The food is delicious and the team is so helpful! We had a group order for about 20 people and they had the food ready on time, helped me take it to my car, and gave us all the utensils and plates we needed. I would definitely order from them again!

We're here all the time because the food is great, the team who runs the place is fantastic, and we just feel great being here and after eating here!

This place was the bomb! The fries wear hand down the favorite from all 3 of us. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Ordered on the little kiosk tablet they have, fast and simple! We all got the wraps, they were a hit for everyone! Definitely will be returning.

The chicken wrap was amazing. I'd recommend trying it without tomatoes. Had an incredible green humus that's not yet on their menu. The fries with feta cheese, garlic sauce and red onions are bomb 💣

When visiting the East Village, I always eat several times at the original Kebab Shop. Food, atmosphere and service is outstanding. Be sure to say hello to Alfonso and Felipe!

Four hungry travelers really found the right spot. The staff were very helpful explaining the menu. Our wraps came quickly, with such fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor. The Kebab Shop is a real gem in the Gaslamp district.

From Houston took a business trip to SD. Best food and service I have had in a while. Houston is full of such restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food there. I don't remember the names the two guys that took and made the order should get a raise.

Order online, and pick up on time. They’ll call you if you don’t pick it up. Pick it up though and say thank you. This place is clutch. Great lunch spot and perfect Mediterranean diet style wraps. Worth the extra $2 for carved lamb and beef. Don’t recommend fries, felafel is better. Do recommend everything else. Grab some extra yogurt/ chile sauce at the sauce bar and don’t spread your germs. Green is mild. Red is super spicy. Be warned.

No complaints. It's a classic! The wrap is just excellent, perfect, it’s fresh and tasty. The tortilla looks homemade and heated over charcoal. The staff is super friendly I advise with my eyes closed

Always been a favorite of mine for the best Kebabs in downtown San Diego! Very healthy and not overly greasy or fatty. Quality ingredients come here for a great price and quick service. Went recently after a Padres game (vs Yankees) on a Friday night& was amazed at the customer service provided by Atua and Felipe. The quality of their kebabs was great, fresh and made with care and was the 1st time I got to meet them. Awesome experience to go back to one my favorite spots and see great people working there years later. My Personal favorite go-to is the Basic Chicken kebab with all 3 sauces on the side. Each is unique and use them more as “dipping sauce” to experience different combinations of flavors. Will definitely be back as a Padres season tix holder and hopefully Atua & Felipe will be there again as they are great people to order & eat food from. Thanks again!

Solidly okay. Better than anticipated and would probably say it’s akin to a Mediterranean version of chipotle but it’s made to order. There is a wait for the food because of the fact that it is indeed made to order but it’s nice to know the food is fresh. Recommend the hummus and falafel especially.

Went here twice last year during comic con and got the bowl with fries and chicken, the works! I think about this meal often and can’t wait to go back this year!! Yum 🤤

Kebab Shop is my go to when I'm in the gaslamp. 5 stars in all categories. I was a little disappointed they discontinued the meatballs but I had the Kafta and it's actually better. Doesnt matter if you like a wrap or a plate both are exceptional. The manager is a cool dude as well. Always very pleasant and on top of his game. Fair warning, it takes like 10 or 15 minutes for the steak so be patient when you go there and order a freshly cooked skewer of meat.

Excellent blend of Greek and American, their gyro burritos were really good. The food was fresh. And decently priced. I would recommend.

Good service but the bowl I got was 80% greens and 20% chicken at most. Total scam not worth going at all. I had to make food at home to even get enough protein.

January 2024 Update: We stopped in for a late dinner and food was amazing as always. Falafel was great and I always love the pita wraps. Service was friendly and efficient. This is our favorite Kebab Shop for sure. Try the spicy hummus! Always a good place to grab a quick meal. Maybe the food isn’t as fresh as some other Mediterranean restaurants but for fast food it’s always dependable and tastes great. I love the red sauce and the garlic yogurt with my beef and lamb wrap. Try adding the spicy hummus - it adds some nice flavor.

Great food and service. Atmosphere is basic tables and chairs. Kinda funky little place. Been to better atmosphere places where the food and service sucked. I will be going back to The Kabob Shop...

Brilliant little kebab shop! The wrap and crave fries are next level! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and despite the shop being busy the food was cooked and delivered in a timely manner. If you’re ever in the vicinity I would definitely recommend!

The staff and food are great. I rarely give restaurants a good review but what else can I say for an establishment that has excellent service. I got a combo and I thought it was too pricey so I changed my order and they in some free bread. It's rare these days to see the younger generation work with integrity.

