A must-stop spot while in Grand Rapids.

Honestly this place is gas. Been there twice and have been far from let down. Note to reader… get the Mac n cheese bites.

Tasty unique food, definitely things I want to go back and try. Service wasn't that great, even after the rush our server was hard to find to replace a glass with a large crack through it. Got the yahtzee and didn't even get to roll dice.

Incorrectly labeled mac and cheese as vegan on their menu when it isn’t. “*P” indicates that an item can be made vegan. I ordered the mac and cheese “made vegan” on the phone, now find out that only means they add vegan meatloaf to a regular cheese. Seems misleading. So I chose the vegan meatloaf dinner and they were out of mashed potatoes and served it with fries. Both dishes were ~$25 and obviously not worth it

I never thought I'd enjoy a salad this much. They do such a fantastic job and this is exactly what I needed on the warm day we had.

Great service, amazing mac & cheese. If it’s your first time, you’ve got to try it. The electric cheetah has a very fun atmosphere. The menu is hard for me to read with the fun font and funny names they had, but it matches the aesthetic of the establishment well. They change it up multiple times throughout the year, so you can always expect something special if you haven’t been in a while. I did not get the root beer, but the people with me said it was wonderful, everyone enjoyed their food and the server knew the menu up and down. Quick service too. Go here!

We stopped here on a golf trip, and it was perfect! The staff were super friendly and kind (we even had someone apologize for not yet cleaning the bathroom that you couldn't tell it hadn't been cleaned yet). The atmosphere was fun. There's a lot of unique pieces of artwork in this place! The best part was the food. My goodness was it good! My boyfriend and I both got the "It's Not My Brother's Mac" and loved it. Neither of us finished the full bowl because it was so filling and delicious. We also got cookies and cream milkshakes, and my only complaint was I wish it was bigger. Everything was delicious!

I haven’t visited in a long time, but my sister in law and I decided to try it out again. I don’t remember if they take reservations, but we didn’t have one, and we ended up having to wait about 40 minutes for a table, which was expected for a Saturday afternoon. The decor of the restaurant is very entertaining, and so is the menu 🐆 so we had an enjoyable wait. The staff is very friendly and frequently updated everyone with their wait times. When we were sat, I ordered the Not Your Momma’s Iced Tea which was refreshing and tasty, and I honestly don’t remember what my SIL ordered… oops. I still took a pic though- maybe you can figure it out? 😬 I ordered the pick 2 with the grilled cheese and tomato soup. They offer three daily soups that rotate, so you may not always be able to order the tomato soup- also I’m leaving this review a bit late as we visited this spring and it’s now summer- so they may only have that soup seasonally- you’ll want to ask because it was tasty and a bit spicy! SIL ordered the Thai Town salad and fries- which I dipped into my soup and Pa-pow! Amazing 🤩. She loved the salad and the cilantro really set the flavors nicely. Overall, this is a really kitschy place with a nice atmosphere, lots of veggie and vegan options, and interesting cocktails. I’ll be back!

If macaroni and cheese was mecca, this is your spot. Buddy had macaroni and cheese with spicy fried chicken. It was quite tasty. I had the meatloaf dinner, whilst all the food on the plate is pleasing, playing around with combinations is what elevates it to another level. Good cocktail list, good beer selection.

Food is very good, service aswell, be warned the portions are ginormous and you most likely will not eat it all, would like to see some half size portions for all of the pastas as it was about $20 a dish, mostly due to size i’m sure. Would definitely recommend but it’s definitely pricey for the type of food

Fun eclectic bistro for melted gooey cheese lovers. Great southern style fried chicken and coleslaw on a nicely toasted and delicious bun with artful presentation. Our server was excellent in exceeding our expectations.

Awesome unique place with some great food

Really cool eclectic restaurant with a good variety of options including veggie and vegan. It's small enough to feel homey and know that the food you're getting is cooked fresh, but not too small that you feel crowded. Amazing soup of the day options, and a whole list of different root beers including a house made root beer on tap! The portions were so generous, def enough for leftovers and the Mac and cheese (with chicken added) and Mojo sandwich were delicious!

Food is bussin’, back of house should be so damn proud. The draft root beer is mid, because it’s nitro, it has very little fizz at all, but the flavor is good. The wall of weird paintings 🖼️ is hilarious, and definitely appreciated.

Always tasty. Sweet potato fries with sauce caddy and Caesar salad are favorites!

Get out of your comfort zone with some awesome dishes! We tried the Mojo one and grilled cheese smashburger. They were great! A little excessive on the onions for my preference, but if you enjoy them, eat em all. Also had the monster cookie. It was yummy. Definitely get the ice cream with it.

Hello there, placed to go order and went too pick up and nothing ready like order was never taken!! Actually no denying it,was never placed even though it took 13 minutes on phone to place.And over a hundred bucks!!! Tried to be understanding as possible as standing around waiting. But management seems non existent!! Staffing said management very busy with her personal life!!! Best part as we take our carryout home not thinking twice after messed up already, our order was so far wrong ,I could not make up any more excuses for these guys. So here I am and no longer waiting for food or that was wrong as well. We're very easy going but this experience was completely adolescent!! Terrific variety on the menu and it's good! The Reuben sandwich and fries were great. The service and atmosphere are also above the average of what you would get at a franchise restaurant. Definitely put this on your list of restaurants to try.

