We love to try different restaurants when we travel. The only requirement is that there are vegan options. Sometimes this just ends up being a salad with the chicken removed. The Studio had multiple, fabulous vegan options in every category! The stand out in the appetizer category was a “meat” pie that was encrusted in pillowy dough so light and crispy that I almost canceled the rest of my meal to order more of them. The main course consisted of a “Hippie loaf” and a decadent cheese ravioli and other things I can’t even remember now. I think I’m still in the food, the next day! There was so much food that I had to get that part of the meal to go. Both of our mains were absolutely fantastic! We have had vegan food and all of the major cities in the US and quite a few cities in Europe, and these were easily in the top of the list! But then we had the dessert !!! Even restaurants who have nice vegan dinners typically only provide a little lump of sorbet at the end of the meal for vegans. This restaurant had three main desserts. We ordered two of them to share. One was the richest chocolate tart I have ever experienced! It was so good that I ate the rest of it, even though I felt a little nauseous from being too full! The second one was a perfect blueberry crumb cake with ice cream, which was also perfect!! As we were leaving, we talked to the owner and her husband who is also the chef. They are such a lovely people. She explained to us that they are vegan and all of a sudden it all made sense. Of course they were! People who are not vegan don’t typically make these kind of amazing meals for us. Thank you guys so much. We will be back when we are here!

If you love yourself and are in Hilton head, vegan or not, you'll visit the studio. OH MY GOD when I tell you that the food I got was some of the best food I've ever had, it's an understatement. Might just be the sole reason I come back to Hilton head if I ever do, it's that good. And the cherry on top? It's also an art gallery. What are you waiting for? Just make the reservation already!!!

This place is the best! My wife and I had some of the best dinner dates of our lives here on previous Hilton Head vacations. We were with our adult children on our most recent Hilton Head trip so we brought them along with us and were pleased that the Studio gave the entire family such an amazing experience. The food was outstanding for our vegan family. We all ordered something different and had a great time sampling off each other's plates. I particularly liked the "steak" with crepes and risotto. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent live music (a very tasteful selection of acoustic guitar songs.) I am so grateful to all who gave our family such an enjoyable and memorable experience!

Great dinner at The Studio as always. Lanona and team always make it special. Food is always amazing complemented by the perfect martini. Tripadvisor has this venue identified as Italian. It is not. If you are looking for a place for "pizza with the kids", this is NOT your place. Quiet, music (often live) and an incredible dining experience. We live here. Trust me on this...

It’s been about 15yrs since I’ve dined at the studio. Been twice in the past with great experiences. This time again was great as well. Mid week it did not have live music, but had a relaxed environment. The art work adds a nice atmosphere. Service was great and attentive. Started with the shrimp bisque and the soup special. Both were very good. Entries were the scallops and the pallet which is petite fillet, lamb chops and grouper. Bothe were fantastic dishes, of the trio enjoyed the grouper the best. While it may look pricey the quality is there making dining here a value as opposed to a splurge.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the BEST restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the STAFF 👏🏻 it was all a 10/10 for me. I can’t wait to come back.

Great people. The food was good, but charging over $30 for a vegan meal made with impossible meat is steep. I was expecting something more original.

Creative presentation of food. We thoroughly enjoyed our sea diver scallops and cioppino with Mahi-mahi. Excellent service and good wine list. Fun to walk around the restaurant with a glass of wine admiring the art work. We will definitively return in the future.

This restaurant has a varied menu, good food, good service. It is quiet making conversation easy. It is a more intimate experience than many HHI restaurants.

The food is outstanding. We had the buffalo cauliflower (vegan, gf) and it's the best we've ever had. We had the soup of the day, full of vegetables and absolutely delicious. Also the vegetable pad Thai which was not a traditional pad Thai flavor, but absolutely delicious. The menu is so wonderful that we wish we could go again (but were just passing through). Definitely pricy but appropriate for the quality ingredients and excellent preparation. The service was lovely. The restaurant is full of local oil paintings and beautiful.

Dining here is an absolute treat. The food is always consistently good as well as the service! It's become a bit pricey but for a once in a while splurge this is your place. It is a gallery as well as a fine dining restaurant. Several vegan options are available as well it that's your thing. Nice wine and drink menu. Will definitely be returning !

One of the few restaurants that has extensive vegan offerings (and not just salads). Service was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, which we appreciated. We also enjoyed wandering around the restaurant, admiring the artwork. If you want a romantic evening with excellent food, service, and ambience, this is it.

The total dining experience is what we search for and rarely find in current times. Perfect blend of service with grace, unexpected food quality, and gorgeous music plus fine wine and hand craft cocktails. What more can you ask for but please, we want to be able to get a table next month!!

We had a great evening at The Studio. Our meals were wonderful and the service was exceptional. Everyone is extremely friendly and attentive.

Appetizers , salads, and entrees were nicely prepared and presented. One of our servers was polite and helpful. A second server was unreasonable and gruff when we indicated that our cocktails had an unpleasant taste and we couldn’t drink them. The cocktails were removed from our table but not from our check. When I questioned their inclusion on our check, I was told they would not be removed. What a shame to treat a new customer in this manner. I will not be returning and will recount this unpleasant and rude approach to anyone who mentions this restaurant. Bad PR isn’t worth the cost of these two nasty flavored cocktails. What a shame!

Small boutique restaurant giving us 5 star food and service!!

Our dinner was most deliciously prepared. Decor and lighting enhanced feeling the special occasion it was. We were impressed by the excellence of our server and also enjoyed the light live music. The Studio was our best dining experience on the island!

In a world where most restaurants offer mediocre food, The Studio's food is simply outstanding. It has interesting menu choices which are well prepared with a lovely presentation. The service is also some of the best. It's a not to be missed experience.

