What wonderful experience we had visiting " The Mighty Axe 's WATL sanctioned Axe Throwing competition at the Ventura fairgrounds .So exciting to see and play along side some the world's best Axe champions, all of which were very helpfull ,kind and supportive .A specials thanks to Ryan the owner of The Mighty Axe ,Dustin who managed the event and his excellent staff who went over and above the normal in helping secure our reservations , promply responding to any hitches or problems that came up .These people are awesome and deserve the recognition for putting together such an amazing event.What a great pleasure it was to particiapate with all of you in the best sport and entertaiment events I could experience. My friend and I went today to give our hand at axe throwing, and had an amazing time! The staff were super nice, and though we didn’t order anything they brought us water. The games were super fun, the instruction was helpful, and it was overall a great experience. Would highly recommend going!

Great experience. They provide a digital experience where you can choose different games to play from a tablet while throwing axes to make it fun an interesting. These games are projected on the wall and this gives you a hand full of different challenges suitable for all ages and abilities.

We've been axe throwing at numerous places in CA and TN. This place is bar far the best. Most places just have a standard setup/board to throw at. The Mighty axe had way more. When you get there, the front room is more like a lounge at a resort. Bar, fireplace, tables to play games at, etc. In the back there are pinball machines and numerous axe throwing lanes. I think most axe throwing places are like going to the driving range. You have the setup and hit but going to Top Golf there is so much more. This place is similar to the top golf vibe and they have numerous games you can play when axe throwing. Tic-tac-toe, zombie, connect 4, cricket, etc. So, not just throwing at the traditional board. The staff was super friendly, helpful and got us going on time. It was a great team building outing for my crew.

We had an awesome visit this weekend at the mighty axe! Joey was extremely helpful with giving us tips to get the axes to stick and how to aim better,and our bartender Autumn gave us amazing suggestions of beer, I got the seasonal sour from casa agria and it's safe to say it's my new favorite. Definitely will be back!

Big shoutout Joey and Autumn for being hospitable. Honorable mention to their newest hire Maddie (Maddy… I’m trying, here ok!). She was tons of fun and an awesome addition to their team!

This place is great! Awesome atmosphere, fun axe-throwing games to play and wide beer selection. Autumn is a fantastic bartender and Gavin was great at teaching us how to throw axes and explaining the rules. Highly reccomend a visit!

Our reservation was 12:45. First time . I love the atmosphere ! Like a cabin in Wisconsin. Axeing was so fun . We will go back . The axepert and bartender ( forgot their names ) both had outstanding customer service. They had Campari, my favorite drink! I would go just to have a drink & sit at the cozy bar. A very fun experience and a must try !

I took my dad here for a late Father’s Day gift. It was SUCH a fun, friendly, clean, amazing place! We will be back for sure!

We really enjoyed our date night here - we didn't order anything so I don't have any feedback in that regards, but we will be back for sure. Loved the vibe, enjoyed the experience. A touch pricey which will keep us from coming more often than we'd like but overall we loved it!

Such a fun date night :) I was nervous it was going ti be hard and it was actually really easy once I got the hang if it and their interchangeable screens keep it interesting. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back soon!

Our family came today for multi-generational axe throwing and had a blast! We loved the vibe of the space. There are some great pinball machines in addition to the ax throwing. Due to a shoulder injury, I need accommodations; the staff was super helpful and made me feel comfortable and showed me how to throw to maximize my experience. We will for sure be back!

Joey, our instructor, was so friendly, patient, & accommodating. In our party of 7, only 1 of us had axed for sport before. By the end of our hour session, we were all killing it lol! Awesome atmosphere that’s relaxing and inviting with a very clean bathroom. They have TouchTunes jukebox that’s so easy with a free app. Loved axing to my fav Metallica! Jensen set us up in the bar, which you can take drinks to your axing station. We for sure will spread the word and go again! 🪓🙌🏽

It's a great place for local craft beer and axe throwing. The bartender and staff go above and beyond to ensure you feel welcomed and have a great time! Great prices! I did an hour of ax throwing, but I easily could have done two!! Check out all the different ax throwing games they have.

When I visited last a few years ago, and had a great time. I went again yesterday, and the new improvements made the experience even more fun. The staff was very kind and helpful and the drinks were delicious. I will definitely be coming back here with my family.

We had a great time. We had a group of 10. It was easy to reserve our spots. Staff was very helpful and understanding. We had scheduled for 7:00 but were running late on dinner. They we are able to reschedule us for 8. It was our first time axe throwing. We were a little nervous about axe bouncing back at us. Jordan however explained all the rules and reassured us we would not get hurt as long as we followed rules. All the staff were very kind and helpful. After our session we stayed and played some of their games on location. Thanks for a great time and great service. Ohhhh I didn’t rate food since we didn’t order food ;)

We did not have food on this visit, but it smelled wonderful and the whole experience was great overall! Will definitely be back for date night soon enough!

