A TRUE BBQ! Never boiled then smoked 👍👍. The star of their menu is the ribs then the brisket. Rib tips were just okay. Good cornbread, okay coke slaw and okay corn. To really taste the quality and flavor of the meat, I used no sauce at first—-very good 👍. Sauces Bourbon & Original were the best out of their 5 sauces 👍. I recommend this place for those looking for good / true BBQ. Service, btw, was outstanding! We drove from NWI to try this place 😊.

Our waitress was so sweet & quick to get our drinks/food out! Everything was soooo delicious, prices were VERY reasonable & we have tons of leftovers! We will definitely be back!!

Incredible food and very friendly and attentive wait staff. The inside is somewhat similar to a typical BBQ place and very close walk to the riverfront. I would recommend going here!

Very good place the prices reflect the quality and to be honest with you the prices aren't even bad at all. I ordered the brisket, pork belly, and rib tip dinner. they handled my ordervwith great professionalism and customer service. they're pretty knowledgeable with the meats and a great local spot I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you're in the area.

We had a party of 18 from work and they were very accommodating. The food was amazing and the service outstanding.

The only good part about this place is the staff. The food is absolutely not worth a lick. Got 4 different meats and they were all over cooked and dry (horribly dry). Give the food a zero star and the staff a 5 star.

The Prized Pig is small, but the portions are big! Their meats are smoked in small batches, which make for consistent goodness. The only problem is they run out of items in the evening. I recommend you go early and enjoy some of the best BQ in town. I had Cajun Chicken Pasta. Yummy! Huge serving with chicken and shrimp. My favorite is the Squeeler sandwich, a mountain of pulled pork with mac and cheese on it!! A must try.

Simply overpriced, the brisket was dry and terribly cooked with no seasoning or flavor the barbecue sauce is OK the sides by themselves are just too overpriced, Honestly this barbecue spot is a joke, I could find many in the area that have better food and cheaper prices

I don't live in South Bend, but I will say, if you do, you need to go here if you love bbq! 6 different sauces, one for every taste and all delicious. Fried pork belly, brisket, and for the sides, I had Mac n cheese and potato salad. Best meal in months, hands down! MUST GO!

It was our 2nd time there! Staff (Patrick) is very friendly and paying attention to what is going around them. The atmosphere was great! The food was amazing! And the 5 different homemade sauces! I had a pile of brisket & pork belly with Mac & cheese piled on top with delicious Cole slaw! Yum, yum, get you some! It was a great time with friends from church!

First time customer. Ordered carry out. The 7 rib tips in my order were tasteless and each piece had about 2 bites of meat. The small portion of shoestring fries were soggy and tasteless. Huge piece of cornbread seemed to be the main course rather than the rib tips. Also ordered smoked chicken sandwich. Chicken was totally dry. Cole slaw tasted like vinegar. Reviews are all so good I was really hoping for a great alternative to my usual favorite bbq carry out. Very disappointed. Not sure why my experience was so different than all the other reviewers. I won't be going back.

1st and last time eating there , Spent around $50 for 3 meals Ribtip dinner with beans and mac, Ribtip were all fat and dry, mac was very dry, seems as if the whole meal was made weeks ago . Only good thing was the Cornbread out of this platter The rib sandwich was dry The smoke bbq chicken was okay but the side of fries were so black you could tell they were cooked in very old bad oil . 1 star because the Cornbread and chicken was good and maybe the other food has potential if cooked fresh

I came in for the first time today and had the pleasure of trying their ribs. They were amazing. The establishment was clean with a good atmosphere. Service was really fast. Danielle, Lesley and Patrick were out front and made my experience quite enjoyable with good conversation and great vibes! I recommend this place to anyone who wants great barbecue and an excellent dining experience!

Wonderful restaurant. The Cajun Chicken Pasta special has a great kick. Ordered some pork belly and they were real juicy. The staff were plenty polite and patient. I definitely will be a returning customer.

