I have been here a couple of times. it takes us an hour and the food is totally worth the long drive. Spoke to the chef. A very humble individual who explained that he makes the broth fresh from scratch every day so once he runs out of the broth he closes the restaurant. Tried convincing him to open a spot in Massachusetts so I don't have to drive to NJ. Hopefully one day :). Thank you for making the broth and the meat halal. We are forever customers!

the creamy, flavorful curry with a plethora of spices and fresh carrots and chicken made my day. the beef stew was glorious with the stew and beef itself leaving me in astonishment. we also ordered 2 phos, the taste of the broth is so delectable to the point where the flavor of the broth is so incredible, it's indescribable. along with fresh bean sprouts, ripe limes, and cold water, thank you pho today for an exquisite meal.

We had pho for the first time when friends brought us here for dinner. Decor is simple but pleasant. The service is flash-fast. And the pho... wonderful! Rich, flavorful broth, the freshest of herbs and vegetables, and delicious proteins, all served in stainless steel bowls almost big enough to qualify as buckets. One warning - if like me you're genetically inclined to taste cilantro as soap, ask them to leave it out. They use a goodly amount and chop it up, so you'll have a hard time avoiding it.

Great pho here. Good broth. But be sure to ask for sprouts, basil, lime, and jalapeños on the side or they will put it all into your bowl beforehand (Who does that? Not authentic at all!)

My experience with this restaurant was very wonderful, at first I was skeptical because the menu was not like most traditional pho restaurants but their food exceeded my expectations. The dishes arrived and were hot, large and fresh. The restaurant is clean and the staff are respectful and keen to fulfill requests. It was a great experience overall. I come to this place often and their beef stew is good. However today I tried take out for the first time. For almost $20, this is all you get, only 3 pieces of beef 😅 I don't know if this is an honest mistake or not because usually they give you more than that

5 stars for their pho!! At first I was skeptical because the menu was not like most traditional pho restaurants but their food exceeded my expectations. I ordered “create your own” pho bowl with 3 add-ons. I have had plenty of pho in my life and I am surprised their broth could taste so good without MSG (as advertised). The restaurant is clean and I love the metal bowl for the pho. The bowl is huge compared to what you see on pictures. It was a great experience overall. Will definitely come back if I have the chance.

I tried this spot this week and it was so delicious! I love Pho but it’s hard to find any places if you follow a Zabiha Halal diet but this place was perfect, the pho was delicious and the broth was perfectly balanced and the meat was super fresh and tender. The spring rolls come out really fresh, crispy and hot. I’m excited to try the beef stew on my next visit, I’d recommend this place to anyone who loves Pho in general not just to Muslims. My only critique is that it was kind of hot inside the restaurant but I understand it’s probably because the restaurant is on the smaller side.

We ordered a mixed pho and mini Vietnamese crepes. We got a small (kid-size) pho. That size is enough for one person. The spring rolls were also delicious. FYI. Pho needs to be eaten fresh or the egg noodles will get too soggy.

Amazing pho with top quality ingredients. I ordered a build your own with 3 ingredients- brisket, steak, and tripe. The pieces of steak that came in the soup were the thickest I've seen in a bowl of pho. Super legit! The brisket came perfectly raw and cooked instantly. I didn't notice much if any impurities that would typically float to the top.

One of the best pho that l had in the north American continent. Why visit: 1) Flavorful broth available in both veg and non veg versions - veggie or beef 🍖 broth 2) The freshest of the ingredients.Too good 3) Great packaging and intact freshness for to go orders 4) Option available for making your own pho.I choose chicken,tofu, mushrooms,shrimp 🍤 and bok choy. 5) Generous serving of proteins and veggies. Outside looks unassuming, but inside has a modern vibe. Service staff super fast and friendly. Pho was delicious and they serve with all the side fixings already in bowl versus others giving them separately for you to add. Spring rolls were delicious but a bit pricey $6/2. Menu is limited. Only one choice of bahn mi. Solid place for a meal.

Loved the pho . Came here all the way from Mahwah NJ . Ordered three soups for a party of four with two kids . The pho is large portions and some people would like to share . We loved the place and would definitely visit again

Nice little spot. Definitely a modern approach to Pho. Though it does it very well. Pho is delicious, essentially you get to pick up to 5 toppings to personalize your bowl. Menu is very simple. I come here often & will continue to, love me some Pho 😋

The rare steak is the best I’ve ever had at any pho restaurant. My wife and I eat Pho once a week(minimum) and this spot by far, has the best rare steak in the area.

This was my first time having Pho and it was very delicious. The restaurant is in the strip mall near the Asian market. The space is not huge and it got packed pretty quickly but they make great use of their space. The staff were very attentive and polite. The Pho selection seemed limited but as a first timer, it’s great to not feel overwhelmed by a menu. The food came very quickly. Everything was quite flavorful. I’ll be back to try a different Pho combination.

