Great place to experience. Authentic southern seafood. Quick service and fair portion sizes. If you want anything sautéed you cannot get it in a combo with something fried. Had to get the crab claws by the pound and made to order. Anything sautéed you cannot place over the phone. Overall great food so it’s worth it. Ordered: Combo of two: Oysters & crab claws (fried) Oyster Dinner (fried) (Sautéed) Shrimp (Sautéed) Crab claws Steamed potatoes Okra Hush puppies

I really wanted to like it, but I didn't crab cakes were so gross shrimp was not cooked well crab was good not great. We were the only people there, and it took 28 minutes to get our food. It's was run by kids, including cooks, who were all on their phones. The place is disgustingly dirty. The walls have food stains all over, and the bathroom was so nasty that my husband held it until we left, and he is a guy who doesn't normally care.

Today I called and asked if there was crawfish and the person who answered said no. Instead of stating they were closed due to maintenance. So I waste my time and gas driving there after being up since 4 am working. Beyond pissed off. Why not just simply not answer or state the maintenance issue?

Food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. You get a good amount of food for what you pay for.

Great food, clean store, and awesome services. My to go place for fresh seafood. We recently purchased the Cajun crawfish boil with the sausages, corns, and potatoes, which are delicious and competitively priced.

The crab claws are good. The seafood boil platter, the potatoes and corn was good, the sausage needs more cooking. The shrimp needs to be headless and boiled more!

I was here in 2019, and I haven't had any seafood this good since then. I'll be back hopefully to get a second and third round. UPDATE: I tried to get there, but only made it to Huntsville. I'll get there. I'm praying! 4/30

We grab lunch there all the time. It's quick and convenient. And is so delicious. If you get a chance to try it please do. You won't be disappointed. It's fantastic.

Bought 10 pounds of crawfish. They forgot my potatoes and sausage and half of the crawfish were dirty and the inside was basically rotten making them inedible. WASTE OF MONEY!!

Crawfish fanatic and this place rivals most of in the city. Lemon Pepper and Cajun are on point. Don't even care about the price right now cause everyone is high. I would give them a 5 star but the service isn't consistent enough for that. Rarely do I say this but I have never had a bad plate or crawfish order. Underrated for sure.

I find it awkward this many people complained of the same horrible quality of their shrimp. Mobile does not need another seafood restaurant that likely store 20,000 lbs of last year's seafood in their storages until its convenient, it's bad business practice to overfish, given that the ocean is becoming more and more empty...well that's one theory of why for the first time in my life I might have nightmares about the seafood chasing me. I woke up out of my sleep after taking only one spoonful of gumbo, regurgitating nothing but the spiciest brown gravy my mom never made along with cooked and raw crab claws in it; oh the cross-contamination! Well, I felt like foreigners moved in and tried to duplicate for gain sake but not for morality. Every food product I ingest out in the public, I'm concerned for the Soul of the human who prepared it, as they will also impact my own soul through direct contact. I imagine those shrimps were laid waste to a long time ago, that's why they appear overcooked, they were probably stored at the wrong temp and who knows what else. Although, they know best how to sugarcoat **it, is it worth it? Not for me, a first timer and last timer in their establishment. I almost panicked when I woke up trying to cough out the burn from the spices lodged in my windpipes. I mean really, who has ever called brown-gravy gumbo, get real. I'm almost offended this "side-show bob" business has customers. "This is the Seafood Capitol of the World, Craig!" You can't just come out here half-stepping just cause someone told you we're a seafood people. My worst seafood experience, I can season my own seafood, so why do I need a cross-contamination company to do it for me. No Thanks, I love having a healthier gut, and most certainly will pass on needing a penicillin shot to cure food poisoning we paid $40 dollars for from overcooked crookedness. Think about it, food trauma stays with you for life until you heal inside your soul. That's why it's called "Soul Food", not cause it was cooked by our ancestors only, but because it was good for the soul, not bad for your gut. We live in a society where we need to slow down and eat at home, if we want to avoid bad gut cancers, etc. I care who cook my food, yes I do, you only get to fool me with your food once and you'll never see me again in the same capacity. It's bout time the CDC, MobCounty Health Dept, and FDA paid these overfishing seafood imposters a visit! Check out the spicy brown gravy soup below, aka "gumbo with raw & cooked crab claws". I go see the world for 10 years and come bk to this foolery, bad for our reputation for sure! They don't even address public health concerns. I'm sorry to the customers below who had the same experience. Some stuff should never happen... Like the "Seafood House"

I bought 8 pounds of shrimp half mild half spicy when I opened them half of them were uncooked half of them were overcooked taste of like water and the season and was only on top of it and it looked like half of what I ordered wasn't there when I called up there they said they couldn't do nothing but put them back in the steamer I asked to speak to the manager and they would not let me. Will never be going back

Very good fresh gulf coast southern style seafood. No frills, no fuss, just good food.

