I always enjoy visiting this place for the scenery and a relaxing drink by the water. I've only eaten the appetizers and the grouper sandwich here, in which I'd purchase again.

Picked a spot on the map, it was the right one. Great views

Best riverside bar in the bay!!

Came with a group of coworkers, we got $2 tacos and $4 margaritas on a Tuesday. It was awesome for the price and simply couldn’t be beaten. We loved the view and sat next to the water. I got the Gouda Mac and cheese bites and felt like I ascended to heaven. My coworker got some wings and made everyone try them because they were simply that good. I love finding local places because the experience is the best. Just be aware if you sit by the water, you may get eaten alive. Clearly that isn’t the places fault but it is a cautionary tale.

Servers could definitely use a little more compassion. Asking if you need anything while walking away forcing us to yell excuse me for more water while cups are empty then rolling eyes is not very kind.

I've read a bunch of the negative reviews for this place. It gave me a good laugh. This place is the SH!T! Whoever the fry cook is, knows how to fry stuff up. Service is always prompt and courteous. With a GREAT view of the Alafia. Keep up the good work.

Had the Grouper sandwich and was very disappointed. Absolutely no flavor. I am not one to complain, but it was awful.

This bar is for locals only. Unless they know you, it seems like the service is either non-existent or is so bad that I will willingly leave without getting anything. Happend to me and my wife twice. These folks make outsiders feel very unwelcome...

The last time Fuy, the girl at the bar, behaved very badly with racist attitudes towards people who were in the place. I believe that no matter what country you are from, they should treat you with respect. And they were paying for everything they ate and drank. Nothing was free.

We love the outdoor view of the boats going up and down the Alapiha River and the cool indoor sports bar atmosphere if it is a bit too steamy outdoors. The food is very good. I usually get the Wedge Salad and the Chicken fingers. Plenty to eat.

Took some time to get a waiter but the food was delicious. Great atmosphere on the water. Live music playing. Lots of seating outside.

Went for lunch on a wed, food was decent. Kinda seemed like a regulars local kinda place. I went back on cinco weekend there was 1 car in parkinglot i heard night time on weekends is good here but it was dead when i went. I will try again. Tho.

Been boating to The Rivers Edge since the 1990s this is the most spectacular things Ron, Randy and Robert the owners continue to do to make this place a fabulous venue on the water and a must stop when visiting the Alafia River via water 🍻 Food🥃🍔🍕🌮🍤

Excellent place by the mouth of the Alafia River! While still Biker heavy, this place has a great family environment to eat with liquor on the Alafia river!

Amazing place by the water, with lots of bikers and live music (visited Sundays). Great atmosphere if you like it rustic and real. I loved it there, very chilled, cold beer and food. Great place to hang out and watch and enjoy your time... 5 stars absolutely...

Great for a drink with friends. Good food and prices. Excellent waitstaff makes up for the not so great restrooms.

Captains pain killer is amazing!! We also ordered onion rings, fried okra, blt and chicken tenders which were all equally amazing. Our server was super attentive and sweet. Great food, drinks and service with a view, can’t complain about that.

Great rustic place on the river! Nice to sit on the dock and enjoy the breezy weather. Our waitress was nice but probably responsible for too many tables. We enjoyed lots of appetizers and drinks. Not pictured was the Reuben sandwich, chicken fingers, side salad. Otherwise we enjoyed smoked fish spread, fried pickles, butterflied shrimp, jalapeño poppers and egg rolls! Drinks were great too!

The service was bad, and we were there at lunch on a weekday. Food is bar food mostly fried.

Waited for an hour and never received any drinks or food after order placed and never saw our waitress again😔

Service was friendly and atmosphere was chill with a view of the water. We had lunch but it seems like a better spot to grab beers and hangout with friends after work or on lazy weekend. Definitely a local spot and has plenty of dock space for boats. There are several pool tables inside if you'd like a game. Worth checking it out if you're in the area.

We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon. Service was very slow and tables on both sides of us that arrived well after us were serviced before us. That is always so annoying! We had a Cuban sandwich that was very dry and tasteless. The atmosphere was nice being on the water with live music. There was ample parking even on a busy day.

Beautiful sight , romantic ambience with music and especially at sunset. Staff and customers are all simple and friendly folks.

Dive bar on the water with cheap neer and average bar food. Best for drinking beer out on the water.

Great food, pool tables, boat docks, outdoor deck with lots of tables. Just remodeled the outside. Bikers love it and they have a band on the weekend. Update . Nothing has changed, still the same great place.

We had the cheese fries and onion rings to start with then, most of us got the "Edge bacon burger" for the main corse. Food was all right but, nothing Edgey. No live music but, they did have a little Charlie Daniel's on the jute box. Atmosphere is very bikerish but, I would hope was more lively other nights of the week.

A favorited place for boaters and bikers on the weekend. Friendly people and staff. Needs more parking and docks need maintenance. New covers on the pillars and rubber on the ladders is definitely needed.

HAIR IN MY FOOOD!!!!! I went to order some shrimp they was so nasty and when I order the devil crab inside of my devil crab I found long piece of hair which is veery disgusting never again!

Really good food. We love the shrimp. The atmosphere is fantastic. To sit outside by the river is so pleasant. Service is always prompt and good. The bartenders pour! I might suggest some pressure washing to get rid of some of the bees.

It would be so nice for the bands to be respectful of the people in the neighborhood that don’t want their windows rattling blocks away. Maybe point the speakers toward the river.

Good food, great atmosphere, live music, indoor& outdoor seating, wonderful views on the water, and dog friendly. Food and drinks were a little pricey but still good. I definitely recommend the pulled pork sandwich, the Mac& cheese bites and the butterfly shrimp.

What a paradisiacal location right on the Alafia River in Gibsonton! Delicious and affordable meals. Cuban sandwich, burgers and fries were just right for us.

Had started eating the fried mushrooms when I remembered to take the picture. Our server was very attentive an kind, wish I caught her name. The fried mushrooms were very good an the mushroom swiss burger was flavorful and the condiments were fresh. Could actually taste the tomatoe for once on a burger.

Great service, amazing atmosphere right on the sore of the canal, food was good, pet friendly, big parking lot.

I went in and no one sat me so I walked to the back where there where several workers and a bar, I was totally ignored, I walked all the way back through the whole building slowly and left. I wish I could review this establishment but I guess they don’t like my kind round there.🤷🏾‍♀️

Food was excellent company was even better

We came in on Saturday afternoon. It was pretty dead. We stayed for a few minutes before deciding to leave. There were only three waitresses working outside and no one inside. There were a lot of people on the outside waiting for food as it looked.

First time visit. Here from Atlanta. Rode with my friend since we were told it's a bikers hangout. Thanks to Chelsea for the food recommendation. Had a great shrimp hamburger (gave compliments to the chef), 2 cold beers, and great conversation from a great couple! Will return, but with my wife this time!

Great location on the river with a lot of docking for those who can come by water. Table service with good variety of food on the menu. Live music at times.

I wasn’t expecting much based off the quaint appearance from the outside but the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced! The oysters were so fresh and I ordered the shrimp-hamburger with bacon cheese fries. I can’t necessarily say I had good service though, because my server took a long time to attend to me and forgot about me a couple times but this is a review purely based off the food which was great.
