopped by our table and we chatted several times. Some of the previous reviews I had read stated they did not feel welcomed-this could not be further from the truth for us. Everyone we talked to, the owner, the pastry chef and our waitress were absolutely delightful. The entire staff at The Cellar has high expectations of themselves and they are methodical in creating the best possible experience for their customers. We cannot wait to come back to this gem!

The Cellar is the place to go for a special occasion. While it is pricey, the quality of the food, the ambiance and the service make it all worth while. I like that reservations are required and that there is a dress code. That separates this fine dining restaurant from the others.

This restaurant was wonderful! There’s a dress code for men including closed toe shoes and collared shirt. The ambience was great as it was quiet and there were only 3 other tables there when we arrived. The wine selection was abundant and my husband had a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon. We ordered an appetizer which was good and received bread with oil. Our main meals were delicious ( I had gnocchi in bolognese sauce and he had the carbonara). Pasta and gnocchi were cooked to perfection. We shared a tiramisu for dessert which was also light and delicious. The service is excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant for its food, wine and ambiance!

We had yet again another magnificent meal at The Cellar. The service is perfect. The food is completely divine. After some perfect appetizers, I had the rack of lamb and my husband had a fish entree. Lina picked out a delicious wine for us. We had three delectable desserts. It's the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Its always a highlight of our Florida vacation.

This historic restaurant was the former winter retreat for US President Warren G. Harding. This is a fantastic restaurant. The food here is extremely well prepared. Service is excellent. Relaxed upscale continental ambiance. Go out of your way to come here.

Everything about this place was exquisite. The service: impeccable. The food: outstanding and authentic. The owner came to our table personally to recommend a wine pairing for all of the random plates we ordered and it fit everything perfectly. My husband even thought the bill would be more than what it was! So of course we tipped generously. A priceless little gem in almost too good for the area it's in! Best dining experience in Daytona Beach! Elegant, menu very diverse, service and food are excellent.

The hostess was not inviting, and it felt as though we were not welcomed. I am not sure if this is because we had people of color in our group or if this is standard practice. The food was good. However, the price is not indicative of the quality of food.

The easiest way to describe our dinner at The Cellar was it was an unforgettable experience. I'm a customer experience fanatic, both my husband and brother regularly prepare five star meals, and all four of us have dined across many countries. I say that not to brag, but to let you know we're more than "kinda picky". Everything we were served was extraordinary. It mat be the first fine dining experience we've ever had where not one of us suggested something could have been changed to make the meal better. Our server had the perfect balance of professionalism, patience, and personality. The pastry chef was approachable and profoundly talented. The space had a nice, authentic vibe. It wasn't snazzy nor was it predictable. It had old school charm. The place is pricy, but well worth the cost for a special occasion.

This place over all just isn’t what you expect. Prices are ridiculous for the amount of food you get. No soup or salad prior to your meal which is crazy seeing how the pricing for meals is out of this world and all they give you is three to four pieces of the smallest slices of bread and some oil for it. The ambiance is uncomfortable and makes you feel like you are being stared at the entire time due to the ten tables they squeeze into the smallest area ever. I felt like I could just reach over and scratch the persons back next to me. Music, well there really wasn’t any, and your personal conversations could be heard all around the place. Food tasted great but for a $32 meal of just noodles sauce a few shrimp and sliced asparagus, it was the size of a cereal bowl that my husband would need like 6 bowls of to be able to feed him until he was full. We came with an appetite and left paying $100 bill after tipping and that was for two meals and one glass of wine. We went to a friends restaurant after due to still being hungry. We won’t be returning but glad to check this off our list. Staff was very polite.

Very rigid, no welcoming and out of touch. The upstairs room is lovely but overall experience was very disappointing, as they don’t make you feel welcome. The pasty chef was very genuine , spontaneous and not scripted.

A FANTASTIC PLACE! I’m from So Fl so I like a really nice Italian restaurant once in awhile but I moved here about 6 years ago and just found out about the Cellar. What a fantastic place for excellent food, the service was fantastic along with the old home. I really love this place and I will absolutely be returning more often.

The very best fine dining restaurant in Volusia County! All the food is prepared to perfection and the pastry chef creates amazing deserts! My favorite, Pappardelle with sausage and rapini! Don’t miss this great dining experience!