Not too important of atmosphere here since it's just sit, eat and go place. Food is very tasty. Love the seafood choices. If your passing by this region go try them. If I ever pass by here again I would definitely go.

The food is always great! Go early for gumbo, sells out frequently. People there are always friendly. Kids love shrimp and fish, seafood house fries are the bomb!

My family would 100% recommend their fried food selection. I would NEVER recommend their steam option. We steamed shrimp with them and it came out overcooked. At first I thought just the smaller of the shrimp were like this but even the larger of them were very rubbery. I even got out samples to show the workers and he just looked at them. He went to the back and I was asked how long I had left the foil on my shrimp. We'd been there the whole time. This staff handed us our food as we sat right down. He went back to the back and came back to our table. Instead of someone from the back coming out, this young man gave me a lesson on how shrimp was steamed and what happens and how if you let them "sit too long they get hard." I had been there sitting for 20 minutes with the foil off. Every time I answered his questions the worker went back to the back and then came back with another lesson on shrimp and said they said that is just how shrimp is." No, no its not. So I asked again for someone to come look and I was told they would redo what I hadn't eaten. So I said fine and while shrimp came out better (also came out faster than the original order) they were shrimp. I won't say they were good because they just steamed them. No seasoning. No anything. Just some paprika. What I assume to be the owners never came out to speak to us just came out to talk to the worker and look at us. The shrimp was better even after we left and got back to our hotel room. No rubbery, shriveled and hard shrimp. I don't even believe I got back what I paid. I was just glad to get out of there. I am not above paying for good good. That was part of our vacation down here. Would never go back. $30 of shrimp disappointment. Also, egg rolls should be ordered in less than 4. Trust me. Check the math. Also, I was told "that is just how the shrimp is..." and "...if I didn't like the new shrimp...."this was all they were willing to do...." How about just try? I am always willing to cry some place again, but not this place. Yeah you got my money, but that's it.

Great seafood, steamed or fried. Eat in at ~4 tables. Or purchase fresh seafood to take home. Parking can be a challenge. Crab claws, fried, are good, but small.

Was really looking forward to ride home and eating my pre meal. ( a sausage and 2 eggs) They left out my eggs 🤦🏿‍♂️. I always trust them to have my order right. It's my fault that I left without checking, but yall know me. Gotta take a STAR away, but yall still got my vote⭐️⭐️⭐️ Get back to 4. And open that 2nd door for wheeling customers.

You don't go here for the atmosphere, you go for the seafood. The steamed shrimp potatoes and corn. The fried catfish is always a strong choice.

Great food and prices. I've had po boys and the some seafood plate/combos. All delicious.

Food was decent for the price. Was shorted one item that we paid extra for so we had to drive back with the receipt in hand and it was added to complete the order.

I love the seafood house. The crawfish and sautéed crab claws are my favorites. The atmosphere and staff are decent, but there's one girl I really like. My only complaint is that they close at 8:00 PM but start closing at 7:45 PM. Consistency with closing time would be appreciated. Still worth visiting for delicious seafood.

This place is amazing! Definitely worth the visit.

I had the catfish po-boy and the gumbo. You get ample food for 2 with the po-boy, but the catfish was too salty. You can forget the gumbo. They put crab claws and shrimp in it, but the taste was unremarkable. Even the Campbell's Soup Gumbo tastes better. The guy in the back cooking had long floppy hair and should have had it pulled back or covered.

Server has bad attitude's as if they don't want their jobs which runs off on customers creating a bad atmosphere.

I love the crawfish (both cajun & lemon pepper flavor) here. The portion for the combo platters are generous and fried to perfection! The girls at the front are nice and helpful as well.

Saw the crawfish sign on building and decided to give it a try. I wish I hadn't! The crawfish tasted weird. For every 10 crawfish you ate...1 was flavorful, the other 9 made you wonder what the heck am I eating! I also ordered 2lbs of steamed shrimp and it was a total tasteless disappointment as well. The one staff member I interacted with was nice and that's the only reason they're getting an extra star! Maybe their fried seafood is better, because that's all I saw anyone ordering. But, if you want boiled or steamed .....don't waste your money.

This is the best seafood house i been to in Mobile. THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE THE OPTION OF PEELED STEAM SHRIMP... AWESOME! So far, I'm addicted.

I waited to clean 1 fish for 20 minutes... They don't have any customers only me and see what I got it... It's not worth what I paid... 🤨

It's really a take out and raw seafood place. They don't take phone orders. But they have a few booths to sit in while you wait for your order. We got a half pound each of fried shrimp and oysters plus 2 sides of onions to go. The oysters tasted good. A few of the shrimp had the iodine taste, as if they were salted with Iodized salt before cooking but most of them were good. The onions were good. All of it tasted good but like the fryer oil was getting old. Not quite as good as past visits. The prices of shrimp and onions haven't gone up in a few years but oysters have doubled since 2018. The atmosphere is retail not cozy restaurant..

