Amazing environment and amazing food

Tiny little place but don’t let that steer you away. The lobster roll was the best! The roll, butter, slaw and lobster were perfection. Easy to get to as we traveled through Connecticut via I-95.

The BEST lobster roll! Why? Because it’s on a crispy baguette 🥖 and does not get soggy and mushy! The guys are great and create a fun experience. There are tables outside, BYOB. Great for groups of people or small parties. Walnut Beach has a bohemian vibe. There’s a surf gift shop next door and Walnut Creamery across the street. You can also walk to the beach that connects to Silver Sands Beach while eating your 🦞 lobster roll. Worth the trip! Thank You 😊

You guys have THE BEST lobster roll I have ever had and I’ve tried ALOT!! The bread was amazing and toasted to perfection, the lobster was piled so high, unlike I’ve never had before and it was generously coated in the perfect amount of butter!! I can’t forget to mention the freshest, tastiest coleslaw I’ve ever had!! Don’t walk, run to the Lazy Lobster now if you’re in search of the ultimate lobster roll. 🦞 🥖

Literally the absolute BEST lobster roll I have ever eaten. All other lobster rolls pale in comparison to the deliciousness of a Lazy Lobster lobster roll. It’s the salty, crispy baguette and the heaping tasty lobster that makes this the best one ever! ❤️ We also ordered the half baguette and my 13 year old was flabbergasted at how big the half size was!

This is a beachy place with the best lobster roll in Connecticut. I’ve had many and it is spectacular. Very casual, not a lot of other stuff. You won’t care, the roll is exceptional.

I have been here a few time and it never dissapoints. Love the shrimp poboy and the crab cakes. Crab cakes are huge with lump crab and tasty. Home made coleslaw and the shrimp are done perfectly. The best best part is its byob and even better is the home made baguette I always get an extra or two everytime. Amazing local join I highly recommend.

The lobster roll I had tonight was the best I have ever had. The roll was not soggy and had the best taste they definitely do not go easy on lobster it was packed. Delicious will definitely return.

Exceeded my expectations. I’m all for the traditional New England style hot dog bun but the addition of the toasted baguette takes it to the next level. Piled high with perfectly cooked lobster meat, staff were super nice dudes, across the street from ice cream… No complaints.

We tried the steamed bucket of mussels and clams, 2 crabcakes and the lobster bisque soup. All tasted fine but for sure this lunch was very high in calories! Crabcakes were bready so maybe try the lobster roll like others have suggested. Hole in the wall with little seating and NO bathroom!

I was looking forward to the mac n cheese but they were sold out the bread for the lobster roll is amazing the lobster itself idk my lobster was cold and a few chewy pieces but was still delicious I’m gonna Try again the coleslaw was good the shrimp chowder amazing delicious they won me over basically bc the baguette dude finally someone who don’t serve it on a hotdog bun !!! I wanna try their clam chowder too when they have it

The Lazy Lobster restaurant in Milford serves by far the best lobster roll I have ever had. They serve other things but the lobster roll is a MUST.

This is one of the top restaurants in Milford and definitely the best seafood place in all of CT; it's authentic and fresh! We are also from Texas and were skeptical about the BBQ but we were pleasantly surprised; it's AMAZING! To be able to nail seafood and BBQ in one place is a huge feat and they did it perfectly! In addition, the service was timed extremely well. We did not have to wait too long to be served and each dish came out in a precisely timed manner; nothing felt rushed, nor did we wait between servings. You're really missing out if you don't try this place out! Thank you for the meal and your dedication to your craft...it really made our day! To address the other 1-2 star reviews for price etc... I won't lie, the price took me off guard at first (I didn't not mean to be rude with my surprised reaction), but after eating, it all made sense; they were not shy about how much lobster and beef they gave us and you could absolutely tell their ingredients are high caliber. I can't tell you how many times I have spent $100 on a meal here in Milford that was a rung above dog food.....this place is NOT that!!!! If you value good food with high quality ingredients, then the price should not bother you. Otherwise, there are a million other cheaper options, but I assure you, they won't match the quality of this place.

I grew up in Connecticut so I've eaten at many great seafood places but the Lazy Lobster has the best lobster roll I've had in years with a very generous portion of lobster. The buttered baguettes are to die for and I will be going back to try the ribs. This is a small place, be prepared for a casual atmosphere or to take your food home but wherever you eat it, know you will thoroughly enjoy it!

Love this place! Not only do they have seafood there’s fresh corn on the cob, seasoned potatoes as a side. And my go to favorite every time is the ribby roll that has bbq pork (so soft), corn, garlic, potatoes on a roll they dip in butter and then bake in the oven in front of you. 10/10 I recommend.

One of our favorite meals in CT. The portion sizes are SO generous! The lobster roll was out of this world, as were the chowder and potatoes. 100% - eat here.

First timer ordered over the phone (two lobster rolls) didn’t get Cole slaw or butter for either roll. Update - so it’s been 3 years since I last visited & let me just say it was worth the wait rolls were so good and filled me up coleslaw was tasty as well no complaints here and the employees took care of me with sides and drinks thank you!

