Went for a friend's birthday. Food was good for the price. The real experience came when the staff sang happy birthday. They flashed the lights, played music, and delivered matcha ice cream. Above and beyond.

I go there once a week for lunch. Love it!

My wife and I have only ordered delivery from here via Uber eats. 50% of the time they get it right and rolls look awesome. The other 50% they don’t even read the notes, same ones I always put, and the sushi rolls looks sloppily put together. There’s been a number of times they’ve forgotten to provide chop sticks and the requested sauces in the notes. Definition of hit or miss.

Has gotten so expensive that makes it difficult to justify a trip here.

The food is very tasty and the portion is for two meals. Everything is fresh and cooked in front of you and the way you like it.

Todo sushi.. what not to say about you. I was close to not writing a review so I could gate-keep you…. I LOVE their friend rice. I love it so much that after dinner I got a whole order togo to have the next day. The rolls are to DIE for. Things to get: special Edamame, bulgogi fried rice, & a Star Wars Roll. Also… service is always PHENOMENAL

Traditional Japanese sushi place that reminds me of Tokyo (except the portion sizes are bigger). The menu is mostly a la carte, so you can select the specific fish you want, not some random, slow-moving items they're trying to get rid of on a "chef's special." Service is fast and friendly, and prices are reasonable for the quality. They have yakitori, which is bbq chicken on a stick and a popular Tokyo street food that is a bit uncommon in the U.S..

Our go to sushi restaurant! Excellent food and service. We love sitting at the sushi bar watching the chefs creating the orders.

Never in my life have I ordered a teriyaki bowl that doesn't come with vegetables. Such a rip off for 14 bucks for rice and a small piece of salmon. Never again would I order this.

Mediocre food. I only went because my daughter wanted to eat there. I called to make sure they would serve us dinner as it already happened before that I arrived before 8pm and they wouldn't serve us dinner even though they close at 8:30pm. Today I called at 7:55pm and they said that if I get there by 8:05 they will serve us dinner and they didn't although we arrived at 8:05pm. I guess it is because they had no guests eating there.... I'm never coming back. Now I understand why it's empty. The picture is the guy to whom I talk to. I asked for his name and he said he doesn't have one... My suggestion: Go to Sushi Hana in PQ instead. Fresh food, great prices and fantastic service.

Everything was great aside from the music; it was blaring. Our server was phenomenal but we had a hard time hearing him over the music blaring from a single speaker that was faced forwards the dining areas. Aside from that, all good and I’d be back but I won’t dine inside. I’ll sit outside Or get it TO GO.

The Chirashi bowl was good The yaki udon wasn’t And the service was ok The price is too high for the quality you get

Food is on point. I love the service. The waiter gave my wofe and i a drink on the house becuase we weren't from area. They made us feel really special and I love people from San Diego! I'm from LA. Good vibes and good food at this restaurant. Prices are very fair. Will definitely return for my next SD TRIP

Their prices for sushi are INSANE. $14 for nigiri - that's $7 for one piece of sushi. $14 for maki rolls. As soon as we got the menu, we could see it was easily going to approach $300 for our group of 3, so we got right back up and left. Some of their other items looked a little more reasonably priced, but for sushi, I don't know why you'd go here unless you were Bill Gates.

Decent sushi, the ramen was not authentic it tasted like top ramen from the package.

It was great, but rainbow sushi could be more than just tuna and salmon. I miss the variety rainbow roll used to bring like shrimp, white tail fish, white tuna, red tuna and salmon with avocado. The sushi was yummy but too simple. Thank you. ❤️

The food is good, however the service is very poor and unfriendly. When you go there it's like you're bothering the servers. The sushi chef is very nice though.

I've been coming to Todo for over 15 years and it's kept it's quality up the whole time. Great sushi and great value. It's American style sushi, but Todo doesn't have the usual issues you always see. The rice is soft and well prepared, and the fish is fresh and well portioned. I recommend the Salmon Skin Tempura Roll, which gives me Korean kimbap vibes. That briny punch from the smoked salmon in the Karen Roll also goes crazy.

So we have been coming here for 25 years, on and off, as we have moved away and back to San Diego. Quality has stood strong. Great family restaurant.

The sushi was fine. They are very understaffed. Everyone was super nice but it took 45 minutes to take our order. We never had our water or drinks refilled. And when dinner was done we had to walk up to someone to pay the bill, which was another 30 mins.

Came here with my wife on a Monday for dinner. They have half of selected items. We ordered gyoza, nigiri and rolls. The fish on the nigiri were okay quality. The eel was the best of the nigiri we ordered. The rolls made up for flavor, although most of the rolls we looked at were just a California roll with different fish on top. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick. The environment was good and not loud. We sat outside where they had heaters to keep the area comfortable. We would come back for their special if we were in the area.