Great great great pho spot. The place looks really nice and the staff were kind and checked in on us regularly to see if we were doing alright or if we needed anything else. Shot out to the waitress, I didn’t get her name but she checked in to let us know what had peanut allergies since my wife is allergic to peanuts. The food was delicious and presentation was beautiful. The pho has a very delicious rich taste and all the other sides that accompanied it were tasty. We will def. be back. 10 stars. Local gem! Delicious Vietnamese food in a clean open relaxing spacious restaurant. Excellent warm friendly quick service. Recommend the fried spring rolls, rice paper shrimp rolls, chicken curry, pho and Vietnamese coffee. Fresh and flavorful!

Tasty; fresh ingredients; good portion size; Simple menu so you’re not overwhelmed. I would definitely come again. I personally got the Fresh Noodle Salad - comes with noodles/vermicelli, greens, a fish sauce with chili peppers, and spring rolls. Highly recommend if you’re not in the mood for a main course with soup.

Did dine in with the family today for iftar. Food was amazing staff was friendly and very knowledgeable to help you get the right thing from menu. Definitely will give another visit very soon!

Best pho place I have ever been to! Fresh food!

Went there tonight right before it was about to close but they still seated us. We were excited to try this place out since we found out they had halal menu. We were not disappointed the beef broth for the pho was soo good. We had beef stew which was delicious also and pho with vegetarian broth and beef broth and they were equally delicious. The shrimp spring rolls were also flavorful and delicious and the sauce to dip it in was just the right amount of spicy. The server was excellent also when seating us she asked if we will be doing the halal menu and told us exactly what was not halal. Only thing not halal was the tripe and beef balls and they come pre made according to the server. We will be back for one the best Pho we had.

Been here a couple of times, always order the pho and I can tell you that they are very consistent and it tastes awesome. The place is pretty big but can still get crowded around lunch and dinner times. The service is fast and courteous, there is a restroom room on site. This place now serves halaal meat, they started a couple of days ago.

Ordered a beef brisket pho with an order of crispy spring rolls. Probably the best tasting pho in all of New Jersey. Very nice flavorful broth all the way until the last drop. Sliced brisket is great too and the rice noodles were a good portion, as well as the entire bowl overall. Crispy spring rolls were good too Only thing I may ask is if the dipping sauce could not be spicy. Otherwise, excellent quality too.

The vermicelli bowl is delicious and a 5! The dish was not on the menu but offered in menu scan and advertised by staff. The pho is nice and can also be customized. I give it a 4.8. It comes in one size only, and I would say it looks XL. It's worth the price.

Restaurant vibe is hip, service is rather quick. However, there is only one bowl size and not a ton of broth, topping, and side dish varieties.

If you're looking for reliable, quality pho in Central New Jersey, The Pho Spot in Edison off of Route 1 would be considered staple. There is an unfounded belief that one can identify a great Vietnamese restaurant for quality food through its name, whether it has a number (i.e. 88) or contains some variety of "An" in the naming convention. While the subscription to this belief is a hit or a miss (I've come to find out through credulous studies [mainly my personal experiences] that it literally splits down the middle, working 50% of the time, all the time). Well, The Pho Spot certainly breaks that mold. The Pho Spot is divey-yet-simple-pleasant-and-enjoyable. The first part of that description comes from the analysis of its outward appearance and simple menu. The Pho Spot is conveniently located off the south bound side of Route 1 in Edison. It sits within the shadows of the bigger, more popular giants such as 99 Ranch and even Yi Fang. It sits back between Seoul Fried Chicken, a salon, and a liquor store - it really is unassuming and can be easily missed if you're not paying attention. As mentioned, the menu is quite simple. Quick caveat to this: I believe there has been some effort in expanding the menu - in addition to the base pho offerings, the restaurant has since added some other common dishes such as Gỏi Cuốn, a variety of vermicelli bowl, and Bún Bò Huế [don't quote me on this last one because I know it can be a game changer for those die hard BBH fans]. The beauty of the menu works off a make-your-own-pho-combination system: a broth type [beef or vegetable], 3 selections of meat, and garnishing add-ons. While this may appear a bit lacking, it really wows and surprises in flavor. Additionally, the flavor is ALWAYS consistent. This is saying a lot because consistent pho broth flavor is hard to find. Not only is the flavor consistent, it is probably the best in the area. Trust me. The other game changer is for those that like a bit of spice in their life. There is a chili pepper add-on that I guarantee is hotter than other Vietnamese restaurants. They must use some super-strain of Thai's Bird Eye or Serrano, whatever it is, it hits and that ish be bussin'. Really the flavor and quality of the food gives this place a 5 stars out of 5. The ambiance is really enjoyable - no blaring music or anything. It really is just a simple, sit-dine-and-enjoy type of establishment. It seems roomy, and from the different times we went, it never felt crowded with enough space to really move around. Yes, they take credit card, and no, there is no minimum charge for credit card use. Again, if you're a "pho purist" and looking for a good bowl, this is the spot [no pun intended].

My absolute favorite spot! I come here multiple times a month. The food is sooo good. I get the crispy pork and shrimp spring rolls (my favorite) as well as the mini pork and shrimp crepes to start off. Then I usually get the beef broth pho with rare steak and eggs as well as a side of kimchi. The service is amazing! Shoutout to my girl Maria for always taking very good care of us! The atmosphere is sooo amazing I love the booths and how they are positioned it feels very private yet open at the same time. I literally rave about this place and recommend it to everyone!

