My favorite store in Albany! Absolutely love Cheese Traveler, I tell everyone visiting the city that this place is a must visit. The ladies that work here are wonderful, knowledgeable, and always helpful.

This place is amazing! Full of delicious cheeses, meats, cute merchandise, and yummy unique sweets and drinks. The best part though is that the people that work there are absolutely astounding. They are full of so much knowledge about the cheeses they have and they are incredibly helpful and friendly. And I have found so many new delicious cheeses I love as a result. If I did not live over a thousand miles away I would visit this place daily until I have a chance to try everything they offer.

The lovely woman behind the counter gave great recommendations and allowed us to try some different cheese so that we would know what we were buying. The beer selection is definitely unique. We picked up some Parma ham, multiple types of cheese, dried figs, membrino, and bread. The selection here is amazing! The staff does a great job helping you navigate everything. We will definitely be back.

Wow!!! Just wow!!! The selection of cheese and meats here is simply stunning, but beyond that the owner will tell you about anything things your interested in learning about and has a very deep knowledge of the products on offer. I was putting together a cheese board and charcuterie platter for my students to enjoy while there were presentation during the class. I had planned to set everything up, but without asked she offered to arrange everything on platters for me. Everything was amazing, and I will be going back here as often as I can... Hopefully I can catch one of the legendary Raclette events that I have seen on their social media pages. Regardless, I plan to make this a regular stop when I'm in Albany.

An absolute gem! We stop here whenever we’re in the area. Amazing grilled cheese sandwiches with on-point wine pairings. They even have a GF bread option.

This place is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! The selection is superb, the freshness of their stock, the staff everything is everything you are looking for a neighborhood cheese shop. The cured meats section is nothing so miss either. Prepare to spend at least 30/40 to leave with a full bag but that’s not always the case as it’s all fairly priced. I moved to the area recently and places like this making me feel more than at home. Albany is blessed to have this place!

Great place for cheese and deli cuts to treat yourself occasionally. They also have some yummy spreads and jams as well as honey. They also have vegan salami which is made of figs. Staff is very friendly!

Can’t recommend this place enough. Ordered a charcuterie board over the phone and the woman I spoke to was so kind- she offered me many different options and catered the board to my tastes. She was mindful of the time I needed it by, and overall just very very sweet! The board itself was amazing. Everything was laid out perfectly, labeled, and came with whole jars of jam. I can’t wait to order from here again!!

What a find! They have a wonderful selection of cheeses and charcuterie. They also have a lot of interesting and exotic canned and processed foods. Also very unusual beverages. They have an assortment of really different sandwiches. There was only one table to eat in. I would recommend take out more than eat in. Five of us ate at the table and it was fine. I had the sweet and savory. It’s smoked duck breast with cheese and jam in a panini. It was excellent. Also tried the tomato soup. Tasty with bits of tomato. The staff was very friendly. This was our first time there but we will return. If you love cheese and different sandwiches I suggest you try this place.

I went to the Cheese Traveler specifically to see if I could get some Rogue River blue cheese. I hadn't had it in so long. It was fantastic and made my day. We purchased four different cheeses at different price points and they were all really good. None of it went to waste. We also purchased fresh bread, water crackers and meat. All of it was very good.

My husband I showed up at this store on a bitterly cold Friday evening looking for a hot sandwich to warm us up.