Used to come here all the time in college and haven't been here in years but so glad to have come back. All their stuff is so good and despite them not having as many rootbeer options as they used to, they still have quite a few which I always enjoy trying.

We went here specifically for the vegan options. I got a black bean burger and my husband got the vegan meatloaf. Expensive but really good. Black bean burger was messy but delicious and my husband raved about the meatloaf. Service was terrific.

Great food, huge portions and very cool artwork

Went to dinner with 5 others. We really enjoyed the pasta and root beer. I would suggest getting the half portion of pasta if possible because its a ton of food. Not 5 stars because the service wasn't great in that it was fairly obvious he was trying to flip the table.

The food here is great and the staff are nice. It does cost a little more but the serving sizes are large and you will have t meals.

Food 10/10 Service 9.5/10 If we didn't live so far, we'd be in here all the time. The best cheesecurds we have EVER had. The bathroom was also super cool, plenty to read.

So yummy! Stopped in for lunch during a recent GR trip, fast and friendly service. Cheese curds were delicious, Caesar salad was even more delicious. They were out of their house root beer, but had tons of others to choose from. Will be back!

Massive portions. Specializes in mac and cheese, but have sandwiches, salads, etc. I'd recommend you buy items and split them...if two of you, buy one you both might like and divide it. Very good food.

This is a wonderful gem! They offer great home comfort food with an unexpected twist. The Mac and Cheese (doesn’t matter the kind) is always my go to! They have a wide variety of root beer, and offer even their own root beer (really neat and different). This is one of the few restaurants I recommend to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to grab some food or to try something new.

I’m always so conflicted about this place. Maybe some of the best food in Gr but what is with the service at this place recently! I went in with a group of 5 last night at 6 o’clock (on a Sunday), I expected a wait because I know they don’t do well with larger parties being such a small place especially at 6pm. Waited for about ~20ish minutes, and ordered about 5 minutes later. The waiter almost walked away from the table without taking the last persons order. We ordered 2 apps for the table that took over half an hour to get to us. In this time literally all but 2 other tables had cleared out from the restaurant and the other 2 tables were a 2 top and a 3 top, that had all already gotten there meals. There was no other party waiting on food in the whole restaurant at this point. I saw there were still a few tickets in the window (must have been employees food or to-gos). From the time we ordered our food to the time our main entrees got to the table was 50 mins+. I get we were a 5 top and it may take a little longer but nearly an hour is pretty ridiculous. The waiter never came and apologized for the wait, never came to fill our waters and only gave us a refill on drinks when we got our food. I’ve waited longer elsewhere where I’ve been pleased with the service just because the servers were helpful and communicative. As someone who has worked in this industry most of my adult life, I get there’s mistakes that slow things down and I’m glad the food turned out spectacular, just communicate with your patrons! Also really disrespectful to go eyeing up how much we tipped before we even made it 10 feet from the table. Bad server etiquette especially for how much you pay to eat there, 70$ tab for 2 people in the group who had 1 drink, 2 apps, 2 entrees and no modifications or addons. TLDR: amazing food, long wait, terrible server etiquette.

Truthfully, I had a very frustrating experience trying to order pick-up from this restaurant this evening. I was recently given a few gift cards to Electric Cheetah and figured I would order pick-up and enjoy a caesar salad with grilled chicken. I attempted to use their online ordering website but, unfortunately, it requires a credit card with no place to enter a gift card number. I called the establishment and the gentleman who answered the phone promptly informed me that all pick-up orders had to be placed through their website. When I explained the situation he stated that patrons could only make use of restaurant gift cards in person. Does this not seem asinine? I cordially asked him to go check with the manager and he returned only to let me know that it was, in fact, true: all gift cards must be used in person! Anyways, I would highly recommend that you stay away from this joint for gift giving.

We came in for lunch and it was so good! The portions are huge, we took leftovers home. The gluten free bread for the grilled cheese was an extra $2, but it was surprisingly good bread! It didn’t fall apart and it was nice and well toasted. The on tap root beer was also good.

Great place for a meet up with friends for lunch.

Food was great, except the fries. I had the Rueben Gonzalez and my wife had a smash burger. The fries were soggy and drenched in oil. Not crispy at all. The home made ranch sauce to dip them in, made the fries tolerable. Pistachio cheesecake was good also. My kids cheeseburgers seemed like they were cut in half and served as separate meals. My son thought I ate his other half when he was in the bathroom lol. All in all, highly recommend this place. Next time I got to try their Mac and cheese bowls.

Great place for a quick bite. The service was fantastic. I had the pick three combo and the Mushroom soup was the best thing of the three. I will get two ladles of that next time. The Ruben was okay. The bread to meat ratio was bread heavy. I did like that they had anchovies for a protein choice for the Caesar salad.

