Second time visiting from Canada. Amazing food and service. Super cute setting. Extensive cocktail list with many non-alcoholic option cocktails. We will definitely be back whenever we are through this area again.

Samantha was extremely nice and welcoming. We had a small incident in the room and she was able to reassure us and help us out immediately. We were well taken care of and the breakfast was outstanding. The room was clean, and decorated nicely. The entire Inn is a cozy and hospitable place. I highly recommend the stay to anyone who is the area, we will definitely be back soon!

Great experience at the Stagecoach Inn. The inn has a cozy Adirondacks feel and is well maintained and comfortable. The service was amazing and it was clear that the team at the inn cared about making customer's visits special. The food is excellent for breakfast and dinner, and the bar has very creative and diverse alcoholic and non alcoholic options.

We really enjoyed our stay. We came for an elopement and the experience was more than we expected. Stacia and her team were very accommodating and couldn't ask for more. Sam, and Lily took care of us at the Inn for breakfast/dinner service and they were a treat to deal with. Stacia really went out of her way to make sure whatever we needed was taken care of and we could not be happier. This is an experience we will never forget.

Wonderful, charming place and well located. The staff is very helpful, professional and welcoming. Had a great week-end hiking & dining at the B&B. Very good food, great cocktails and the service is very attentive. The staff accomodated me to dine outside throughout the week-end, breakfasts and dinner so that my dog could quietly sit under the table.

We made reservations to eat at the Stagecoach Inn for our elopement dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. We both got the hangar steak and it had a sauce that was so savory the steak was practically melting in your mouth. We had a drink with dinner and then a dessert drink to go with our dessert. Drinks were good and they have a variety of different drink options. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic. We only went for dinner and did not stay for overnight accommodations. We would definitely go back again for dinner as the food and service was great!

Just had an amazing dinner. The place is so beautiful and cozy. The food was amazing but the staff took it to a whole other level. What an absolute gem in Lake Placid. Thank you guy so much for making my wife’s birthday so special.

Loved the history and location of this wonderful inn. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Great outdoor spaces to enjoy on the property, mingling with others on the porch while enjoying the fresh air and Adirondack setting. Inside is warm wood - beautiful! Enjoyable time, for sure!

We had dinner here for a birthday weekend getaway and I could not have been happier with our entire experience. A reservation is a must! The Inn is gorgeous, warm and cozy. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and offered fantastic recommendations for both drinks and food! My cocktail was this magical twist on a French 75. It was beautiful and delicious. The pea shoot salad was a delicious appetizer and the salmon entree was excellent. The poached pear dessert is a must! We will absolutely return.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn over the eclipse weekend with family and dear friends. It was a wonderful experience with unique food options (that were also accessible for non-adventurous eaters like me!). We ordered just about everything from beef to fish to poultry to vegetarian options. Adding to the charm and ambiance of the Inn was a warm, welcoming staff. I haven’t had the opportunity to lodge at the Inn, but based on our dining experience I’d love to return for both a meal and an overnight stay.

Review for the restaurant only! The problem is not the price but the dish taste/quality given the price. All the entrees were around $40-$50 and appetizers $16-$19. Some of the food is good but not worth the price point. The duck rillette $18 (“crispy” duck served over fried polenta) was soggy by the time it came to the table. The flavors were very one note and heavy. The mushroom puff pasty was good (sweet and savory) but nothing special. The scallops were very delicious, seared nicely. The lamb was very meh, bland and I thought the polenta was heavy yet unseasoned. We were not asked how we wanted the lamb cooked. The ambiance of the place was super cozy and inviting. Overall for 2 people the bill was around $170 with no drinks. For the price I expected better execution on the food, and more elevated dishes. Also we were able to walk in with no reservation during the eclipse weekend, there were quite a few empty tables near us.

