my daughter got engaged here recently, they were so accommodating with our ever growing group, so helpful and went above and beyond! amazing staff, food was excellent and the ambiance was a pleasure. highly recommend!

Good food, good service, good vibes

We went here for our daugher-in-laws birthday. We had an outstanding time. We were in at 5pm and were there several hours. The Jazz band started around 7:30 but they weren't too loud and they were very good. Our waitress was excellent and had a great sense of humor which worked great for your group. The food was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. They were busy and it wasn't even in season yet. This is great for special occasions or just having an enjoyable dinner with someone special.

The food here used to be good like 6 years ago, it’s very mid now… and the bill was around 400 dollars with the tip. Steak was tough so was the lobster. They must have gotten a new cook. I will say the service was good and the music and atmosphere was nice also, but I came here to eat good food. Maybe it was a hit or miss night but I can’t afford to come back and find out after last night.

My sister, her husband, and I started off with the incredibly divine muscles and the red sauce. There are server also brought us an amazing loaf of bread with garlic and olive oil and Parmesan on the side. We were able to dip the bread into the bread sauce. Absolutely spectacular. My sister had The perfectly cooked angel hair pasta and my brother-in-law had the New York strip with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Melt in your mouth good on all accounts. I had the shrimp and scallops and lobster, which was kind of spicy. I forget the name it spectacular. It was absolutely wonderful. I cannot remember time where I had a better meal in Fort Meyers/Naples area.

Was here last sat for my wifes birthday the ny strip steak and lobster tail was the best I've ever had.the filet as well. Expensive but well worth it.

Best duck breast ever! Caprese salad cold and fresh. Service was spot on. A great dinner experience!

Highly recommended by a local foodie group for an anniversary dinner while taking a few quiet days on the west coast. While it vibes a bit older than I expected, it was quaint and pleasant. Great live music, and adorable older couples dancing on the dance floor. Beyond that, the service was impeccable. From making the reservation to the greeting upon arrival, to the excellent service from Ed and the service staff, I couldn't have asked for better (maybe for online reservation capability but after arriving, it made more sense). The food was fabulous, Ed could not have been better host to us. So glad we took a shot on a restaurant with a name and location far subpar to the product they offer. Glad I listened to the locals on this one!

Okay, I wish this was a better report. We have been going to the Roadhouse for about ten years. This time was a much less enjoyable experience than any previous visit. The good stuff: the band was excellent, as always Roadhouse bands have been. The atmosphere in terms of decor and lighting, space between tables, etc., is unchanged. But here comes the hard part. Service: our server announced that there were only a couple left of one of the specials, and none left of the seafood specials. Given that they had only been open 90 min, this is already a mystery. My husband requested one of the remaining specials, and we ordered appetizers, and our server went to another table. Then another. She did not return until the apps were being served, and it was to announce that the special was unavailable. Since we had watched her meander around the room, he realized that she had not gone to the kitchen directly and reserved one. Oh, well, he ordered something else. Food: the good: our son loves the lobster bisque, and Roadhouse was tight up to his memories of it. My husband's steak was also good. The not: up until this visit I had never had anything that wasn't delicious at the Roadhouse. This time was different. For background I spent 4 years living in Boston quite a while ago, and I happen to love schrod. It can be tricky, but I had had it at Roadhouse several times in years past, and there was never a problem. This time it smelled strongly of ammonia and the breading was barely cooked, let alone the delightful golden browning they used to have. The steamed/sauteed vegetables (mostly chunks of squash quartered up) were quite... crisp. The baked potato was ok, a little dark and not quite fluffy, but next to the schrod, it was great. This was an occasion dinner and I was not about to spoil it especially after the disappointment of the special, so I ate the potato. Tried different locations on the schrod but none were entirely free of ammonia. By 7:30, the number of occupied tables was well down. It really makes me sad to see this. If they have changed chefs, that might explain the food issues. At this time, given that two of the three entrees were good, we may try again, but I'll avoid the schrod.