My wife and I stopped in for a bev and some apps! I had the blood orange jalepeno marg and she had a cocktail with their homemade root beer…so good!! We had the hot goat cheese dip, cheese curds, and the fries with the sauce caddy. Everything was so delicious we can’t wait to go back and try more of the goods.

The food was good. I really liked the spinach goat cheese dip. I did get fries 🍟 as well but it's more like thin potato ribbons, which is fine. Asked the waiter for ketchup, she never brought it to us. My boyfriend got a cocktail drink and tea. I had water and we both ordered salads. Bill was $70.

We had the house mac with a side of fried chicken, the Yahtzee! Sandwich, burgers, and the Thai Town. The Thai Town was single highhandedly the worst meal I've had in a while. Not to mention that all items were overpriced. Overall ambience and service was ok.

The Electric Cheetah is a great little place. I went there a little while ago and had great service and good food. I had the Yahtzee Sandwich which had you roll some dice to see if you can win a free sandwich. It's neat and fun. Unfortunately, I did not win. But I did have a great time and some pretty good vegan food.

Very friendly informative staff. The decor is phenomenal!! Love it! By the way. GREAT FOOD!

Update: RESTAURANT NOW CLOSED! This was a great place for exceptional food and excellent service! Perfect if you have kids and if they love cats this place is a bonus! As of 4/29/19 I am updating my review! PLEASE READ IF YOU HAVE A LARGE FAMILY OR NEED ANY SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS! We have a large family of 8 and in the past we have had no issues of being sat down to eat. The past two times we have driven 35 minutes to go here to eat and have been TURNED AWAY!!! Since we were turned away the first time we were told and noticed that they have a new seating arrangement to seat more people. How is this true if we are turned away? Also, I am legally blind and when I visited the last two times and was turned away I had to use the bathroom and there simply is no room to navigate in between the tables without bumping into someone. How is this safe for someone with low vision like me? I am saddened by the new turn of events because this was a place the adults AND the children liked to visit. And at a min of a $150 bill every time we came it makes me upset to think this business is missing out on extra cash and an updated Medicare review. 😥

WOW! This is the best food I’ve had since moving to Michigan 2 years ago (and we are foodies, so we’ve tried a lot) we got the “not your brothers Mac” and the spicy chicken sandwich (that has cheese curds and spicy slaw) and rounded it out with the cookie butter shake. Even if I tried, I couldn’t find a SINGLE THING wrong with any aspect of these dishes. 11/10. Not to mention- the service and ambience were just perfect for a late lunch date. Looking forward to the next excuse to go to GR so that we can stop here.

I recently visited a restaurant that truly embodies the essence of a perfect dining experience. Rarely do I give full 5-star ratings, but this place undeniably deserves it. From the moment we stepped in, we were embraced like family. Despite the bustling crowd, the two servers efficiently managed the entire restaurant, taking orders and delivering food promptly. The menu boasted an array of delectable dishes, and we opted for the "I'm Not My Brother's Mac" with an extra serving of fried chicken. The portion size was incredibly generous, and the flavors were nothing short of amazing. The chicken was perfectly juicy, encased in flavorful breading, and the provolone cheese-covered Mac n’ cheese was simply divine. To complement our meal, we chose the house root beer, which was a delightful choice. My only regret is that they don’t offer it in bottles for us to enjoy at home – I would have gladly stocked up for a year! Beyond the culinary delights, the restaurant's interior was equally impressive. The decor was tastefully hip, featuring charming wallpaper that added to the overall character of the place. As a pleasant surprise, we were even gifted a complimentary root beer of our choice, enhancing our already delightful lunch experience. We stopped here while in town for a wedding and the food and service are phenomenal. Richard was friendly and engaging and helped us select items for an incredible meal.

Bright, unique atmosphere, wonderful staff, amazingly constructed dishes, and an entire menu of root beer! Just reading the menu is fun, with dish names like Tegan the Skanky Vegan or The Cuban Missile Crisis. We loved getting to try what the others at our table got too, because everything looked so good! Be sure to try their house root beer. I’m not even that into root beer, but it was incredible and worth a taste! Plus, you can upgrade any root beer selection to a float for $3. Definitely a great place whether for a casual lunch or a night out!

Alittle pricey but the food is good

Very good food, prepared and provided in very interesting way. Good combination of different tastes. My main dish was the Walleye, so tasty and fresh. In addition the fried sprouts filled up my belly. Grapefruit juice was the last step for me. The interior of the restaurant kept in nice style. I recommend this place. RomanP

Brought friends, they loved the unique decor, menu options & names and wallpapered bathrooms. I had the club tickle sandwich and chicken rice soup - super delicious ! Pay for parking in street or free behind in lot.

Food was great! Two of my party had the Cuban Missile Crisis and said it was the best cuban they had ever had. Richard was a well versed and attentive server! We will be back!

Simply amazing… I have been here three times in a year and a half when i travel to GR and the food is just always off the charts tasty. Great people, service, good music and their its not my brother chicken sandwich is one of the best chicken club type sandwiches I have ever had.
