The Original Village Pizza in Spring Hill - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

This place was fine back in 89 but today it needs to go away! Now to be honest normally I am not unfair to local businesses "Hey We All Gotta Make A Living Right" but this place is filthy and the food is sub par. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra 20 miles and go to Giannis in Hudson. Giannis is always slammed packed so be prepared for a possible wait if you plan on dining in or call ahead for reservations. As A NY transplant of 30 yrs I can honestly claim that Giannis is as close to A real NY pie as I have come across thin flavorful crust perfectly seasoned sauce the cheese is spot on also and its cooked to perfection. No I am not employed by Giannis :)

Well the last time I left a review was 3 years ago and that was 1 star now I wish I could leave no stars this place had gone to hell the old owners reopened it and got it started up again then they left it up to a crew of young punk losers to run and they have the worst attitude they just don't care at all about the business because it's not there business more than half the time they don't bring the whole order they always leave something behind and it's just not worth the trouble having to deal with the little wise ass pricks when there are so many better pizza restaurants around try titos very good nice people no attitude at one time village was the best but that time had gone I'd love to see it close down again sorry John, Ernie, and even Guido it's too bad none of you cared enough to babysit the punks at night and I didn't even mention how bad the quality has gotten its all true

The food was subpar. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich. With lettuce mayonnaise, salt pepper, I got plenty of lettuce.I got plenty of Bread but no chicken sandwich sucked

I love this pizzeria they are so friendly and welcoming the food is absolutely delicious we make it every Friday Night is Pizza Night in my home. My 2 year Old son loves there pizza he doesn't care for other places but this pizza place he eats 1 to 2 slices. The people there make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Everyone say hello and chat with you and asks me how's the family I feel like I'm apart of there family as well. If anyone has anything bad to say about the food or staff they are losers and don't know a good thing when it's in there face. What happened? Did new owners take over recently? When the pizza shop reopened 2 yrs ago. It was back to originally way. Today pizza and wings delivered. The pizza was horrible. It was like placed in a microwave prior being delivered? Barely any sauce and the bread was crap. Tasted like a frozen pizza you get from the store.

Ordered a couple steak and cheeses, mozzarella sticks and a antipasto salad and it was awful. The steak and cheeses were soggy, mozzarella sticks over cooked and had no cheese in it and the salad was gross. My family was very upset. I've tried a lot of pizza places in the area and this is by far the worst

This was my favorite pizza place for 15 years and this was the absolute worst pizza ever. The sauce tasted like they had dumped a whole bag of sugar in it. The pizza crust was like cardboard, and the pizza was burned and had big black crispy bubbles on the top of it. This used to be the “go to” place in Hernando County for the best NY style pizza, unfortunately that’s just not the case any longer. The food has gone down hill, the customer service is lacking, & prices have skyrocketed. Not to mention owner has wiped out all “Original” staff, can’t help but think that’s why the place just isn’t the same anymore.

Ordered thru delivery service, and a pizza was missing. I called the restaurant directly, because we didn't want a refund, we wanted delicious pizza. They were super nice and delivered our missing pizza, and it was delicious. Thank you!

Small thin crust pizza with mushrooms was absolutely delicious!

Without a doubt, you’re going to get delicious food at this restaurant. As usual, I couldn't decide what to eat, but I found two pizzerias open until 10 PM one of those being the original village pizza. Originally called asking if they could accommodate e a white sauce on their Sicilian but was told by the lady on the phone they couldn’t as they all come with a red sauce. A little disappointed at that but that didn’t scare us away. After ending that call, we continued looking at the menu and finally came to a a decision on what we wanted by 9:30. When I called the first thing we requested to order was a Sicilian pizza, was told it was too late for them to make it since they closed in 30 minutes that left us kind of stuck considering that was the main reason of ordering. The lady on the phone ultimately ended up accommodating our request and promised to make it for us this time. I genuinely want to thank them for this, as it was the best decision we made. We arrived at the restaurant around 9:55, just five minutes before closing. The Sicilian pizza came out shortly after, looking amazing. We went home and devoured the Sicilian pizza, chicken Parmesan sandwich, and garlic bread, all of which we highly recommend. This Italian spot is absolutely great, and I would recommend it over any other in the area.

There is no better pizza around. The pizza is delicious, good classic thin crispy crust.

It's an addiction once you start you can't stop. The pizza tastes just like back home. The strombolis are huge and filled to the brim. Calamari is perfectly crispy and full of edible pieces. The Sicilian pizza was light and full of toppings and sauce just the way we like it. This pizzeria has that old school taste and feel. The cheese steak is next on the list.