Never judge a book by its cover. The shopping center where it is located looks nearly abandoned. But I tell you this, it is one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in a very long time! Excellent food. Excellent service. Well put together wine list. Our waiter, Kevin was top drawer all the way. From great table side manner to Excellent and proper wine service, he was on point! Danny Sinoff and his jazz trio were truly fantastic and we'll be looking out for him the next time we are in the area. In all seriousness, this was a true highlight of our vacation! Oh, and be sure to checl out their dessert menu. Fron chocolate lava cake to creme bruleé, they cover the bases. And their dessert wine menu finishes it out with Sauternes and Port and everything in between. I chose the Port Sampler to go with our creme bruleé. Highly recommend!!

We've gone here several times in the past 3 years. Menu is limited, but in fairness, my husband loves the menu, so it's really all in what you like. From the drinks and bar service to the dining experience, you will be treated well by pleasant people in the old style of service. The live music, couples' dancing, service, and food all lend to an atmosphere that is one of a kind. Its a wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary, or mark a special occasion.

This is without a doubt one of the best dining restaurants in Lee County. The food is well prepared and they have a great menu, full of choices to suit everyone. The staff are like a well oiled machine. This place is a throw back in time in that it reminds me of a supper club that our parents or grandparents would have gone out to back in the 1920’s-1960’s, - they would go, get a table have a cocktail, have dinner, get up and dance. The star of the show here is the entertainer on Wednesday and Saturday nights - Danny Sinoff. This young man is a jazz piano virtuoso, who also sings well. He does the American songbook and he had a capable backup band as well. He is being discovered by jazz aficionados in New York - some of the top players, so it’s hard to say how long he will continue to play here on a regular basis. You will need reservations the 2 nights a week he is there both in and out of season. Do yourself a favor and go and spend a night here. You will not regret it.

BEST STEAK FOR MILES AROUND ! "Nuf said". Just make sure to bring your wallet. (They require more characters soooooooooo!)

First time visit with friends on a Saturday. The surrounding area looks like a scene of a horror movie, empty parking lots and closed department stores. The restaurant however, is very nice. We had a 715 reservation and we were 30 minutes early. I was disappointed when I was told we had to wait outside. Every restaurant I’ve ever been to usually directs me to wait at the bar where I take advantage of their wine and liquor selection. I asked the manager why and his response was that they had reserved bar seats for customers as well. Never heard of this but hey we went with it. We waited outside for 25 minutes it was still warm out , so not a happy camper. We were very happy to be seated and their was a live jazz band. They were very good! We meet our server, Teresa. She was lovely and was excellent. I took advantage of their wine menu and found some great choices. We had, scallops, veal and the steak. All were very good although I would have liked the portions to be more generous. I will revisit sometime , but I definitely won’t be early.

Amazing night. Food and drinks were spot on. Guys started off with angels envy Old fashioneds, ladies had cosmopolitans. All drinks were perfect. Appetizers included soup of the day, escargot in a sauce over pasta, and the beet salad. Delicious. Dinner was surf and turf with the filet and scallops, salmon special, and scallops over risotto. Delicious again. Jazz music all night long was amazingly fun. Highlight of the night was Theresa who was on top of everything all night long. She made the night extra special feeling. A jewel. Would be back over and over again. Thank you so much.

Busy Friday night at The Roadhouse Cafe. Atmosphere is like a cozy restaurant on a cruise ship. A welcome change from the abandoned mall Outside in the Iona section of Fort Myers. Jazz music with Jamaican singer set a lovely mood. Many tables celebrating birthdays which were acknowledged. The service was attentive but not rushed. The menu choices were varied and special dietary needs are easily accommodated. A beet salad, pork chops, chicken with delicious rice and scrod were all enjoyed at our table. We skipped dessert. The band takes a break and the tables turn over for a new set of customers and music.