I was excited to dine there after seeing so many good reviews on yelp but I was very disappointed by the quality of the food. The restaurant promises a fine dining experience but it falls short on that regard. Most of the dishes were average, with some of them being pretty bad (lamb rack). It was a let down, especially considering the steep prices; higher than what you find in Manhattan! This would have been fine if the food was great, but that was not the case. I have had MUCH better food for way cheaper! I won't be coming back.

Went for dinner and drinks with friends, didn’t stay at the inn, so I can’t comment on the rooms…however, the restaurant is wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely, quaint north country. The service was amazing, food was fantastic and drinks were on-point. Save room for sweets and the dessert drinks….Will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the NYC metropolitan area. We love mountain views, and we love to ski. We also love to dine and be romantic. We love to shop and explore. We thought of Lake Placid. We did not know how it would be since we've never been there. Well, we do know now, and we nailed it. Lake Placed is a perfect romantic getaway. We stayed at the Stagecoach Inn. We also nailed that choice. It was perfect! Exactly what we were looking for. It's just a very short drive away from Mirror Lake Village nestled on a scenic wooded road. We arrived at night and the place was lit up with lights. The wrap around porch just gave it such a quaint feel. We entered, and we were immediately greeted by a lovely staff. The hospitality was lovely. To keep this short. I will say dinner there was superb and breakfasts were delightful. The room was cozy with a fireplace, and the bathroom was roomy and updated and super clean. Perfect place to be romantic. Perfect place to have well prepared meals. Perfect place to sleep well. We highly recommend The Stagecoach Inn.

Insanely delicious food. NYC Michelin level of fine dining.

Came up from NYC not expecting to stumble upon what may have been one of the top ten meals of my life. The food was incredible and each dish we ordered continued to be better than the last… there were so many unique flavors that I never thought I’d like and yet enjoyed each one. The Szechuan peppercorn crème brûlée was unreal.

We dined there last night and it was exceptional. We have been coming to Lake Placid for 30 years and this is a much needed addition. Would highly recommend!!!

We stayed at the Stagecoach Inn for a weekend. It was a wonderful experience. The staff is fantastic and makes you feel right at home. We had breakfast every morning and it was fantastic. We had dinner there twice and the chef did not disappoint, every dish was beautiful and tasted even better.

I had a dinner at this place. Food is too expensive . The quality of food was terrible . As soon as I left the restaurant I had stomach cramp and slight vomiting due to food poisoning . They also charge $65.00 for an average item on the menu. The size of the dish is very small , i was still hungry after I was done w my meal. I do not recommend this place.

Everything was excellent - from the room, the service, the food - everything. The dinner was fantastic and so was the included breakfast. Cannot wait to go back!

This place is TOP NOTCH. We didn’t stay here, but came to eat & drink. Make a reservation to ensure you get a spot. The food is spectacular - Better than most NYC restaurants. Also super cozy and cool vibe of the restaurant from the decor to the table settings and different glassware. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. Also - staff is AWESOME! Cool, laid back but knowledgeable and super friendly. Don’t sleep on this spot, it’s a 10/10.

Fabulous! One of the best meals ever & the ambience is quintessential Adirondack. We hope to do an overnight this winter for a short getaway. I can’t wait.

My husband, Dylon, and I have been visiting Lake Placid for years, and the Stagecoach is our favorite place to stay! In June 2023, the Stagecoach helped us plan our beautiful Adirondack Elopement. Stacia and her husband are absolutely wonderful and made our experience magical and one of a kind. All of her staff are also amazing and very accommodating. I highly recommend the Stagecoach for your next stay, for your next delicious meal with Chef William, and definitely if you want to plan a memorable elopement!

We recently had our wedding ceremony/venue here at the Stage Coach Inn. We were very pleased and extremely happy with everything. Stacia & Mike were absolutely amazing and super helpful with planning, floral arrangements, setting up, communicating (the list goes on). The day went as smooth as it could possibly go. Everything was perfect. Can not wait to come back for dinner again. They have a 5 star chef and the food is absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough about them and super grateful we chose the Stage Coach for our wedding day! Many accolades to Stacia and her team! Highly highly recommend this place!

