My husband and I were married here and for our anniversary, had the absolute pleasure for staying in the cabin. What a wonderful, cozy place to stay. Beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home and amazing views and wildlife. Emma and Phil outdid themselves, as well as their staff; we not only had a wonderful brunch that they ensured we could still have even though our plane was delayed, to the fabulous anniversary dinner. The food and service were superb and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the Greenbriar Inn; we will be back!

Romantic spot that aims high and falls short. The room we sat in was whisper-quiet making conversation public and awkward. They were out of their most popular appetizer but didn't mention it until we ordered. We asked for drinks with our food. They arrived 15 minutes in to a long wait for food. My wine glass was dirty and had debris from other drinks in it. They brought me another and I still fished out a couple bits from the bar. My steak was unsalted and cooked well below the temperature I requested. Lastly, the entree they brought me was not as described in the menu. Overall, an ambitious concept that lacks execution.

I have been coming here for 12+ years. The owner is wonderfully attentive. The food has got better, and the location and atmosphere is perfect for special occasions and guests coming to town. However, today is the second brunch in two weeks where I have waited over an hour to get any food. This was exercerbated by our server going missing in action for more than 50mins. In fact they never came back, and they had to find another server to jump in and help. We only got our food after I went inside to find our server, and spoke to the manager of the day. When food arrived, it was not as ordered. Not a great experience for a special father's day organized by my family. Manager offered a free desert or drink, but does not really make up for how this impacts what should be a really enjoyable experience. Correction: Manager took off desert and one entree. This is appreciated but would love to not need this. If only the service was better, I would provide a 4+ stars.

I attended a wedding here and it was a great venue. The food was excellent, and the staff took amazing care of the group. The bartender, Don, was excellent all night and had to be one of the genuinely nicest people I’ve come in contact with recently. If any drink was going to take more than a minute or so to get, he’d insist on us sitting down and either him or another server would drop it off. He seems like one of those people who’s good attitude rubs off on the people around him, whether they are co-workers or customers. I say that because the whole team did a great job and all seemed to enjoy working together, but doing it that well consistently has to come from somewhere. All around would highly recommended this place as the staff and food were absolutely incredible, especially for a decent size wedding.

Been here since I can remember. We came for a wedding and we all drink, and it appeared that they had regular customers for dinner, and at least another party going at the same time. Beautiful place, but for a party (reception) the bar service was clearly overwhelmed.

We were married here in 2013 and went back here for Sunday Brunch for our 11th anniversary and it didn’t disappoint one bit. From the lovely, cozy location to the attentive staff and the spectacular food - everything was perfect. Our wedding is one of our most precious memories - the Greenbriar was such an amazing place to host our special day, and knowing we can continue enjoying the locale, the food, and the delightful people here for special memories is always such a treat.

We did go the night before CU Boulder graduation so it was busy. However, service was extremely SLOW with long waits after being seated. We didn’t finish until after 9:30 pm after getting seated at 7pm and it had to do with the service and not us eating slow. If we weren’t so distracted by talking with family we hadn’t seen in awhile I would have been much more impatient. Three of my family were very excited to have the beef Wellington and were a mix of “Meh” to disappointment and wish they had ordered something else. Wife says she had had better elsewhere. Steaks were average. Nobody is going to remember their food. We did spend over $800 for 6 of us and I can’t say I’d ever want to go here again for the price. I did take a prom date here decades ago and I remember it being only OK then and hoped I might have a better experience this time. Certainly a lovely and nice atmosphere, but can’t recommend without lots of caveats.

Once I realized that this restaurant is more of a banquet place, I lowered my expectations accordingly. Service was friendly but slow, it was CU graduation week. The white wine was warm and it took a bit of an argument to convince management to replace it with something else. The Beef Wellington was excellent, but other entrees were disappointing for what you're paying. Still, we enjoyed the meal and the surroundings.