We had a great time. Old school decorating and live jazz music. Food was excellent as was the service !!! I had the Duck which was fantastic

We had a great time. It was our first visit to the Roadhouse Cafe.

We arrived 5 minutes late for our 5PM reservation, (traffic). Although we were late we were the third table seated as all the other tables in the restaurant were empty. Our entrées were served at 6:35 PM 11/2 hours later. Let me point out that the restaurant was completely full by then and that everyone that arrived after us was served before us. A clear indication that our order was dropped somewhere along the line. Waiter, chef, I’m not sure who but there was a problem. During this time we didn’t complain which would have meant going to the front door to see management as no one checked on our table. After finishing our meal we sat until 6:52 until the manager cleared our bread plate and asked if we would like to see the dessert menu. He also informed us that he had made special arrangements and moved some customers to other tables so that we could stay until 7:15 and then had to leave. Based on the length on time that out entrées took to arrive dessert in 15 minutes was an impossibility. To be clear after being ignored or poorly served for two full hours, we were now being asked to leave before we could have coffee, dessert, or after dinner drink. My advice to everyone who reads this review is to avoid this restaurant at all cost until the manager is fired. PS after all that time and a $300 bill, the food was mediocre at best. Try as I may to patronize local businesses I refuse to be insulted by their poorly train management. Let’s all get together and ignore this restaurant like we were ignored.

It's worth every penny. The music was superb, the staff was professional and enjoyable. The New York strip steak was the best I've had in a long time. Two thumbs up.

My experience was amazing. The jazz music and the total presentation gave it a romantic ambience. The customers that were there were even amazing and friendly. The only issue I had was that it took over a hour for our dinner to arrive, but the food was delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Service was great if a little slow, but on Saturday night in season for a party of 8 it was fine. The amount of veal (3 small pieces) for $38 was disappointing as was the fact they served it over spaghetti with a brown sauce. Didn't go with the gorgonzola cheese at all. OK food but not 5 stars.

I went boudha with some of my foreigner friends and we were craving for some pizza so we decided to go roadhouse cafe which was located inside of boudha with amazing view of boudha our server was soni rai she tell us about the happy hour which was 2 gorkha beer at very cheap price we also order mexicana non veg pizza roadhouse blues pizza fresh juice and momo it was very delicious it was worth its price according to its quality and quantity my foreigner friends were satisfied with here pizzas and foods .I will like to thank soni raii for recommending us these pizzas we will come here again😊😊

What a great place tucked away in a small shopping plaza! The food and drinks were amazing, I had the NY Strip, my wife had the salmon and both were cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive and friendly and there was live jazz starting at 630! Don't make the same mistake we did, make your reservations several days in advance. We did not and got a 5:15 seating so we only enjoyed the music during dessert.

This is my most favorite place to dine! I came here for my last 3 birthdays and always have had the best time! Food, service and atmosphere is amazing! I will keep coming for sure!! Thank you Roadhouse for keeping the old fashion type of “customer service”, which is uncommon these days and hard to find at restaurants. Love this place!!

This is one of our favorite places to go in Fort Myers. As a local, I had no idea we had such good food and service anywhere. The entertainment is too notch. Great place to unwind and eat a fantastic meal. They are willing to make changes to meet our dietary needs. We always request Yetka (so?) as our server. She always has a smile, remembers our orders and is so pleasant.

The food is delicious; the servings are generous but not overwhelming; the atmosphere is a bit “back in time” but a welcomed change from other restaurants. The relaxing atmosphere and good food plus the music makes this a nice place to really enjoy dining out’

The Roadhouse Cafe promotes the best service, the best food and the best jazz with the slogan. The ambience is on a very good level with the dimmed lights and live jazz, you can't complain about that. Unfortunately, the food is just above average. We had Antipasti Misti as a starter, the tomatoes were too unripe, the mozzarella was tasteless, only the ham and pesto were OK. For the main course we had fish and lamb. The fish was too dry and the side dish was just average. The lamb was of good quality and was also well cooked, as it should be. Unfortunately the crust was tasteless and simply grilled. The spinach was also rather a disappointment. We eat a lot of international food and it has to be said that it is generally very difficult to eat well in Florida. So it was certainly not the best food in Southwest Florida and certainly not comparable internationally.