We stayed at the stagecoach inn as part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful 2 night stay! The room was spacious compared to other b&b’s we’ve stayed at. The cocktail menu at the bar cannot be passed up! The staff and owners were welcoming, friendly, and made our honeymoon feel special. Breakfast both mornings was fantastic. Our stay at the stagecoach was just what we dreamed to have during our first visit to the Adirondacks!

Review of food for dinner only. I'm a vegetarian who doesn't like smoked flavours. Loved the mixed green salad and pan seared cheese curds. The shishito peppers seemed too oily and the ratatouille starter had st Regis (smoked type of cheese). We didn't get the ratatouille entree unfor.

Had a very nice 3-night stay in the Dewey Day room on the second floor. AC unit was great to keep the room cooler. Love the character of the Inn, very cozy and rustic. Tested all the adk chairs, including the ones on the second floor balcony. So cool! Enjoyed the breakfast very much and the staff was awesome.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights and had the best time. The staff was extremely friendly and the Inn was the coziest place I have ever seen. Deffinetly planning on returning. The food, though expensive, is absolutely worth it, as are the cocktails. Thank you to Lilly, Linda and Mary!

We drove here for a pre-wedding dinner, and it was fantastic! Really great service and very accommodating of our party's food intolerences and, in the case of my in-laws, pickiness. Everything from the appetizers to the mains was mouthwateringly good. The cocktail I ordered was also very good. Would definitely dine here again!

Our experience was top notch. This was an incredible experience from the moment we arrived we were taken care of. The atmosphere is so beautiful inside to outside from their quaint breakfast area to their outdoor s’mores setup. Truly incredible parents night out! We will be back!

What a beautiful place. We visit just a few weeks ago during a snowy week in February. The historic inn oozes history on the outside. Inside it looks new, all wood, at least the ground floor where the dining room is (we ate here but did not stay at the inn). The food was delicious and presentation beautiful to look at. Favorites for me were the cheese plate, which is very filling and all locally grown (great for supporting the many local producers too), and my wife's King Salmon and my daughter's Turkey Saltimbocca. I enjoyed the the marinated anchovy starter but it was overkill in terms of amount with the cheese plate (my eyes were bigger than my stomach after a day of microspike hiking) and it did not quite align with my bent toward the savory--those that love tangy, vinegary things will love it. I also enjoyed the Icelandic cod but again, my love of savory was better met by my wife and daughter's mains. The polenta, never easy to make, was perfect. AND the poached pear in puff pastry w/the maple cotton candy---my wife and daughter loved it. Oh, and I should mention: as Lake Placid regulars, this place is great, it is only five minutes out of town and has sufficient parking (parking in downtown can be...irritating).

The food at the stagecoach in is PHENOMENAL!! I am a huge foodie and will drive hours for a great meal. And when I tell you to get in your car and drive here for one of the best meals of your life, I mean it. The ever changing menu highlights everything that is important for a great restaurant… seasonal foods that warm the soul and taste like Christmas in your mouth. If you do one thing for yourself this year, run to the Stagecoach Inn and have the best dinner of your life. I can’t wait to eat here again soon, M & T.

I don't know where to begin... we spent only one night here and the weather was upsetting for any winter lover - freezing rain and very little snow on the ground. However - coming to Stagecoach remedied any sulking we were doing en route to Lake Placid. The Inn is more cozy, comfortable and charming than the photos represent. Holiday decorations were still up, beautiful lights on the outside of the Inn as well as inside, and our room with even more charming. The decor truly felt like upscale rustic. Not an easy feat to accomplish, but their designers have done it. I ended up spending a couple hours reading one of the books sitting on the shelf called "Woodswoman." The staff, both restaurant and innkeeper, were professional but also exuded warmth. The restaurant! Chef William blew our socks off. The cocktails were off the hook. And I have spent years, over one decade actually, drinking some of the fanciest cocktails in NYC speakeasies. This was the best mezcal cocktail I've had, and the best cocktail with a vegetable ingredient (carrot ginger lime gin - a special). The breakfast was on par with dinner. Gourmet and heavenly. Finally, we didn't even need to drive anywhere for recreation. We traipsed in the beautiful Harry's Woods - 3 miles of lovely trails, even some switchbacks so you can get your heart rate up. One super minor thing - you do hear the cars on the road, but somehow, even being someone sensitive to sounds as I'm a hearing conservation audiologist, the cars felt more like wind than cars. No trucks or rumbling. Just wooshes. Prob can't double pane the windows due to the building being over 200 yrs old.

