Jenna was amazing she checked on another! Explained the menu to us! Very welcoming!! She deserves a raise!!!

This was my first fondue experience & it was amazing. The food was exceptional but the service from Jenna was even better! Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I will recommend this location, more importantly Jenna, to everyone I know!

The chocolate serving size was way less than the past.

Fun place to take the kids and try new things. Tiffany was very professional and engaging.

Be careful, try ,try not to overeat!! Order meals for 2 for 3or 4 people. Otherwise it's hard to breathe when leaving.

Birthday Dinner Our First Time There Fun experience

Jacob served us well for my Birthday Dinner. My wife and i had the complete dinner for 2. Everything was fantastic. We had the Wisconsin Cheese Appetizer, The Classic Entree and the Turtle Chocolate Dessert. We just had a great time.

Delicious food. Friendly and efficient service. Nothing to complain about!

My husband and I came here for a date night and we were very disappointed. We've been to multiple melting pots so we were excited to attend this location. Pros: Our server and the spinach artichoke dip was great. Cons: Old building and needs renovation, there was a wait to order food, our server brought corn chip to our table after we told her that I had a corn allergy (lucky my husband caught it) we ordered the cast iron cooking style and it did not come greased so all our food kept sticking to the pan and was dry, after we expressed this to the general manger she did not offer a discount due to the experience. All around we did not have a good experience, felt like we over paid for a kpot experience and will never return.

I wanted to write this review because this was my first visit to the Melting Pot. The atmosphere and service was great overall! I'll admit that I didn't taste a lot of the food. I can't eat a lot at one time, so, I was tasting and waiting for the next great course. So, with that being said, I only ate a few bites of my entree, knowing that I could have it later and still enjoy the experience of each course. I didn't know that when I cooked it all at the end that it wasn't going to be boxed up, like my cheese was placed in a container. I didn't realize it was gone until the leftover chocolate and little dippers were being boxed up. I don't want it to be a bad thing towards my server, because despite that mishap, she was great. I was disappointed though, considering the cost and I didn't get to taste everything. I get home to dip my cheese and didn't have dippers for that. A great tip is to let newbies know about the ability to bring home your entree and such. Overall, a wonderful experience!!

Our experience was flat-out amazing. We were celebrating a special occasion in our family and decided to go to the Melting Pot. The food was top notch fantastic and our server Skylar was constantly checking on us to make sure we had drinks, extra dippers, if we needed anything etc. Skylar helped make this special day for our family even more special. She is a diamond, and a true asset for the Melting Pot! 5-Stars all the way.

Shout out to Kay, a host, for making this a surprising lovely dinner for one. She gave me a four top near the window and mentioned how she likes to dine here solo sometimes too. Also, received excellent service from Connor and the food was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommend.

This place was so good and fun! We had the BFF 4 course special on Wednesday. The Classic cheese fondue was amazing (my favorite). The California salad was fresh and yummy. The meat entree was very good with the bouillon. The chicken was definitely the best! They lost a star for the dips. With two different types of steak it would have been great to have a bearnaise sauce. No one seemed to like the yogurt curry sauce. The 50/50 cocktail sauce with horseradish was good for me but way too hot for most. The others were okay but generally unremarkable. Luckily they were already seasoned and then cooking them in the bouillon was enough flavor where they really didn't need a dip anyway. The turtle fondue was also delicious. The choices we had for dipping in the dessert fondue where terrific and the perfect for the evening. It is way too much food but they do provide to-go boxes. I will return but will skip the entree and only have a three-course meal.

We've loved it both times weve been. We love the privacy of the booths. Only complaint is the size of the tables. It's like not having enough counter space cooking in the kitchen. I end up feeling anxious and claustrophobic after the 2 hour dinning experience and just ready to leave. But the food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Definitely nice for the experience and convenience.

Glad to see they’re back! I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy dining here. Extremely fresh veggies, fruits,breads, and meats . The changes they’ve made in response to Covid 19 , only enhance this experience.

Great place for a special night out. We went to happy hour at the bar. Server/bartender took great care of our ladies group. Fondues were yummy, and salad fresh. I do think the amount of fondue you get was a little small and I had my own pot. Wonder if you get more for two people? The stuff to dip in was good and glad they have gluten free choices as well. Chairs at bar comfy but hard to sit in and enjoy fully (but I have sensory issues so high bar chairs are my own issue. They were very comfy for bar chairs tho. Staff were great, atmosphere wonderful as well. Loved the cheese fondue and esp the chocolate fondue! I liked the colorful dipper sticks and how everything was plated. Only thing not worth it was the chocolate explosion. Cake was standard, not outstanding like other desserts. Fun effect and photo effect but a little overpriced. Overall very happy with this place. Will return for special celebrations and BFF nite/happy hour.