Very nice place, very cozy, good atmosphere, super friendly and attentive staff, very tasty food and the group that plays is fantastic. We had a wonderful night in every sense of the word. Place that I would repeat a thousand times more!!!

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at the Roadhouse with a table of 11. The music was nice to listen to and dance with our partners. Our waitstaff was gracious and walked us through the menu. The food was really good as always! Great evening.

Once again, the Roadhouse did not disappoint on New Years Eve. Four of us each ordered something different, and every appetizer, entree and dessert was outstanding. That a kitchen can produce such fine food on such a busy night is amazing. We've been coming here for years and will continue to do so. In addition, the waitstaff is incredible - professional yet friendly, and all work seamlessly together. The music, as always, is very fine, and it was good to see so many up dancing. Don't let the lack of other businesses in the area scare you away from dining here. For some, this restaurant may be on the pricey side. But, the food, service & live entertainment are worth every penny! The filet mignon & lobster combo almost melt in your mouth. The fra diablo was very good with just the right amount of spice. (It would have been inappropriate to lick the bowl.) We chose to bypass appetizers for the orange creamsicle cake, and it was worth the sacrifice! The staff, from the hostess to the server, were VERY customer focused. The live soft jazz music was excellent.

Invisible Patrons. We went to celebrate my 60th Birthday. Though we did not have a reservation we understood that that seating might be limited so we took seats at the bar. It took easily 5-10 minutes to before our drink orders were taken even though there were only 3 other guests who had already been served. My companion does not drink alcohol so requested water. I ordered a Tito's and soda. My cocktail was so light that I could not decipher any alcohol. I am not such a drinker that this was an issue however 10.00 for basically a glass of water was disappointing. There was virtually no eye contact with our bartender or server. We met a very nice patron who noticed the lack of attention to us. We both were in appropriate attire. I cannot express enough how disappointed we were. The food was excellent as always. I bring my parents, 87 and 83 for birthdays and anniversaries every year as it is our favorite. I am so upset. I love the write glowing reviews for wonderful local places but not sm personally hurt

Food and service always exceptional. The Ent tonight was a bit ??? The lead didn’t really want to sing and thru it out to friends that sang and a sax player friend. Unfortunate because she has a great voice but very timid on stage. Mic level should be a lot higher so we could hear her. Did’nt happen.

A delicious restaurant in a strip mall, you’d never guess they have such good food. My husband order to Seafood Fra Diablo and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of seafood. The spice level isn’t too hot but it does have a kick. I tried the Asian stir fry without chicken. I don’t think mixing chicken and seafood was for me so I asked them to leave it out. It was spicy and delicious. A large portion that I took home for lunch the next day. Don’t skip out on dessert, grab carrot cake to go and you’ll have enough for 3 days. Highly recommend making a reservation as they get busy.

went there last night and it was about my 3rd time going. Food this time was below average, especially considering the prices. Started with Clam Chowder that was watery then had a size Caesar salad which came out with little to no dressing on it and 4 croutons. At the price they were charging for a side caesar salad, I expected maybe some shaved parmesan cheese and more then 4 croutons. As my entree I had the scallops with lobster newburg and a crumble cracker crust. Very little newburg and the dish in a whole was very dry. The breadcrumbs were overwhelming. 2 other people at our table had the stuffed porkchop special and the pork chops were also very dry. On a positive note, our waiter was excellent!! I don't mind paying high prices for great food but that is not the case for our experience last night

Steaks are excellent, cooked perfect. Scallops wrapped in bacon are always a good bet. If you visit here once, it will become your favorite place! Great for a date or special occasion.