Update*** Just stopped in to try their winter menu and I have to say the mac & cheese is incredible. Unbeatable. The house made breadcrumb with bacon is FIRE! I've been up and down the Eastern Seaboard and The Lazy Lobster has always been a favorite of mine. With their fresh Maine lobster served on their rocking signature roll you can't go wrong. To my delight, they cater as well as do drop offs which I've used for large events and smaller intimate gatherings - I recommended them for a good friend's wedding last summer and it was perfection. Sometimes they have this funny old guy, he is a dam riot. Looks like you'd expect the chef to look when the food is fantastic. As a bonus their BBQ ribs are something of a dream too. They use these bad boys to make another crowd favorite the dangerously delicious "Ribey" roll - It's big enough to share! Check them out. You won't be disappointed. Update** The Lazy Lobster, to my delight, is now open during the winter with a weekly menu that changes week to week. I showed up and enjoyed their fabulous towered lobster grill cheese along with a butternut squash soup topped with a prosciutto crisp and maple cream. You definitely have to swing by and check ot out!

Okay stopped in here quick today cause I seen em on uber eats and door dash and they had some things calling my name. My girl had a lobster roll of course, she loved it she has to have it again she said 👍 for me I went with this chicken sandwich they've got and I'm telling you this thing knocked me off my feet. If I could sit there and eat it again for the first time I would. I can't so I will just have to eat it a second time like next week ASAP. Some guy got the mac and cheese while I was in there and I could smell the cheesey goodness I already know the way it was made to order no doubt it's like something you'd want to fall asleep next to like a solid nap and smash. Got to come back. If you've never been don't be shy because you'll miss out on one of the best spots around.

One of the best lobster rolls I have ever had. House baked bread with warm, buttery lobster piled high. The clam chowder is really good too. Lots of clams and welled seasoned. The staff is very friendly and they were happy to chat with up about our trip to Milford.

When I walked in I was greeted by all of the staff. Great atmosphere to enjoy some really delicious food. I will definitely be coming back and telling a friend to tell a friend.

Excellent lobster rolls. I am from New Haven & was visiting home & on Sundays the other places that sell lobster rolls were closed. My daughter found this place on ticktock. Best tasting lobster rolls with fresh baked bread and very generous portions of lobster meat. Better than any that I have had in Boston where I live. Coleslaw was good & I had the crab cakes which were very tasty but could have used a little more crab.

Beautiful fall day so able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine! The lobster roll is so good. No words for the tasty freshly made baguette n buttered fresh lobster from Maine. Incredible bread, amazing melted butter (with garlic), and all around one of the best lobster rolls in CT and the world! The shrimp po boy is much cheaper than the lobster roll and amazing in its own right. Only thing is the shrimp po boy is a bit too salty, perhaps worth telling them to go easy on the old bay. I love this place and can’t wait to try their entire menu.

Ryan & Mike know how to pump out some amazing food. I just had some ribs that fell off the bone, and I could just drink the Barbecue sauce. My friends, lobster roll was overflowing out of the butter toasted baguette. We also tried some of the clam chowder, and it by far was the best I’ve ever had All n all it was delicious, and I can’t wait until my next visit. Thanks Guys ! ♥️

The lobster roll was good but was missing something... like maybe some garlic in the butter or some lemon juice? But the crab cakes tasted and looked like someone took over-salted stove top stuffing, threw a minimal amount of crab in it, and rolled it into a ball and baked it. All you could taste is salt. A crab cake should be like 95% chunks of crab meat and only enough bread crumbs to just barely make it keep together. Come on man, this was just sad for a place on the coast...

Food was absolutely delicious here, they definitely dont skimp on the lobster. Shrimp bucket was a bit of a hassle, they dont clean or deshell the shrimp so getting the brown thing out of each shrimp was annoying.. Basically if you go here stick to what there known for (lobster)

1st time in town and trying lobster not only am i coming back but the shrimp Po'boy was a 10/10 really not a sea food guy either and i told them that wanted a lobster roll but they insisted i got that and it did not disappoint i tried my friends lobster rolls (first time btw) and it was the freshest well prepared anything I've ever eaten sea food wise all around amazing atmosphere not a long walk from the beach either

I literally was just there yesterday for my birthday! I got the lobster roll which was so sweet and covered in butter on amazing bread. Well more of like a baguette type bread and my mom got the massive shrimp po-boy that was also mind-blowing the spices the shrimper cooked in the bread also. The sauce and the coleslaw is phenomenal. This place is a home run and don't think twice if you like seafood! P.s. .s. If you want their lobster bisque get their within 2 hours of them opening at noon or else it all will be gone lol Plus on top of it you can walk around the corner right to the beach!

The food was incredible... we had the corn on the cob seasoned very well... Lobster rolls were awesome... a can of mussels and classic where very good and a shrimp poboy witch was off the charts tastlful...

