The Moon is a gem in downtown, offering a creative selection of drinks like lavender lattes and mochas. You can enjoy a delish selection of pasteries from The Lazy Lady. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, but what truly shines is the service. Brett and Kelly go above and beyond, making each visit special with their warmth and expertise. I consider myself a regular and enjoy every visit.

Customer service was great (I believe from the owner), and the drink itself was great and well thought out. I especially thought pricing was fair considering other coffee shops in town with higher pricing for lower quality product.

Coffee was delicious and fairly priced! The owner was very friendly and welcoming, he answered our questions and gave helpful recommendations.

Wish I would’ve taken a pictures of my drinks, both were such a pretty color! High quality teas at a very affordable price. Service was amazing, Brett was really knowledgeable about all the teas, let me smell all the different ones and even brought me out a second tea to try. All the other staff were so friendly and socializing with the other guests, you can tell it’s a great environment. Great spot to stop in for a tea to-go or to sit and socialize!

Awesome espresso drinks and teas. Try the Pink Moon. The atmosphere is excellent. A couple of leather seats near the window full of pants.

This place is usually packed because the atmosphere is comforting and the drinks are delicious. The barista is delightful and courteous. I love this place and recommend people here all the time.

The family and myself absolutely love that Moon has all sorts of varieties to choose from including Lattes, cappuccinos, regular coffee, and more. Also vegetarian options. I like to try their special seasonal drinks, they’re phenomenal and will send you ‘over the moon.’ The baristas make it from their hearts here you can tell after that first slurp. Not like Starbucks chain where everything tastes the same. So happy to support this business and if you’re ever in downtown Jc or right off Highway 26, you definitely need to stop in. The atmosphere is laid back, comfortable and the employees are super welcoming!

This is one of those places I wish I could hide for myself, but I'm glad other people know about it. The coffee is amazing, but the tea is so good you will actually want to switch it up. Brett is amazing - he is passionate and knowledgable about what he does. Most of them time, I will come in having no idea what I want so we will go back and forth Q&A to figure it out. He never misses! All of the staff are friendly and well-trained. The only thing is it's a bit tight on space, but they've done an amazing job with local artwork, lots of plants plants and large windows to create a welcoming environment. The chai and the einspanner are musts!!

Like the vibe of this place although it was super noisy. Nice selection of coffee and tea. I felt bad for the barista since she was the ONLY person there to make drinks while the owner sat around talking to people and enjoying his drink, not helping. That says a lot. I’m sure the locals dig this place..

Nice little spot on a side street just up from a larger shopping ctr (I think - I'm not a local) with one of the better Mexican mocha lattes I've had - just right on the spice for my tastes. Barista, who may have also been the owner, was thoughtful and helpful with suggestions. Pretty certain he's serious about his coffees and teas because I don't often see a lot of places with a Vietnamese roast and such a variety of teas. It's worth a few minutes of your day.

Quaint, hipster cafe, providing ambient lighting, earthy green plants, and the therapeutic aromatics of tea spices. Things you should know: I. PARKING The closest available parking is the 2 hour, free street parking. There are typically quite a few parallel spaces available off of the nearby perpendicular street (Colonial Way). II. SERVICE The staff is kind, timely, and open to giving recommendations. They provide sugar free syrup options for my friends that like guiltless options to mix-up their standard beverages. III. QUALITY I haven't had the tea to vouch for the quality but the cappuccino I had was up to par in flavor and gave me the boost I needed ~ highly recommend. IV. CAPACITY Fairly busy for the afternoon on a weekday. Almost every seat was taken. This place appears to be good for camping out, studying, and knocking out work.

Coffee was excellent. This spot in downtown JC provides that perfect atmosphere I look for in a coffee shop.

Me and my wife were driving through town and needed a place with wifi to stop and work for the day. This was the PERFECT spot. The coffee was fantastic, atmosphere is great for work and studying, and the workers were very kind. I’d highly recommend this place.

My new favorite coffee shop is town. The coffee is good, the atmosphere is chill and unassuming and welcoming. Perfect for an afternoon chill spot and good conversation. Update: STILL my favorite coffee shop in town. Try the cardamom latte or the Vietnamese Coffee. Perfection! If you're a tea drinker, go visit. They have so many choices that even this coffee lover likes! Oh, and their Chai is the real deal.

Kareoke, lots of pool tables music , huge wrap around bar and upstairs. What more could you ask for.

Brett is so nice! Me and a friend came here to study today, and throughout the couple of hours we were here, he was taking care of multiple customers while connecting with them. He was so friendly and went above and beyond to take care of his customers!

Would give 4.5! The Mexican latte was very good but the mocha vietnamese coffee was alright. The service was great and there is plenty of seating. There is only street parking available which was difficult to find.

Great experience. Dirty chai was so good and more chai flavor compared to most. Also ordered a hibiscus tea but upon recommendation tied another combination with hibiscus that added a sweeter honey flavor and it was fantastic!!!

One of the best coffee shops in have been to.. there are varieties of teas and coffees.. with many flavours and spices… just loved it.. also a nice place to do office work. Prett is very nice guy to talk to about teas and flavours… 👍🏻 If u are ever here.. try tulasi and kashayam herbal tea.

One of my new favorite places in JC. We just recently discovered this little gem downtown and have already been back multiple times. The coffee is probably the best I have had in JC and I drink a lot of coffee! Especially love the Coffee Miel and the Lavender Vanilla Latte. The drink menu is pretty extensive but so far I haven't branched out to try anything else because these are so good. The vibe is really nice; quiet and lowkey which is good for staying awhile and working on my laptop. The owner is super friendly and attentive. Several times, I have been offered samples of something if he made too much. Excellent experience every time!

The best specialty coffee I have ever had. I enjoyed the Cinnamon White Mocha. Staff was very friendly, accommodating, and fast.

Stopped here while passing through Tennessee on a road trip. Got the Vietnamita and wanted it to last forever. Every sip made my mouth happy. When the cup was finally empty, I checked the local job market and price of rent nearby. It was that good. The barista who helped us was very kind and had great suggestions for items on the menu. Atmosphere was cozy and relaxed.

My fiancé and I came upon this place just passing through. We got the cardamom latte and Vietnamita. These were so tasty on every level! We get a lot of coffee, and this is probably the best coffee shop I have ever been to. In addition to amazing and unique menu items, the shop is so cute and cozy. I wish I didn't live hundreds of miles away!

The owners are wonderful and friendly, and really care about the quality of their drinks! Absolute favorite place to go in JC for coffee. The vietnamita is my favorite! Looking forward to trying the matcha, it’s wonderful they have ceremonial grade. Edit: The matcha latte is so good!!

This place is exactly what Johnson City needs. An authentic locally owned small business. The Moon caters to everyone and welcomes everyone. The atmosphere is relaxing and calming. The coffee and tea are not only delicious, but prepared fresh daily and in house. The Moon even serves as a listening room for great local musicians. Brett (the owner) is to credit for creating such a wonderful place. Thank you! A true gem that reminds us of what Johnson City has to offer!

My go to spot to read and study. Really good quality tea and coffee options and in my opinion the best chai latte in the area. Truly above and beyond customer service. Relaxed, welcoming atmosphere during the day that occasionally transforms into a dance floor, listening room, or yoga studio after hours. The Fall menu is on point right now and I highly recommend the cinnamon whipped cream.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The service was friendly and helpful. The prices were fair. I ordered the cardamom latte and it was delicious. The gentleman mentioned there was no hard feelings and offered to make me another drink in the event I didn’t like the cardamom. I highly recommend!!