The fondue experience is amazing! The made date night so special. All the food is fresh! Once they turned on the AC,the atmosphere became very romantic. All the couples around us seemed to enjoy the night also. Our server was very attentive. Great birthday treat also!

Service is top notch. Food is delicious and the desert is by far the best in the Richmond area. Building is a little outdated and could use some touch up but that's quickly in the back of your mind once you start to indulge in all the goodies.

Everything was great as usual, but as I've noticed the past few times they rush you through the courses way too fast. Years ago you could take your time and enjoy your experience, but we weren't even done with one course and the next one came out. It forced me to eat way too fast and I felt sick afterwards. Our server was very sweet.

-Way overpriced. -Ordered the decoration package, literally added 3 roses in a mini vase for 30$. -No ambiance, you hear everyone talking. -Rude waiter -Pots came dirty, feels like they’re never washed. -Tables are dirty and sticky -No ventilation for the pots, you leave with an extremely bad smell, don’t plan to go out afterwards. -Don’t be fooled with the 5-course menu. -Definitely for a 200$/couple (without drinks) could have gone to a fine dining restaurant.

My husband and I went to The Melting Pot for the first time tonight, a place I’ve wanted to go to for years. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious, but the desert was disappointing. When we got our dessert and after eating some I noticed there was hair in it. We told the waitress who apologized and took our plate back. The manager came and offered us a discount on our dessert. The waitress brought us a new plate but we packed it to go. After getting home and getting situated we’re laying in bed enjoying the dessert when I discovered yet another hair (I’m trying to figure out what are the chances it would happen twice!?) on our dessert. The experience and service was fantastic but for a place as pricey as The Melting Pot, I wouldn’t expect a slip up like this to happen twice in one night.

Expensive, but for a once in a blue moon experience it was great.

Doesn't live up to the hype. Skip the main course go for the cheese fondue starter a salad then desert. FYI a glass of moscato with a orange slice in it is NOT a sangria. Entre' meats were so-so, nothing is seasoned, ask for their house brand seasoning, you'll need it if like tasting your food. Cheese and desert were great!.

Great vibes, great food, great drinks! Surprisingly good scotch selection. Gavin and Nich put in the WORK to make sure everything was perfect for us.

My first time here, Was here for Birthday, when sitted I was given a birthday card from the restaurant. It was a beautiful experience.

While we did not get to hunt or even kill our own dinner we did get to cook it ourselves over a little boiling pot with tiny forks. For a large restaurant the eating spaces were private enough for snuggling and moderate inappropriate shenanigans between courses. Bring an appetite! Thank you Matthew P for helping us figure this whole thing out and making for a perfect evening.

Absolutely perfect birthday dinner for my boyfriend! The food was delicious and accommodation were made for my shellfish allergy! Our server was Sean R and he was perfect, he catered to all our needs, had wonderful recommendations, and was great to talk to whilst also checking on us often!

Outstanding! This was my first visit to The Melting Pot. I took my husband for his birthday and we were celebrating our anniversary too. What an experience! The ambiance of the restaurant was incredible. We were seated in a booth that was tucked away and I felt like we were their only patrons. Our server Shawn helped make the night very special. He explained the menu and very patiently answered all of our questions. The food was so good. We opted for the four course dinner for two, and my husband had a cocktail that was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you are celebrating a special event.

Kitchen used cilantro instead of parsley on everything. Wife won’t eat cilantro and everything tasted off. Manager confirmed chef made a mistake, which is fine, but they only took about $25 off of bill. Won’t return.

Everytime I go here, the food and service is great! Also, if your kids get straight A's all year, they will give them a free meal. I definitely would recommend this restaurant for every occasion.

Me and my wife went here last Saturday for our 5 year dating anniversary and had the best time! I’ve had fondue regularly with my family but she hadn’t so it was a great experience and the staff made it super easy and fun to learn how to cook our own meal with the oil fondue and everything was delicious. Our waitress was Haley and she was nothing but class and so accommodating for us. Definitely recommend going here for a special occasion or date.

If the quality of food matched the service I would be a frequent fonduer here, but the quality of the food was poor. It felt as though a hospital tried to pull off fondue night... the first thing I noticed was the consistency of the melted cheese; warm clumpy snot... the dipping items were chewy bread and dry potatoes. The salad came with corporate seasoning; in fact much of the experience felt corporate and lacked authenticity. We got the big night out option and if you like low quality fish, meat and chicken boiled then this is your place. I'd rather them give us a microwave than hot corporate seasoned juice. Also the drinks were horrible... it tasted like someone's creepy uncle were making drinks for underage kids, way over sweetened to mask low grade alcohol, I don't know about you but I'm over that especially when I'm paying $150 for melting hospital food. Dessert was ok. I was happy to leave the melting nightmare I experienced. All in all... it's a fon-dont go for me folks.

