As a professional wedding DJ for the last 25 years (PartyTime DJ), The Phoenix Grill at Taos Ski Valley is one of the best and most memorable venues I have ever worked at. Beautiful outdoor ceremony space and awesome staff!

The Phoenix grill is too busy. The pork BBQ is good as well as the burgers. However, the line at noon is too long to order and get your food. Go to the Bavarian behind it for table service and even better food with less wait time.

Hadn't been here in years. Used to be a good lunch spot for skiers. It seems to be an event center now. Need to buy lunch outside.

Renovated as of a couple of years ago. The lunch counter is now outside. The elk sausage is excellent. Now they've got more tables and couches indoors in case the weather isn't good for eating outside.

The Elk and Cheddar dog was pretty great! Beats the hotdog at TFK's at the base. Kinda bummed they were closed this weekend

Not bad but not super exciting either. The grill smells excellent but limited hours. And food service is outside. Lines were long and slow but if not in a hurry great on a beautiful day.

Food was pretty good but the line took way too long. My advice would be to ski down a little farther to the Bavarian.

They need a better system for getting food. The order line was long and the pick-up line was longer.

Limited menu, fast service. What more can you expect from a ski area food service.

I went there on pond skim, a beautiful day. They had a whole wall of the building open letting fresh air and music inside. It was wonderful. There are also couches, bathrooms, tables and a bbq joint outside.

I think this is the best place to stop and rest at Taos because there is plenty of open seating. Unfortunately, it seems part of the roof collapsed.

Not ready for the usual Saturday crowd. Not enough chairs, people sitting on the floor everywhere. Like an airport with lots of cancellations. Food is now available only at the outside bar. Long line on this cold day. Why did they get rid of the indoor cafeteria? Just so they can book weddings in the off season? We lost our old Phoenix, which was a nice place to warm up and take a break without having to go back up 7A (or pole/walk the green) to return to the village.

Just a typical food concession at the base of lift 4 at Taos. Usual burgers, etc. Fine for lunch.

Pretty chill place on the back end of the resort. Looks like they're upgrade and adding new addition to the "rest stop."

Go to the Baverian a few steps away, this place is an empty building with a grill outside, Taos makes some strange choices as a mountain.

Can't really rate it at anything it's being remodeled but will be open again soon and way better than before. Giving 5 stars cause I've seen the remodel and it looks amazing.

Great Ski-in-Location with Great Burgers - provided by the huge "smoker" outside - and completed by the greatest Coffe-hut nearby: -> Just what you need after finishing the amazing amount of double black diamond trails in the huge TAOS Ski area.

We stopped here for lunch twice while skiing, both times were great. Especially loved the soups. We avoided peak times by stopping in early, around 11-11:30am, and had no problems finding a table or ordering food. I did note that as we left the place was getting significantly more crowded, with long lines to order.

Looking for an on mountain break for food- this is THE PLACE ! They have an outdoor food smoker as well as an indoor (overnight) smoker. Both were cooking when we dined ! Great brisket & terrific pulled pork !

The Phoenix Grill is in front of the Bavarian on the backside of the mountain at Taos Ski Valley. It is not your typical fast food. I've had burgers, tacos and pizza at the Phoenix. Cold beer and wine are available as well along with any other beverages you can imagine from water, cokes, redbull, powerades, fruit juices and more. It is kind of an amusement park type setting if sitting inside while dining. Self service type cafe, walk up and order. Plenty of room to unwind for a bit before tackling the afternoon. Nice Deck out front with plent of picnic tables as well. I actually like this place better than the Bavarian for lunch...a little more laid back and less expensive and the food quality is about the same.

Always worth the trip, we had several beers and the German Sausage Sampler. The beer was treat, the sampler was good, but portions were reduced from our last visit. Atmosphere is six stars!