I am moving to Florida in 2 weeks. So I decided to take my best friend of 35 years and go through some axes. We had such an awesome, wonderful, incredible, amazing time. Didn’t know the food was sold at mellow so it came to us cold, but the overall Service with the the long wait time for food wasn’t that big of a deal. “Axeperts” were very nice and attentive. Would recommend to anyone.

The fella gave us an extra 20 minutes. So imma give em 5 stars across the board. Ty.

Was very excited to see there was an axe throwing venue on the north side of town. We had tons of fun and the drink menu was great. Service was outstanding, everybody was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family 10/10

From start to finish our experience was underwhelming. The customer service was terrible with the exception of the person that helped check us in & help us with our reservation-She gets 5 stars. Aside from that, the bartender took 25 minutes to get my husband and I our drinks. (Initially we asked for a minute to order because the rest of our friends were in the restroom but they returned within 5 minutes.) Initially when my friends all sat at the bar one of my friend was tired & because of that she was denied drinks. Our group decided to try to continue our night anyways since we had a reservation. After about 45 minutes of being denied the first time she went up to the bar again to try to order asking the bartender if she was okay to drink now and was denied again. 40 more minutes later my friend and I went to the bar for Jell-O shots for our group and she asked if it was for the group that had the girl she had denied service to and I was honest, yes it was for our group & I let her know that my friend didn’t have anything to drink for the day. The bartender replied stating that my friend was sleeping at the bar and slurring her words & overheard my friend talking about how tired she was. We decided to only order 6 for the remaining people in our group to avoid conflict. Upon paying and leaving the bar, the bartender followed us & “low key” told the bouncer to watch us to make sure she did not consume the shots we had. This made us extremely uncomfortable as they made it very obvious & almost seemed eager to kick us out. Then right after that we overheard her gossiping about the entire interaction with her coworkers which further made us uncomfortable.

Joey our Axepert helped us learn the proper technique of throwing and showed us how to use the iPad and switch to different types of game modes. Jensen was very quick at providing drinks for everyone and was really friendly.

Came in sleepy, had a long day of work, and had my head down initially because we had an hour to spare for our session of axe throwing. I ordered a water initially, and was ID’d from the get go for it due to being at a bar. Tried ordering alcohol for me and my mates, and was turned down for not being in the right head space? 50 mins later, friends try ordering us all Jell-O shots and apparently I still can’t have any due to me slurring my speech, which never happened. They need better bartenders, who don’t judge people. I was able to throw sharp axes, but can’t drink? Discrimination at its finest.

Had a great time here with a big family group! Our axepert was super friendly, checking in on us frequently and giving us tips to get better. I really liked all the different game options, way more than I've seen at other similar locations. Their drinks list was surprisingly extensive too, so many options for lots of different preferences. We had a wide range of ages and levels, and everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back, especially to try out the outdoor spaces!

This place is great. What's not to love about beer and throwing axes? Justin was our "axepert", and was excellent. If you're looking for something fun to do, definitely come here and ask for Justin. Not only does he give great service, but he's an amazing coach. He helped us hone our skills until we were sticking the target the whole time. Can't wait to come back and have him turn us into experts.

We were a party of 8 for a birthday celebration. First timers. We had a blast. This place gave us a good impression. Clean and beautiful atmosphere. The staff were so nice and friendly! There was a mix up with our food. We placed an order for several pizzas which one had to be Vegan. It was not. The staff fixed it by ordering a fresh vegan pizza. We just felt bad for our vegan friends who waited a LONG time for their pizza to be corrected and watch the rest of us eat. I wish they would've put their pizza as priority but were very apologetic. Other than this mishap, we all had a great time.

First time my son and I visited. Justin was our axepert. Made sure we understood how to throw and checked in on us several times. We will be coming back for sure.

The Mighty Axe was awesome! Took our 11 and 12 year old daughters and they had a BLAST! This is an awesome place to come hang, have a beer, (they also have craft soda for the kids!) and have fun! The instructors are great and thoroughly review the sport and even show off some of their skills. Justin was awesome and made sure we were entertained all night. Highly recommend for date nights and family nights.

Our power was out on the Naval base so we spent the day exploring and our first stop was The Mighty Axe. Super great atmosphere and we sat on the side bar like we always do and played games while we had a beer! Bartender was very nice.

We visited the Oxnard location and had a fantastic evening. It was the perfect place for a date night. They have lots of different games to choose from. We especially enjoyed trying to hit pictures of each other's faces. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. It was worth every penny. We will definitely be returning.

Celebrated with neighbors on New Year's Eve and had a blast! Mitchell was our server in the VIP lounge for our party of 11 and didn't skip a beat! He was patient and knowledgeable about both axe throwing AND cocktails! And he handled our wild bunch with humor and professionalism. So happy to have this activity in our neighborhood at High Street in Desert Ridge. Highly recommend!