My husband and I got married at the stage coach inn this past weekend and we also stayed there last year for our engagement photos. Stacia and her team at the inn were incredible to work with and made everything about our elopement stress-free and relaxing. Thank you for all of your help and everything you did to help make our day so special. We will definitely be back.

Came here for my 3 year anniversary with my girlfriend and had a great time! The food was amazing, Billy the chef came out to personally tell us about the food. Lily our server was very helpful in recommending a great wine and was attentive throughout the evening. Beautiful atmosphere, very cozy and intimate. Highly recommend!!

Just stayed at the Stagecoach for our second time this past weekend, and what a pleasure it was once again! The new innkeepers, Baker and Justin, were an absolute pleasure! Their kindness, glowingly cheerful attitudes and attention to detail were only outmatched by the quality of their service and the delicious breakfast they provided each morning! Billy, the chef in the kitchen did a spectacular job when we sat down for our beautiful dinner at the prime location right in front of the fireplace. The 5-stars I give this meal deserve the Michelin label, and I mean that! The lovely bartender (who I hate to say I forget her name) made some EXCELLENT cocktails which I was able to enjoy by the lovely fire out back. The cozy atmosphere and slightly off the beaten path location of the Stagecoach is perfect for a little getaway with someone you love. If I could give it 10 stars I would! This place is becoming an annual stay for us without a doubt. Thank you again, everyone!

We had an amazing time at the Stagecoach Inn. We booked the deluxe romance package. We were welcomed warmly immediately, the owner carried our bags up to our room where fresh flowers, local chocolates, and artisanal spring water were waiting for us. The inn itself is warm and inviting - if you are looking for a classy yet "lodgey" feel, this is the place. The Adirondack Foot Sanctuary was pure bliss (part of the package). We had some AMAZING cocktails at the bar with exceptional service. There was a little confusion with our dinner reservations but the staff was so attentive and quickly made things right. You can tell that everyone truly cares about making your stay excellent. Our bartender made sure that we received everything that was supposed to be included in our package, including a free cocktail, a bottle of wine, and she even made sure the fire pit was started outside so we could enjoy our s'mores. Don't even get me started on dinner service. Amazing from top to bottom. This is fine dining. Even the chef came out to check on us and to make sure that everything was good (it was better than good, it was GREAT). The breakfast was also delightful and kept us full until later in the afternoon. Breakfast service was quick as well, which is great when you're traveling and hiking (a.k.a. tired and hungry). Thank you to the Stagecoach for such a great experience. These people know what they're doing, you will not be disappointed. Only suggestion I have is to button up communication a bit. There was a little confusion when it came to reserving our spot at the Foot Sanctuary and dinner, but again, everyone was very hospitable and made it right very quickly and without hesitation. A very kind, well-trained group of hospitality professionals. We will absolutely be back! THANK YOU!

Marvelous meal...inventive cuisine!

We absolutely adored this inn. The host was extremely attentive and breakfast was delicious! The decorations in the inn were very charming and made it feel unique. Location wise- the hiking was great. We recommend Cobble hill.

This Inn was really authentic and had the absolute BEST breakfast we have ever eaten in any Inn . Despite the shortage of staff , William was the perfect host and covered all the bases with charm . Definitely a place to visit for anyone going to Lake Placid.

