food is fantastic, priced right and friendly people. Nice atmosphere.

First visit based on a recommendation. Most tables are high top which I'm not a fan of. No beer menu but selection seemed pretty good. Wife had cod sandwich that had large piece of fish / pulled pork for me which was chunk style (not shredded) and was flavorful / onion rings & fries where good. Server noticed we didn't care for the pickle chip appetizer so removed it from the bill. I'll be back!

Huge improvement from a year ago. We have continued to stop in once a month or so and have dinner. Improvements have definitely been made along the way. Tried the Filet Mignon tonight and was not disappointed. Cooked right. Prepared right. Tasted right. Bartender/owner always does his best to make us feel welcome and see that we are taken care of properly. 3 stars for atmosphere. In my opinion It’s either a little too dark for dining in the bar room or the music needs to be heard not just played as background noise but 4 stars for everything else.

If you don't have a cook . Don't open kitchen Only open the days you have a cook. Tacos/nachos cold meat out of refrigerator. We ate the food to be nice. Bad idea ..... Payed for it later......!

This is an excellent bar and grill environment with excellent food. The prices were very reasonable but don't let that fool you, the food is top notch and delicious! The servers were prompt, friendly, and attentive. They also have a drive through window on the south side of their building, so if you don't have time to dine in or you are just passing through you can get their great food to go. Absolutely worth the stop! Kudos to the owners for providing a great environment and outstanding food. The only challenge is the parking is a bit limited at the site. Had to park in an lot to the south in an abandoned / closed business, but it was worth it.

Visited for first time with 2 clients nearby. Great service and food. Loved the comfortable atmosphere of a small town spot. PS - spot on decor.

First time visiting. Upon entering the eatery it felt very "cold" & not in regards to lack of heat. Although very few people were there the service was not only slow but unfriendly as well. We ended up only having a nonalcoholic beverage because we felt very uncomfortable there.

Everything was GREAT! Room temp quite chilly day we were there.

The Pump could be one of the best kept secrets outside of Hoopeston. Great atmosphere, friendly patrons and attentive staff. Their ribeye sandwich and smash burgers are my favorite and they make a kickass Moscow mule. I’m not from Hoopeston but they make visitors feel like family.

I’ve grown up with The Pump and I’ve always loved this place! Such a fun place to relax on weekends and the food is always on point! You truly can’t find such great service in many places, but this place is one with outstanding customer service and even better food!! I highly highly recommend coming for some drinks, food, music and fun with all the locals! The pump will always be one of my all time favorites!

Food was great and warm atmosphere

Went in this place for the first time tonight. Kinda what you would expect for a small town bar the food looked and smelled great, Amy was the bartendet and she was fantastic my glass was never empty. Everyone in there was friendly.

The food is excellent. The owners keep on top of the latest trends with drinks and new food ideas. They are always going above and beyond to make sure people are pleased with their service.

The "Pump" as locqals call it is a very good meeting place. They have recently changed hands, and have improved a great deal. They have a full bar, and a menu of tacos, burgers, and Friday night steaks. This is always a stop when we are in Hoopeston. We see lots of people who are friendly and easy to talk to, and it is conveniently located at the corner of Main St. and Illinois Route 1.
