This was me and my husband's first time in the area and the first time Axe throwing. It was absolutely the best! We had so much fun, and of course I beat him in all of the games! The decor is outstanding and the owner, wow, what a great guy! Thanks for showing us a great time! (He finally got those # 5's lol) Your friends from Maryland ~James and Tiffany

Great place for some fun! Immediately greeted, super friendly atmosphere. It was my son's first-time throwing an axe, he loved it. Instructions were provided for him, which made him feel at ease. We'll definitely be back soon!

We held a 50th Birthday celebration at The Downtown Axe and Matt exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I booked for the private party to the clean up after it was over, he went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect. All of my questions were answered promptly and he took the stress out of everything. Not only will I continue to give them my business, they will be my #1 spot for private events as well!!

great music and great atmosphere

We went on a Friday night for a low key bachelor party and had a great time. Matt was awesome and made us feel welcome; he was a great host to everyone and was super attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out here and it exceeded my expectations! 10 out of 10…wood throw axes here again!

We held a private party there last night and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Matt and his business! He was beyond helpful and made everything go so smoothly down to the drinks and catered food. First time there myself and I will definitely go back. We had an amazing time and it truly was thanks to the people there!

Such a great experience! When we arrived we were the only party there, so instead of having us take the private area the owner gave us a center lane and refunded me half the cost! I am definitely sore today, but it was a great time and I would go again!

My husband and i found this place with a quick Google search. Made a same day reservation. Upon entering we were greeted with a smile and welcoming spirit by Matt! Matt taught us how to throw safely and showed us several different games. We had a blast! Will definitely be back! Great experience here throwing axes and relaxing with some friends. We went here as party of a bachelors party, but will definitely be back. Owner is chill and engaging with some good drink options! Darts are also available if ace throwing isn’t your thing! TVs to watch sports as well.

Matt and Evan are incredible! We came this past weekend as a family during a trying time. Caught some football, threw some axes and drank a lot of beer. The guys working were so helpful and hospitable. Great family friendly atmosphere.

Matt is running a fun bar and a great place to learn axe throwing. Him and Evan worked our large group in at the last minute and had us throwing like truly seasoned amateurs by the end of our two hours. Cold beer, good music, and a great decor really round out this place. We had a great time watching Georgia beat Tennessee and throwing axes at the same time!

I had a great time with the guys from work @ our Thanksgiving party sponsored by Atlanta Hydrovac. The Downtown Axe was a great spot as it was my 1st time throwing the axe. I would definitely visit this place again.

I and group of 20 colleagues enjoyed function up there a few nights ago. We had a blast. Matt was awesome, took the time to show individuals the proper way to throw and was super personable. We will definitely all meet up there again. Everyone should check it out.👍🏼

We booked a one hour slot with Downtown Axe and was very pleased that we was the only ones in the place in the early afternoon hours of a Sunday. It gave us one on one time with the coach to learn what we was doing and as we threw the axes he gave pointers of different throws to try. I learned to throw with the blade of the axe pointing backward while my husband learned to throw underhanded and there were several successful throws. It won't be the last time we join them for this outing - I highly recommend if you've never tried axe throwing - Downtown Axe is the place to go to get your first experience.

Had a blast here with my boyfriend my first time throwing an axe the owner was amazing he was a great teacher in teaching us how to throw them very friendly would definitely come here again also a great selection of beers.

I was in town to visit my adult son in Dallas with another of my adult sons. We walked in were treated like an owners relative... I can't say enough good about the experience. Oh, it's harder than it looks but they will help you out! I will definitely visit again when in the Dallas area.

Matt gave us the VIP Experience! What a clean and cool space to have fun in. Our Bible Study Small Group had a social event there and Matt was our guy - he was so patient and helpful as he showed us instruction, tips and encouragement along the way! I highly recommend!

This was my first time there and it was a birthday surprise.. I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. I loved the design, including the practical designs in the bar stools and the plumbing in the bathroom! the service in accommodations and advice on the range really helped our group have the best time possible!

One of the best axe throwing experiences in the area! The staff are so friendly and interactive. The space is large with 4 throwing lanes (2 targets per lane) & very well maintained. There's a VIP section you can reserve with special throwing games and private seating as well. They have a bar with beer options available and plenty of seating. I'd suggest calling ahead to reserve a time if you're going with a large party since they can get pretty packed on the weekends.

Absolutely love the staff here they are a great group of people. They made our time here wonderful , willing to help and coach us in our way to success! Go see them!

This is a really fun activity if you've not ever tried it. We weren't sure what to expect, and we were met with very friendly service, great atmosphere and a lot of fun! You should really try this during the warmer weather too!

We went for a friend's birthday and had the VIP room with 12 people. Everyone had a great time. The weight of the axes are not overwhelming and they offer various sizes. Matt was excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we all had an unforgettable time. Definitely recommend.

We had a great experience and The Downtown Axe last night. I booked a party of 8 people and the establishment was very accommodating. The atmosphere, the band, and music selection were amazing! The staff, bartender, the instructor were laid back, professional, friendly and very attentive to our group. The prices were reasonable. My family had a great time!! Decided to do something different for a group birthday activity (3 bdays in 1 week). We had never thrown axes before. We were all a little awkward but they gave us some coaching and checked in regularly with tips. It was a fun relaxed atmosphere that we are looking forward to experiencing again.

Matt is an awesome owner. He's both a great person and instructor. He does a good job balancing giving you tips without overdoing it. You can tell he genuinely cares for everyone who comes into his establishment. We will most certainly be coming back.

Phenomenal place. We went on a Thursday night and did not have to wait. We ranged in age from 30 to 70 and everyone had a blast. Half of us never had thrown an ax but thanks to Matt who spent a great deal of time training us on various techniques, we all felt pretty competitive by the time it was over with. Great place for date night, families, guys or ladies night, and for church youth groups. Look forward to going back and appreciate the great care.
