Never don't stop. Ya hear? Look. I'm a california native. I've seen these stickers here and there just put of the blue at the most random places for years. Never paid any mind to it until I passed it. The legends are true. The reviews here where people are complaining about the prices and bad food, they're the people that you'd never take advice from in a million years. They're adults that insist boneless wings ARENT adult chicken nuggets if you catch my drift... Look. My pictures should say it all but the legend is alive and real. And worth the extra pennies at the bottom of your purse. Thank you so much peg house, please keep doing what you're doing. I'd like this to be my pit spot for life.

Delicious gourmet burgers, tasty draft beers and cider, and often has live local music. And beautiful garden with tables.

Fun, self-contained roadside eatery on the highway. There was live music on the Sunday we visited, and the place was popping. Expected more quaint/small town vibes, but was an overt tourist trap. Quite the cash-grab: $70 for 2 people to eat what was only a little nicer than fast food. It was an experience. If I were to stop again, it would only be for the oysters: they were phenomenal.

I had the apricot Brie chicken sandwich. Manly had the classic chicken, no mayo or onion. We shared an order of the pasta salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. Manly gave it an enthusiastic "good". Cute little patio area to dine in with lots of flowers and veggies. Beware the pollinators. A definite must stop and I would like to eat there again.

A humble roadside spot, but home to the best oysters I’ve ever had in my life. The courtyard opens up to live music and community events and the shop has everything you made need. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere. Too bad we forgot to order grilled oysters, but the Cajun hotdog is really good. I’m not a meat lover but I love their meat. It’s that good. After yesterday’s THE WORST dining experience at Crescent Seafood, I feel like good businesses deserve good reviews. They treat their customers right.

Stopped in for supplies on a road trip- delightful stop with a wide selection of items. Didn’t try the attached restaurant but it smelled great!

The burger here was ABSOLUTELY scrumptious! We came here on a recommendation, and it did not disappoint. Their little gift shop is a maximalist dream, chalked full of fun knick knacks, gifts, clothes, toys, food, and trinkets of all kinds! I could've been in there for hours looking at everything. Whenever I turned around, I saw something new. The gal at the counter was very nice, too. The only thing I'd mention is that the majority of the items didn't have the price listed on them. The food here was hands down some of the best I've had in a while. There were plenty of options from beef to chicken and even a salmon burger, too. If you're more in the mood for a hot dog, they have it! If you're thinking of oysters, they have those, too! I had the Sunset Burger and their rootbeer. The burger overall had a great flavor, and the toasted bun was perfect for holding together the juicy patty and all the toppings! Im a sucker for a place that uses good lettuce and tomatoes, and they definitely did. Also, there's live entertainment! It was a blast listening to live music while spending time with my family and enjoying some good food. This is such a fun place to stop after spending some time on the river or trecking through the redwoods. I'd say skip the flashy showy tourist stops and come here! "Never Don't Stop"!

Never don't stop! This is a great place to stop while driving the 101. Whether it be for a quick pit stop of miscellaneous groceries or a stop in the courtyard for a delicious burger and live music.

Was a perfect stop on our drive back to SF from the Avenue of the Giants. The food was delish and it was so nice to sit outside in the garden

This is a great stop! Good food good vibes and a fun gift shop. Wish they would update the restrooms as they have seen better days but I’d have to say I do love to stop here regardless. NEVER DONT STOP!

Love the atmosphere, food, and people here. This little place feels alive, like it's got a soul of it's own. Also love all the native plants they sell, if I weren't on a road trip I'd certianly buy a couple. I'll certainly be coming back in the future.

Definitely a great little place to stop for lunch if you're in the area. The prices are decent and the food is damn good. Great selection of potables as well. There is a little gift shop attached that has souvenirs from the area as well as camping basics and snacks and drinks.

A great store with live music on the large patio. They have the best deli sandwiches in the store but it's not advertised very well so you have to look for them. Order at the checkout counter.

You simply must stop here if you are driving by. They are beyond dog friendly and will give you water and free treats. The BBQ oysters were crazy good and don’t even get me started on the burgers with arugula and Brie. Mac salad was killer too as was the coleslaw. Portions are great and price can’t be beat. Lovely patio and vibes all around.

This place is one of many that hold many good memories of traveling with my family. Big foot lives nearby here too!

They have a great gift shop, deli, coffee shop, and outdoor barbecue restaurant with outdoor seating amidst their raised bed gardens. There is often live music in the spring through fall. They have accessible restrooms and a hiking trail nearby.

Delicious spot for dinner on a bike tour. Veggie burger and chicken sandwich were amazing and hear the burgers are even better.

5/16/24: beef was tasty, but the entire sandwich was SLATHERED in a disgusting amount of mayo. It was literally oozing out of the sides. Sandwich was put together very sloppily, like they were in a rush & everything was thrown on. Cashier was nice but I didn’t like how he asked the lady in front of me if she wanted to leave a tip on her credit card. There’s already a sign posted to let cashier know if you want to leave a credit card tip. You order food at the counter and then pick it up when they call your name/clear your own trash (which is fine). Not sure what the requested tips are for?? I always tip 20% if there are servers (none here - also fine). Bathrooms are in a separate building through the walkway entrance marked with the restroom sign. No soap which is disgusting for a food establishment! Burger (includes small cup of slaw) & drink came out to around $18 including tax. Was looking forward to trying them out based on the reviews. Disappointed.

Amazing food! I highly recommend either the burger or grilled chicken sandwich with the Brie cheese and apricot jam which is an amazing combination. Their root beer on tap is also delicious. Everyone working here was extremely friendly too!