Food is amazing! Every time I either get the brisket sandwich or the pulled pork squealer, I haven't been able to bring myself to try anything else since those two are so good. Fries are awesome, the Alabama White sauce is incredible

7 of us drove About a hour to try this place out. The food they had left was wonderful but they were out of almost everything they only had brisket and pulled pork left. And the only sides were macaroni and cheese. Potato salad And it was only 530 when we got there

First time patron 12/30/23. The only thing better than the food was the service. The wait staff was polite, responsive and had true servant hearts. It's refreshing to find a place that still offers service like this. So often I find wait staff to be short and give off a feeling of being inconvenienced but thankfully The Prized Pig bucked this trend. Our drinks were refilled before the last ones were gone and the staff was pleasant. The food was delicious (I got the brisket burger with pork belly, Swiss, and sauteed mushrooms). Though the burger was slightly overcooked it was minor and didn't affect the overall taste or experience. Overall I left very satisfied and impressed. I guarantee I'll be back when I'm in town next.

The BBQ rib tips were good. However, the brisket was delicious. Not overly salty, very tender. It's worth the visit. Side dishes were good, too. We had greenbeans, potato salad, coleslaw and mac and cheese. Mac and cheese were made with cavatappi noodles and bacon. There is a great variety of sauces, too. Service was fantastic!

Ate there today for the first time, server said they had 2 off menu specials today, wings and chili so we tried them both. The wings were excellent, perfectly cooked, perfectly crispy, lightly seasoned to let the smoked flavor shine through. The chili was excellent, perfect blend of spices for flavor and heat with big chunks of meat throughout. I hope both the wings and chili become regular menu items. We both had mac n cheese, mine on a sandwich and hers as a side, also great. Service was fast, friendly, and polite, the food was fantastic, the bathroom was spotless, whole place had a great vibe to it. Definitely going to visit again when we're in town, don't second guess going here for a meal at all.

I finally had time to get here while they had food. Now I understand why they run out so quickly. The food was amazing. I got the ribs and the brisket with a side of bacon Mac and potato salad. Best believe I’ll be here again. Best bbq in town. Also the waitress Ari was super cool and easy to talk to. The kitchen staff was also really chill. If you have it tried this place I suggest you do.

Ordered a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving, it was the BEST turkey my family has ever had. It came with perfect heating instructions and everything. I can't wait to get another one next year...

Great find by my nephew. The smoked meats and the sides are very good. Small, cozy atmosphere. Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free options. I will definitely take my family here again.

We were there last night with my parents and it was fantastic food. It was my parents first time and they enjoyed themselves even though my mom got the wrong meal. It was an easy mix-up and towards the end of the night. It was fixed and we were able to enjoy our meal! Thank you Prized Pig!

Was asked to order drinks then after being brought two sodas was informed they were out of ribs,chicken,sausage and some other things. We said that's why came so well just take two to go cups and paid almost 6.00 for two sodas. I'm not rating the food since I couldn't try.

If you are a fan of Texas style BBQ, this is the place for you. Unfortunately, they were out of sausage and ribs, so I can't comment on those, but the brisket was smokey and juicy and awesome. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere warm and friendly. My kind of place!

This small local bbq joint is amazing. I’ve tried bbq from around the world and this ranks among the top! Perfect rib tips, brisket and pulled pork. Will return time and time again.

Do not get the pulled pork slider kids meal. It’s a Hawaiian roll (1” x 1”) with a tiny piece of meat on it - 3 bites for a kid, max. Do yourself a favor and just order the full size sandwich. Spend twice the money and get 4 times the sandwich.