Shrimp and crab claws. The shrimp was good but the crab claws had very little meat. Few tables and the TV was too loud.

The customer service was great but the food was okay, nothing to brag about.

My order of fish, shrimp and crab claws was bad. The fish had no seasoning. I believe the cooking oil is too old because everything tasted like old oil. The coleslaw really needs help. I BBC am seeking a new seafood store! Not worth the money I spent.

Bought two turkey neck dinners today. Got home got ready to eat and I notice a sour smell. Just an unusual smell than what it usually smells like. Start stirring the rice around and found a weevil. Which means the rice had weevils and most likely weevil eggs. So anybody who at rice today from The Seafood House ate weevils. So disgusting they probably have to much rice in stock and not rotating the rice properly. Not only was the rice infested with weevils. The rice was old and spoiled. They should be ashamed.

So I against my better judgement I gave this place another shot at a steamed seafood plate, and again it was the worst. The potatoes had some type of white dots all over the skin and dark black as if the potatoes were rotten before they cooked them. The shrimp were over cooked and gummy, the crab was salty and watery. The only thing that wasn’t a issue was the corn. This place has truly gone down hill. And they clearly don’t read these reviews and take notes and make the necessary changes per the reviews. I’ll go to happy tails from here on out! I’m over this place.

Shrimp was a good price. The restaurant could have been a bit cleaner. Staff seemed bored. Would be my 2nd choice for picking up seafood.

This place has fallen all the way off, I use to drive across town to get my seafood plates from this place. But lately this place has been getting worse and worse. Tonight my plate watery, potatoes were hard and undercooked, corn was undercooked, Shrimp gummy I think Im done with this place. Won’t be going back.

My go to sea food boil spot. The fish is fresh, the spiciness is just right, the prices are fair. I try to take all of my guest to Mobile here at least once while they visit.

Order a platter for me and my family, included crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, egg and sausage…. It really wasn’t appetizing slightly overdone and Each and every one of us was sick throwing up later that night of course the sign on the door says no refunds but never again will we be back

After reading multiple reviews I decided to visit this establishment. Upon entry I was greeted and assisted with ordering. Everything is going well for my first experience. One of the items I ordered was the seafood house fries which I was told came with cheese. Upon checking my order after waiting for 15 mins the fries do not appear to have any cheese on them. I ask the "manager" Olivia to confirm cheese is included. She tells me yes and proceeds to tell me cheese is on the fries. To confirm I'm not blind, I asked other paying customers if they could see cheese. No one saw any cheese. After spending upwards of $80+ on my first visit I figured I could at the minimum get a cup of shredded cheese to go. The "manager" Olivia proceeds to get very rude and snatched the box to "add" cheese. She then returns with my order overcooked and buried in cheese. I was denied a chance to speak with a supervisor. With that being said, this will be my first and last time spending my money at this establishment. Poor service and poor attitudes from the "managers" overrides the taste of food.

I bought five pounds of fresh shrimp 3 days ago and it was spoiled!!! I Tried to call and speak with someone but the phone went to voicemail. Plus on the receipt said all sales or final which isn’t right when I received rotten shrimp!

They we're good. Alot better since they added seating inside. Very clean . Parking is very tight and not enough space.

Just moving to the area and this was my first taste of sea food in this area. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Delicious food and service was quick and professional. First impressions are everything and they got it right. Will definitely be back.

At the restaurant I ordered the catfish dinner..the seafood was cooked and served hot...very delicious food, clean restaurant ,parking facility ok but could be expanded..some days when business is booming parking is tight

Obviously keep there phone off the hook when there busy (or at least one employee is!!) Tried calling over 3 hours on a Saturday, so I drove over, stood in the lobby (which they were very busy) I called from my cell and yep, couldn't get thru, but yet the heavier foreign girl with the glasses had it in her hand the whole time?? When I FINALLY got my order, it was COLD, it had sat and got cold sitting behind the counter!! They focus so much on taking orders, then those if us who are waiting or call ins get stuck in the same line as everyone else, while your food gets cold. The flavor was AWESOME, as well as the portions, but the cooks technique was pretty bland as the shrimp and claws were WAY over fried. The pricing is ok, but probably could have enjoyed that 50 bucks on something else 😐 We treat ourselves to seafood dinner every Saturday, I think we'll be checking around for few more options.

Purchased 3 half shrimp poboys dressed. Flavor was decent and portion was good - fries included. But Poboys aren't dressed (at least not in the traditional way). Not as many shrimp as other places give, but with giving these two disclaimers to poboy lovers, I'd still suggest this place. During Lent be prepared to wait on Fridays because they are really busy.