My husband and I stayed at the Stagecoach Inn this summer for our honeymoon. We chose the location because it was close to hiking, shopping, and restaurants in the area. We also liked that parking was available, the entertaining areas seemed spacious, and we were close to two areas with things to do. We were blown away by the kindness and attention to detail that the staff showed us and we immediately felt at home! The inn itself is very charming and cozy and, despite being quite old, has modern upgrades and facilities that made staying there for 4 days very comfortable. We are very glad we chose to stay at the Stagecoach versus a corporate hotel and will always remember the team that took care of us for their friendliness and hospitality. A special thank you to guest innkeeper Cathy and Chef William for going above and beyond and taking our dietary restrictions into account when it came to meals! We will definitely be staying again and recommending the Inn to family and friends who want to visit the area.

Had a fantastic dinner here last night. Chef William is an artist and the food was incredible. The inn is charming so the ambiance was wonderful too. We had shishito peppers, charcuterie, cheese plate, Brussels Caesar salad, and ratatouille. The desserts were amazing too the cheesecake comes with an incredible ice cream. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

My husband, parents & I stayed at The Stagecoach Inn, Bear's Den Cabin, which has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 people comfortably. It was the perfect winter getaway and we wouldn't have changed a thing. The real wood burning fireplace was a big highlight to use after a day of snowshoeing. There is a well-equipped full kitchen with all the necessary gadgets. The Inn coordinated a private chef to cook us dinner one of the nights we stayed which was AMAZING. The innkeepers and owner were all very helpful and attentive and I would highly recommend booking your stay here versus some of the bigger lake placid hotels!

My husband and I went there recently for a mini- moon. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. The aesthetics of the inn were charming and unique. The hosts were beyond welcoming and kind! They were a joy to get to know! We enjoyed happy hour every night by the fire place and a delicious homemade breakfast every day. Our only complaint was that we couldn’t take Donna, the innkeeper, back to New Jersey with us so we could have a breakfast like that every day lol! We cannot wait for our next visit!

The stagecoach inn is truly amazing. My husband and I had our microwedding/elopement there and there is not one bad thing we can say. On a scale from 1-10, the Stagecoach is well over a 20! From the rooms, to the bartender, to brandon’s food everything was absolutely incredible. The innkeeper laina was the nicest ever and helped us every step of the way with coordinating for our small group. She also officiated our wedding! Owners Stacia and Mike are truly a dream. They were so helpful and accommodating and made our wedding weekend the very best it could have ever been. All of our family members agreed it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I could go on for hours about every staff member and all of the good things and our overall experience at the Stagecoach inn. Everyone needs to make a trip here for a cozy weekend getaway, either alone or with a small group! I promise you will not be disappointed!

Staying at the Stagecoach Inn is a wonderful experience worth any effort it may take to get there. Besides the fact that it is on the edge of beautiful town of Lake Placid it has the distinction of being the oldest building there and its rich history is evident everywhere your eye lands, from the birch fireplace mantle to the historic stained glass window. The hosts are beyond gracious and are talented as well, witness the awesome breakfasts they serve you every morning. When you leave you will start thinking about when you can return, I know I am.

Just leaving this morning after the most wonderful three days! My expectations were completely blown out of the water from the beginning to the end. We did the elopement package and stayed at The bear den right down the road from the main inn and it was absolutely wonderful! Couldn't say enough good things about everyone who works at stagecoach: Stacia and Michael were so wonderful and hospitable they even helped with our entire elopement and came up on the mountain to join and help us! Laina at the front desk was so sweet and had tons of pointers of trails and where to go in town. Zach the inn keeper was absolutely spectacular he was so hospitable and knowledgeable about the foods and drinks at the inn and was so nice to talk to. Brandon the chef makes the most amazing flavorful food you can taste the thought and love he puts into his work - we had a three course dinner with a wine pairing also came with a dessert and a handcrafted cocktail that Zach put together for us! I could go on and on about the stagecoach. We are so sad to leave but so blown away and happy by the experience we had and the people we met. Thank you all so much for making our special day absolutely precious and lovely. We can't wait to make our way back. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