TRIED to order delivery from here. Called PP to get instructions on ordering delivery. It's very strange set up. Hung up and, as instructed, ordered from Website received confirmation email. Transaction approved byy my bank. An HOUR later I call PP to see if the order had been picked up for delivery only to find out they had never received order. It seems they use a third party for ordering and then it runs thru door dash. Because they, PP, was busy, they turned off the ordering! 🤷‍♂️To the customer it appears that the food was ordered and would be delivered. When I complained, they told me if I had issues with charge to contact Door dash. Not sure why as it wasn't DD problem. PP turned off their ordering system unbeknownst to customers. This was all very convoluted, in my opinion. The one thing I NEVER heard was an apology. In fact, I will not patronize Prized Pig. I suspect that since they are "so busy", my comments and my review are irrelevant. I found the entire experience left a bad taste. Not good for a restaurant. Update & reply to restaurant comment: I had to call to get my refund. It was NOT a Door Dash issue. Money was, in fact, taken from my account by PP. Taken out immediately for an order not filled. Now I have to wait 5-7 days for refund of money. What bothers me most is the number of false statements made by personnel and reported here by Prized Pig. A restaurant is more than just the food. Bad business practices here.

They allowed me to change my side and the fries are bomb

The temperature of the meat was questionable but the flavor made up for it especially because we were hungry. I wasn't as impressed as I was m first time eating here. The environment is cute, love the decor. The service was super basic nothing fancy. I don't see coming back here any time soon

Cute little place in downtown Mishawaka. Full bar. Craft beer on tap. We've been there three times-5:00pm on a Wednesday and on a Friday afternoon at 2:00p.m. Always out. Always an excuse. Today at 5:00p.m only had 2 chicken halfs, 2 orders of rib tips, and pork belly- not even any green beans or baked beans. Not much of a selection for a healthy full price. Met with friends later, said the same thing. We've tried several times - not a fluke. I, of course want to support local businesses but, hard to keep returning when there's never a full menu or even a half menu. I encourage others to try maybe as soon as they open?

Great bbq in Mishawaka! I was at the Niles location many years ago, and loved their bbq and sauces then, and the location here in downtown Mishawaka doesn’t disappoint :) The food trailer at the farmers market is an awesome idea too! Tender and juicy meats, delicious sauces, what more could you want??

Bought what was suppose to be a pound of rib tips. I thought it felt light so I weighed it on my baking scale. With the packaging it weighed 12.3 ounces. 3/4 of a pound. Maybe they should check their scales or.........

This is a small BBQ spot in downtown Mishawaka. I love KC style BBQ so I always compare BBQ to that style. That being said, the food was good, but not amazing. The service was excellent and their fries were also very good. I would come back and eat here again, but it would not be something I would crave.

Definitely the best BBQ place in SB. I went to a nearby place and it was just packed with only 2 servers so I came here. Caitlin my server was great, and the cornbread, fries and brisket were amazing! But my favorite part was the different sauces they had. I really enjoyed trying all of them! This place is the best!

This restaurant was great! The service is excellent 10 star service! They were very attentive to my needs and what I love the best about the service is you can scan a QR code to pay from your table. The prices are very good for bbq not to expensive I got the rib Tips platter and was stuffed for $16. The Mac and Cheese is great but get the green beans the seasoning is excellent and to top it off they put them in the smoker for over an hour for flavor best green beans I've had! The variety of sauces were great try the white sauce on your Mac and cheese it pairs excellent! Will definitely go back if I'm in town and if you haven't been I highly suggest going!

Love this place but last time I was there to pick up food one waitress was really rude and disrespectful to another waitress. It really didn't sit right with me. Off-putting

Love going to Prized Pig. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a fun and quirky style. Our waitress was kind and attentive. The food, always so tasty. I love the brisket sandwich and it's great to see them branching out with different selections of foods now (like burgers and poboys). Only thing I wish they had still is the Cherrbomb sauce. It's so good but I still love my bourbon sauce.

Just a top notch place, loaded nachos with smoked brisket was a perfect lunch.

Didn't expect to like this place. Do yourself a favor and visit. It was really good. The cheesecake is amazing. Homemade, not frozen. You can tell. It was the only thing I could take a picture of because we'd already scarfed down the rest. You can choose your sauce. The portions are huge. The prices are fair. The atmosphere is not in your face, but has its own charm. (Farmhouse chic meets whimsical pig) Music was on point and a very surprising. Apparently they rotate, so don't expect just standard pop-country. (Spacehog playing was a little on the snout and I'm still laughing about it.) Staff was fabulous. Attentive, but not fake. 100% love authentic people who aren't pressured to be corporate perfect. I'm writing this review at the restaurant. That should say everything.