Probably the best quality sushi for the price point in the scrips/Mira Mesa area. I’ve been coming to this place for years and it has never once felt like the quality dropped. The complimentary welcome salad was very good, enough portion to cleanse the pallet and not to fill us up and it had chucks of fish in it. For starter we got the deep fried oysters and didn’t quite look like what I expected. It was good but it’s heavier than any other oyster and it’s not served on the shell. The Todo Roll, that has tomato and onions on it, is tastier than it should be so my compliments to the chef and I highly recommend to everyone to try. The JoJo Roll with the thin slice of lemon was very refreshing and fresh. The lemon added the much needed acidic flavor to the fresh and simple complex of salmon sushi. Awesome roll was ok but our least favorite. It had way too much flavor and different texture that kinda lost its purpose. The torched salmon roll is what the awesome roll should have been. Perfect texture, great complex and just enough flavor. So if you’re thinking about Awesome roll I highly recommend getting this one instead.

Sushi is expensive, but TODO is responsible. The 2 of use had 2 rolls and a salad.

This place has really great bento boxes. The Beef Teriyaki box is one of my favorite lunches.

Typical suburban sushi place. Very close to where I live , so decided to give it a try. Service was friendly and prompt. The sushi is very Americanized with too much sauce on almost everything we ordered, which I wished they didn't do. Ok for once in a while sushi ( not the most authentic).

I would usually get a California roll with baked/ cooked salmon on top. I loved this place because they would extra cook it. However after years of asking for it this way. I called as a regular and one of the guys answered and said he couldn’t do it and how he wasn’t allowed to ask the chef etc stupid customer service. Never coming back

The California hand roll is just GREAT. The rice inside makes up for no rice on the outside.

This place has very tasty sushi, their staff was abundant and very friendly, they each were attentive and kind AND the sushi came out faster than we could finish our miso soup!

Crunch roll was really good but the awesome roll had salmon on top and it was not fresh, couldn’t eat the roll but was charged full price.

For the price you pay it is a decent sushi place. Some of the sushi was a bit loose and gratuitous amount of imitation crab is used in many of the rolls. The service was great but the environment inside can get a bit crowded because the tables are too close.

Great sushi, casual fun environment and large portions. Our first trip their and we loved it. It was much wife's birthday and they sang Happy Birthday, gave her ice-cream and made a fun scene for her. We loved it. We will definitely be back.

The Gyosa and chicken fried rice was so good. The staff are very attentive and also great people.

I highly suggest the Karen roll! It’s got smoked salmon with cream cheese and avocado. It’s also got regular salmon on top! It was our favorite roll. They also have a 50% on the rolls :)

Perfect little Sushi spot that not only has great service, TV's, great comfortable atmosphere, but also has Sushi rolls that are done right! The food is delicious and it's really a perfect location off Carroll Canyon Road and I-15 to stop and enjoy a delicious meal! I highly recommend this place!

Found this sushi place super close to my internship and there was a decent amount of people dining in. They have a lunch special which is pretty sweet for the price. Loved the sushi! Will definitely come back if I'm craving sushi.

My coworkers and I come to this place every week. Super fast and yummy food. I always go with the Modern Sashimi Salad with a side of spicy mayo. Very filling and delicious 😋

Food was great. Our first server, older woman with short hair was quite rude to us, rolling her eyes. She asked my Dad to change his order because the didn't have it and mad when we asked for a menu when she already took all of the menus away. The server after her, young girl with long hair, was very sweet & helpful.

It's hidden from street, they have a lot of options with decent prices for the food they have, they were a little crowded at the time I went by so service to go got quite long.

They were so helpful in warning me about which foods to avoid and which ones were safe to accommodate my food allergy. A good place for gluten free dining.

The best in Scripps Ranch... for whatever that means. The table wait staff is usually slow, but has become a little better recently. Nothing fantastic here. When you are ordering takeout, if you do not specifically ask for miso soup (even though what you ordered is supposed to come with miso soup) they do not give you miso soup. If my order says it comes with miso soup, I shouldn't have to tell them I want miso soup. That was pretty much implied when I gave them my order. Todo Sushi is overpriced and is average to below average all things considered.

You absolutely must try Todo Sushi. I've gone to Todo's since I was 9 years old with my family. I am 23 years old now, and I still go with my friends! Dusty's Details: Most of their rolls are 50% off, but make sure you don't confuse regular rolls with "hand rolls," which look like cones of seaweed. Even if you get takeout, the discount is still 40% which is great. It is SO affordable, coming from a broke high school student and still broke college student. There is outside and inside seating. An insider tip is that if you sit at the bar, they usually surprise their guests with a free little mystery appetizer (Jalapeno poppers, two pieces of sushi, a salad). I would recommend the: - Salmon Skin Tempura Roll - Sensual Pleasure Roll - Sweet Hawaiian Roll - Deep fried California Roll - Spicy Tuna Roll - Cucumber Roll (Idk what it is about this roll but I love it) If you have friends that don't like fish or sushi no worries! They have pretty yummy fried rice, meat and rice dishes, and noodle dishes. Come to Todo's and you might even see me there!!!

Amazing place ! My friend needed gluten-free options and they brought out three custom-made sauces for her. Service is amazing. This place is busy for a reason! Happy hour is very busy with 50% off special rolls. I especially loved the green tea as well. All sauces are homemade. Every role has been amazing. Thank you Todo!

It’s a nice neighborhood restaurant. I had their take out before during the pandemic last year. It was pretty nice. This time, we dined in. We tried their two rolls. They are both pretty good, not amazing, but yummy enough for a casual weekday dinner. The tempura’s batter is a little bit too thick, but the flavor is fine.
