I have been working in San Juan for a year and I can still say this is my favorite place in San Juan. By far. And, I'm so excited, tonight was my first night doing a poetry reading at their open mic night. It took a year for me to gather the courage, but everyone is so accepting and genuine it made it easier than I thought it would be. Thank you for creating such an inviting place. If you want to read, or sing, or play an instrument, or do comedy, or anything else I haven't thought of, do it. Don't wait a year like I did. Come to the open mic night on Tuesday and share your passion and heart with this amazing community.

You can come and admire painted art and written poems placed thru the entire gallery at your leisure and without any pressure whatsoever whether you purchase or just browse. We bought a few things because we could not help ourselves with so many artsy and cute things.

I had no intentions of buying art while in Old San Juan, but this little store caught my little artistic hearts attention. You can walk through the exhibit for free and there are plenty of pieces to stare at for thirty plus minutes. I ultimately did exit through the gift shop, and bought prints for the whole family. I love the concept and art work. If you have an inkling of artist in you then you must drop by.

Beautiful artwork, many are customed tailored to the artists style but nevertheless uniquely made. Lots of small painted tiles great for souvenirs or simply for a gift to a loved one. The owner is simply sweet, kind and has a beautiful soul. She actively and passionately invitees others to the open mic sessions during the week. Business owners like this are the best examples of doing what you love and using the gifts God (Jesus) gave us to make the world a better place. 🎨

We wandered in here on a Saturday afternoon in February while wandering Old San Juan. The gallery is based around the adorable story of a French man who met a Puerto Rican poet. They married, she saw him as an artist and encouraged his work. It's free to enter and walk around. The shop had a lovely gallery of their love story shown in full-size oil on wood canvases. The shop had reasonably priced prints, tiles, and more. Very friendly cashier (and artist) gave a good coffee shop rec for CafeLab.

So happy we stumbled upon this place. Wonderful space for artists.

We have shared it on 2 occasions and it seems like a super interesting place. Especially for tourists who visit us from other parts.

The art and the poetry here are stunning, but what stands out the most is poet and owner, Lady Lothlorien (yep, she’s Puerto Rico born and raised, but her birth name really is pulled straight out of The Lord of the Rings). She might just be the kindest person I’ve ever met. And when I thank God for my trip to Puerto Rico, it’ll be for the natural and historic beauty, the great weather and food, but perhaps most of all, for the opportunity to meet Lady Lothlorien. Lady, if you’re reading this, I just want to let you know that your mother would be so proud. Don’t ever let the financials of running a business get you down. Keep doing what you do best; making great art and making people feel right at home. “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”

Beautiful place to buy all sorts of art. There was even a free art museum to see. Everything sold here is very reasonably priced and the owner and staff are super nice and super helpful. Definitely recommend stopping by if you visit San Juan.

I stopped at this exhibit before heading to the airport to come home. My only wish is that I stopped in sooner. I could spend an entire day in this experience. A calming stop during our trip to OSJ. It's a very beautiful art gallery and a poetry collection. The owner, Lady Lee, was a sweetheart and gave us a poetry book to enjoy on our honeymoon. The miniature houses are awesome, and we got ours customized with our name to take home.

What a day, I finally got to meet Lady Lee Andrews. She is a reason I was originally drawn to The Poet's Passage when I found here poetry quotes from yet a different place I purchased years back. Ironically, one of her quotes adorned my friends business wall in New Orleans for years before closing. The blue night light art that accentuates Old San Juan's evening ambience is hypnotic. It has to be the best illustration of the city in my opinion. Combined with Poets night and true artistic spirit, the high ceilings, the landmark architecture and mosaic of artwork is truly genuine and so appreciated. I have brought everyone I love here and realized today that it is because a part of myself resonates deeply with the words, colors and expressions. Thank you Lady Lee Andrews.
