I'm giving this 4 stars because I've been coming here on and off for several years and have always been wowed. Tonight they must have run out of food and GAF. Who's ever heard of etouffee with no rice and a muffaletta on a hoagie roll? Come on. Usually great. Tonight that $50 would have been better spent on one small hamburger and a coke at Five Guys.

Let me tell you how nice it was to pick up some Louisiana favorites and to get fresh pickled pork and tasso. Now my gumbo's and jambalayas will taste more authentic, so glad I was able to stop by and pick it up. And good note just around the corner is the dollar dumpling walk-up shop. Can't beat this spot in Chinatown.

First time here and it did not disappoint. Walked in after helping my family move. We ordered a (not completely accurate menu names) French fry poboy, surf turf pboy and muffuletta. I thought I was gonna save some left overs for when I got home.. didn’t even think about it after taking the first few bites, that poboy was delicious! We left nothing but the paper essentially (shown in last pic). The service was top tier, very cool and chill people who will make you feel welcomed. I believe the receipt said “Shaggy” (a guy with long hair and rad beard) who was cashiering, shout out to that dude, welcoming attitude and ready to help ya out at a moments notice! The vibes are good, the food is tasty, filling and not overpriced. Need I say more? I will definitely be back here again.

Mediocre. May be a little bit better than that. But definitely not soul food or true Louisiana cuisine. There’s some thing that’s just missing. The portions are filling. The beignets are way too thick. The rice and beans and jambalaya… Meh. Also had one of the sandwiches. Decent pulled pork. Location had several swarms of flies flying around the dining room

I was looking forward to trying this place after seeing all the good reviews. Maybe it was an off-day for them, but the shrimp po' boy was average at best. The breading was not only under-seasoned, but it kept falling off the shrimp, and the whole sandwich was a sloppy mess. Service was just okay. Being so pricey, I expected better.

I liked everything but the oysters, fried well so the skills are there. The oysters had gone bad (on both platters) and to me that's a big deal because you know before you cook seafood if it is rancid or not. It is unfortunate because I'm big on integrity and that alone will deter me from returning. No second chances (not worth the risk), as a google local guide my review has to be honest. Also, the fried shrimp on the platter are popcorn shrimp so don't expect medium size or anything like that. Also, they do not offer fried sweet potatoes like the Uber eats menu suggests so just keep in mind that it's not an option anymore. Someone from the restaurant called us to let us know and said they would add extra fries instead.

Had a wonderful experience here! Enjoyed the shop aspect (on the side), with authentic Louisiana hush puppy batter, craft beer, cafe du monde coffee, hot sauces etc. The food was bomb, just how you’d expect at a Po’ boy place in NOLA. I got the oyster fish (fried oysters, catfish) and my date got the fried shrimp po’ boy. Both were excellent; fresh bread, solid dressings, and hefty portions. Tasted great with hot sauce! All in all a great spot that I hope continues to thrive for years to come.

Having tried other New Orleans cuisine in the area, I have to say that this place falls a little short on the flavoring. The fried shrimp po-boy was okay at best. I liked the batter that was used on the shrimp, but the whole sandwich as a whole didn't have any spices or flavoring to it that made me want it more. The crawfish mac and cheese also felt the same way where the pasta wasn't packing any flavor, and the cheese didn't come through. It tasted like it was watered down and I was eating flavorless pasta with pieces of crawfish and oil. Sucks so bad, I wanted to like this place.

Chile fries- 4/5 the chile was 5/5 some pasta were overly salted. 4. Craw MacnCheese- 2/5 the pasta was bland needed more cheese. 5. Pretty bad. Some places outside of New Orleans think the secret of the cuisine is ridiculously hot seasoning. It isn't. A true shrimp po boy has a simple mayo, not a super spicy remoulade or whatever the sauce was. Also there was way too much red pepper in the batter. Nice host, but can't say anything else that was positive. Oh, my beer was nice and cold.