Fantastic tasty food, probably they have best cook

Always a favorite of mine! Such a fun atmosphere with the white tablecloths and live music. I love the lobster quesadilla. My son is a big fan of their Chicken Parmesan. I love the garlic oil they serve with their bread with whole roasted garlic cloves. Never a bad meal and the service is always on point. I recommend a reservation. I would highly recommend for date night or special occasions.

First time visiting this hidden gem in Fort Myers. Don't let the plaza fool you, this place is amazing. Came for our anniversary and my wife had one of the best steaks ever here. Our service was perfect, and the music really sets this place apart. Highly recommended!!!

Been in Fort Myers 8 years from NYC "The City" and looking for "My Go to Place" ..... well after spending Hundreds of $$$$ for lunches, dinners, from Sarasota to Naples, feeling unfulfilled, we were invited to join our good friends to "The Roadhouse". No NOT the 'Texas Roadhouse' but " The Roadhouse Cafe". A completely different venue. Let me say, there's nothing wrong with the 'The Texas Roadhouse', have been on many, many occasions and enjoyed it immensely. "The Roadhouse Cafe", is a different venue, and it hit the grand slam, atmosphere, staff, cuisine, not the cooking, but up there for what the learned know about "cuisine", aka fine cooking, and the music, from contemporary to jazz, all designed for dancing, if you're so inclined. A bar area and of course tables for singles as well as 2 - 8 and I'm sure for more if needed. The Roadhouse is open from Wed-Sun, from 5-9, reservations are recommended, especially during "Season". I've found my "Go To", for a delightful dinner or just drinks and light fare in the bar area or at the Piano Bar....... an incredibly brilliant, sumptuous, experience. I highly recommend this establishment and after experiencing this sumptuous jazz cafe and you do like it, ask if Jack is there with his wife, and buy me a drink. Enjoy❗️

This could be one of the most over rated restaurants in FT Myers. Perhaps its the music that draws because it is certainly not the food which is dramatically overpriced. Some servers are very good but most are average to poor. Quality is lacking. It has been going downhill for awhile.

Just as special as we remembered. It was our anniversary. Told them when we made the reservation. Surprised to find the table decorated with hearts and enjoyed a lovely surprise dessert. This restaurant has a wonderful ambience. Live jazz music as you dine, really good house wine. Friendly staff, our waitress Debbie never let our glasses get empty. We enjoyed the chicken parmesan large portion and very tasty. Our salad was nice and fresh.

Amazing live jazz music, decadent food, and yummy cocktails it’s always a must when I am in fort myers. Make sure to ask for Debbie— she is outstanding. She made me the best martini I have ever had. I live in New York City. I went to the roadhouse Café for Mother's Day. The food was outrageous. I have never tasted food so delicious and tender in my entire life. The roadhouse cafe is better then any 5 star restaurant i have eaten in Manhattan, New York. I have eaten in many five star restaurants in New York City which cant hold a candle to your establishment. You totally blew me away. I cannot express how delicious all of the dishes were at my table. Antipasto and seafood cocktail for appetizers. hot fresh baked bread served to your table, with extra virgin olive oil with fresh herbs for dipping. All i can say is OMG!!! We had Lobster 12-14 oz tail , veal gorgonzola, tender, melted in your mouth. The lamb chops were divine. I requested medium lamb chops, they were exactly medium. They weren't over cooked they weren't undercooked. They were perfect. The food was absolutely mouthwatering. Plus you get large portions. you can taste the love in the chefs cooking. This chef knows how to cook! I wish I could give 100 stars that's how delicious the food was. The service was impeccable , Lisa was our server for the evening, such a lovely woman. Very kind friendly attentive, she went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect. I can't say enough about her A++++++ on service. The atmosphere. I felt as if I walked into world. Not much to look at on the outside, but when you step inside, I felt that I was transformed to a classy yet comfortable restaurant in Louisiana.