Good food, but the pork belly could have been better. With that being said, it was still really good. I got a sampler of all the meats they had and was not disappointed with the quality of the majority.

I have eaten bbq at every rib joint in our area and these are the Best rib tips I’ve had. Tips are always tender, never fatty and the other food is awesome too. Another thing to add is that they consistently have good food, I’ve never had a meal yet in 3 years of eating here.

Really good smoked meats with a selection of unique sauces to go with them. A small bar with a variety of beers on tap is also available.

Honestly, the only reason I give it 2 stars is because I got carry out. Carry out will never be as good as dine in. If it is representative of what I would of gotten there, it would be a 1 star review. I'll start with the positive. There beans were pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but really solid. I liked there sauce selection, but sauce is sauce. And the cornbread was good. Negs. The Mac n cheese was the worst I ever had. Seems they forgot the cheese. It was drier than the Sahara desert. Made much worse with the over abundance of dry bread crumbs and too much bacon. But the real crime was the meat itself. It suppose to be the star. We ordered a half rack of ribs and the brisket. Both were over cooked, dry and tough. The ribs had some weird rub on it that was more like a paste on top rather than being a rub that penetrated and seasoned the meat. Hard to tell, like I said, overcooked. And the brisket. It was glorified dried out roast beef. At $30LB, it should be treated like gold. Be succulent and juicy. The meal for two was $60 total! Needless to say, the first and last time I'll eat there.

Great food! Great service! It's not a huge dine in area but still comfortable and has a homey feel to it, even has a little bar area with a full bar. I ordered brisket sliders, which were very good. We also had The Sqealer with brisket and the Rib Tips with fries, which were homemade and cornbread, which tasted like cornbread cake! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. The sweet tea is freshly brewed and the lemonade was also very good. The service was great and very friendly! I will be returning 🤗

The best BBQ on this side of KC!!! Great sides, great choice of sauces, great corn bread! The meat had a great bark, smoke ring, flavor from the rub. Loved the atmosphere. Serves beer, mixed drinks.

The best BBQ in Indiana as far as I can find! I really enjoy just getting a pound of brisket. True BBQ is hard to find in this area. The seating is a little limited, but I have never had to wait, and the servers are all very nice. Always a pleasure to eat here.

I would have given a better rating but the main part of my meal was unacceptable. We ordered the rib. The portion was way too small and the ribs were more fat and bone than they were edible meat. The sides however, were amazing and very generous in their portions. The price you pay for your food doesn't match up to what you get.

Ordered the 1/2 chicken w/ mac-n-cheese and baked beans, along with a 1/3rd pound of burnt ends to-go. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Baked beans were different than I'm used to being from down south. Mac-n-chees wasn't good to me. Sweet cornbread and souffle cups of BBQ sauce were very cold, as if they were just taken from the refrigerator. This seemed very weird to expect a customer to pour cold bbq sauce over hot foot. I can't describe the burnt ends because I was given brisket instead of the burnt ends I ordered. Three stars because the greeter and the cashier were both extremely nice and helpful.

I ordered the St. Louis Ribs. No gristle or fat, very lean meat. I thought the coleslaw was on the bland side. The ribs, cornbread, and baked beans were very tasty.

Food came out fast but the rib tips was dry and the Mac n cheese was almost tasteless. My fiancé loved the sandwich he got though! The waitress acknowledged that she heard when we asked where the bathroom was but never answered until I raised my voice out frustration after she ignored us after the third time asking. We were about the only people in there. She did well with making sure we had what we needed though.

We have been looking for a great BBQ place in this area and, so far, this place is the winner. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. The brisket had great flavor but was just a little overdone. The original and bourbon sauce were great. The baked beans were different but very good. Just not what I was expecting when I ordered baked beans. The mac and cheese was good but I needed a little more salt to bring out the flavor more. All in all, this was a very good place. Emily, who took my phone order, was very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely be having this again.
