Fresh made empanadas! Great service!

I visited Lexington Market today for the very 1st time and was overwhelmed by the options and was about to leave when I came across Tio G’s and a woman told me it was her 1st time here too and the empanada she had was so delicious that she had to come back and get another one. I heeded her advice and ordered pernil and it was delicious! Definitely recommend patronizing them.

Dude was super friendly, speaks Spanish, and serves the best empanadas and fries combo in the Baltimore.

This review is for the shrimp and crab cheese empanada. I've had the steak and cheese which is good, but really go for the shrimp and crab cheese. When I first had Tio G's empanada ( October 2023) it was out of this world, HUGE lumps of crab meat, well seasoned shrimp flakey crust. I went back a week later and bought four more, amazing still. I just recently moved to the Inner Harbor and could not wait to go to Tio G's to pick up my empanadas. They had a three for $25 special. Oh the disappointment when I bit into it. The shrimp was over seasoned and mushy and the crab meat was almost non-existent. A complete 360 from the last visit.

From the first time I had Tio G’s Empanadas, I was hooked! I go to Lexington Market every Saturday And stopping to pick up eight empanadas for the week is mandatory. The dough is flaky, and the empanada is filled with your choice of beef Cheese, Chicken or crab with shrimp there are two different types of sauces, but the orange dipping sauce is my favorite. I cannot in this review without saying that the customer service is amazing! If you are in the Baltimore area, stop by Tio G’s in Lexington Market.

Do yourself a favor and come here!! The shrimp crab and cheese empanadas are amazing. I have to tell myself I can’t eat them daily.

All of the empanadas are FIRE 🔥 (as in good) even the veggie one was delicious and I’m a huge meat eater. The flavors make them some of the best I’ve ever had! We got some extras to go and Jay informed me to reheat them in the air fryer and they’re just as good as fresh made, seriously ! The staff is also so welcoming, kind, and helpful with making decisions right for you and your hunger. I hope they open up more locations in the DMV, they definitely need one in VA.

I visited this place when I was on vacation for new years. The flavor of the empanadas are unmatched. We drove 2 hrs to go back and get more. These are the only empanadas I will eat from now on

THE BEST EMPANADAS I’VE EVER HAD! I drive from Virginia to get these! I stumbled upon them when the new Lexington Market opened up and every time I’ve gone I’m greeted with a smile and an update on new menu items to try. My new favorite menu item are their Dominican Bowls which come with your choice of oven baked chicken or pernil (pulled pork). The pernil is the best pernil I’ve tasted in the DMV. They always keep me coming back for more. Hands down best empanadas and Dominican food in Baltimore! You won’t regret it!

LISTEEEENNNN: This place is real authentic Hispanic food! The arroz con gandules (rice and pigeon beans) taste just like my moms cooking. The empanadas were *chefs kiss. The topping on the cake for me was that they provide you with mayo-ketchup for your empanadas. Customer service was A1. Very friendly and handsome❤️ Will be back soon!

I absolutely love this place! I've gone 3 days in a row for their delicious empanadas. The Crab and shrimp empanda is absolutely phenomenal!! With jumbo shrimp and sweet lump crab meat... you will definitely want to get 2 of these because 1 isn't enough. The beef and blackened salmon empanadas are not to be forgotten either. They are absolutely delicious as well. They also have homemade, natural fruit lemonade that are refreshing and thirst quenching. Aside from the food, customer service is top notch. The cashier who waited on me was extremely friendly, always smiling, and knowledgeable of the products. He makes you want to return simply to say hello. All and all...you will not be disappointed going here.

I absolutely love the empanadas. The food is made fresh when you order and the owners are always so pleasant. I work close to Lexington market and visit them at least once a week. It’s nice to have a different food selection and I tell everyone how good they are!!!!!

The Empanadas are so delicious, by far the most excellent I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The sauces are amazing! I truly recommend Tio G's to all in search of tastebud seducing freshly made greatness! Trust me, pay him a visit, Steak, cheese Empanadas are on point! Tio G’s is definitely a highlight of Lexington Market for me.Yeah, there are other diverse eatery’s in here but no one makes you feel more at home than G. G and his brother always have the brightest and most genuine smiles to really let you know they appreciate their customers. Everything is always hot, homemade and fresh.. The area they’re located at in the market is right next to the elevator so it’s a bit busy but they make up for it by walking your food to wherever you’re seated at. Love them!!