Unfortunately the place was a disaster. The he service was extremely slow, nice but horribly slow. The food was next level bad for $58 the beef Wellington was completely flavorless and the steak was cold. Everyone at the table had cold food which was confusing because it took so long to get it. The steak was cooked well but was lukewarm at best and for the price it simply is wrong to serve cold food. Even the bernaise sauce was cold. For $1200 for 8 people this place should have been much better. It’s also a very outdated place like an old cabin from the 1960s that needs a little bit of care because it gives off a vibe that again doesn’t match the service and food. It gets a lot of good reviews so maybe this was a bad night but it was certainly a bad night

Graduation dinner 2024~we have a lovey server Kristan who was attentive to get started. My son daughter ( CU graduate) and husband celebrated. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, Agnolotti ( wild meat) Arancini and scallop( one per serving). I had the Agnolotti and thought it was a bit gamey, the Arancini was delicious. For our mains- I had the orange duck which was tender and good but would have like a crispier skin. The Wagu was good tasty at Med rare and the Wellington my son had was solid. The meat was tender and he enjoyed it. The seasonal salad my husband had was tasty and enjoyed it with hazelnuts. You must finish with the Entreme~ beautiful chocolate ganache cake…. Yum .We also enjoyed a bottle of wine and a celebratory glass of Prosecco. The staff and Maitre d was welcoming and hospitable . We loved the ambience and was not rushed . We also ran a bit late with our reservations but they were accommodating. A class act ❤️ we would return when back in Boulder❤️💕

These people absolutely ruined a graduation/birthday celebration. The food took 90 minutes to arrive -- cold. They also neglected to bring one of the entrees, but hey the food was cold anyway so we waited a bit more. Mussels should not be eaten cold, I asked them to take them away and remove it from the bill. Instead, they microwaved it, brought back the same plate (one mussel had already been eaten) and reduced the bill by 50%. Don't waste your money on this place, particularly if you have a larger party. Even though they are charging $40-$60 for an entree, they don't hire enough wait staff to get the food to the table without it being a cold, congealing mess.

Our easter brunch at the Greenbriar was fantastic! We were late to make a reservation, and the only time available was 15 minutes before the buffer was supposed to wrap up, which initially made me a touch nervous. The concern was entirely misplaced, as it was a fantastic experience. The food was great, and the atmosphere friendly and relaxing. Our server - Brandon Smith - took excellent care of us. The Greenbrier is from a different era, a bit of a throwback if you will... Food is very good if somewhat pricey, locally sourced in most cases, and is a traditional place that makes you feel special. I particularly like the pub atmosphere by the bar the best, but that's me! And if you're into brunch it's probably one of the more extravagant ones in the area.

The restaurant is very clean, you can tell that management pays attention to details. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was delicious. Manu is not large which makes ingredients of each dish blossom. Definitely will be back, it was worth the drive. Cottage: Wow!!! Beautiful little cozy cottage. Restoration was done beautifully. Will fit 4 people comfortably. It had everything you need and more. Full kitchen with a beautiful stove. Everything was so clean, I am impressed. In the summer time this will be even better. disappointing. we like the classics and this place is special but the entrees were disappointing. both the wellington and lamb came out raw. we had to send back. then when i got my wellington back it was overdone and the sauce was baked on to the plate. unacceptable but. ate it because i was so hungry. my husbands one piece of lamb was cooked again but the other piece was raw and couldn’t be eaten so he left it. the lamb was take. off our bill, but the beef should have been too. the dessert was lovely and made up slightly for the entrees. but it left us thinking we should find a better spot for our special nights out. this was our anniversary and left us feeling subpar. we asked for espresso and it just was served as an espresso cup on the table no saucer or sugar. maybe this was an off night but we didn’t want to feel that on this special night of ours.

ONLY issue was that my husband's Fillet/beef wasn't quite cooked properly, had to send it back for more cooking.... NOT a huge deal at all, but poor guy, this sort of thing always always happens to him, no matter where he eats. Having that not happen last night would have made the evening absolutely perfect. It doesn't feel like a restaurant, it feels like a classic Colorado dining experience, one in a hundred that you are glad you found. A special event that I also want to come back to for more casual dining opportunities. From the moment you walk in, it is clearly unique; warm, friendly and inviting. The decore is old school Colorado elegant. The Service (I'm talking to you Brandon) was beyond excellent, it was fun. We felt special when Phil, the long time owner of the establishment dropped by our table to welcome us. We want to tell our friends from Washington D.C. about it because it is the Colorado experience that even they would enjoy. We've dined before at the Green Briar but this was a top notch experience, given the time of year. The holiday decor added to the ambience to make it cozy and festive and the overall experience felt like an event rather than just another night out at a restaurant. The front desk staff who greeted us and bid us goodnight were warm and friendly. The service was outstanding. The noise level would have been reasonable (never remove the carpet that helps baffle the sound) had it not been for a table immediately behind us. It only put a slight damper on the evening. One comment/complaint: I"m surprised that such a high-end restaurant serves water with ice in the month of December. Better to do like the Europeans and provide a glass of ice and spoon so that patrons can decide for themselves if they want ice.