Never don't stop. So much goodness! Used to be a nasty gas station deli a long time ago, now it's an oasis of groove! Grass fed burgers ( hungry?, try a BigFoot Burger!) , Great deli sandos , and inside the store are SO many fun and useful items! Everything you need for a day on the river or a nite at the campground. Their SOLARADE ( tea and lemonade) is a must on a hot day! Awesome outdoor patio with great planters full of a hodge podge of plants, live music at times, and old growth Redwoods AND Eel River! Any questions?

Food here it's amazing, definitely a must stop The place is a little confusing at first, it looks like just a souvenir store, but to the left from door, there's a patio area where you can get food and have tables for you to seat and eat. The lemonade is great, and burgers are just amazing. Bathrooms are located in the farthest building to the left. And there's more, for the bird watchers, you can find a family of acorn woodpeckers that lives in the yard and they are very talkative too

Just passing trough and stopped in for a quick bite before heading on south for the eclipse viewing. The Spicy tarter sauce was the real thing, excellent on his world famous catfish

Why would you ever not stop here?

We came here in the middle of our drive. I looked it up and it has good reviews. So we decided to give it a try. The staffs were friendly. It’s all outdoor sitting but you can find space that has shade. It’s very comfortable to sit there. We got Cajun dog and Apricot jam burger. The burger is sooo good and both are bigggg. We also got the freshly squeezed lemonade. It’s on the sweater side but it’s refreshing. The blackberry sundae is addicting! At first, I didn’t really like it, but I enjoyed it after a couple more scoops. Visit here if you wanna go Legget :)

Definitely one of my favourite stops anytime I’m near Leggett. In the summertime there is a marvellous garden and a great group of guys who play music and so you can’t help but spend a few hours if you have the time while you enjoy your burger. (I’m a vegetarian and am grateful they have yummy options.)

The food is great. I loved the gluten-free burger. Their potato salad and cole slaw were also delicious. The bathrooms are a little run down, but they work.

Stopped at The Peg House because of a recommendation. It is a little place in the middle of no where. We ordered a burger, a Reuben, and garlic cheese bread. Only outdoor seating. It was lightly raining during our visit so we ate in the car. With that being said, the food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly! As their bumper sticker says: Never Don’t Stop!!

Everyone is great! The food is amazing! There is so much to see in the gift shop. It is fun to browse around and talk to the nice ladies who work there. It is a beautiful spot to have a meal outside on the patio and listen to music in the redwoods.

They gave excellent locally sourced food. High quality burger and delicious ingredients. Don't get excited about getting fries with your food since you won't get it. Also some foods are not available year round so be mindful about the seasons.

Excellent potato salad and we really also really loved the bloody snake bite. Will come back for the burgers, they looked huge and a lot of people were raving about them when we were there. Get those kind employees a bigger heater!

This place has delicious burgers. Their buns are probably one of my favorites from any burger place. Everything here is made to order, so you know what you're getting is fresh. Not at all disappointed. I highly recommend anyone who's passing by to make a stop here!

Saw the place on the side of the road and stopped for lunch. It was much larger than expected. They have a large outdoor patio and even a stage. When we were there they had a Santa on stage for people (and dogs) to take pictures with. Some food was ordered inside (like soup and chilli) while all of the grilled stuff was ordered off the patio. My wife got the turkey soup which she enjoyed and I got a burger and chips. The burger was very good. Fresh condiments and served on a ciabatta bun. Much better than expected from a little roadside stop. Also has a general store with groceries and gifts

The coffee & cookies were delicious. The woman behind the counter was super sweet and had a lovely and funny sense of humor. She was a total delight. The cookies, were so delicious never had a mookie cookie or trainwreck cookie but those 2 were my favorite of all that she had in the case. And the shop had the cutest stuff looked locally made. It was awesome. I love stopping in there every time we head out to visit my daughter in Eureka.

Holy Moly, what can I say about this place and their burgers that hasn't been said already!! This is THE spot to stop and eat at if you're paying through in the area, I wish I could've brought some home with me back to San diego they were so good. I had to wait a few days before I was able to eat a burger from another place because I knew it wasn't going to measure up to this place

Never don't stop. Great chip and drink selection with some unusual flavors. Amazing breakfast burritos. Great burgers. Beautiful gardens. I saw a hummingbird moth there!! And I got a beautiful wool beanie there one time as well. Oh!! And I got a free brownie on my birthday last year (but I'm not sure that's a thing, lol, I think she was just being super nice)😁🥳

An absolutely amazing burger! This is a must stop and eat restaurant when visiting the redwoods! They also had great coleslaw and the brownie was pretty good too! I really enjoyed the live music apparently they have a lot of it! Get the Bigfoot burger! It is huge!

A great spontaneous stop for lunch as we drove by. We ate in the garden area, sharing a delicious burger special and beer that was on tap. So much better than an enclosed restaurant. They have a live music schedule. Wishing we were there for that! Don't ever not stop!

Been here a few times passing through and the last time we went happened to stumble upon a outside concert. Plenty of space to sit and eat. Especially nice if you have dogs or kids on a long drive. Food came out relatively quick and really delicious. The actual store front is unique with a lot of their items. They have a few branded shirts and a general store and a few bazaar Little tchotchkes So definitely worth a visit. Parking is easy and can't really miss the building. So easy to find

All outdoor seating. The portion size is very small compared to the price you pay. But, it is in the middle of nowhere and not much options for food. Good eating for sure. We missed the live music but it is set up for it.