The best seafood I’ve had in Milford. The lobster roll was out of this world and the bucket of clams and mussels was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Staff was polite and seemed to be running things very smoothly. Love the simplicity of the set up. Highly recommend and worth every cent.

Friendly staff up front! I’ve never eaten a lobster that delicious, the bread makes it worth every penny when you’re out there spending $25++ for a soggy hot dog roll at most every other place! Plenty of lobster and a perfect amount of butter. Clam basket was delicious too and definitely try the potatoes. Nothing fried here, everything is unique. Seating is outside w a super chill beach vibe. Can’t wait to go back

Food was great. We got the lobster roll and the shrimp po boy. The sauce on the shrimp one was delicious and the lobster was fantastic and everything was too hot to touch it was so fresh. The corn was ok I’d have preferred sweet corn but it was still good.

The bun was an amazing and fresh baguette, the butter is just the right amount (plentiful), and the lobster is fresh, tender, and hot. Easily the very best lobster roll and also one of the top 10 best meals I've eaten in my lifetime! No frills atmosphere with polite counter service and a small patio overlooking the small and not busy street is great. And only 1 block from the beach. Nothing could make it better.

I live in Milford, but every time I eat here, it feels like I am on vacation. The lobster is always fresh. Today, I also had the shrimp cocktail, and the cocktail sauce has the perfect amount of kick.

It’s wasn’t horrible but not worth coming back… I drove a length to get to this place that calls it’s self a restaurant it’s a walk in place no seating just outdoor and it’s cold and wet out that’s super misleading and manipulative and the claim chowder is very regular I’ve had better ones out of cans

Love it!! I shared a shrimp po’ boy with my wife and it was less than a week before we went back for another. We got the Lobster roll too, and it was really fantastic…but that shrimp sandwich messed with fundamental wiring in my brain. When you work in food (I’m a cook myself) it gets harder and harder to be impressed by what folks are offering. This sandwich is downright impressive.

Super cute lobster shack near the beach in Milford serving up delicious fresh seafood. The shrimp, lobster, and corn chowder is incredible, as were the sides (corn, onions, potatoes). I also thought their ribs were great and they make the baguette in house which makes their sandwiches extra special. You can even purchase a half or full baguette and finish baking it off at home. Ryan, the owner, is super sweet and friendly. Love this spot!

We ordered the New England Clam Chowder (a pint is $8.95) and ordered 2 lobster roll meals that come with a side a coleslaw , plus 2 waters came to almost $90 with tax and everything . The New England clam chowder was good,more sweet than I’m used to but good ! The coleslaw was AMAZING , the lobster roll flavor was fantastic , however I had a lot of shell in mine and it was super tough so I’m not to happy I paid that much money for lunch . I will try it again and hope I catch them on a better day. They weren’t busy, I waited for them to open and was the first person they served so quality should have been there . .

I guarantee you take a bite out of any one of the things on Ryan‘s menu and it will change your life forever. This food is worth every penny, and I know you’ll be satisfied.

Well- here's what really happened. I walk in and saw the price and said- "wow- $36 for a lobster roll- it must be amazing- I can't wait to try it!". Instead of hearing back that yes- you will love it- I was attacked by the rudest staff you will ever encounter. I get it, prices have gone up and owners have to charge more - this was not about that no matter how they try to spin it.

Lazy Lobster is 10/10. The lobster rolls & lobster bisque are two of family favorites. The owner is very friendly and created a casual dining experience right next to Walnut Beach & you can BYOB. Highly recommend! Do yourself a favor and check out this local gem.

Just reading through some of the reviews to get an idea of the food. No doubt that the lobster rolls are great here. Many people have left great reviews. As a business owner myself, I like to support great people and great local business owners and the feedback from the owner on every negative review was very condescending and arrogant. Not someone I would support. You’re going to get bad reviews here and there, that’s the nature of business. Maybe you should try and respond in a more professional manner. Just some friendly advice from a successful business owner.

Hands down best lobster roll I've had!!!

They run out of everything! If you are going to go....go early even on a week day. More than half the food we wanted to order was sold out before 5. The lobster rolls were tasty but very pricey. It was nice that they had a few tables and chairs to eat outside but most of the tables were broken and very unstable. One pro is they are right next to a really fantastic ice cream shoppe.

Great traditional New England Lobster roll… over all good… little less butter and maybe a drop of salt/lemon would be better. Bread toasted was outstanding. Little pricy $$$ however for a “shack” type atmosphere. Glad we tried …

Pricy but WORTH EVERY PENNY. Cute shop with adorable staff. The lobster rolls were as fresh as they get. My husband wasn’t going to get one but I’m glad he changed his mind because I did not want to share. Coleslaw was delicious too, and I’m not usually a coleslaw fan.

Pricey at $32 for a lobster roll but it is by far the best in CT that we have had. Big chunks of lobster, toasted roll dripping with butter and home made coleslaw that is different and delicious. Outside dining but tables are limited at only 7 or 8. Friendly staff. Order inside and they deliver outside to you.