Celebrated our Anniversary and it did not disappoint. The Food, drinks and experience was exceptional! Our server Owen was exceptional, with wonderful recommendations as well as providing a seamless dining experience. We started our evening with some champagne to celebrate our anniversary followed by some cocktails. The Pomegranate persimmon and the Empress greyhound cocktails were delightful. For our meal we begin with the sea scallop and escargot. The Seas Scallop was perfectly cooked and was delightful with the flavors of plum, squash and pumpkin. The escargot was a wonderful punch of butter, garlic the accompanied the texture of the escargot. Our entrees were then the pistachio sea scallops and the Beef Wellington. If the starter of the sea scallop was fantastic, the main was out of this world. Again perfectly cooked scallop with a wonderful risotto. The puff pastry on the Wellington was a sweet soft compliment of the savory beef. The vegetables were a nice accompaniment. We ended our night with the Chocolate mousse dome. A delightful end to our evening , it pushed the line of chocolate decadence and had a playful aire with the chocolate Feuilletine, which added a nice fizzing/popping sensation. We look forward to coming again whether for a celebration, date night or simply to treat ourselves to wonderful night.

Greenbriar is a cozy restaurant. Likely a tradition for many families on Thanksgiving. Though we enjoyed our Thanksgiving buffet here, the food quality did not justify the cost and overall experience. We did not realize we reserved the last seating and how that would impact the condition of the buffet and the quality of the food. We expected a fine dining experience. The stuffing was overcooked, the risotto cold and congealed, the turkey dry, the salmon overcooked. The buffet tables were messy, and the serving ware clumped with old food. The bisque was cold and the cocktails too weak. Our server however was fantastic. The whole staff appeared to be hard working and I thank them. It simply did not seem as special as we had hoped and that’s mostly due to the messy buffet with tired food. Our table was in a high traffic spot as well, not good. The shouting drunk in the bar near the entry was also in poor taste. I had hoped it would be the start of a new Thanksgiving tradition for us, but I don’t think so. If you choose to try it, go to the first or an early seating and hope for a table out of the traffic flow. We still had a nice time being together. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This was our Thanksgiving dinner. While food was good almost everyone said their food was cold or luke warm. Disappointing considering the cost.

Food was excellent with beautiful preparation. Service also very good and on a very busy night. It is expensive but well worth it for a special occasion.

We selected the Greenbriar to celebrate my parents' 50th Anniversary. My husband knew of the Greenbriar's reputation for celebrations and special events from his time as a student at CU. The Greenbriar lived up to all expectations! The food was truly exceptional; the service outstanding! The meal was paced beautifully and allowed us to enjoy the evening as it was intended. We enjoyed the balcony view and the warmth of the stone fireplace. Thank you to the Greenbriar and its staff for making the evening so memorable!

Loved the brunch menu. Great selection and prices were quite reasonable. Service was quite good despite a full house of customers.

I've been to the Greenbriar many times over the years, usually to celebrate an event. This was the first time that I and my guests were dissapointed. Service was OK, but a bit disorganized. Meats were prepared too raw. Soup portion was minuscule. I will write this off as a bad night, because it is usually very good.

Our cooked brunch entrées were hot, imaginative and tasty. The dessert was a little disappointing as it was dry and a bit tasteless. Service was excellent!

The service was great but the food was not. I’ve been there for dinner many time and the food was outstanding but I honestly was not impressed with the Brunch. I’ve never sent my food back before but I had to send mine back because it was cold. Second time they brought it, it was still cold. I will definitely go back for dinner service but will not go back for brunch.

Excellent service. The manager was very helpful with our friend who is disabled and offered to let him leave by a special exit. The food was excellent especially the traditional eggs benedict. And the sun room was a perfect setting for our brunch.

This is our third time visiting and our first for brunch. The food is ALWAYS amazing. It's absolutely the best overall in Longmont and, so far, the best we've had in Boulder as well. I do wish is for a little bit faster service at dinner. I don't believe the slowness is because of server quality. I believe they are trying to go for some sort of upscale/dinner as an event sort of mood. I appreciate that, but a little faster would be great. Also, ADA accommodations would be helpful - handicap parking spots up front and seating mobility impaired customers in the dining room that doesn't require stairs to reach (as well as a restroom that can be reached without going down stairs). Make no mistake - the food here is good enough for me to brave the stairs and the lengthy walk through the parking lot. However, some accommodations would make the experience even better.
