Delicious Greek food. It’s been a while since I’ve had Greek food this tasty

So glad I finally stopped in today on a whim! The food was very fresh and clean tasting. Pretty much what I expected for Greek food, but was surprised to find in a more casual setting than my usual greek restaurants. Plentiful portions, great staff. Food is prepared to order and you can order ahead if you don't want to wait. This place will be part of my regular rounds! UPDATE today's visit almost a year later was well. Worth reviewing again. I took a young friend of mine who had never had Greek food and has challenges with food, texture and such. Once again, the amazing staff knocked it out of the park! The food was fresh and delicious! The wonderful person who took my order and handled the cash exchange was patient with me when I was distracted and kept giving her the wrong amount of money! ( My check engine light had just come on in my car, and my mind was whirling about how to deal with it and what it could be.). My friend loved the food and was excited to have healthier options close to home! It was a great lunch for both of us! Love love love this location!

After a long day all a deputy wants after their 12 hour shift is to enjoy a meal , we always come here and this is the first time we were treated with pettiness by their manager -an early 30s African American named Ash H at the hungry greek zephyrhills location.From the beginning of taking our order to the very end . I just hope she treats her employees and other customers with respect .

Excellent little spot to grab a Gyro. The Gyro was HUGE and very tasty. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. Would certainly eat here again. Sorry for the pic of a 1/2 eaten gyro, but it is so good, I had to post immediately.

First time here with our family. It was very good!

I normally go to the Wesley chapel location or Odessa. I was at my mom’s home who lives directly next door, so I decided to get her a meal w my niece because Mom just got out of the hospital. The person who answered the phone said 20-30 min. So I came 25 min later. I should have come in 10 min as the location was dead and the food was totally cold, 2 combo gyros smaller that I have ever seen it was half the size of the other locations I frequently go to. Salads were as expected so no issue. I am just disappointed the warm meals were cold n old. If you know you are dead and it’s 6:30 Monday night you should know how quick it takes to make 2 gyros and a steak kabob. My take out was over $70 and I feel like I got a cold hospital meal. I say this because my mom was in hospital past 2 weeks and I wanted to treat her to a nice fresh meal. Very Disappointed. It must be the location. The Wesley Chapel and Odessa locations have always been spot on and never had a complaint. I have been going to HG Wesley Chapel close to 10yrs, close to 5yrs at the Odessa location since they opened. Zephyrhills needs some work for sure. .

Brianna was great and, she made me one of the best meals I've had in Zephyrhills. The place was clean and, the prices were Fair. I highly recommend this place.

I got the chicken and beef skewers dinner. It was delicious. It came with an oversized salad, with a potato salad hidden underneath. The protein was placed on a bed of veggie rice. Very flavorful. I wish there was more protein, didn’t seem proportional to the size of the meal. It also came with a pita, taziki sauce and a vinaigrette for the salad. So much flavor! Light but filling.

Great lunch stop. They gyro was excellent and the kids plate was a perfect sized serving.

The food was subpar. Salad could have been cut up finer, to chunky for elderly people to eat. Plates were over filled and food falling off. Very messy. Will not be back.

My family visited this location saturday evening. It was busy but, we were greeted as soon as we walked in. As we made our way to the register, we heard two very angry and rude customers at the register. Apparently they had been there for a long time without being helped. That seemed odd since the team was making it a point to greet people and seemed to be steadily calling names and handing out orders. Dispite the rudeness of the twi customers, the team was very kind and professional. From the time we walked in and ordered to the time we received our food was less than 10 mins.

The picture should speak for itself. It’s Zephyrhills though what do you expect?

Went in to have something different. I was not disappointed. I got the chicken Philly gyro, which our cashier highly recommended. My boyfriend got the classic gyro. My 2 year old got Chicken tenders and fries. We also shared a spinach pie as well. Our food came out at a reasonable time. The classic gyro was delicious and the chicken Philly gyro was amazing. I see why the cashier said it was her favorite! The chicken was very juicy and the spices and veggies blended very well. The tzatzki sauce was on point! The spinach pie was delicious as well...and the tzatzki sauce with it made it so much better! I would highly recommend it if you're looking for Greek food! If I'm back in town, I will definitely come back!