Fantastic service, great food, very good value. We came from out of town and this was our first time visiting. We were pleasantly surprised to find a server who was extraordinarily friendly and even gave us free fries and an entree (another customer didn’t want what they ordered). Got the kofta kebab and the lamb doner— both were great, though we preferred the kofta a bit more. Salads were fresh and flavorful. Hands down would come back here again.

Cashier said they didn’t have anything but falafel while I watched them make chicken and lamb wraps. Pretty sure they were just over it because she also said we have been working all day non stop, as if that merited not getting more ingredients out of the fridge.

Great halal option (craved lamb beef only) if you are craving doner in SD! The wrap is huge but in my opinion the ratio of lamb meat vs other fillings is less so I added extra protein and it was just perfect. Good guys at the counter.

Pls be aware beef IS NOT HALAL, only lamb and chicken are halal. Its even mentioned on their website if only i had paid attention. Other than that food is fantastic. Im giving 3 stars just because it should have been mentioned clearly at their locations that their beef isnt halal otherwise i wouldve given 5 stars.

Took falafel roll and it tasted average. Did not find it worth the money

Very little meat. I initially asked for extra meat on my wrap but they wanted 8 bucks. The. I refused the extra cost , amd instead they put less meat. 15 bucks for veggies and a wrap. Never again. This actually happened last time. Said never again that toime, gave it a year, and for sure never again now. No wonder why this place is empty as i write this

They claim to sell döner, but it is not döner, if you actually have a clue what döner is. We had chicken "döner", which was very dry and tasteless. They didn't even have ayran. You can't call yourself a döner shop and not have ayran. It is a crime. There are burritos that taste more like döner than their "döner". The two stars are for the sauces, fries and their Mexican coke. Bu kadar abi.

The “kebab” with chicken option missing taste. You don’t mix chicken with lettuce :) And it was zero salt, a bit overcooked. You still need to learn a lot about kebab culture. Please discover durum options from Hatay, Bursa, and Berlin instead of Taksim square. Because that was the taste :) People working in the place are very kind, however two different radios playing different music and a bit loud, makes you feel you want to eat and leave asap

This place had one of the better chicken wraps that I’ve ever had. Their white, red, and green sauces were really delicious when poured over the wrap. The atmosphere was comfortable and the service was excellent. I would recommend to anyone who is craving a wrap in San Diego.

The food and serving sizes alongwith the service at this restaurant were very good.However the ambience, cleanliness and decor at best were average. The prices were also on the higher side. Ps.I asked the staff for some warm water or water at room temperature,and he said that he only had cold water and couldn't be bothered at all in any way to please the customer by fulfilling a customer's simple and ordinary request.The general motto of many many many companies in USA seems to be:HIGH CHARGES IN RETURN FOR VERY POOR SERVICE. The Carved Chicken Wrap was HUUGEEE and delicious. Also the Carve Fries with feta cheese were OMG delicious. 10/10 food!

Overall the Food itself is great - big fan of the Kebabshop. The only problem seems to be that they can NEVER get the order right. Out of the 20 times I've ordered they've missed items 9 times. And im not exaggerating. Whenever I inform them I am even getting blamed for not checking, the only thing im asking for them to do is add 4-7 items into a bag and that didn't happen and it's my fault for not checking?

The döner wrap was really good almost like the ones in Turkey and Germany. Staff was really helpful too, definitely would eat here again.

My fist time here and it was delicious. The restaurant was clean airy and open. The staff was welcoming friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of the restaurant’s menu. It was an enjoyable experience.

I went to visit at lunchtime. It was quite busy. The place is super clean. I ordered “Plate “ with Lamb Beef Doner , Greek Salad, Chickpea Salad and ordered Saffron Rice as an extra side. You can get 3 different kind of sauces which are available for free. The food was prepared fresh and flavorful. Customer service was very professional and friendly. It took a bit of time for food to arrive as it was super busy but it was worth the wait.

Was visiting from out of town and wanted to go somewhere close to my hotel. This place was AMAZING! The staff was extremely friendly and my food came out very quickly. Chicken and rice was so flavorful and the salad was super fresh. So delicious. The serving size was huge too. Definitely enough for two meals, all for $14. Highly recommend.

Ordered an online order on their website. The food was OK but a very poor experience. As soon as we ordered, we called the store, asking them to include utensils (also checked on the order), but the order arrived without any utensils (and a missing side) . Had to eat a salad, rice, and kabob with hands. Called the number provided and after wasting 20 minutes, they said to call the store. When we called the store, it was already closed. Left a detailed voice-mail, but no one has yet to call us back.

Been all over the Middle East, this is very spot on, good quality and fresh. Took a bit of time to get the order but aside from that it was great. Place was clean and the staff was kind. Paid 20 dollars (plus tip) for the one with fries and feta and a drink, a little expensive, BUT the quality was great. I do wish they'd pack it a bit thicker for 20 dollars. Highly recommend for that good taste of UAE