Wish I didn't come to this place with belly half full, because the portion was huge. I ordered the pick-three option with beef broth, rare steak, brisket and tripe. Personally wish there were more tripe, onions, and bean sprouts, but otherwise the brisket cut was thick and rare steak seemed fresh. It wasn't mentioned on the menu, but the server said the noodles are available in half-portions. Would definitely recommend half portions to go easy on the stomach. The fresh spring roll was decently sized and delicious.

New Pho spot hits the spot. There is only one size and one main course: Pho. Broth is rich, but a bit on the salty side. Nothing lime juice and hot pepper won't fix. Beef is very tender and flavorful. Uodate 10/14/2023: The vermicelli bowl with egg rolls is great. Large portions, lots of egg rolls and always fresh ingredients. PS: Tshirt is $20

Place was nice and new but the service during this time was feeling “rushed”. Prices are on the higher side of pho spots I go to. Summer rolls are 3 a piece and when it’s usually $3-&4 for a pair of them at other places. Flavors were good but couldn’t justify the price at that time. Pho here was interesting. You have two choices both priced at 18.50 and 16.50 for either 5 choices of toppings or 3. I thought this was a steal but when the bowl came out, each topping was about two pieces each. For reference I had shrimp and I had one piece. Rare steak was minimal etc etc. for these prices I’d suggest Other places down the road or even in another town that I usually go to. Probably won’t come back here for a while.

This place is very modern and stylish. The menu is very pared down. In my opinion the edge that this place has is that it offers vegetarian/vegan options. For me personally the soup was a little too clove heavy and the meat varieties were somewhat less. Also the brisket was rather thick cut which was not what i expected but texturally it wasnt too dry. The summer rolls ratio was a bit off as they were mostly vermicelli

This place makes by far my favorite food ever. You can truly taste the care that goes into every dish. It’s so flavorful and authentic. It always feels like home cooking. A hug ! The service is consistently great! I have been going to this restaurant since they had their first location in Princeton and it’s been worth the 40 minute drive after their relocation to Edison. A must try!

The Pho Spot, if it's as they say, no MSG in the food, it was some real good soup. Nice taste and sweet broathy beef soup. Menu is super simple, it's what original McDonalds and in-n-out is, simple with just the right items. Beef or veggie broath, standard toppings, and pick of 3 or 5 toppings. I went with 5 toppings, all beef (brisket, tendon, beef balls, rare sliced beef, tripe. The jalapeño is also the real deal. Most pho places I've gone to, the jalapeño are tasty and have flavor. These must have been some hybrid with ghost pepper or something, they were hot as heck and bitter. I could only take two. Real deal this place and because menu is simple, good came out in less than 5 minutes and we were in and out in less than 30.

I have been here twice and will return in the future for sure. The food tastes amazing, the atmosphere is great, restaurant is clean, and the service is on point. Highly recommended if you love Pho.

This place hits THE spot. Their food is amazing (whatever entree you choose), service is fast, and staff are extremely friendly. The best thing about their pho is that it has no msg- this is a game changer, it means that you don’t have to be really thirsty after you drink their soup. Their noodles are nice and chewy, their soup is really flavorful, and all of their ingredients are really fresh. They have a small but diverse menu to satisfy any craving. Don’t want soup? Pros: Good ambiance, supposedly no MSG, 3 meat/vegan options offered for your pho, beef, and vegetable soup base offered, portions are good enough. Cons: the waitress not accurate with my order (i asked for chicken, she gave me quail eggs in my pho even though she repeated my order correctly after I said it ), place was very hot with the AC appear to be not working or insufficient, (we were literally soaking wet from the heat), they charge 3% for credit card use. The pho was $15 per person before tax.

Forget about fast food! If you want a great meal served quickly, then come here instead. This is my 3rd time here and each time, I’ve gotten my order in 5 mins or less. Besides getting the food quickly, it’s also a good value and tasty!

Definitely my new go to pho spot. Love the fact they highlight the veggie options! The broth was phenomenal, and the spring rolls. The staff was very kind and the owner was so sweet! Reasonably priced items and the decor was modern and elegant.

에디슨 가면 항상 가는 쌀국수 집인데 양도 많고 가격도 딱 좋아요. 쌀국수 육수가 특히 맛있고 다른 메뉴들도 베트남 그 자체! 이것저것 시켜 먹었는데 항상 온 가족이 만족해요. 깨끗하고 아기자기한 인테리어는 덤 ^^ 앞으로 베트남음식 먹으러 여기로만 올 것 같아요!

A wonderful lunch at Pho Spot next to TJMaxx and 99 Ranch. Each pho order comes with beef or vegan broth and toppings. The Vegan broth is so surprisingly flavorful and not oily, beef brisket so tender and the shrimp are big like prawns. Food is fresh and delicious (with No MSG), staff so friendly and restaurant very clean. Best Pho place!

Delicious. Every dish I try here is incredible. The new curry dish is great but the Bo Kho (Beef Stew) is my new favorite. It tastes like fine dining made by a grandmother with a lifetime of cooking experience.