This is a hidden jewel in Z-hills! Not open very late, but hoping with the housing boom in the area they will adjust to accommodate the public's need. Delicious Gyros and Greek salad. This last visit wasn't as good as previously, but I did arrive within 30 mins of closing. The place still has a steady flow of people coming and going so they have a good size following. The taziki sauce and Greek potato was very good as well. Staff is very patient and friendly.

The food tastes so good! It's fresh, and very well prepared because I watched my gyro being put together! Everything is very clean. It's our go to when we want the taste of Greek food.

Save yourself from a bad experience and eat at the Hungry Greek on Bruce B. Downs Blvd. I’ve never had problems there. My very last visit to the Zephyrhills store was at 7:35 PM on a Monday. I ordered a salad with gyro meat to eat in-store. I was told it would take awhile since the gyro meat needed cooking(the outside was raw as the cooking unit had been shut off early). I waited for a few strips of gyro that had to be cooked. A tabouli bowl with gyro meat was given to me, tied in a bag without utensils to-go. I brought this to the attention of the staff, who were perturbed since it was near closing. A few minutes later I received a salad topped with old burnt meat scrapings from the grill, clearly not the strips of gyro meat from last mistake they made, but something far worse. This was also packed to-go against my wishes. When I requested a refund for this mess, I was accused of eating the former gyro strips(which had been replaced with discards from the grill) and was denied a refund as the store was “closed”, at which time the meal was discarded by staff. To summarize this store: Bad food, bad service and unethical business practices are what you can expect for your money in the Zephyrhills Hungry Greek. The Hungry Greek in Wesley Chapel has never failed me, though. Go to the Bruce B. Downs store instead.

We stop by once a week for a falafel pita and a rice bowl with either chicken or falafel. The food is always tasty and fresh. The service is always polite and food comes out pretty dang quick.

The service here is wonderful and the Greek fries are fabulous hope to try the cheesecake baklava soon....

Horiatiki salad "Village salad" all vegetables no lettuce with a mound of potato salad hidden in the center underneath the wonderful vegetables served with a wide of your choice white or wheat grilled pita, yum! My husband enjoyed his veggie pita

Never had liquid hummus before today. I did not even realize it was hummus and went back inside to tell them that it was missing. This is a picture on the left is of hummus that I got from a Hungry Greek on Bruce B Downs Blvd in Wesley Chapel a few days before. The hummus on the right is from this location. This was terribly watered down, obviously. And tasted horrible and blahhh. This location needs to take note and getting training on hummus from other Hungry Greek locations. The salad was good.

Ash H(apparently the manager) took my order and was extremely rude. Terrible representation of all the other employees of this restaurant. Told me I couldn't order something that was on the menu the way it was on the menu, a more seasoned employee had to help her order it the right way after she argued with me about it and then, I grabbed a water cup which are in reach of patrons, and she said with a snotty attitude, next time I can get that for you and I said there was no need to be rude about it. She then proceeded to stare at me the rest of the time we sat there and ate lunch. Extremely out of character for this restaurant that we eat at often. Food was great as always.

1st Timer ! My trucking terminal is right near here . The food was great ! I ordered a Greek salad 🥗. Also ordered Chicken pita deconstructed . And a chicken skewer . I was kinda picky on how I wanted everything . And the young ladies that were there were very accommodating . I ordered on 12.9.23 @ 12:03 pm . I didn't get their names . But thank you, ladies !! My wife and I come here often and have found that the food quality is different depending on the time of day. Today we were there about 2.30 the pita bread was so tough we couldn't chew it and my chicken was cold. Generally we eat during the lunch rush and everything comes out fresh. But everything we come outside the lunch hour we have been disappointed the quality should be maintained all day.

I love their food! I’ve dined at this restaurant, many times, and it is consistently delicious and the service is exceptional. I know chains can get a bad rap at times, but this place is doing everything right! I highly recommend it.