Further, the vegetarian options are all complete meals with plenty of plant protein. The wine list is great and the service is amazing. It is a must stop every time we visit Hilton Head.

Quiet romantic setting. Gracious friendly staff. Nice variety on menu. Helpful waiter to narrow down choices. Shrimp and Vidalia bisque delicious. The romaine salad has changed but grows on you. The halibut and grouper entrees were fabulous. The sauces on each were heavenly. Finished dinner by sharing lava cake a la mode. A wonderful dining experience! Recommended!

As always, we enjoyed dining at The Studio. The food is superb, and the service was quite good. Our only disappointment was a somewhat negative attitude when one of our diners requested a substitution, This has never happened in our many previous visits. The owner, chef, and server have always been quite open to requests. Service during the rest of the meal was, as ever, both professional and friendly. We definitely intend to return.

This was our first time at the Studio so we didn't know what to expect. What we found was a beautifully decorated, warm and relaxing atmosphere. The bread before the meal was out of this world served with garlic infused olive oil. The Tuna Carpaccio was excellent and our meals delicious. The service along with the food was outstanding!!!! This is now our favorite restaurant on the island.

Overall as always our meals we’re delicious!! I had something new, one of the specials the 16oz Rib eye which was perfectly cooked and a great cut. My wife is vegan and had the Vegan chick-UN dish which she loved. She says the lentils were the best ever! Our service was impeccable. Love this place. You have to try it if you haven’t already.

We have been loyal patrons for 15 years. In talking with the couple next to us, they had been coming for 25. It is a family, and all are welcome. The nicest people in Hilton Head, backed up by incredible food.

So many choices for a vegan traveler. Thought about going a second time. Ate appetizers, meal and dessert and for a non-vegan person, the ice cream was delicious

One of the best restaurants we’ve ever experienced!

We are frequent visitors to HHI but had never tried this place - glad we did. Menu is a mix of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and omnivore items. Many of the wines are organic (tried an organic pinot grigio - very good). We were there for early dinner before a show, so no music, but that was OK - made dinner conversation easy. They bring warm homemade bread while you wait for food. Vegan Mediterranean "chick-un" w ravioli, olives, and something like potato pancakes w asparagus for the vegetarian - excellent. The trio plate for the carnivore - filet w sweet goat cheese, 2 lamb chops, and grouper with crab and cheese served w whipped potatoes and asparagus - excellent. Plus Indian pumpkin dal soup - spicy and delicious. Portions were pretty large - we took quite a bit home. Restaurant is basically 2 connected rooms w original art everywhere. Not cheap but pretty good value. Service was fantastic although maybe because we were there early and so most tables were empty.

This restaurant is a great find and addition to the HHI dining options. Great vegetarian options but also some of the best steaks and seafood that we have had on the island. The service is also top notch…highly recommend dining here when on HHI

The food and service at the Studio are outstanding. Very creative dishes and good wine selection.

We came for dinner upon the recommendation of a very close friend and were thrilled by both the ambience of the dining room and the kindly reception of our hosts. Both of us ordered the special platter serving of grilled filet mignon and baby lamb chops drizzled with a fine cabernet reduction plus a grouper filet swimming n its own beurre blanc sauce. These were served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The only recommendation we might offer is that the broccolini be blanched a bit longer, because only the florets were tender enough for us to eat. We will certainly be coming back.

After looking over the menu and reading the reviews, my sister and I decided to try this restaurant. It’s a smaller space does have outside seating their artwork is amazing as is the food great place if you’re vegan or vegetarian, but they have full menu with other options. I had a halibut and I’m always cautious when ordering it. It can sometimes be over cooked. It was perfect! The service was incredible servers Gavin and Amanda or pleasant and attentive. I feel it came out hot . I would definitely eat here again Highly recommend !

We had the shrimp/vidalia soup and the pumpkin curry soup and both had the diver scallops. All excellent not to mention the wine and breads! Came home with enough left overs for dinner tonight!

Phenomenal! We tried desperately to get a reservation because we were in Hilton Head to celebrate our anniversary. Well…No luck! But, fortunately, the owner was able to squeeze us in. The experience was absolutely mesmerizing, from the hand painted art to the culinary artistry of the chef. Gavin ensured our dining experience was unforgettable. Run don’t walk to The Studio!!!!

I had an awful experience at this restaurant. They discriminated against us and, shockingly, had nothing suitable for kids to eat. We reluctantly decided to leave after having some drinks. The owner's behavior was disgraceful when she saw us leaving; she rudely asked us to lower our child's volume, claiming it would disturb other guests. Beware of this place, it's not worth your time or money!

This was not our first visit to the studio, and again, they provided an outstanding experience. The food, excellent options available for both vegan and vegetarian and those wanting land or sea. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is very eclectic. We will be returning again!

I’m the only vegan in my family, but we came to The Studio and not only did they have incredible, unique vegan options, but they had something for my (very “discerning” (; ..) parents as well. They loved their meals. We even came back a second time during our trip with friends! 10/10 recommend, and when you visit, ask for Gavin! He was incredibly attentive and helpful, and gave great recommendations. The vegan jerk chick’un was perfection.

I had a soup and a salad. Both were unique and very tasty. The portions were large and with the homemade bread it was more than enough food.

We both had the escargot to start which were good, but not great. My husband ordered the grouper and I had the seared scallops as our entrees. Both were cooked to perfection with delicious sides. Portions were generous. The chocolate dessert was scrumptious and huge. We have added The Studio to our list of HHI restaurants that we will frequent in the future. We will go there for the delicious food and service, not the art. The art does not do justice to the quality of the food. If anything, it detracts from the experience.