Our server was unnecessarily rude. Since some of our party had never been they were a bit confused about how exactly things worked and were given rude remarks when they asked. We had asked why auto grad was added after tax and we’re told it was “just how our system works” which I have never seen personally seen before. Food was subpar and will not be visiting again.

This place is fantastic for celebrating special occasions. My wife and I try to eat here once a year for an anniversary or birthday. This year, we were celebrating my birthday. When we were asked if this was a special occasion, my wife quickly mentioned my birthday. Sure enough, they brought out a cute plate with Happy Birthday drawn on it along with a candle in a cupcake. We did not ask for this, just a kind and considerate gesture from the establishment. When I went to use the restroom, there was a sign in there suggesting a discrete way to make a romantic gesture. There is a code word to have a special gift brought to your table for a very reasonable price. I dont want to say more and spoil anything. My son is a very picky eater. He usually does not like foods with a lot of complex flavors. We were pleasantly surprised that he tried everything on offer. He really enjoyed the experience of cooking his own food. And the only dish he didn't love was the salad with blue cheese dressing.

Matthew was a phenomenal server. Knew the menu and what to suggest. Had alot of fun getting pictures where we were all visible. 10/10 would recommend. Food was delicious definitely try the broccoli in the mojo juice. Turtle chocolate was on point. Can't wait to come back!

The Melting Pot is a great date night option. I’ve been a number of times and each and every time, it’s like the first time. The atmosphere is so peaceful and quiet although it’s a restaurant. The staff are friendly And offer assistance if you’re new or need helping deciding. The drinks are good and not too strong. It’s truly money well spent. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and I think any option you choose truly is a great option, you won’t regret.

I used to love this place but life got in the way. Went back for the first time in about 5 years for what I hoped to be a cozy birthday dinner. Spoiler: hopes were dashed. The entire restaurant felt "tired" and a little shabby. For example, one seat in our corner booth had so little support that noone would sit there. My resulting seat directly faced another table. Felt like a creeper when a family with young children was seated. Cheese was delicious, salads were meh and meats were highly seasoned and generous quantity but of questionable quality. We passed on dessert and opted to go elsewhere. Service was perfunctory. Great food or service could have saved the night but the only winner was the cheese. We spent over $100 before tip. I wouldn't recommend Melting Pot for anything except cheese and drinks at the bar and most definitely wouldn't return for a special event.

First things first, our server Nicholas was outstanding, he explained everything and went above and beyond for me and my lady. It was my first time ever visiting and it was my 20th birthday, to end the night he gave me a plate with a happy birthday carved out in icing and he put a candle into a piece of bread on top of ice cream. Not only that, but he offered to take a picture of me and my lady to remember the night that I had. I 100% recommend this place and the food. It is a fancy restaurant I’d say, but it’s worth your while if you’re into experiencing new foods and atmospheres.

We have had many good experiences at this Melting Pot in the past, but not this time. We went early and hoped for a relatively quiet and romantic birthday dinner, but despite our requests to sit at one of the many, many tables suitable, we were forced to sit in a small, crowded and loud section - not the romantic experience that Melting Pot advertises. Our cheese fondue came premade from the kitchen and not hot - and not that good once it warmed up. The dipping bread was stale and the vegetables were overcooked. The chocolate fondue was fine once it heated up so the night wasn’t a total disaster. It will definitely be our last time going to this restaurant. UPDATE: The manager was very apologetic and sent us a gift certificate for another visit. We will try again!

The desert was the best part of the meal. Waiter did not explain that there is a more extensive wine list available when he saw us struggling to make a choice from the standard options.

Hadn't been here in years but went on the spur of the moment when I learned that one of my visiting friends had NEVER had fondue. Just HAD TO FIX THAT...so off we went to HAPPY HOUR ... to experience the tasty cocktails and the ooey-gooey deliciousness of cheese fondues! We had the Classic Alpine on principal ( since she had never had one) and tried another more spicy one as well. We sat at the bar and had excellent service 👌 from our friendly bartender, Jacob T. He can make a killer cocktail and will take good care of you! The prices are a bit steep here...but you are really paying for the experience and atmosphere as much as the food. We plan to return and go for the full meal experience in the near future. Give them a try for something different, fun, and delicious . (Why not start with the HAPPY HOUR? ;) )

Our waiter Jacob was phenomenal. This is the second visit in a row where we were blessed to have him as our waiter, and intend on requesting him from now on. The food as always was exceptional and the atmosphere is always great. Not highly recommend this for a great dinner with a date, family or friends.

We dined at Melting Pot for our daughter’s Sweet 16. Our server, Jacob, made our experience a very memorable one! His customer service, friendly disposition and knowledge of the menu was on point and very helpful for us newbies. We ended the night with a picture of Jacob, my daughter and her friends!