Pizza was good. However, it is more expensive than their competition and I don't it's that much better to pay as much as I did for a plain medium cheese. Also, they charge an extra fee for using a credit/debit card over paying in cash. Their competition doesn't do that

I've been going to Village Pizza for years. Lately the quality has been subpar and hasn't lived up to the Village Pizza name. Tonight was by far the worst. I can forgive the food being over 30 minutes late but the quality of food was awful. Everything was room temperature at best and the shredded cheese on the cheese bread, and both sandwiches wasn't even melted. Whatever changed recently please undo and go back to the old ways

I just moved back to the area after four years and couldn't wait to get Village pizza again. I got the pizza and wing special and an antipasto salad. The salad was good, the wings were ok at best and the pizza seemed to be at least a few minutes undercooked. Very disappointing

My BFF loves this little unobtrusive pizzeria. I cannot indulge thaks to a dairy allergy, but every time I pick up her order it smells like a bit of heaven.

The best pizza web we've had since Gardinos Pizza in Chicago! It might be a tie. We ordered the medium Village special with a few modifications in toppings. The sweet lady who took our order was very friendly and accommodating with our substitutions! She even came out to our car to make sure she got it right! We would definately choose Village Pizza again! The toppings were fresh and the pizza was delicious. Did I mention that the medium was more like a large pizza from other places! It was easily enough for 4 or 5 people! I highly recommend Village Pizza!

Everyone at Village pizza is so nice. Fresh quality ingredients make a difference, and we make it a point to order at least once a week. Their pizza reminds us of the pizza place that used to be at Tampa Bay center years ago. Thanks for being one of our comfort foods. 💛 😋

Not only is the food OUTSTANDING, but the customer service is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I can proudly say they go above, and beyond to ensure their customers are happy. I am highly satisfied with this place, and would gladly recommend them to everyone I know.

I've lived in town for nearly 30 years and used to get pizza here when I was a kid and when they reopened, I had to come back and try it. I'm happy to report it's better then I remembered and is my favorite pizza place in town to eat at!

Pizza had good flavor but not what I ordered. I ordered large pizza extra cheese light baked with no extra oregano sprinkled. Got oregano sprinkled, normal baked and no extra cheese. Now that's not the problem. The problem is I paid for a pizza that looks like it went through a little Caesars or Costco oven. No legit pizza place that conciders itself as good would ever havearks under the pizza that are cross hatched like this unless they useda metal tray.

Called at 630pm on 2/29/24. The lady that answered the phone said Village Pizza and put the phone down on the counter 5 minutes later she picked up the phone and took my order I ordered pizza and wings nothing crazy. I was told one hour to an hour and 40 minutes . Sat at home for an hour and a half waiting for the pizza. When I when I finally got tired of waiting I called at that time and she told me that the driver should be back shortly to pick up your pizza they are more than 20 minutes from my house and my pizza had not even left. This is absolutely unacceptable if you know that your business is that busy hire more drivers keep your customers happy and they'll come back make them wait an hour and a half and have zero expectation of anything to come back is terrible. I told the lady who answered the phone please refund my money she didn't say I'm sorry she didn't say anything apologetic at all and she hung up the phone don't recommend this place to anybody.

I’m not sure if they are understaffed or what the problem is. I use to order from here all the time, the past few times I was on hold for 10 minutes sometimes more and could hear everyone screaming in the background. I usually order for delivery and last time they told me it would be an hour and 1/2 wait so I did pick up told me 35 minutes I got there and I still had to wait 20 minutes. My pizza was extremely greasy and burnt the sauce and toppings wasn’t even all the way to the end. My chicken parm was burnt and dried out. I’m not sure if it’s because I called around 8pm that they just rushed it. I called back and they told me they would call me back because they were busy. Never called back I called again the next day (wed) they told me to call again the following day I did and they told me the manager wasn’t in. It’s been a complete run around. Not sure if I’ll be ordering again. My advice is go inside and order and just wait that way you can watch them prepare the food.

If this is the best pizza in town, then we are in trouble :) but if you’re running low on your insulin, this place will definitely help. Pizza sauce needs less sugar and Toooo thick. Parmesan and oregano would not be needed on perfect slice of pizza.

Been ordering 1-2x per week with the previous owners and continued with the new owners after they reopened. Pizza sauce is slightly different but still good. My order usually includes 2 large pizzas one is a specialty pizza with xtra cheese and ground beef/meatball and no mushrooms. They almost always and I mean always get it wrong. No extra cheese, or no extra meat, leaving the mushrooms on and twice I swear extra mushrooms. I don’t know who’s at fault, the girl who takes the order or the cook who doesn’t read it, but I’ve had enough. I even stopped for a while choosing to order from slice of life and when I came back, same thing. I hate the texture of mushrooms.
